| First topic message reminder :- Too Expensive for Me! – Mission Info:
I was going to make Pecha Berry Muffins but the store was trying to sell them for a high price because they were running low. I'd be willing to pay you for 3 of them!
» Client: Ponyta » Objective: Find 3 Pecha Berries » Place: Pecha Forest » Restrictions: None » Difficulty: F » Reward: 150 Poke » Exploration Points: 10
Pecha Forest, as usual, was peaceful. Quiet, with just the slight breeze occasionally catching the leaves and caused them to rustle, the strong branches of the trees bending gently and going with the flow instead of fighting it. The sun had reached its peak hours ago and was starting to set, but true sunset was still quite the way away, so there was plenty of sunlight to go around. Indeed, the day was a warm and pleasant one and the forest was bright, the large holes in the canopy letting in plenty of light to keep the grassy ground bathing in the sun. Golden splotches dotted the ground and the only really shadowy spots could be found right under the largest trees – but even those shadows couldn't be considered exactly dark! Varda had decided to take a mission. Well, he didn't have that on mind when he had first woken up that day, but it just ended happening. As he lived in the Guild, he often ended up being in the right place at the right time – or perhaps the wrong place at the wrong time, depending who answers – and this time it was no different. He had managed to meet one of the clients hurriedly looking someone to take their job – and how could have he refused, meeting the pony with a firey mane and large eyes? It was urgent, the client had said. It was something that was supposed to get done the very same day but was now forced to being pushed to another day due to a missing key ingredient. Muffins with Pecha berries. That was what the client had wanted to do, but the berries she lacked. And the Swablu was going to go get them! While he had picked some berries for himself before and could have give them to the client right away, he found himself hesitating when offering that solution. Maybe they had to be fresh? Just picked fresh? Pecha Forest was so close anyways and, well, honestly sometimes it was quite hard to find those Pecha berries despite the forest being named after them, but he could try. If it didn't work out, then maybe he could give the client those berries he had picked earlier. But this was definitely worth the try so his client could get the best berries he could find, freshly picked, juicy and sweet! The blue bird Pokémon stayed close to the path that led to Grassveil Town so he wouldn't get lost, his bag wrapped around his belly. He was being quite cautious as he had many times noticed how aggressive Pokémon would hide in the bushes, not getting too close to them and lifting the branches aside with his cottony wings very gently to take a look inside. This far, he hadn't found any Pecha berries, but he was hopeful. He had just started, after all. Current Energy: 15 (20 -5 from entering)

| Varda cooed quietly, a bit worried. This large Pokémon hadn't seen Trace around... And the bird couldn't help but wonder how far he had been thrown! The Electrike had been right next to him then and he was sure that the Pokémon would have started following him so they could reunite, but it seemed like they had to be very far apart still. Then again, Trace's green fur would easily blend in the forest considering how much green there was in the shape of bushes and grass, so maybe that was the reason why this bug-like Pokémon hadn't seen him yet.
"Hm?" The Swablu was snapped out of his thoughts as the stranger asked him a question about the Pokémon he was searching for, wondering if Trace was his teammate. The bird just shook his head with a lighthearted, chirpy giggle. "Oh, noo. We're not in the same team, we just ran into each other," Almost literally, though Varda left that part of the story out, "I am on a mission though, and he wanted to help me... But we got separated," he cooed, the feathers on top of his head drooping down as he sighed. But that didn't last for long as he looked up, smiling as he was back to his usual cheerful self. "Oh, my name is Varda! It's nice to meet you."

| Zorre nodded in understanding, frowning at the strange flip-flop of emotions the swablu seemed to be going through. How could one flip from being sad to happy like that in an instant? Zorre shook himself as he realized that the swablu had introduced himself -Varda? He'd never heard of a name like that, but then, he'd never heard of someone else named Zorre, either.
"Zorre, am I," he said to Varda, nodding pleasantly. "Want if you, help can I mission with," he offered casually. He didn't have anything better to do, after all, and since he was here in the forest, he might as well help out.

