| It was a bright new day, the sun's gentle warmth bringing a pleasant feeling to those who stepped outside. Through the windows of The Hollow, Tahlia could see the sun's rays dappled across the ground, it's light scattered by the canopy provided by the large trees that Brightfall Guild was built into. Her attention was quickly diverted from the outside scenery however when an Ampharos entered the room, and the apprentices who were gathered quickly turned their attention to him. An Amaura followed him into the room before the Ampharos, - Pierre, the Guildmaster of Brightfall's Guild - began to speak.
"Good morning everyone!" he greeted them cheerfully, signalling the beginning of that morning's briefing, "It's brilliant to see everyone already up and ready to go. There aren't any important notices this morning so i'll hand you over to Isabel and those who don't already know what they're doing today will be assigned their tasks for the day." Pierre smiled before stepping back to let the timid Amaura take the floor. Isabel spoke up in her quiet voice as she stepped forward, a notebook balanced on a small, horizontal Barrier in front of her, "Apprentices who already have assignments can leave to go about their work. Anyone else should come and see me so I can give out the remaining tasks." The Amaura then focused her attention on the approaching apprentices, working on assigning the tasks to those who needed them, using her jaws to gently flip through the pages of her notebook. Meanwhile, Tahlia turned to her teammates Lucas and Oliver.
"So we're already doing stuff from the job board today right?" she asked them, hopping up from her seat by the window. The question was actually rhetorical, Isabel having already told them the day before that they'd be continuing to do missions from the job boards for now, so the Buneary quickly moved on. "We should go and see what's there before someone else decides to take the more interesting ones," she grinned.

| There was two new pokemon MAKING THEIR WAY DOWNTOWN WALKING FAST FACES PASS/shot who were here on business including the guild. The bigger of the two was a Munchlax named Dotty. She was a pleasant ol' pokemon and a little more active than most of her line. Quite odd, she wanted to travel around and see more of the world. When she heard of the stories of all the magnificent places they went to, she just had to join! Of course she needed help. A team mate to join with her. That was her little purple friend's role.
She honestly hadn't known him too long. She had found him injured and on his own. In order to save him, she had literally carried the Nidoran all the way to the town of Brightfall to receive treatment. It was while he was recovering that she heard of the guild and its exploits. She had asked questions and leaned more as the Nidoran had gathered his strength. When he was better she got to talking with him. He seemed interested in joining too, so she suggested they join together. So here they were, heading up to join the guild.

| Just as the Guildmaster and his assistant entered to deliver the daily briefing, a Riolu sat in a seat next to Tahlia with his eyes closed as he contained a yawn, most likely trying to catch up on sleep. To be perfectly honest, he had just woken up only a minute or two prior, and he didn't seem all that happy about having to be awake at the moment. As the briefing started he opened his eyes and looked over at the Guildmaster absentmindedly, and as it ended and the apprentices were dismissed to go about their daily jobs, he turned to look at Tahlia as she spoke.
"One of the more interesting ones, right." He stood up slowly, stretching out and rubbing his eyes as he tried to wake himself up somewhat. The way he talked wasn't in a mocking voice or a sarcastic one, but more as if he needed to make sure he heard it right and confirm what she said. Despite his lack of eagerness, Lucas nodded his head in agreement with Tahlia. "Sure. We can do that. It's better than getting one of the more boring ones, I'd rather avoid those." He continued, glancing around to look for Oliver, waiting to see what their teammate thought of it.

| The guild. Home to the strongest of pokemon, the place that took on apprentices and allowed them to hone their skills to become better at fighting and even rescue some pokemon along the way. The day was bright and shining as he approached the guild with the enthusiastic munchlax that he had owed a debt to. She had saved his life, the large bite mark that traveled across his hip was proof of it.
The scar was the bite of a Tyrantrum, the nidoran himself was too small to have the full arc of the jaws of the large pokemon. The sign of his rejection from his own herd. Zephyr had no conversation with the munchlax on the way to the guild, not quite interested in it as much as the guild. When they arrived, the Nidoran found himself rather lost in what to do. The two trees seemed to tower over him, as if they were the most important beings in the world as they housed the homes of the guild members. Many seemed to be going about their daily business, some training in a small arena outside. The two trees seemed to be connected to a bridge, a few tired individuals seemed to be walking across the bridge towards the smaller tree, seemingly relieved. He figured that the smaller tree was a resting area, not too shabby compared to the dirt-cave his mother had made when she had eggs.
The Nidoran gazed up at the guild as a whole, for this is what was going to make him defeat the old coot in Tyrannical Valley.

| Oliver had awoken early as he usually did. If the early bird catches the worm, the Sewaddle wanted to be even earlier. He was wide awake and after the quick morning briefing was with his teammates, Tahlia and Lucas.
"Well, uh... I'll go with you guys with whatever mission you want, but don't make it too hard. I don't want to fail the mission for you guys..." Oliver said, looking at the ground. He didn't want to let his team down. He definitely wanted to help, but he didn't believe he could do very much. Failing the mission would be the worst thing he could do in his mind, but the Sewaddle would still do his best to help.

