| First topic message reminder :- Link to mission:
(Energy - 11) The Black Spear mountains looked menacing as expected. The cloud cover was thicker than usual, showing signs of a possible storm to come. That certainly didn't help with the overall menacing image portrayed. Who would ever want to venture to this place? Sova, having had a bad experience in this area in the past, didn't fancy coming back. But if he stayed away, that would make him a coward. That was something he just couldn't handle being. Besides, he had a mission to do and he wouldn't have to go all the way to Black Mist Mountain. And there was a torchick with him, since it was an escort mission, so it wasn't really lonely. Though he was pretty sure the torchick wouldn't be a very capable fighter. At least the mission seemed easy. Find Staraptor and get her to stay and chat.

| Sova looked over to the....very one-sided conversation happening between the bird and the chick, then looked back to William with a nervous expression. "Ah....hah....I'm not gonna try getting in that, I feel like it'd be hard to get out of that conversation after getting into it. Besides, my mission's done and I'm more interested in talking to you...." He couldn't decide whether to end his sentence with a glare or a head tilt. On one hand, he was still mad at William for stalking him and delaying the progress of his mission, but on the other, he was curious how he got the Staraptor to stop flying away with just words. She never even stayed long enough to LET the eevee talk, after all.
In the end, he decided a head tilt would do best, showing his confusion. "So how'd you do it?"

| "A wise choice.", William responded, half to the Eevee, half to himself. "Well, I simply asked her why she didn't want to talk. Asking someone can help clear up a lot of misunderstandings you know? And I offered to try and convince you to stop chasing her, should I not be able to sufficiently reason for her to follow the request of meeting with you." William wondered how the Eevee would react to getting to know that this all had been so easy. And would he be offended at the Gengar having offered to keep them away from the Staraptor, should the negotiations end up on a negative note? In any case - this mission had been completed. Maybe William would eventually return to this place and see what happened with the Flying type. Maybe this event could change her mind about things a bit. | |

| Sova gave William a glare. "And what if she didn't agree? You'd keep me away and make me fail a mission, after stopping me from completing it peacefully in the first place?" He questioned the gengar. Sure, perhaps William had just told a lie to the staraptor to make her feel more at ease talking to him, but that didn't seem like him. He probably would have kept the eevee away more than willingly.
Though what the ghost did worked. Did Sova really have any reason to be mad? The mission was done, after all. William fixed what he broke. But he could have broke it even worse if his diplomacy had failed. How was the eevee supposed to feel about this? Perhaps the gengar's answer would help him decide.

| "Peacefully? I hope you don't really consider what you mean a peaceful option. And yes - I would have. If she wouldn't have agreed to this, then what you two were doing could very well count as stalking. And that is a crime in case you didn't know." Now another problem was beginning to brew. What if the Staraptor came to hear of what the Eevee was saying? She would most surely not be happy about hearing things like these. And that in turn might very well lead to her simply leaving again. Hopefully the Eevee would see his point. After all he was successful without having to resort to such underhanded tactics as the one the Eevee had been suggesting. | |

| Sova shrugged. "Well, getting her to come "rescue" me seemed pretty peaceful in that it wasn't forceful and the only one harmed was my self. But if it came to it, I would go against you AND the law to complete a mission. And I'd win." He said with a smirk, half-joking. The gengar probably would have been able to stop him, and quite easily, but that wouldn't have stopped him from at least trying. Wow, he really sounded like a stalker. Good thing the staraptor couldn't hear him over the constantly speaking torchick. - Lord E V carried out 1 launched of one Mission Dice :

| "You are aware that to rescue you she would have had to join the battle? And then I ask you - which part of joining a battle is not dangerous? If you truly fail to see the danger here, then you really are even denser than I believed." Hopefully the Eevee wasn't serious about what he was saying. Even though William should be able to stop him more than easily enough, he would hate to have to act against a former friend simply because this friend got so absorbed in a mission that he forgot to adhere to the law as well. "Unless you wish to have the entirety of the Grassveil Explorer Guild against you, I heavily suggest for you to refrain from breaking the law. Especially since I doubt that completing a mission by breaking the law would be accepted." | |

| "I doubt a seasoned rescue team member with a huge type advantage would have any trouble in a fight with an idiot. It'd only be dangerous for the primape." Sova said. He had no doubts a staraptor could handle a primape, especially one so reckless "And maybe I DO want everyone against me. It's a challenge after all. But I'll leave that to your imagination." He said almost too calmly. If William was going to constantly be a mood killer to him, he was going to find SOME way to have fun with it. | |

