Shadowhue was known for being dark, hence the name.  So dark that in some of the more densely forested areas it could be difficult to tell the time of day.  It was far darker at night.  It seemed as if this place was now the definition of darkness.  Visibility was little more than a few feet, making for an eerie and dangerous environment.  To top it all off, it was freezing....

Acually, the cold was more of a plus side for a certain glaceon who had decided to venture into the dark woods.  Sova had found that since evolving, he enjoyed the cold.  Likely because of his new ice typing.  One thing was not in a hurry to learn was how he handled something like desert heat now.

"Love what you've done with the place."  The icy fox sarcastically commented to the darkness that was Shadowhue Forest.  It wasn't like he had anyone to talk to.  May as well get used to talking to himself.  At least that would help keep his mind from wandering and playing tricks on him in the darkness.  Or maybe it would do the opposite.  Either way, he was here for the purpose of completing missions and no overly creepy atmosphere was going to stop him.

Acro watched the Glaceon walk away, and began to follow after the glaceon took a few steps away. He looked back at Linus nervously, before following the Glaceon. It was a bit weird to be talked about in front of him. He felt as if he should say something, but did not know quite what. He heard the flapping of wings behind him, singaling that Linus was following them. He wondered what the honchkrow thought of him now, did he hold the same opinion? Why DID he stay?

Linus did not respond, only watching as the glaceon turned to leave. The flying type took to the skies, and followed them from a distance. The words of the glaceon toyed about in his mind, as the Honchkrow wondered what his mother would say about this. She was nice, but she had told him to always listen to legends and myths, for they could quite possibly be true. The dark type flapped his wings harshly, the conflicting ideas of being nice and being alive at war within him.

As the trio walked along, Sova kept his eyes peeled for any apples. He considered seeing if Linus'd had any change of heart from his words, but decided to give it more time before trying to bring the topic up again, at the very least. He could try to have a conversation with Acro, but leaving Linus out would be rude, even if he wasn't overly happy with the crow currently. Finally, he decided on a topic. "Why ARE you in a guild? Both of you, I'm curious. I personally entered the Grassveil guild because my parents a-....were in it. I've found other motivations for staying in the guild since then, though....", he questioned to the two, then explained his answer to his own question first, as a show of good faith.

"Well...I needed a place to stay after my mother kicked me out of the nest...so I kind of wandered around and found out about the guild...I found George and we became friends and I joined the guild with him...i've stuck to it ever since..." Acro responded, a bit hesitant to talk about it due to the mentioning of his first ever partner that had abandoned him. The archeops continued onward, forgetting to be on the look out for apples.

Linus remained silent from above, not wanting to speak of why he joined the guild. His mother had abandoned him, with good intentions however, and he had decided to join the guild for free lodging for the exchange of labor. Didn't seem like too bad of a deal back then, but now it was as if it wasn't worth it anymore.

"Well, I think you're pretty good at it for what that's worth.", Sova replied, partly out of honestly and partly in an attempt to cheer the archeops up.  "And thanks for the input up there, you've got GREAT social skills, Linus!", he sarcastically added on, since the overgrown murkrow didn't want to speak.
He continued keeping his eyes peeled for abnormally large apples, which finally paid off as he spotted an apple tree.  He stopped walking and began looking between the apples hanging on the tree for any that looked large enough to suffice for his mission.

The archeops had been about to respond, but they had been interrupted. A duo of venomoth had burst from the bushes. The two didn't seem to attack though, they looked to each other nervously, one holding onto a bag of items while the other moved forward to speak, "Uh...Hi...you see, we're a part of a clan of Venomoth, and uh...we apologize for our friend's behaviors, the previous venomoth you've fought, but we would appreciate it if you stopped killing our friends. Here, we even brought a piece offering," the venomoth with the bag dropped the bag in front of them, revealing an unusual box, apple, and two reviver seeds, "Deal?"

