A frosty adventure.

(Noel, 32 Energy)

Noel walked along the cold woods before looking up. She was wearing her normal long cloak which blocked the cold and her red scarf and bag were in the same place. Under her cloak around her arm was a joy ribbon she had been using lately. Around her head though something was a bit obvious, a black blindfold was around the Lucario's head blocking her vision, she seemed to move just find despite not being able to see anything around her.

"Alright just got to try this out." The Pokemon muttered to herself as she continued into the dungeon. A gust of cold wind blew her cloak slightly. She stood her ground as she took a good look of the area. "Snow always seems so nice." She muttered to herself as she kept walking.

Sosio: {33 - 20 = 13}

Sosio flew forwards, a determined look on her face, as she approached the icy forest. She broke mid-air and stared upon the bundle of trees. She stared upon them as if, for the first time ever, trees were her enemy. The bird had always loved trees, as they provided a home, a resting spot, a possible friend when lonely, but the once-Fletchling learned to avoid and hate the cold.

Surely I can just fly over, right? she thought, looking above the forest. Unfortunately, some storm clouds spewing snow were making it impossible for any flying-type to make it through. It has always been too dangerous to fly through active clouds, especially when so cold in the atmosphere.

A gust of wind threatened to blow the Fletchinder's Joy Ribbon right off of her head, and as she felt it, she ducked her head. Recognizing this, she flew down where the wind was less fierce, and far less likely to steal her most valuable item. Her legs straitened as she stared up now at the towering trees, ribbon whipping and furling in the direction the wind was going, with no destination--unlike Sosio. It was finally time she made it to the Floating Islands.

Noel {32}

Noel kept walking along the path but ended up hitting her foot against a rather large and obvious rock, something she was easily notice if she didn't have the blindfold. "Ahh, guess it's harder to move like this." She said as she gave a small sigh and walked around the rock.

Noel looked at her arm to see if she could sense her own body, she wasn't able to see far but she could sense a lot of things around her. One of them happened to be a slightly familiar Aura pattern. The Lucario turned around and started walking in the direction she sensed the Aura. It would look weird considering she had a blindfold on but she still walked briskly to her destination.

Noel stopped just around the area as she focused her Aura sense to try and find the Pokemon.

Sosio: {13}

The fire-flying type glided smoothly above the path that led into the woods, her feathers already standing on end as a natural reaction to the cold, her body trying to keep warm. The vibration of a shiver rippled down her legs, as they weren't protected by some soft down. She then turned her head sideways to spot a large bipedal blue Pokemon also in the forest.

As a Fletchinder's eyes are positioned on the sides of the face, but still very forward, her brain ignores the beak that would sit in her vision, and has to view everything sideways. Her blind spot is never a bother, however, as she was the same way when she was just a Fletchling.

As the Pokemon hit a rock, Sosio burst out in laughter, accidentally shooting an Ember when her beak flew open. She straightened herself from the falling position and continued to watch it. When it turned towards her, its blindfolded face looked even funnier than seeing it trip, and laughed with a closed beak. It felt great to laugh at others, or at all, even at herself.

Noel heard laughing coming from the Pokemon she was facing. Noel thought for a moment and decided this Pokemon must of seen her trip and also seen her blindfolded, while it might of been funny to see Noel wasn't really laughing, she did give a slight chuckle thinking it would of been funny to see a fully formed Lucario trip on a small rock. "I see someone's having a good time." Noel said still looking at the Pokemon. Noel knew it was there before it started laughing at her but she couldn't prove it.

"Wait, do I know you from somewhere?" Noel asked thinking she might of seen this Pokemon before, well her Aura before. It would be more obvious without the blindfold but all Noel had to go on was her Aura sense.

Sosio: {13}

The silly Fletchinder landed with a forward flap of her wings and folded them at her side.
"Sorry, but you have to admit that was pretty funny," her voiced cracked after having laughed for quite a bit. She then randomly became baffled. "Hawgwa-huhh?I don't--wait, w--I'm... Sosio... Squaa...?"

How could a Pokemon even know who she was if they couldn't see her? Perhaps by voice. Sosio mainly remembered what she heard, and the voice of this other did seem oddly familiar. Did perhaps an old friend evolve, just as Sosio had?

"Ya I will admit on the other side of this blindfold it must be funny." Noel replied as she thought about the name, she knew she'd heard it before but couldn't recall where. "Wait ya I remember, we went through Shadowhue when I was just a Riolu." Noel said as the memory came back to her. "I'm the Riolu with the red scarf, Noel" she said hoping she'd know the name.

"I guess I've gone through quite a big change." Noel said not knowing how long it was since she had evolved, felt long but short.

