Mission Infos:

Shadowhue was known for being dark, hence the name.  So dark that in some of the more densely forested areas it could be difficult to tell the time of day.  It was far darker at night.  It seemed as if this place was now the definition of darkness.  Visibility was little more than a few feet, making for an eerie and dangerous environment.  To top it all off, it was freezing....

Acually, the cold was more of a plus side for a certain glaceon who had decided to venture into the dark woods.  Sova had found that since evolving, he enjoyed the cold.  Likely because of his new ice typing.  One thing was not in a hurry to learn was how he handled something like desert heat now.

"Love what you've done with the place."  The icy fox sarcastically commented to the darkness that was Shadowhue Forest.  It wasn't like he had anyone to talk to.  May as well get used to talking to himself.  At least that would help keep his mind from wandering and playing tricks on him in the darkness.  Or maybe it would do the opposite.  Either way, he was here for the purpose of completing missions and no overly creepy atmosphere was going to stop him.

"Uh...Sova maybe you should lay down for a bit," Acro suggested, getting closer to the glaceon. He was taking it slow, not wanting to startle him into thinking he was attacking and-his slow paced approach had been out-sped. A certain fairy flower rushed past him and performed a small dance while casting Wish onto the glaceon. It gave a happy chirp before going to work on its allies, the Heracross and the Pinser.

Linus looked towards the glaceon, and then had his attention drawn towards the shroomish. A small phantump had been giggling and clapping its small ghostly hands. He tilted his head, a bit confused, who was this? His head still was not on straight quite yet, and he had completely forgotten about the mission.

"Wuh.... I'm already laying down....", Sova replied to what ever had spoken to him. He had technically collapsed, but.... he was still pretty much laying down. Then he noticed the feeling coming back to him along with his full awareness. At first, his injuries began hurting him again, then the pain began fading away. His vision focused back to normal and he felt almost good as new within a few moments.

His memory of the last moments of the fight was a bit fuzzy, he thought he remembered winning, but he wasn't sure. "Is Linus alright.... and uh.... did we win?", he questioned to the figure that had been revealed to be Linus Acro.

Acro looked to the fainted bugs, and nodded, "Uh...yeah you won. Linus got beaten pretty badly, but he'll be fine thanks to the flabebe..." he looked to Linus, who was still regaining his memory and figuring out if he was in heaven or not. The archeops looked back to Sova, "We also found the client for my mission, now we just need to find your two apples and we can all go home and get some well deserved rest!" he spoke with optimism, or at least tried to at least fake it. His defeatist ability was not exactly assisting him in this situation, combined with the mental catastrophe from earlier.

Linus shook his head again, remembering everything and realizing that he was not dead. His body still had sores, but he forced himself into the air and into the nearest tree. There he would roost until he was back to tip-top shape, that is if the group didn't get moving again first.

Sova began giggling uncontrollably at all of the revelations from the archeops. Partially due to his exhausted and worn mind, he found this situation to be hilarious. The relief of knowing a mission had pretty much been handed to them and they'd won the fight, the mention of how Linus had gotten beat down.... and last bot not least, the mention of rest. As if he could ever really "rest." He could barely sleep for a few hours at a time without waking up from nightmares.... There was no room left in his mind for rest. And for some reason, the archeops' misguided optimism about this was hilarious.

"OOOOH, we won! Or.... I won! But that's okay, I learned what I needed about Linus.... Ahah...." He stood to his feet before continuing. "....I'ma take him out and train him after this. Maybe not right after this, but after we're done here.... He needs some help. You don't mind, right?", he explained to Acro, hoping to get the archeops' approval.

"Uh...sure but you'd need to get his approval I think...we may be a team and i'm the leader, but I can't just FORCE him to do whatever I please...it's not right..." Acro thought that the glaceon's actions were rather strange...what was wrong with his friend? The archeops's face was obvious with worry, and his wings folded to his sides as he waited for a response. He looked over to Linus, wondering what the bird would say about this.

Linus remained in his tree, healing himself with his Roost move, and waiting for the healing properties to assist him in getting a straight mind. The bird heard his name be mentioned by Sova, and opened an eye to look at the glaceon, wondering what he had wanted from him. He did nothing however, desiring to just sit back and relax. The client was here, there was nothing to worry about...right?

Sova waved a paw dismissively at the archeops. "Pfff, I know that. He'll agree. He just got laid out with me doing my best to protect him.... if he plans to stay in the guild, he knows he needs to do better than that.", he spoke purposely loud enough for Linus to hear if he was listening in. "What do you say? Wanna come with me and learn how to fight, or keep hiding behind everyone and everything and getting flattened every time you get into a fight?", he questioned to the honchkrow, expecting it not to require much thought for him to come up with a "yes."

Acro looked back to the glaceon as he spoke, before turning back to Linus for the answer. The archeops had to admit, it was probably a good idea. It was something he couldn't quite do himself either. The honchkrow didn't seem to want to touch him with a 10 foot pole now, and he seemed almost completely different from the nervous little murkrow he had been at the beginning of the night. Did evolution really change pokemon that much, or was the honchkrow showing a bit more of his true colors?

