Sonic & Shadow (Rezikun ONLY!! I mean it.)

Today had been relaxing for Sonic, despite the fact he had just destroyed a huge time swallowing monster that nearly killed him. He was so tired, that when they got back, he passed out asleep under a tree. So, long story short, he never legitimately celebrated his birthday. Oh, well. Not a problem. Sonic sighed, looking up at the sky. He hoped he could at least take a 3 day long break from villain catching to regain his strength. Honestly, could a guy get some rest around here? 'It seems almost like I'm fighting Egghead or some other villain every five minutes of the day...' The blue blur thought.

Shadow was standing alone on a hill as he looked out to the sky. He knew that the hedgehog Sonic was behind him at the time but he decided it wasn't important that sonic had managed to find the one spot Shadow had come. Why did he stay for his birthday again? Oh right Rouge had made him stay. Shadow shook his head and sighed why did he always listen to her.

His thought were cut short when something appeared in the sky. It was the same portal but different more chaotic as the same beast came out but different then before more feral. This was the true primal time eater. "Sonic" shadow shouted as he got in a fighting stance.

Sonic leapt up, hearing Shadow call his name. "Great, so I lie down for 2 seconds, and this appears again. How many times in a day am I supposed to fight?"He ran over near to where Shadow was and sighed angrily. "I thought this thing was dead!" The blue blur shook his head and got ready to go in for a homing attack, when it sucked both hedgehogs into a portal. 'Some day I'm having..' Sonic thought.

"Damn" shadow said as he held his ground this thing wasn't going to just destroy them it was going to erase them from time as he goes up he gets a idea as he builds up a cracking chaos energy in his hand and throws it. "Chaos spear" he yells as it impacts making a small wound on him but distracted him long enough as shadow pushed sonic into the portal leading to the timeless Zone before using his air skates to boost to there

After Sonic had gone through, he passed out. When he woke up, he groggily sat up and looked around. "What the.... not this again.." He groaned. This happened once before, so why did it have to happen again? Once was enough. Either the monster didn't care or it thought doing it more times was fun to watch. "Stupid time monster...." The blue blur muttered as he stood up. This time things were in color, but they were still frozen. 'Great... now how do we get out of here...?' He thought.

Shadow stands up his back slightly in pain as he had landed right on it. "Next time I see that thing I'll destroy it" he muttered to himself as he looked around the area. "This place?" He said as he heard the blue Faker. "So how did you get out of here last time?" He asks seeing as how they could do the same thing

"Well, last time we freed all our friends, restoring the place... but nobody else is here. So, I have no idea." Sonic told him. Which was true. How were they to get out when the places were only frozen, not corrupted? To add to that, no-one else had been with them, so they couldn't restore their friends. 'Great... just the sort of plan we need. A scattered one that doesn't work...' He thought. Maybe there was another way...? Sonic didn't know.

Shadow thinks for a moment before dashing over past all the lighted up places and then ended up at the edge of a place. "Faker you might want to come over here" he said as there were tons of places that were frozen in time each one places they had been or places that they hadn't been which seemed a bit strange. "Was this here last time" he asks as he crosses his arms.

Sonic ran over to where he was standing. "Not this particular zone, no. Why are these here?" He asked. Some of the zones or stages the blur saw were places they'd never been. Last time there had only been places from the past, like Little Planet... So why were all these new places here? "That's odd... last time there were only places from our past... some of these are new.." Was all Sonic said shortly after.

Shadow thought for a moment before thinking of a answer. "Last time the doctors had controlled the time eater so they could destroy the times they wanted. Somehow it must of survived and since it has nothing to control it." He then realized something "it must be destroying the entire timeline" he said strangely calmly. Lucky he had moved fast or else him and sonic would be dead

"Good point... wait a minute... all of these are familiar boss levels... not stages and zones that have robot or magma enemies in them.." Sonic said, glancing at the black hedgehog. "But what about these new zones?" He wondered. Most of these were major boss levels, so what was with the new ones? It was a strange thing to witness, considering he hadn't seen some of these. The blur looked at Shadow. "Have you seen some of these before.... like from one of your own games?" He asked.

Shadow nods recognizing a few of the levels especially the big meteor one he knew that as the black comet. "So not only are we facing levels, we are facing every enemy we have beaten out entire lives" he said as he then crosses his arms and closes his eye's. "If we don't the timeline will really be destroyed this time" he said as he waited for Faker

Sonic stayed silent for a minute. "Wow. Ok... we should start at the beginning then..." He ran over quickly to the first level. The blue blur sighed. Why bosses? Why not just regular levels like last time? That would've been more useful and wouldn't take a toll on his energy.. Well, that was how it went, and that was how they were going to do it. The blue hedgehog stepped forward onto a lit circle, seeing Shadow start to step on before Sonic appeared in the first boss level. 'Oh, so it's this one, is it? Ok, then... let's go.' He thought as he looked around, recognizing the place immediately.

"Ya" he told the blueblur as he matched his speed to the first area which had a.picture.of the doctor on it. "Well let's go" Shadow said as he already started to walk in as he was taken to a large field with the doctor sitting in his carrier with a giant ball. Seriously? "Chaos spear" Shadow said as he severed the chain which made the ball drop and the doctor look at shadow with a worried look. "Want to handle it Faker?" Shadow asked

Sonic nodded, glanced at Shadow, and ran at Eggman, spindashing the hovercraft. "Don't think you'll beat me this time, Egghead!" He smirked. "Don't call me Egghead! How many times do I have to tell you?! It's Eggman! Once Eggman, always Eggman!" The doctor yelled at the blue hedgehog. "Oh come on, you know I'll always call you that." Sonic teased. He ran at the hovercraft again and spindashed it a second time.