| "Hello, Zorre!" Varda chirped happily as he flapped his wings in his excitement, clearly enjoying meeting new, friendly Pokémon. But it all stopped as this newly introduced Zorre even offered to help him with the mission now that his other partner had disappeared. The little bird's eyes grew large as they seemed to sparkle, a smile that had disappeared for a moment coming back twice as big. He was just so amazed at the kindness this Pokémon was offering!
"You'd really do that?" He asked in awe, his large, beady eyes looking up at the tall bug-like Pokémon, "I needed to get some Pecha berries for a client. Three, to be exact, and I just found one," the Swablu explained, just in case Zorre didn't want to do this kind of a mission. After all, he had offered before he even knew what the bird was doing. It was only polite to at least tell the other one what to expect before he accepted the help!
"...I guess I have to be quick about it, too. I don't want to make the client wait for too long – but I think I should be looking for Trace, too," Varda cooed as he tried to figure out what to do. On one hand, the Electrike seemed like he probably was in no trouble, but he didn't just want to abandon him in the forest, either! But he just didn't have enough time to make sure he would find Trace unless they would run into him soon! "Oh, you weren't busy with something else, right?"

| Zorre smiled gently at the excitable little pokemon. "Not busy, was I. To do, nothing me for." he said nonchalantly. "Berries of Pecha? Easy here find. Forest Pecha, all after." he said, commenting on the ease of the mission. He looked around at the calm forest around them. Pecha Forest wasn't foreboding or menacing, unlike Shadowhue Forest. Even the name Pecha Forest made Zorre feel relaxed. He meandered over to one of the trees and looked up at the branches, hoping to spot a pecha berry hiding behind one of its many leaves. | |

| Varda nodded, happy and satisfied that he wasn't getting in the way of this other Pokémon somehow! At least Zorre claimed that he wasn't busy or doing anything – and why would the little bird have a reason to doubt a complete stranger? It seemed like they both agreed to the idea, so they had no reason to waste any time! The Swablu already started to waddle forward slowly, waiting for his new partner to follow him before he started to search for the berries – and Trace. "I think it's pretty weird," the bird Pokémon chirped as Zorre commented how finding Pecha berries should be easy to find, they were in a place called the Pecha Forest, after all, "Despite the name, sometimes it feels like it's really hard to find Pecha berries here! Or maybe I just don't look in the right places," Varda continued, telling the other Pokémon about his experiences. Many times he had hoped to find berries, many times... He had find something that wasn't a berry. More furry. With sharp teeth and claws. "Did you come here for a walk?"((If it's fine with you, I suggest we do the same thing here as I did to TraceNoil if we find any Pecha berries with normal rolls: let's wait until the last page and find tons of berries, including the third Pecha berry I rolled on the mission dice on the first page and all the ones we rolled normally, yeah? So that we don't have a reason to leave the forest too early, heh.)) - Bird carried out 3 launched of one Pecha Forest :

| Zorre nodded in response to Varda's words, letting the smaller pokemon chatter away about his explorations. Zorre wasn't much of a talker at all, content to let others do the talking. It wasn't as if he had anything interesting to say, after all. He heard Varda ask if he had been going for a walk, and nodded absently, still looking around for any traces of pecha berries.
He noticed a phantump flying at him, eyes glowing red. He sidestepped the attack and slashed at the ghostly plant pokemon with his scythes ferociously, sending it flying backwards into a bush. It didn't seem deterred though, for it just flew up again and launched itself at him, hissing angrily.

| Varda didn't seem to be bothered by the other Pokémon's quietness at all, happily talking on his own and asking what little questions popped in his mind. It was still quite clear that he wasn't just talking to air, as Zorre was listening – or at least nodding, which was a clear sign of listening in the bird's eyes. His new partner apparently was on a walk indeed and the Swablu could understand that. It was a rather nice day even though it was starting to end, and the forest did seem rather peaceful...
The bird hadn't paid as much attention to their surroundings as Zorre, who seemed to be on lookout duty and taking the mission rather seriously. Growing a bit more serious, Varda continued to waddle along, keeping his eyes on the ground. Something pink managed to catch his eye, causing him to jump over to a leafy bush, hoping that it was a Pecha berry... But no. It wasn't. It was something edible however, a Gummi with a vibrant shade of pink. And it wasn't alone, as now that he looked closer, he could see a green one next to it, too! Happily, the Swablu picked the candy off the ground and put them in his bag.
Just as he turned around, a strange feral Pokémon had attacked his large partner! Varda had never seen such a strange, floating stump in the forest, letting out a little coo in surprise. He already had thought that he had learned all the secrets of Pecha Forest already, but it just managed to surprise him! Luckily Zorre dodged the feral one's attack easily and even slashed at it with his vicious scythe-like hands. But it wasn't even and the ghostly stump returned, rushing at its attacker.
The Swablu had quickly made his way over, however, having spread his wings and risen into the air to fly closer as fast as he could. He let out a shrill shriek at the feral Pokémon that seemed to be so obsessed with his bug friend, having completely missed the bird. It worked to Varda's advantage however, as his sudden appearance and cry had caused the flying stump to be surprised, flinching for a moment as it looked at the little cottony bird.