Sosio: {13 - roll}

Upon hearing the name "Noel" with the familiar voice, a memory finally washed over Sosio like a calm warm, yet sudden wave.
"Noel!" She chirped loudly, almost ready to leap on her old friend. "You've evolved? So have I! Although you can't see it... And I think you'd be happy to know my wing's all healed... Heh."

Sosio was ashamed she could ever forget a friend. Then again, she had terrible memory over all. She was surprised enough that she could remember what condition she was in when she first met the Riolu, but that was because she remembered the aura Pokemon wrapping the Fletchling's injured wing in a bandage. Unknowingly, it was because of that healing that her wing was no longer broken, but because she thought it still was, she never tried flying. Now she couldn't stop flying. Except to greet this friend.

"Nice, I'm glad it isn't broken anymore. Bet now you can't stop flying around" Noel said slightly trying to ignore the sight comment. Noel could kinda see. Mostly outlines of things but the only reason she hit the rock was because she wasn't paying attention. "It's good to find someone I know out here." Noel said as she felt another cold wind blow through the icy forest, it is cold around here. "So what brings you here?" Noel decided to ask mostly as a conversation starter.

Noel tried to ignore the fact that something was blocking her vision, she wanted to pull off the blindfold in order to see her friend but she knew her training wouldn't go to well if the blindfold was blown away in the wind.

Sosio: {13 - 1 = 12}

Sosio nodded enthusiastically, but then realized that the other Pokemon couldn't see.
"Uh, yeah, all the time," the bird giggled. She would've showed off tricks while flying, but the Pokemon was oddly blindfolded...
"Say, why do you have your eyes blocked off like that? Can't you just take it off...?" she asked, pointing a talon to the cloth blocking out the acquaintance's eyes, the only thing visible now was a muzzle because of her cloak.

Her eyes wandered away and spotted a yellow berry, one very delicious and valuable in the use of healing. The Fletchinder snatched it up quickly. Now with two, they would come in handy if she ever grew tired and in need of food.

Noel scratched the back of her head, it was a bit hard to explain because telling another you had some special sense that allowed you to see through some things wasn't very believable. "Well you see with my species I'm granted the ability to see using something called Aura vision, it allows me to see through some objects and also allows me to see other Pokemon's Aura." Noel explained the best she could but forgot to add the part of the blindfold.

"Oh and this is so I can't cheat on training, I'm going through multiple dungeons without the use of my sight just my aura sense." Noel quickly added. "So what brings you here?" Noel asked thinking it a simple question.

Sosio: {12}

Sosio tilted her head a mere 9 degrees in the curiosity of what "Aura vision" could be. As she explained it, it only further confused the young Fletchinder. Perhaps it wasn't necessarily "seeing", but rather an extra sense that visually transferred to an image in mind as powerful and important as sight.
"Oh, oh, I have a similar thing. I can listen to the ground and hear movement and vibrations, but it's kind of a combination of feeling and hearing, and it gives me images of where the Pokemon are. All birds can do it, because it's an ability used to listen for bug-type prey. Since I don't eat bugs, I used it for exploring instead!" she finished with her tongue hanging out and clamped lightly between the tongs of her beak. She stared as the aura Pokemon explained her blindfold, and the bird then answered the following question:
"I need to pass through here to get to the river on the other side. That will lead to a mountain range that's even closer to my goal! I'm gonna make it to the Floating Islands if it's the last thing I do!"

"Huh, well learn something new everyday." Noel said having no idea bird Pokemon could do that. It seemed a bit odd to hear but it also sounded something similar to what she could do, maybe any Pokemon could learn how to do something like that. It was a nice thought to ponder that with enough training any Pokemon could use something like what Sosio described.

"Floating island?" Noel questioned, she hadn't heard about any floating island around here. Might of been for the best would of just made her jealous because she couldn't fly. "Well I'm sure you will make it." Noel said with a smile.

Sosio nodded now, enthusiastically.
"Yeah, they're islands that can float! Only flying Pokemon can get there."
The Lucario's assurance filled the Fletchinder with confidence. She puffed her feathers and stood up straighter, once hunched from the cold. A strange heat source resulted from her morale; her flame sac in her chest began to heat up, which usually only occurs when she would prepare an Ember. It gave her a sudden rush of adrenaline as well, that of which that would easily increase her speed. She began to bounce on her heels, no longer cold, and thrilled now that she didn't have to suffer the freezing temperatures... Unlike her acquaintance here.

"I wonder they float" Noel asked no one in particular as she felt the cold, if she didn't have this coat and scarf she'd be a bit cold right now. Luckily she was wearing these item's plus a bit underneath. "So since we both seem to be going the same way how about we team up for now, it would be safer." Noel said thinking it would be for the best, and she didn't want to run into anything she couldn't fight with the blindfold on. Noel did feel something but decided to ignore it for now, it was most likely the cold.