Linus heard the offer, even he had to admit. He was pretty pathetic. He knew he could do little in a fight, he couldn't even handle a Heracross for crying out loud! The flying type sighed, and nodded. He realized that the glaceon probably could not see him, and gave a more vocal answer, "Sure, why the hell not?" he huffed.

Upon hearing the honchkrow's answer, Sova sighed, which led into laughter, gradually raising in volume. The way he was feeling right now was weird. Was this how his split personality got to feel all the time?? He.... liked it. It was like his whole body was so much more alive than normal. Adrenaline is a hell of a drug. It was already fading away, though.... But if it was caused by the act of fighting, he'd surely get a chance to test that out soon enough. He could wait.... For now he'd just enjoy the lingering feeling.

When he finally got a hold of himself and stopped his laughing after a good 15 seconds, he remembered the items next to the tree that they'd won. "Ey, Acro.... Go ahead and take the stuff we won.", he stated before flopping to the ground lazily and rolling onto his back. He waved a paw in the general direction the tree with the items set near it was, not bothering to actually look to see the exact location. He wanted to just relax for a moment and enjoy this feeling. He also just wanted to lay down for a moment as he was beginning to get dizzy again. Perhaps the Wish hadn't done as much for him as he would have preferred.... But that didn't matter.

The archeops looked to the pile, making his way to the items and picking them up. The heracross and the Pinsir had stood up, and allowed them to take the items without trouble. Acro shoved the items into his bag, planning to pick them out and hand them over to the glaceon once he wasn't...whatever he was right now. Sova was acting strange, and it was scaring Acro a little bit. The bird's mind was altered at the moment, the defeatist ability being the worst idea to have ever been had about what ability a pokemon should have.

Linus finally felt his head clear, but he was still rather sore from where the stones had pelted him. He left the branch, gliding down towards the phantump.
"Hey, are you lost?" he asked the small child.
"No! I was just looking for mommy!" the child giggled.
Linus did not know what to think, other than that they should take this pokemon home to his father now, "Okay, so, want to go home now?" he asked the small pokemon.
"Sure!" it answered, hopping off the head of the shroomish.

Sova stretched before getting back to his feet as the last of the nice feeling faded away. It seemed like it was about time to move on. The battle was over, Acro had collected the winnings and they'd even found the phantump. "Well, that was fun. Cya around!", he said to the two bugs with a wave of his paw.
He began walking in a random direction, but realized he didn't know where the phantump needed to go. It'd probably be best if he waited for his allies and the phantump to decide where they were going. "Sooo, where to?"

"Well, the kid needs to be escorted on out of here, so I guess we just need to find the apples for your mission and we can head out and get some rest," Acro spoke up as Linus hopped closer to them with the phantump floating just beside him. He was relieved that this mission was finally almost over, he could rest up and perhaps tomorrow would be a better day. Perhaps he needed a vacation or something? Some time to relax. The thought was rather appealing to the archeops, but he wondered if it would be good.

Linus neared the two, sticking near the phantump in the case anything decided to attack. He remained silent, not having anything to say to the two. He would probably have been ashamed of himself for losing like that in the match, but he had already known he was likely to have gotten his butt kicked so easily. What he didn't expect was his butt being kicked that hard, the sores would likely be there for quite a while before they went away.

"Alright then.", Sova replied and began looking through the trees for any exceptionally big apples. "Linus, think you could fly up through the trees and find some Big Apples for me? You can check the trees more thoroughly than me, I can only see the apples on the outside.", he requested of the honchkrow and pointed to a big looking apple tree. Surely, there were some Big Apples there that he just couldn't see from his point of view.

Linus looked to the glaceon, then at the tree. He was a bit hesitant to leave the side of the client, but took off and dived into the tree. He searched around, trying to find a good sized apple that would qualify as a Big Apple that was nice and ripe. He hopped from branch to branch, the branches shook with every one he hopped on. The apples shook and dropped from the tree, whether they were ripe or not. None were a fitting size, and some even looked bitten into.

Acro watched the apples drop, doubting the health of the tree as the foul apples dropped from it. He looked to Sova, "So uh...when do you plan to do the thing?" he asked, "You're not going to go anywhere too dangerous with him are you?"

Sova watched as the honchkrow went off to the tree to search for apples. When Acro spoke up, he got to thinking. He hadn't actually decided where to go yet. "After we finish these missions and get rested up, I'll probably take him somewhere hard to traverse with threats I know I can protect him from. Maybe Blackspear Mountains or that frozen stream in the Icy Lands. Nowhere like Mount Frostmeer or the Obsidian Crevice though.", he explained, pretty much coming up with it as he spoke. But it seemed like a solid plan regardless.

Acro grew concerned as the glaceon mentioned taking him to Frozen Stream, he had been there before and things were rather difficult for him. It was probably due to the major type disadvantage with the ice types against his flying and rock type, but that didn't mean that the other flying type would have it any easier, "I don't know..." he mumbled, watching the honchkrow return empty handed. He stood up, "We should get moving, I think the sun might be rising soon and there aren't any apples around here, that and I think the pinsir and heracross want to start sparring between each other again..."

Linus looked to the two bug types as Acro spoke, the two seemed to be looking at them, as the group was smack in the middle of their spar arena still. He had to agree, they needed to go. He wanted to go home, get out of here. Find someplace else or even just give up on the Glaceon's last mission and head home.