| Zorre glanced at Varda in thanks as he distracted the ghostly plant pokemon. He shot forward quickly, striking the pokemon with his scythes again in its distraction. The phantump went flying backwards again, a huge crack down the side of its tree stump. It wailed in distress, glaring at Zorre. Zorre merely bared his teeth at the pokemon, and the phantump whimpered, backing away from the huge black bug, and then fled into the bushes. Zorre huffed in satisfaction, and turned towards Varda, not saying anything; letting his actions speak for themselves. He glanced around, wondering if the phantump had been protecting any items -such as some certain pecha berries that they were in the forest looking for. - Silver carried out 5 launched of one Pecha Forest :

| Varda took a step back just in case when Zorre prepared to attack the distracted feral Pokémon, lunging forward with such swift movements that that the bird could even barely see it happening. All it took was one good hit from the bug Pokémon's scythe-like arms to send the ghostly stump flying through the air again, its wooden side cracking from the impact. But it seemed like the feral Pokémon wasn't finished! After its cry, it glared back at the Pokémon it had been targeting during the entire encounter. Zorre just showed it his teeth and the Swablu assisted him in the intimidation attempt, ruffling his feathers and turning into a giant ball of fluff... Which most likely did nothing, but finally the flying stump backed off with a pitiful whimper.
"Are you alright, Zorre? You didn't get hurt, right...?" The bird asked after a moment of silence, letting his feathers to rest as he took on his normal, less fluffy form. His little beady eyes looked at the large Pokémon that had joined him, checking him for any wounds or bruises that might have appeared after the battle. "I wonder why it started attacking you," Varda cooed as he pondered, a bit perplexed by everything. While the feral Pokémon often did just randomly attack, it seemed like the stump was only going after Zorre! Perhaps it just hadn't noticed the Swablu and that was the reason, but the Pokémon was taken out too quickly for them to test it.
Suddenly, Varda seemed to perk up as he noticed something in a nearby bush. Two round shapes of a familiar pink color, lying on the ground... It had to be more candy, right? "Oh, oh, look. This place has so many Gummis," the blue bird chirped happily as he waddled over to the bush and the Gummis it tried to hide, not fooled by it. As he bent over to grab one of the pink Gummis with his beak however, he quickly realized that they were bigger and heavier than the Gummis he had picked up earlier – and much heavier, too! It wasn't until strange, squishy vines started to crawl over his body when he realized they weren't candy at all... It was a Pokémon! The Swablu tried to get away quickly, though soon he found his wing wrapped tightly by the Tangela's tendrils, unable to move as he let out a little tweet.

| Zorre looked over as Varda spoke of finding more gummis, only for his eyes to widen as he saw Varda trying to pick up a Tangela's tentacle! He raced to Varda's side as the Tangela gripped the swablu with the rest of its tentacles. Zorre hissed menacingly, slicing at the tangela with his scythes, making sure to aim away from Varda to avoid cutting his companion.
Then he felt something attack him from behind. Zorre spun around to a Ledyba attacking his face. He hissed at the other bug pokemon, and it flew at his face. Surprised, Zorre fell backwards, falling on the tangela and Varda, becoming entangled in the tentacles, and feeling Varda's fluffy wings resting on his face. He squeaked in an undistinguished way, wriggling, trying to get out of the tentacles, but failing miserably.