| Tahlia nudged Oliver gently, "Don't be so hard on yourself. You're too awesome to fail," she grinned, trying to cheer him up. The little Sewaddle really didn't have much confidence in himself, seeming to assume that the worst outcome was the most likely. However Tahlia would do everything in her power to try and help him to believe in himself, one small step at a time.
Quickly moving on so that the Sewaddle didn't have time to dwell on the thought of failure, Tahlia began to head in the direction of the stairs to the second floor. Crossing the bridge to the main guild building was the quickest way to access the job board, so hopefully they'd head off the few who had opted to take the outside route instead. "Anywho, lagging around here won't find us a job, let's go!"

| Dotty smiled and nudged Zephyr good naturally. "You need to lighten up. If you were any tenser, your eyes would pop out of your head! I know you wanna get stronger with the guild's help, but don't go overboard, alright? Overdoing it will hurt you in the long run and you'll mess up your body. Its like... eating!" She giggled at the comparison. "Even if you can eat a very big meal you shouldn't eat too fast! You'll get a stomach ache... or worse, get sick!" She slapped Zephyr on the unmarked side of his back and continued in. "Lets join since you are so eager! This will be fun!" | |

| Zephyr shot an irritated look at Dotty, but made his way forward anyways. The sooner they got to training the better, he expected training to begin right after they signed up. What would they even do for training? Battling and defeating others was the most efficient way of displaying strength, maybe they would head to some dangerous place and start attacking those who dare challenge their strength? The nidoran stepped into the largest tree, heading directly towards the area which appeared to be the sign up area. How exactly DID they sign up? Speak to the guildmaster? Sign a sheet? How would he even sign if he had no thumbs? If it came to signing anything, Dotty would have to do it for him. | |

| Lucas stayed silent as Oliver expressed his concern about failing the mission, and Tahlia comforted him. The Riolu wasn't exactly the best at that sort of personal comforting stuff, so he usually preferred to let Tahlia take care of it. He followed behind as the Buneary lead them to the stairs, getting ready to head into the main guild building to search for a mission.
"Maybe we should go with an interesting one, but maybe one that's not overly difficult." He yawned somewhat, still not completely awake and attentive. He wasn't going to outright say it, but launching themselves into difficult missions didn't seem like the best course of action in his mind. Yeah, they had been at the guild for a bit of time now, but he didn't think they were incredibly skilled with it as of yet. His idea was that gradually working up towards the harder missions would help them the most.

| Oliver sighed, but smiled slightly. Tahlia was such a nice Pokemon. The Sewaddle wished he could have the confidence of the Buneary, but her kind words at least helped a little. "Thank you," he said before following his partners over to the mission boards.
"Yeah, interesting but not too hard," the bug said with a nod of agreement. He followed along just behind them, trailing behind sometimes and then speeding up to catch up with them. Although he didn't think he was that good at more interesting and dangerous missions, even with his cowardice he found more mundane tasks like simply finding items boring. He'd leave it up to them still. Lucas and Tahlia were much better explorers than him. They definitely knew what they were doing.

| Tahlia nodded as she lead Oliver and Lucas across the wooden bridge that lead to the main guild building, reaching the room where the job boards were located and moving over to it, lifting up a few jobs to see if there were others hidden beneath. "Not too hard, but still interesting.." she blinked, scanning the request board in front of her for something that vaguely fit the criteria given to her by her teammates. Turning back to them, she asked, "Do you fancy another trip to Windy Brook or should we go somewhere new?"
Meanwhile, Pierre had left The Hollow to go about his daily work and had spotted two Pokemon he didn't recognise entering the main Guild building. Wandering over to the Nidoran and the Munchlax as they looked around, he approached them from behind, keeping a step or two of distance so he didn't cause an accident when he revealed his presence. "Hello there. I haven't seen you two around before. Is there anything I can help you with?" he asked, his tone friendly.

| The nidoran turned quickly to see a tall ampharos standing over him. He had heard through rumors that the guildmaster was an electric type. Electric types had very few weaknesses and were generally viewed as one of the more stronger types, but the ampharos species were a bit lower on the power level chain. He was rather disappointed that the guild master was a mere ampharos, but spoke as if he didn't care, "We're here to sign up as apprentices."
The question was though, was this guild living up to his expectations? Where were all the powerful pokemon? All he could see was the basic stage pokemon, nothing strong looking or even remotely powerful! What happened to all of those great explorers and brawlers that were said to originate from here? Did they not exist or were they out on some kind of picnic?!

| Dotty raised a hand to give the guildmaster a wave. "What he said! He is Zephyr and I'm Dotty! Pleased to meetcha!" Always the cheerful one, Dotty seemed quite the opposite compared to her partner. Not even concerned about being strong, she just wanted the adventure that came with the guild. "So, can we join, would that be okay? I heard that the guild goes on all sorts of adventures!" She clasped her hands together and looked at Pierre excitedly. "Is it true?! Do you go all over the world and see all the amazing sights there are?!" | |

| Lucas looked around at the surroundings as the group headed over the bridge between the guild sections, taking in the sights. It somewhat reminded him of home, with the general set-up in the trees. In his observations he almost didn't realize they had arrived at the job board and nearly walked into it, stopping himself a step or so away and backing up.
"Why not? It's a pretty nice place to go around, even without having to do a missions. Might as well do something there and take in the sights too." He commented, glancing around the room as Tahlia looked over the jobs. Hey, come on, focus. You're here to be a part of the guild, not as a tourist. The riolu reminded himself as he stepped up to the board, looking over the jobs as well, hoping to help out somewhat.
