The mystical shrine.

After walking through Fallen Leaf Copse, finding a Sun Ribbon, and running into bunches of peaceful Pokémon, Lance and Dawn finally made it to the shrine. Lance walked up and looked at the single candle, with a flame on top that danced with the breeze, but never went out. There was also a stone tablet in front of the shrine, but Lance was looking at the ground. "It seems others have been here before us." He said, looking at the barely noticeable footprints. "we could be too late, but then again, we could not." He then turned to look at the stone tablet. It had Unown symbols on it. He looked at it for awhile, then turned to Dawn. "Can you read this?"

Dawn looked at the strange lettering. They really were unown letters. But the words they spelled made no sense. Heh, most weren't even words. "Can you read this?". Dawn looked to Lance and said "Yes, and I recognize these letters. But they seem scrambled, since they don't spell out real words." She thought for a moment. Dawn picked up a stick and wrote what the tablet said, but in the more recognizable letters that were used nowadays by Pokémon. She wrote the following in the ground:

Lance watched as Dawn wrote what the tablet said on the ground. "Hmm... your right. Most of these don't spell anything. But some of them look sorta like words..." He then picked up a stick and started writing under what Dawn had wrote, except he sorted out some of the words. What he wrote was this:


He then crossed his arms and looked at what he wrote. "I still have no clue what some of these things spell, or if they even spell anything. It could just be some old Pokémon language they spelled with Unown symbols, or a name or a place. But if some of these words spell things when sorted out, I may be wrong."

Dawn looked at what Lance wrote and began to think. "Hmm..." With the stick she had picked up earlier, she began to write slowly what she thought the words were. She wrote each word slowly, and she spoke what she thought it would be. "Burn the leaves... of fallen... warriors... to receive... their... strength..." It took her about three minutes to unscramble those words. Good thing she had tried those word unscrambling games before... She paused for a second, before writing under the sentence she previously wrote. "Blue..." She paused for a bit longer than usual. What was this word? Oh, purple. Purple... white... two three... two one one" It took her the same amount of time to unscramble the rest.

Lance looked at what Dawn has now written, and read it out loud.

"Burn the leaves of the fallen warriors to receive their strength.
Blue purple white two three two one one"

He stared at it after a while, and frowned. "This is confusing. 'Burn the leaves of the fallen warriors to receive their strength.' The leaves look like any old leaves. Hmmm..." The Riolu read it over a couple more times, then came to a conclusion.
"Maybe there are different colored leaves, but we didn't see any. And we find the leaves, and burn them in a specific number or pattern...or both. That's the only thing that makes sense."

(OOC: Don't say the pattern we're burning the leaves. We don't want someone reading this to steal the idea. :3)

Ooc: Alright, I will be sure to repost the pattern that we use in our Pm's so we don't forget.

Dawn nodded in agreement. "Considering that they would be needed to solve this riddle, it makes sense the leaves needed would be rare or at least uncommon." She looked at the candle and at the ashes surrounding it. "We should probably go back and keep exploring, so we can find the colored leaves".
