| Subject: (Up for Adoption) Siccor the Litwick Mon Jan 12, 2015 1:50 am | |
| » Name: Siccor » Gender: Male » Species: Litwick #607 the Candle Pokemon » Affiliation: None ~ Wanderer
» Level: 5 » Energy: 16 » Ability: Flame Body » Moves: - Ember - Start - Astonish - Start - Heat Wave - Egg - Smog - 5
» Personality: Siccor tends to be quite lively, and upbeat, often stating that the dangers and challenges ahead will be “no problem” although, he’s not optimistic to the point where he would willingly go up against insane odds, however he would certainly try to act like he could. In many ways his outgoing appearance is simply a cover up for all the failures he's been through. He may be feeling down, or discouraged, but he sure won't let anyone else know that. So he tries to act bigger than he really is, for better or for worse. He’s a bit feisty, trying to prove that he’s more than his small stature might be indicative of. Infact, commenting on his size is one of the quickest ways to anger him. He can be boastful at times, although usually his claims aren’t without merit. He’s also a bit naive and idealistic. He has some self-esteem issues, being easily angered/put down in the face of failure or criticism, but in order to make up for that, he balloons anything he does actually do, in an effort to prove that he’s actually worth something, i.e. boasting over accomplishments. Again, this is his way of making up for some of his downfalls.
» Likes: He generally likes to be the MVP, as this gives something him to brag about, or at least showoff. This also in his mind, counteracts all the negativity he generally received in his early life. His journeys thus far have given him an appreciation for exploring the unknown, or at least an excuse to be curious. He also likes to have fun and laugh, often due to someone elses blunder, but he’ll still help them up when its all said and done. He sometimes needs to laugh at others, but he soon realizes that he’s practically been laughed at for his early life, and quickly makes up for it.
» Dislikes: He has some self-esteem issues (which is why he’s ecstatic once something actually goes right), therefore being one-upped, being told he can’t do something, or just plain failure in general will rub him the wrong way. He also does not like water, due to his physical form more than anything else, as fire and water don’t exactly mix. He also dislikes immediately being classified as some kind of soul-hungry monster, as one, he isn’t, and two, it’s almost insulting since he essentially was expected to be that, and still flopped.
» History: Siccor had been disgraced. He had one job, and he blew it. All of the other litwicks could do it, but him? Nope. How hard was it to lure some unlucky and unknowing figure, drain their lifeforce, and then kick them to the Ghostworld? But Siccor failed spectacularly on all accounts. Not only could he not effectively sap the life from anyone who still could stand, but he couldn’t find the will (or technique) to bring innocent beings to their doom. So, he left, partially because he was consistently mocked, and partially because he was so upset with himself that he reasoned to himself that, somewhere out there, there was something he could do. He had to prove himself useful somehow, someway. He owed it to himself to one day return back, and proclaim himself no longer a failure to all of the naysayers.
Siccor tried a multitude of odd jobs in his search for his true calling. Most of them inevitably ended in failure. He somehow even failed at being an actual candle, being charged with being the doorgreeter for a party and lighting the way, but having a soul-sucking pokemon guide didn’t exactly go well with many. Eventually he began to explore the wilderness, and take up adventuring. After all, between the previous failures at luring others to their doom, Siccor turned to stories that told of great heroism, of ancient treasure, and great renown! He reasoned that since most of the heroes in these stories started off with practically nothing, and simply became grand because they rose to the occasion, that he could too, do the same. Others still insist he’s crazy.
» Other: Being that Siccor has a lack of ability to sap the life force directly from those around him, his flame works a bit differently, working off the general ambient vitality, rather than directly taking it from someone. He has some ability to sap lifeforce, but only a small amount from unconscious opponents. This has absolutely no effect on moves, stats, or otherwise, and is purely aesthetic. For example with a party full of energy, fresh into a dungeon, the flame will be quite large, while with a party that probably should just head home, the flame will be small.