| Varda wriggled as the vines constricted his movements, trying to come up with some kind of a plan to escape. He didn't think he could win the Tangela by trying to pull his wing away, being no match for the great strength the feral Pokémon had in its tentacles... But it was Zorre who finally freed the bird, slicing at the mass of sapient vines with a hiss. The Tangela seemed a bit surprised, its grip loosening and even a few of the tentacles keeping the Swablu still getting cut off by the sharp scythes Zorre possessed. Now free, Varda didn't waste any time trying to get closer from the feral Pokémon that had attacked him.
He didn't get far. Another Pokémon seemed to have joined their fight, attacking Zorre and surprising him in turn. The tall – and heavy – bug fell down on his back, unfortunately straight on the Swablu and the Tangela. It all happened so fast that the blue bird didn't even have time to register what was happening, finding himself squished against the ground. He did his best to wiggle free, but even though the feral plant Pokémon had been squished by Zorre's weight as well, it didn't stop it from trying to do something about it. Soon the tentacles that had targeted the bird earlier were crawling all over his larger partner, constricting the movements of even such a large and powerful Pokémon. The Tangela truly was a mighty force!
With a plop, Varda managed to free himself at least. He could actually see the other Pokémon that had attacked Zorre, a bug of some type that didn't look all too menacing... But considering that it had managed to knock his partner down, he shouldn't underestimate it. A quick glance towards Zorre was enough to tell the bird that he was in danger, confused and uncertain as to what he should do, not having anyone giving him instructions. So he did what he always did when he felt like he was lost.
The Swablu started to sing. The melody was a beautiful if a bit somber one, slow and relaxed. It was an odd reaction in such a dangerous situation indeed, even causing the feral Pokémon to stop for a moment as they turned their attention to the little singing bird. And when it came to the Tangela, it seemed to be working. Soon it seemed to be getting very drowsy, unable to keep its eyes open as the vines wrapped around Zorre started to become loose.

| Zorre didn't know when Varda had managed to get out from beneath him and the Tangela, but somehow he had, as suddenly he was singing a soft melody. Zorre gave him a quizzical look, never having encountered a pokemon who would SING in the midst of battle. But his confusion didn't last for long, as the melody washed over him, lulling him into the dark depths of unconsciousness. His last thoughts before he fell asleep were filled with admiration and a touch of fear of the little bird, for who would ever expect to fall asleep in the middle of battle? | |

| Varda finished his song, opening his eyes he had closed for a moment to see the results. The Tangela was asleep under the bug, snoring peacefully as its long, vine-like tendrils were just lying on the ground limply. Zorre was free from the feral Pokémon's grip! ...Except that it seemed like the song had managed to have an effect his partner as well, causing the large bug Pokémon to fall asleep as well! That wasn't a part of the Swablu's plan – if he even had one in the first place – which caused him to grow quite puzzled and uncertain what to do next. It wasn't good. Zorre seemed to be the stronger of the two and a buzzing sound coming from the side wasn't a good sign, either...
The other bug Pokémon that had joined the fight and attacked Zorre was awake. It had looked quite confused during the song, luckily not attacking while it was happening... But it didn't look pleased after the performance, rushing at Varda. The two Pokémon collided when the bird didn't have enough time to react – and for such a small bug, it certainly had a lot of power behind it! The Swablu's claws dug into the ground, but he was still pushed back, leaving behind deep marks on the soft soil. Quickly, the bird pecked the bug to cause it to back off, rushing at sleeping Zorre's side when he had the chance.
Softly, he nudged the larger bug with his cottony wings, trying to wake his partner up. He even poked Zorre's face, hoping that it was enough. His own face felt a bit sore for taking the bug head on – literally – but the bird Pokémon had no time to worry about it now! "Hello? Are you awake? Please wake up..."

| Zorre snuffled in his sleep, attempting to push away the force that was shaking him. He was having such a good dream! He didn't want to wake up right now, thank you very much. But whoever was shaking him wouldn't stop. "Hello? Are you awake? Please wake up..." A voice said to him through his sleep-fogged mind. He groaned and rolled over, trapping whoever had been trying to wake him underneath his heavy exoskeleton, and began to snore, once again lost to sleep. | |

| Varda kept trying to shake Zorre awake, glancing towards the feral bug Pokémon he had attacked before. The flying ladybug was a bit stunned after his peck, but it had soon straightened itself and was seemed to be back in action, glaring at the bird angrily as it prepared for another attack. The Swablu kept trying, but instead of managing to wake up his partner... Zorre rolled over, still sleeping. Right on top of the small bird, squishing his soft and plump body between the ground and the bug. As he had found out previously, the Pokémon was very heavy! The Swablu let out a quiet squeak.
The bird Pokémon squirmed and wiggled under Zorre's body, poking his beak out so he could actually breathe, filling his lungs with oxygen. He was having a hard time moving, the bug-like Pokémon was keeping his wings pinned so well! "Um, Zorre," Varda tried again carefully, noticing how the feral bug that hadn't fallen asleep had started to charge towards them, wanting revenge.