Linus stopped as the two venomoths approached, he completely ignored the sarcastic comment, deciding it would be best to just tune the glaceon out before he made him feel even more guilty about his life choices. The honchkrow landed on a nearby tree branch, watching and waiting in case a fight broke out.

Sova tensed up as the two venomoths appeared, instinctively expecting them to attack because this place seemed to just be filled with hyper-aggressive venomoths. But to his surprise, they pretty much did the exact opposite. "Uh.... Alright then, thanks. But....I don't think we killed them. Actually, I distinctly remember letting one go with barely any injuries.", he replied in defense of himself and his allies.... okay, mostly himself. He had been doing most of the violent assaulting after all.

"But if they don't attack us, we won't attack them." He shrugged. Whether or not he got into another fight today was not something that was going to worry him. He didn't care either way. If the venomoths stopped attacking, he'd stop laying them out. But he'd still accept the peace offering regardless....

"So it's a deal okay bye!" the venomoths took off, eager to get out of there before the deal could be changed. Acro blinked, wondering if the venomoths had been up to something. He sure hoped that they were just some weird bugs, because he was unable to use Ancient Power anymore, his best attack. The archeops had been using the move a bit too much, and it was exhausting to even attempt to use the move. He would have to rely on Fly and Iron Tail for attacks, Fly took a while to perform, and Iron Tail did little damage against the bug types, so it would be a rather difficult battle for him.

Linus remained silent still, watching the venomoths flee, at least he thought of it as fleeing. The honchkrow's shoulders hunched over his back, as he watched them go. He sighed, not sure on what to do other than follow these two psychopaths around. He couldn't leave the guild, it was disappoint his mother if she found out, and he wouldn't get to help other pokemon. He wouldn't achieve his dreams of changing himself for the better, and what a wonderful job he was doing at that this moment!

"Oooookaaaay then....", Sova said in confusion as he grabbed up the items one by one with a paw and dropped them in his bag. If the other two wanted some of the stuff, he had no problem sharing, but he got the feeling Acro was too depressed to care and Linus was too scared to ask even if he wanted to.
"Ready to go? Yes? Alright then.", he rhetorically asked as he began walking along the path they were on again. Then something caught his attention....a sound. He listened closely, thinking at first that it was his imagination, until he heard it again. It sounded like someone fighting. He slowly began walking towards the sounds, almost as if he was in a trance-like state. In reality, he was just very alert. After all, it seemed like he was walking into a fight.... because something in his head had decided that was a good idea.

Acro blinked as he watched the glaceon suddenly take off in a different direction, "hear something?" he asked, the Archeops's hearing not as sharp as the Glaceon's. An avian's specialty lied in the eyes, and his hearing was not enough to hear the sounds the glaceon heard. He blinked once more, watching the glaceon leave, before following him. He was still rather disheartened by the events of this trip, not feeling too well and desiring nothing more than finding the phantump and going straight back to ailreon, maybe curl up in his nest. Cry a bit. Wish he had a hug. That kind of stuff.

Linus's head rose as the glaceon wandered off. He adjusted his legs, his wings at the ready to take off and follow Sova. He jumped off the branch, his large wings beating the air to allow him to gain some lift and get into the air. He didn't quite break the tree tops, for he needed to see the Glaceon in order to follow him. Breaking the tree tops would just result in the sight of the sky and a sea of green leaves.

Sova followed the sounds as they grew louder, barely noticing Acro speaking to him and having nowhere near enough concentration on the archeops to answer. But of course, that wasn't going to stop him from answering anyways. "There's a thing....", he muttered as he walked.
Surely, this was descriptive enough to suffice.

As the sounds grew louder, he could make out a clearing with some commotion. As he neared, it became a bit more evident what was going on. There were two pokemon fighting in the center of the clearing, a heracross and a pinsir. Off to the side, there was a group of three shroomish watching and occasionally cheering. In a tree above the mushroom-men was a slakoth, gripped to a branch and watching the battle. Closer to the two combatants, the glaceon saw an exeggutor, who seemed to be simply watching for the time being, staying close enough to step in if it wanted to but keeping enough distance to not get its self hurt.

