The way it all started.

Rouge was angry at his ex-companion. She had left him as he had slept, whats worse is she left him with no food, nor any Clue of how to get to anywhere remotely like his home. This wasn't the first time this had happened to him as he was taken out on an overnight hunting trip with some of his fellow tribe members. He woke up the next morning with a small note on his bone alerting him of his banishment. He felt more sad than angry then, but he was on the verge of fluent speaking. He was already starting to forget words with how angry he was. She didn't keep her promise, then again, how many dark types would? He was just a tool to them, no a tool to any Pokemon capable of manipulating him.

He shook his head, being angry and trying to justify revenge would be a bad idea, epically in his situation. With that he got up, grabbed his bone and started walking in search of food and another Pokemon who might get him out of this forest.

"D-d-ye l-l-ik-e s-sc-ca-a-arf, n-o-ot f-fo-re-ge-et c-co-ol-lo-r. a-ac-cce-ep-pt-ti-ible, n-n-a-am-e." Rouge like the name too, though others could mistake his name as being more like an outlaw, but he was fine with that. It's not like it mattered much right now. It was just him and Noel, he looked down at the pasty dye he made and took off his helmet, using his paw to spread the paste over the horns and top of the head of the skull. he flipped it over letting the solid paste fall of leaving only the stained skull left. the color matched very closely to Noel's scarf. He wouldn't forget the color of the scarf so long as he had his skull.

Noel looked at the scarf it was her mother's insignia but she wore it so she guessed it would be ok, she wondered if the Pokemon had memory troubles but decided that wasn't the case at the time, she watched him place the red dye waiting patiently as she looked at the ground, the ground might not look interesting to some but with aura sense it was fun, once Rouge was done Noel gave a nod and waved her arm "come on let's explore" she said as she walked slowly

Rouge stood up, placing his now stained skull on his head. His paws were stained, but that would come out quickly with some good washing, he could do that later. Grabbing his bone he rushed to catch up to Noel, making sure not to accidentally bump into her. As they moved Rouge used his bone to move the leaves of bushes, looking for anything he could. He peered into one bush in particular looking hard and stopped following Noel. He wasn't sure if what he found was good.

Noel walked along the path ahead, the grass was low for her so she didn't need to do much to get somewhere she would prefer jumping on the tree's but she never did that unless her allies could also, she makes her way over until she notices a Pokemon sitting in place, it a Slakoth watching them, a little creeper out Noel just shrugs and walks onward

Rouge on the otherhand noticed the box the slakoth had, the shape wasn't like anything he had seen before so he grabbed the box as the slakoth stared and smiled. The moment Rouge turned a rope trap sprung catching Rouge by the ankle.

"W-whao!" his head hit the ground several times, but he refused to let go of the box. As his vision went double from the bonking on the head the slakoth slowly crawled past him and away.

"H-he-l-lp..?" Rouge spoke the best he could, shaking his head to try to right his vision, his skull fell of and his the slakoth square in the head causing it to pass out.

Noel looked over and saw the two almost passed out Pokemon as she sighs and grabs a item from her bag, this was a reviver seed as she walks over and gives it to the cubone "take it it'll restore your energy" Noel says as she looks over to the box he had so desperately tried to steal from the feral Pokemon, Noel the looked at Rouge and sighed "was it worth it?" She asked the Cubone

"Y-ye-es." It was worth it to get this odd box. Rouge enjoyed the odd shape and tossed it over to one side so he could let himself down. He landed with a soft thud next to the Slakoth and picked up his skull. This adventure was already going better than it had with his friend. He picked up the Unusual box and carried it with him. It could make him either rich or it could be a waist of time, but either way, this box was the third most important thing he has.

"Ok then just checking" Noel said to him as she looks around the area, she had a few boxes like that one but had no idea what to do with them or where they were suppose to go, so with a short sigh she threw her harms behind her head and walked along the path, she went slowly so Rouge could catch up though, she still wondered about home but figured that could wait till she was alone.

Rouge followed behind not paying much attention to where he was going, looking over the box. He accidentally bumped into her as they walked.

"s-so-or-ry" he looked away blushing slightly at his clumsiness, he didn't understand why he had grown to be this way at this time, but he had to pay more attention to his surroundings. He sniffed the air, trying to draw in any scents of danger around them, He smelled nothing. he smiled for a moment until he realized that he couldn't even smell his companion's scent. He couldn't smell anything at all, this was not a good thing.

Noel felt the Cubone bump into her but didn't pay much attention to that. She sensed something around here, her eyes turn into a blue with a faint hue of red around them as she looked around the area, she got something almost instantly with her sense as she ducked slightly lower then normal "Rouge stay low Pokemon ahead" Noel said to the Cubone wanting to surprise the feral Pokemon

Rouge crouched down, staying lower than noel. It didn't matter what Noel sense, he'd be ready. He looked over to Noel nodding that he was ready, and awaited the signal to go. He would prove he wasn't as useless as he had seemed. He thought back to his trial, he had been the only one in his group, his group of 30 cuebones, to get hurt. He was a failure then, but he would not fail now. He was ready to become as strong as his group mates would be now. This was a matter of pride and of breaking free from the past.

Noel just looked over at the three Pokemon in front of them, there was two over near a bush and one investigating a small rock over at the corner far away from the others, Noel turns to look at Rouge "ok I'll get the two over there take care of the one isolated from the rest" Noel says calmly as she slowly moves over, then bursts out of the bushes at a high speed jumping up and hitting the flying Pokemon with a sky uppercut which sent to flying away, she had enough time to turn around and use a face Palm on the other Pokemon which sent it into a tree

Rouge jumped aswell, his bone club hitting it's mark hard. The Slakoth's face was burred under the ground by the force of the blow. He felt sorry for the partially burred Pokemon and pulled it out tossing it into some bushes near by so it could leave. He looked to Noel for any signs of what to do next before checking his bone for any scraps of fur of blood that could give off a scent giving them away. He found a small bit of fur, but nothing more and sat down to clear the fur off.

Noel looked around and was surprised that all the Pokemon were beaten, she looks over to rouge, she gives a small nod as a all clear sign and walks over. She took note of him checking the bone he had, she thought about a move she could learn but then stopped thinking about it.

She looks up at the sky and sighs she then looks at a few item's on the ground, she walks over and looks at them. A stone with a leaf and a scarf. "Which one do you want?" She asks him ok with either

"C-c-ar-re n-no-ot." He continued to clean his bone, not worrying about any items as he had his box. He would figure out the mystery of the box and when he did, he would share it with anyone who also wondered about it. Other than his obsession with the box, he was happy to have finally done something right. He glanced up just as he was finishing the cleaning process, wondering what Noel was thinking, but not daring to ask.
