Back to the mountain!

Serena looked up at the mountain. It had been a while since she had been here, and gone to the very top of it. The Servine smiled. All the memories from when she was a Snivy came back like a pleasant breeze. What fun she'd had with Noel.... racing, using aura to guide them..... That was an exciting ascent. Now the grass type was planning on ascending it again.

Deimos, after a good while of travelling had finally arrived at another mountainous area... one similar to the one he once called home, yet different at the same time. He figured that for a change, he'd head somewhere that he would be more... adept... at traversing, he was quite used to traversing mountainous terrain considering how long he had lived in such terrain in seclusion. Looking upwards, he could see it was by no means a small mountain, this could take some time to traverse, but he couldn't just wimp out, he was a traveler, no traveler should just back down because it would take a while.

Serena heard claws clicking on the ground behind her. Turning around, she saw it was an Absol. The dark types never really appeared in the mountain range, so the Servine knew he wasn't a threat. Just in case, the grass type kept walking to make sure he wasn't following her on purpose.

Before starting to make his way through the Mountain, Deimos took a quick glance around, wanting to at the very least try and spot a landmark, or waypoint of some sort. While doing so, he did notice the presence of a Servine, he figured it had to be another traveler or an explorer of some kind, the mountain didn't seem as if it would be a natural habitat for feral Servines after all at first glance.

Deimos merely shook his head... a Servine wouldn't work for a landmark for if he needed to return, and he couldn't see anything that really stood out. Letting off a faint sigh, he began walking on ahead, towards the mountain... it was about time to start ascending... hopefully this would go well like his travel through the misty hill did.

Serena started up the path, and saw there were ledges. Grinning, she started using Vine Whip to traverse the mountain that way. It was definitely more fun and challenging, because sometimes the ledges would be farther apart. 'Wow.... this is better than the beaten path down there.....' The Servine thought gleefully.

As Deimos began heading up the beaten path, he did spot the Servine making good usage of the terrain to speed up it's travel throughout... it made sense, best use the environment... he had to presume she had been here before. As he continued down the path, he kept his eyes open for any potential landmarks or waypoints... he didn't want to get lost within the mountains, that's just complicate matters.

Serena looked down to see the Absol on the path. Seeing he was looking around for a landmark of some sort, she decided to tell him. "There's a rock that looks like a Charmander further up the mountain if you're looking for a landmark." She said. The Servine had raced against Noel to that rock, and it felt like a precious memory to her.

Deimos merely continued walking along the path until the Servine eventually spoke up about some form of rock that looked like a Charmander... in the very least it confirmed she wasn't a feral Pokémon of any kind that his presumption that she knew the area was correct. He looked towards the Servine that had been scaling via the ledges and nodded out of appreciation... he lacked anything to say really, although words weren't exactly necessary when a simple motion can convey a meaning much easier and quicker.

Serena smiled at the Absol and continued on her way up. This really was a nifty way to ascend the mountain. After she reached a certain point she'd have to find Black Spiral Staircase, though. That was the Servine's only problem with traversing this way. Shrugging off the thought, she continued with a smile.

Deimos watched as the Servine resumed it's own ascent throughout the mountain, after which he returned his attention to his surrounding and the beaten path... a rock shaped like a Charmander... that should stand out quite well. Deimos continued down the path, keeping his eye's open for the apparently present landmark.

Serena felt maybe she should introduce herself and help out the Absol. "If it helps you any, I'll help you along the way. I'm Serena." She said calmly. The Servine felt that it would be better if they helped each other along on their ascent of the mountain.

When the Servine spoke about being able to help, Deimos stopped for a moment... last time he spoke with another Pokémon it turned out she liked him and it became overly awkward... he had to be careful here. what surprised him a bit more was her name... didn't Ramira mention a Pokémon with that name? Didn't she say it was the name of a friend of hers? what was she doing all the way out here?

"It wouldn't be appropriate to decline such an offer... I'm Deimos" He spoke, he didn't want to say more than was necessary... he still had that whole... well... whatever the terminology would be, he still had to work out all of that.

Serena nodded. "Pleasure to make your acquaintance, Deimos." She said. The Servine wondered where Ramira was at the moment. Last she'd seen her, she was explaining that she had been camping in a dungeon. What kind of sane Pokemon would do that unless they lived there?! The thought still seemed insane to the grass type.

Going off of what he could recall... he had to presume this was the same one that Ramira had mentioned back within the forest... before that somewhat awkward moment involving the snare trap. "Same to you" Deimos spoke in order to reply to her... he was trying to be careful with his words, he didn't need another girl randomly liking him right off the bat... how did that even happen last time anyway, it didn't particularly make sense. Either way, he resumed his walk on the beaten path, making sure to keep his eye's open for the mentioned landmark.

Serena smiled. Not noticing the Sitrus berry on the ground, she continued with lots of energy and speed. Vine Whip didn't seem to run out at the moment, but if it did, she'd use Leaf Tornado to make herself be flown up in that fashion instead. Starting to slow down a little, she saw Deimos walking at about the same speed below her.
