| "Ok, I was banking on at least Revira joining in, shouldn've known. welp. Let's run!" sorren said to chie.
He abruptly stopped attacking and started running breakneck into the treeline, falling back to ned. He would only have a few seconds, but Sorren needed to give Ned a choice.
"OK, We are going to run, want to come? I'll protect you until we loose them. Don't want to leave you on your own, unless things have changed drastically since our last conversation. AH!" Sorren ducked a string shot and started tussling with a Wurmple.
Playing hero was hard. | |

| Suddenly the Fire type turned around, running away. What had happened? Had his conscience finally caught up to him and had he realized the error of his ways? Hopefully he did. Then maybe he would no longer accidentally hurt the innocent with his reckless behaviour. But now that the weight of his guilt was pushing down on him, he would probably be in need of emotional support. And the Omanyte would be there for him! While certainly not as quick as the Fighting type, the Water type crawled after the Combusken, hoping to be able to console her friend after his realisation. Of course those who hurt others would have to be punished, but then again one would always have to help those looking for atonement redeem themselves.
What was happening now? All of a sudden everyone else seemed to be fleeing for whatever reason, which would leave the Bug type alone in this swarm of feral Pokémon. Certainly not the best of situations to be in to phrase it politely. Luckily the Fighting type was offering him some sort of protection. And while the Ground type would much rather not end up being dragged with yet another group of Pokémon, even less with a Fire type, there wasn't much of a choice he had in the matter. Silently sighing to himself the Bug type begrudgingly skittered after the other Pokémon.
Chie had no idea why Sorren suddenly had begun to retreat this hastily as to her it seemed like they had been winning quite clearly. However Sorren was the leader for a reason and most likely had much better knowledge of tactics and a better understanding of the situation, so Chie saw no reason to question his judgement. However there still was the question of what they were going to do next. Hopefully they wouldn't run into more feral Pokémon while fleeing. What had caused for all those feral Pokémon to meet in this place in the first place? A coincidence seemed to be unlikely. Were they all after those items they had found? Hopefully not, because that would mean it would be rather difficult to get away from them again.

| Sorren ran for a bit, making sure that the group was behind him, knowing his ways around the logic defying nature of doungeons he was eventually able to lose the feral pokemon. Once he thought they were in the clear he sat down behind a cluster of trees.
"Ok we need to coordinate" Sorren said to the group, catching his breath. "Revira I want to hear what you think of the situation, and what you hope to accomplish here, Ned I want you to do the same after Rivera. also introductions! Chie This is ned and Revira, Revira Is an explorer and I have no clue what Ned does he just talked with me once when I was in a bad way. alright now that we are all caught up on that let's get down to business."
Sorren was kinda miffed because of how Ned and Revira acted back at the horde, He could understand ned not wanting to fight, after all Sorren knew how he felt. Revira, however he had no clue why she wouldn't help. Her eccentricities knew no limits. He just hoped that he could get them both sorted out so they could continue treasure hunting.

| This was surprising. Why was Sorren asking for her take on the situation now? Wasn't it obvious what was going on? In any case it would be impolite not to reply, so the fossil Pokémon began to speak: "I'm just here because this place has trees looking completely different from normal ones. Because of that I believe that maybe something important that might help destroy the corruption could be hidden here. Or the trees are just sick, in which case I am here to do something about that. I am still conducting research on that matter. As for what happened a few moments prior - there were many Pokémon and then you suddenly attacked them, so I told you to stop. Then you ran away, so I followed you to make you feel better. You may have done something bad, but it's not the end of the world."
Ned was the next Pokémon to speak. And so the small Bug began to talk: "I'm just here because I hoped for no other Pokémon to be around here so I could remain undisturbed until I would manage to evolve. As one can easily see this plan seems to have been unsuccessful. Then as I tried to leave this place, I ran into this group of Pokémon, including you all. I saw you doing battle, but believed that I would just get into the way and not be of any use. Thus I avoided joining in. When you ran, that left a group of angry Pokémon and me in one place, forcing me to flee with you."
Chie was surprised and a bit overwhelmed. Sorren definitely knew a lot of Pokémon, more than she would ever have believed to learn the names of even. The Nincada's story did make sense, especially considering that the smaller Bug types weren't exactly known to be powerful fighters. With his wish to be left alone the Duskull could relate quite well. She was already beginning to like this Ned Pokémon. Revira however she couldn't comprehend at all. She seemed to know what she was talking about, but the problem was something else. Chie didn't. Whatever she was rambling about probably was of great importance, but the Ghost type didn't understand it. However she had had a point about the horde of Pokémon they had encountered. There had been no verification taking place about whether those actually were hostile Pokémon. A scary thought in hindsight.

