» Why do you want to adopt them?: My only character is currently the definition of negative and I’m hoping to get a lighter character so I don’t have to constantly RP Mr. Gloomy if I’m not in the mood for it, but I’m not the best at thinking of overly positive traits without making it seem cheesy. I’m also having trouble thinking of more than one character that interests me on my own. So I’m interested in adopting Skylar instead, as she fills the requirements. It also helps that one of the few Pokemon I’m actually interested in is Eevee and there are only eevees available for adoption, not for purchase.
» Sample of roleplay: (Note that I hate doing this whole RP alone thing. It feels awkward as all hell, so go easy on me. ;-; ) It was a beautiful day in the Pecha Forest. Skylar was enjoying the sounds of nature while reading a book in the shade of a tree, just getting to the good part, when her attention was taken to a loud squawking. A murkrow was flapping its way around the forest, seeming panicked about something. Knowing she wouldn't be able to relax with the noise around and thinking perhaps the bird needed help, Sky decided to try to talk to it.
She approached the murkrow and spoke, "Hey, are you alright?" It responded with an abrupt "HAVE YOU SEEN IT!?" The eevee didn't really know how to respond. "What is it you're looking for?" She asked, hoping to get a better view of the situation. "MY LEAF!" It responded. A leaf. All this ruckus over a leaf. "CAN YOU HELP ME FIND IT!?"
Despite the situation not seeming particularly appealing, Sky more than willingly agreed to help. It was the right thing to do. "Alright, calm down, I'll help. What does your leaf look like?" She asked. The murkrow took a moment to think before responding, "Kinda....like a leaf." Sky inwardly sighed. How was she supposed to tell a random leaf apart from all of the others?
After hours of searching, grabbing random leaves that looked noteworthy and showing them to the murkrow just to have them declined, the correct leaf was finally found. "OVER HERE!" The murkrow shouted. Sky came running to see what was so special about this leaf to see the murkrow holding....a completely ordinary leaf from a tree. There was nothing special or interesting about it at all.
"Why's that leaf so important to you?" Sky questioned. "Because it's mine." The murkrow replied. The eevee shrugged, happy enough having that ordeal over with. "Well, I'm glad you found it then. Have a nice day!" She said with a smile as she walked away, the murkrow waving a wing and turning to leave as well.
Finally, she could get back to her book in peace.