| "Very well, we have wrongly crying for help, deliberately leading a rescue team member into a dangerous situation, stalking, threats of illegal acts and a variety of other offenses. Would you like for me to bring you to the police now?" Sova may have been believing for all of this to be one huge joke, but it definitely wasn't. In fact there were several criminal acts the Eevee had committed already and William didn't have much doubt that he could easily get the Normal type convicted for them if he wanted to. And with Sova's inflated ego it really wasn't sure whether he actually wanted to take on the entire guild. So maybe it was the better choice to stop him now before he would get himself seriously hurt. | |

| Sova grinned at the gengar. "Do it. I'm sure I'd be branded a criminal and jailed. If I escaped, I'd be an outlaw. So, if you think I'm capable of being a criminal, do it and ruin my life." He spoke bluntly yet calmly, clearly agitated but still staying calm. He was curious what the gengar would have to say. Of course, if William really did plan to report him, he'd admit to it being a joke, but it'd likely put a huge dent in their relationship if not a break. And maybe the ghost would do it anyways, to "teach him a lesson". After all, if he really believed the eevee to be capable of such things, why would a few words change that belief? | |

| "I will do it if you keep acting like this. That is not a joke. So please be more mindful from now on." It was sad to see the Eevee acting like this. This was what happened when one was unable to hold their own ego under control. The Ghost type was hoping for Sova to finally stop with this, as if it did keep up then it would be his duty to indeed report the Eevee to the authorities. And their relationship was strained enough as it was already. Just why was this Eevee unable to take anything seriously? William would have hoped for at least the law to be important enough to be valued by the Normal type. At least the Staraptor didn't seem to be listening. This conversation would have gotten even worse would she have done so. | |

| Sova shrugged. "My current mindset got me this far, I'll trust it to get me farther. If you want to turn me into an outlaw, be my guest. But it'll be your fault. BUT if you lay back a bit, we can be friends and get along. I'll never taunt you and you'll never annoy me. Wouldn't that be so much better?" He questioned the gengar, still keeping his calm tone. He may have had an opportunity to get William to get along with him. Why wouldn't he take it? But if the Staraptor decided to listen in on them, it would certainly end badly. | |

| "What will be my fault?", the Gengar asked. "That you were too stupid to see how you are ruining yourself with your actions? And why would I want to be friends with someone who willingly breaks laws? It definitely wouldn't be better. What would be better would be for you to get a hold of yourself and finally listen to reason." Why had the Eevee suddenly had this change of mind? What made him turn to this horrible behaviour? If this were to keep up then sadly but certainly there was no way for them to remain friends. The Poison type found himself beginning to hope for the Flying type to start listening and for her to beat some sense into the Eevee. | |

| Sova shook his head. "You think I'm capable of being a criminal. You haven't trusted me to be able to do anything on my own since we met, so what makes you so sure I could be an outlaw?" He paused for a moment, hesitating at what he planned to say next. Something he might not be able to take back.
"Know the funny thing? You're just like those who used to attack you. You think you're a hero, stopping an outlaw. But you're just trying to force me into the way of thinking that YOU think is right." He stopped for a moment, considering what he'd just done. What had he just said? That was way too far. "S-sorry, that was too much...."

| William's expression darkened significantly. "It is not the training that makes an outlaw. It is the intent. Whether you would be a successful outlaw or not does not matter. What matters is that you would be an outlaw, which is what I have been trying to save you from." A hint of bitterness swinging in his voice, the Ghost type continued: "And now for the record. I am not like these Pokémon. I have not attacked you, and more importantly - I have actual evidence that it was your intent to perform illegal acts. What happened to me was baseless suspicion. You meanwhile explicitely stated that you would go against the law to complete a mission. I do think that is plenty of base for suspicions." Now the Eevee had gone too far. Was the Normal type even worthy of being saved from a life of crime? William wasn't so certain anymore... | |

| Sova nodded. "That's true, I DID state it. Though even if it wasn't a joke, it'd be my word against yours. That's not proof, that's just a boring waste of time neither of us want to partake in." He was disappointed that William thought he had the potential mindset of a criminal, and that showed in his disappointed tone.
"Buuut since you're so suspicious of me, let me remind you of something....We had a talk once about doing good, and I said I would. I joke about things constantly, but I'm not a liar." Since the gengar was so insistent on being suspicious and distrusting of him, there didn't seem to be any choice left but to actually defend himself. He still wished he could have gotten William to simply change his own mind.
