» Personality: Lucius is a rather eccentric Pokémon. He thinks quite highly of himself and usually believes for himself to be infallible even. There are few things he will admit to not understanding, social norms and customs being the most prominent of them. Other Pokémon are often viewed as below him, as while they are messy and uncontrolled, he thinks of himself as the perfectly optimized organism. And thus he often feels attacked by other Pokémon rejecting his kind and generous offers to „optimize“ them, even though most of his methods would only require a tiny bit of surgery. But since this method of improving lifeforms doesn't seem to be accepted for some weird reason, he usually is found creating objects to further Pokémonity through non-surgical methods in his shop.
What he refuses to believe however is how he could possibly be wrong about anything. No matter how well a counterpoint one may present to his beliefs, the only thing it will accomplish is reducing Lucius' opinion of the other Pokémon.
In general his mind is a rather black-and-white one, not understanding how different answers could be equally correct. To him there is exactly one correct way. Everything else was wrong. One and Zero. You either do something completely or not at all. This also means that reaching a compromise with him may prove to be rather difficult.
It is important however to understand that he isn't doing this of ill will at all. He genuinely believes that what he is doing is best for the entire world.
» Likes:
-Inorganic Pokémon: An inorganic Pokémon himself, Lucius believes for those who lack a biology to be superior to those who have one as they don't have as many needs to be taken care of.
-Being right: Lucius places great importance on always being correct. And no matter how obvious it is that he actually is wrong, he will refuse to acknowledge his mistakes.
-Symmetry: Asymmetrical things simply look and feel wrong to him.
» Dislikes:
-Biological Pokémon and Biology in general: Lucius views organic organisms as needlessly messy and not constructed as well as they could be. And while he knows that they aren't at fault for the way they were born, they also seem to constantly refuse his offers to upgrade them.
-Imperfection: If something can be improved, but is not, then Lucius will most likely not understand the reasoning for this. To him better simply is better.
-Social customs, traditions and the like: In Lucius' opinion these things don't make sense. For example the phrase "Beautiful weather we are having." is pointless to him as both Pokémon can clearly see what the weather is like.
» History: Lucius was born into a small, rural village as the child of a Porygon 2 and a Ditto.
However he did not like it very much, seeing as the village wasn't very developed. Thus the Porygon decided to help his home village by putting an end to this, trying to find ways to improve everything he believed to be flawed and imperfect, ranging from the water supply to the road system. Due to the „That's how it's always been done“ attitude prominent in the village as well as Lucius' problematic attitude and an inability to understand why someone would prefer for the road not to go directly through their house these plans of his failed quickly and he was met with ridicule. Trying to help his fellow Pokémon another way, the Normal type then attempted to study the art of healing under the village's healer, a Chansey. This endeavour was short-lived as well, as the healer did not believe that Lucius should ever work in the field of healing, citing worries about him adding things the patient did not ask for such as metal implants for added defense.
Rejected again, the Porygon had to settle for his final idea of how to help other Pokémon. If they didn't want themselves optimized, then maybe he could at least try selling them things to make their lives easier. Since he had become infamous in his village already however, he couldn't get any customers. Thus Lucius found himself forced to move away to another town, eventually ending up in Grassveil Town. Maybe here the Pokémon would be more accepting of his genius.
