The Princess and the Researcher. Black Spear Residents?

Akuroma sat in the main room of his cabin within the Black Spear Mountain Range. He was writing on the now-completed cabin and about how he'd begin his studies on the surrounding area soon. As he finished the paper he looked around and sighed. The peace and quiet that normally accompanied his days now was appreciated, but it was getting to the point of being too quiet. He hoped that once his studies were done in the surrounding area he'd pick a more lively area to live. Perhaps he'd study the forests surrounding Grassveil? He shrugged the thought away. It'd be best to focus on his studies here instead of those in the future.

The footsteps of a lone dino were soft, but noisy to sensitive ears as a tyrunt made her way through the mountains, patrolling her new home and searching for any recruits or intruders upon her freshly claimed land.

The day had been long, but the tyrunt trekked on. She soon happened upon a small structure made of wood, a cabin as they called it. What was this doing on her property? Surely she hadn't allowed any to build upon her land, she hadn't even recruited anyone officially yet!

Victoria paused, gazing at the cabin, thinking about her next move. Her mother would politely ask them to leave, or just allow them to stay. Her father would drive whoever it was out, snarling and roaring in rage. She soon decided to try a mix of both, explain the situation and try to come to a compromise, or else drive whoever it was out and prove her power by making whoever dared to invade her land an example to any others who might try to invade her land.

The tyrunt approached the cabin, and with her tiny arms she knocked on the door, her chin bumping on the door as well due to the sad length of her arms that her species had evolved with.

Akuroma looked up at the sudden knock. He hadn't expected anyone, and only a few people knew he lived here. He cautiously made his way to the door and stood there for a second, wondering if he should ready an attack or not. Deciding to just be prepared, the Kirlia drew his arm back and readied a Psyshock before sliding the peephole open to look at the visitor. "May I help you?" he asked, seeing the Tyrunt in her awkward position. He assumed it was a resident of the Mountains, as he knew the ancient species of Pokemon lived here, though he had yet to meet one himself.

The tyrunt had backed up a bit as she waited for the door to be answered, she was surprised when a slab inside the door slid open quickly to reveal a large red eye of a Kirlia. The tyrunt did not know of the species of Kirlia, so she came to the conclusion that this pokemon was a new species to her due to not knowing any pokemon with bright red eyes like this pokemon had.

"May I help you?"

The eye in the aperture questioned the tyrunt, its eyes seemed to be studying her as it was probably determining whether she was friend or foe. The tyrunt assumed that she did not have to state she wasn't here to cause trouble, immediately at least or at all depending on the circumstances, due to her knocking and not barging the door down like a barbarian.

"I am Victoria, the Princess of a Kingdom far away," the heir pokemon introduced herself deciding to give the full story so the pokemon might understand the situation here. She was trying the more civil approach, her mother's tactic for generating subjects.

"I decided quite a while ago to make my home in this here mountain range and had claimed this area as the territory of my kingdom, and this place was not here before when I claimed this area. It seems that you have built your home or base on my property..." the tyrunt trailed off, hoping the pokemon would understand the problem by then as she had said it rather clearly.

Akuroma blinked, he had seen no signs of this area being claimed. He sighed and closed the peephole. Letting the Psyshock he had been charging up disappear, he opened up the door. "Sorry about building in your land. I hadn't seen any sign anybody lived in the immediate area so I thought it was up for grabs. Why don't you come in? We'll have to figure out some sort of compromise or something to fix this mistake," he said, gesturing the Tyrunt to come inside. In truth he wasn't interested in compromising at all, he was more interested in the Tyrunt and the kingdom she mentioned, if her story was to be believed.

The tyrunt hesitated, not really expecting to be invited in. She debated going in briefly before deciding it was rude to just stand there like an idiot after being invited in. The tyrunt nodded her thanks before stepping inside, observing the inside. It seemed as if this pokemon had become nice an settled in, which was a bit disappointing since it would be more difficult to convince them off of her land.

Victoria had finally gotten a good look at the pokemon, a medium sized pokemon with a strange tutu despite its voice being obviously male. The tutu looked as if it were ripped, and three scars had been marked across his cheek, suggesting he had experience in battling and making him slightly more intimidating.

Despite the unintentional intimidation, the princess held her ground as she waited for the host to speak more, like introduce themselves, or even jump straight to the bargaining.

Akuroma's horns twitched as he looked past the Tyrunt, "I don't suppose those are friends of yours," he asked, pointing to the Skiddo and Scraggy he saw coming towards the cabin with angry haste. He sighed a bit, it seemed everybody was having problems with his cabin. It would have been nice if they spoke about it before it was completed, but no, everybody had to come after it was completed. Nearly a month of work that cabin was, and Akuroma was in no mood to tear it down just a day after it's completion.

The tyrunt turned to see a Scraggy riding a skiddo as the two bounded towards the cabin in a fit of rage. Confused, the tyrunt shook her head and exited the cabin to meet the two pokemon and prevent them from barging into the host's home. The two seemed to not slow down as they approached, the scraggy's fist seemed to glow, as did the Skiddo's horns and more dust began to trail behind the skiddo. The Scraggy getting a Brick Break ready and the Skiddo getting ready to Bulldoze the place!