| "I know when we parted I had decided to ask before attacking revira, But I've grown a lot since then. There are certain mannerisms that Ferrals display, I could safely assume that they were going to attack us. Also the the trees, Chie you've probobly read a book on the subject, you explain it to her." Sorren said, turning his attention to ned. "As for you this place is dangerous. It's a new dungeon and hasn't exactly been explored much. If you want We can escort you out, can't exactly leave you hanging."
Sorren Couldn't believe Revira's train of thought. He had to think outside the box with her for sure. Hopefully he could work this out and maybe get her help. Though it does make sense for her to think of this as corruption, especially given the fact that it wasn't Autumn and she had probably never seen this before. Sorren had just chocked up the eternal Autumn to Mystery dungeon shenanigans.
As for ned, Sorren could see how the mistake could be made, there was a lovely walkway here, so you might not think it a dungeon. He was kinda miffed that he had to deal with Ned, but no one said being a good guy was easy.

| "But maybe the Pokémon here are different and just act like what you believe to be feral out of coincidence! And your judgement could simply be wrong!", the Omanyte retorted. Just how could the Combusken be so dangerously confident? This went completely against the scientific method! Always doubt yourself and never be sure! How could such an important cornerstone of society be ignored as easily as this? It was frightening to think about how many innocent Pokémon could and have been hurt and traumatized by such reckless behaviour.
Ned sighed. Thanks for the offer. A huge group like this may pose a massive target for all kinds of enemies, but I fear I have no other choice here." Indeed not following the group could have rather bad consequences, especially considering that they had just fled from a rather large group of Pokémon, that would, were they to discover him, probably overwhelm him immediately. And even if they would not be able to find him, there certainly were other Pokémon in the area as well, and while the Omanyte might have differing theories, they most definitely were out to get him. He really didn't have many choices, did he?
"Uh, yes, I have, but I'm not sure whether me explaining it will be of any use. Well, I can try I guess." And so the Duskull went on to explain about Chromoplasts, arboreal aging processes, the nutrient cycle in dependence on the seasons and a whole lot of other topics that were related to what the group was seeing just now. Revira meanwhile just stood around, looking both interested and confused. She did quite certainly want to know what was happening here, but these processes were so completely alien to the Rock type, that she couldn't help but interpret these things as further symptons of the corruption, that had obviously befallen the place.

| "I don't want to take chances, especialy in this kind of dungeon, however if you were to come along I could make an exception. Autumn shouldn't last an eternity you're right there, but it is a mystery dungeon. If you want to tag along I'll stop attacking first, safety in numbers and all that." Sorren told Revira "Alright ned, You just stay close and don't hide behind anything, I want to keep you in sight if we get into a scrap. I promise you won't get hurt so long as I'm here."
Sorren was happy that things were starting to move. he could understand Revira and hoped she would agree to his terms, and protecting ned was a bit of a pain but it would be worth it. maybe he would even evolve like he hoped, then he would be a huge help.

| "It would be better if you'd just don't attack first at all...", the Omanyte muttered, disappointed that the Combusken had obviously still not seen her point. However she had to admit that him not attacking first for the wrong reasons would be better than him attacking first for no reason at all. And since she didn't know which direction to continue traveling in, there was no reason for her not to follow him around for a while. Maybe then the Fire type could finally see that it was completely possible to navigate one of these autumn thingies without having to fight.
Now this was just getting better and better. How was he supposed to remain relatively safe if he wasn't even allowed to go and hide? This would end up terribly - this the Nincada was more sure of than ever before. The Bug type had come to notice that whenever someone had promised for him not to get hurt, he would inevitably wind up getting hurt shortly thereafter. But there was no use in complaining about things one couldn't change. And thus begrudgingly the Nincada wandered along.
This wasn't going to end well. All these Pokémon seemed to hold so widely different ideals and belief systems, that Chie found herserlf doubting how they would ever get along. It certainly wouldn't be easy. Then again any adventuring party seemed to be made up out of a bunch of complete misfits who would eventually bond to become an unstoppable team. Maybe it would be like this in this situation as well? Hopefully so, because otherwise there were lots of arguments to be expected.