Upon closer examination, he managed to spot something else. A little creature on a blue flower, hovering around above the bug warriors. A flabebe. For a moment, the glaceon considered attacking it, but he realized soon enough that it wasn't the same one and clearly wasn't even trying to fight. "Oooh.... What's this?", he questioned to the air around him as he watched.

Acro looked at the combatants in the ring. The heracross moving to attack the Pinsir, but the pinsir had quickly dodged, and locked onto the heracross's horn with its pincer. The two were locked in a power struggle, waiting for the other to give in. He tilted his head, "A sparring match?" he spoke, figuring that the cheering pokemon and the flabebe were an audience and referee.

Linus looked down at the scene below, wondering if this was a real fight or just a sparring match. The audience and referee seemed to suggest it was a spar but the ferocity of the contestants seemed to speak otherwise. They refused to hold back, giving it everything they had until they fell to the ground. The flabebe then pointed its hand to the sky, using Wish, and healed the two back to full health, where they would begin again.

A spar?  It certainly didn't seem like just a random battle.  Most normal battles wouldn't have an audience, after all.  Sova found himself wondering if this spar was limited to just two or if it was open for others to join.  For some reason, a battle seemed like just what he needed.  Though there was still the risk of him losing control.... but this surely wouldn't be an issue with a heal fountain around.  "What ever it is, looks fun.", he replied to the archeops before heading off to meet the contestants.

"Hey, I wanna talk to you two.", he requested of the two battling bugs, who ceased their spar for a moment to look to the glaceon who'd interrupted them.

"We're kinda busy, what?", the heracross questioned.

"Room for one more?", Sova asked hopefully."

The two bugs looked to each other, then back to the glaceon standing before them.  "We're not a big fan of three-way fights like that and we don't like taking turns.", the heracross explained.

"But if you've got a partner, we could go two on two!", the pinsir added on.

Sova raised a paw up to signal the two to wait for a moment before darting off back to his allies.  "Either of you bored?"

"I don't think this is a very good idea," Acro spoke up, "At least for me, i'm still rather spent from uh...back then..." he spoke, not desiring to bring up the horrible memories of the voice. The archeops still had no clue that the flabebe had been the source of the voice, the event never had been explained to him. He looked up to Linus as the bird responded, wondering if he would accept the challenge.

Linus huffed after Acro responded, "I think this is an absolutely horrible idea, we need to get the phantump and get out. The more time we waist the higher the chance of being unable to find the client," the honchkrow huffed. He glided down onto the ground, still keepng a distance from Acro.

Sova rolled his eyes at the two. No fun, neither of them wanted to go for a little harmless competition. "Alright, how about this.... Acro, you go on ahead and complete your mission. Linus, you stick around with me and spar with these guys. That flabebe seems to be a medic and I'll make sure to look after you, so you don't have to worry. Plus you have a type advantage on them. Come on, you need some practice anyways if you wanna be able to protect your self.", he suggested to the two, preferring that Linus fight with him as he already knew Acro was more than capable and didn't need any practice.

Plus, if they agreed to split up, Linus seemed like the least capable to be left alone to finish a mission.

The archeops shook his head, "No, we can just wait here, it'll just be a quick spar right? Go have some fun," he looked to the honchkrow, hoping to get back onto his good side.His hopes were destroyed as the honchkrow merely huffed in annoyance and flew into the ring. The archeops took a seat next to the shroomish, relieved to get some rest. His muscles complained as he sat, letting their suffering be known. The arhcopes sighed, and waited for the battle to commence.

Linus huffed in annoyance, seeing that the two insisted on this waste of time. He hopped forward, keeping some space between him and the Glaceon, but still close enough to be considered as a teammate. He looked at the two, wondering if they were easily going to win. What if that monster showed up again? What was he going to do? Linus grew rather concerned, maybe he should have insisted to keep moving.