Victoria felt a surge of power rise in her throat, it began in a growl of warning as they neared before the tyrunt took a step forward and opened her jaws and a loud roar bellowed towards the skiddo and scraggy. The skiddo fought against the winds of the roar, and was slowed enough to fall over as the force of the roar ended while the skiddo was still trying to push through the wind. The scraggy had been clinging to the skiddo's horns along with the skin that drooped around its body, before falling off the skiddo completely.

The two stood once more, seeming to not be such happy campers now that their attack had been put to a complete halt.

Akuroma blinked as the Tyrunt roared at the two Pokemon powerfully enough to stop them in their tracks. "Man and I thought Keyami was a loud mouth," he mumbled to himself before stepping beside the Tyrunt. He swung his arm back as mint green electricity surrounded the appendage, reading a Thunder Punch.

"You've got till three to get out of here," he said, swinging the arm up above his head. The two Pokemon began to charge at Victoria and Akuroma again. "One..." he said, moving in front of Victoria as he charged more electricity into the Thunder Punch. His arm crackled with energy as the two Pokemon neared. "Two..." he said as he spread his legs to get better leverage. "Three!" he yelled out as the scraggy and Skiddo were just a couple of feet away from him as he punched the ground, sending a sudden wave of electricity at the two Pokemon.

The skiddo bleated just in time and began to pound the ground with a harder force, causing dust to fly up and protect it from the Electric type attack with its Bulldoze attack. The Scraggy on the other hand, wasn't so fortunate as it was struck with the attack, and became paralyzed. It only seemed to smirk though, as it continued forward and used Facade on the Kirlia before backing away once more as its ability kicked in and shed it of its status.

Victoria meanwhile had darted forward behind the wave of electricity and met the Skiddo's horns with her Icy Jaws. The two struggled against each other, each one trying to throw the other to the side like wrestlers. The longer the two remained connected, the more the ice began to creep down the skiddo's horns. The skiddo realized this and backed off from the power struggle, kicking Victoria with its front leg to force her to let go. The ice had just barely touched its head, and Victoria suffered a scratch on her chest from when the Skiddo kicked her away with its hoof.

Akuroma grunted and stumbled back from the Facade attack. He steadied himself before his fist became covered in electricity again and he began swinging several punches at the Scraggy. He decided the Tyrunt could handle the Skiddo just fine, and instead kept his attention on the Scraggy in front of him. It wasn't very hard, as their battles drew on, they ended up pushing farther away from each other and the cabin, thankfully getting out of the line of fire.

The tyrunt had little difficulty pushing the skiddo back now that it was wary of her icy jaws. The small goat pokemon occasionally rushed forward only to stop and back off again, as if it were trying to scare the tyrunt into flinching. The heir pokemon merely huffed a blast of icy cold breath and advanced on the skiddo, who suddenly gave a sharp bleat and rushed forward, green flashes coming from its sides and smacking the Tyrunt. Victoria froze in surprise, and soon after being slapped she was hoisted into the air by the vines of the Skiddo. She had been about to bite the vines or cry out for help, but the skiddo's vines extended and wrapped around her maw, silencing the tyrunt as she struggled against the vines.

The scraggy remained energized and backed up a bit, a determined face as its head began to glow a bright grey, preparing to use Iron Head on the Kirlia.

Akuroma glared at the Scraggy as it prepared an Iron Head attack. Letting his Thunder Punch fade, Akuroma had a Protect form on it, shielding him from the Iron Head. The Scraggy was having none of it, as it repeatedly banged it's shiny head against the shield to break it, which would happen soon as cracks began to form on its surface. Realizing this, Akuroma jumped back, and had just enough time to notice the Tyrunt in her predicament before the Scraggy rammed it's head into his gut with a Headbutt. Akuroma was thrown onto his back. Holding his gut, he coughed and stood up shakily.

Panting, he disappeared in a flash of mint green light, only to reappear right in front of the Skiddo and punch it in the face as his Thunder Punch charged.

The skiddo didn't take much damage from the punch due to being a grass type along with years of headbutting other pokemon. The skiddo gave a bleat and retreated, swinging the tyrunt that was still attempting to struggle against the vine around to smash into the Kirlia similar to the fashion of swinging a flail. The bound princess could do nothing but be swung around and struggle against the vines as they only tightened their hold so the momentum would not send her flying out of the skiddo's grip.

Akuroma grabbed a hold of the Tyrunt, wrapping his arms around her middle as she was flung into him. He groaned, the Tyrunt being a lot harder than he had expected but kept his ground as he was enveloped in a mint green light that seen spread to the Tyrunt. When the light disappeared, both of the Pokemon were gone, only to reappear in another light just a few feet behind the Skiddo and Scraggy.

"Huff...huff, you alright?" Akuroma said as he set down the Tyrunt, panting from her hardness and weight. Catching his breath, the Kirlia looked at the Skiddo and Scraggy, charging up a Psyshock.
