First topic message reminder :

Ares walked diligently and briskly as the woods continued to develop before him, his eyes piercing the thick darkness as it unfolded before him. It blossomed, like a dew-dropped gilded sakura, and continued to move with him through the woods. By the time that the edge of the woodland presented itself, all he could see was blinding white that outlined the contours of the undergrowth and the tree trunks. He would penetrate it willingly, his eyes narrowing as the piercing light splintered before him and revealed blue skies, white clouds, and a gorgeous waterfall. He was not one to be dramatic, and thus would prevent his hand from flying steadfastly to his eyes in order to shield them from the blinding, immaculate glow.

A rolling meadow, fresh and crisp with green blades of grass, sprawled out before him like a person suffering from heat. Mist and water vapor flung itself up from the base of the waterfall, and the magical sight was further enhanced by the splendid pink and light red flowers that sprouted up through the lackadaisical clearing. For a moment, the drake would take in this sight, and feel a great stir within him form. Such lushness was foreign to him, as the barren, rocky frontier had been his homeland for so long; it was a welcome sight.

"Wait, behind the waterfall? How could....actually that does work. The soil here is a bit damp so it would make sense that it would have moved here from the waterfall somehow. Nice deduction skills there Ares. No wonder you're so confident that you can train me" Brian said as the confused look on his face instantly disappeared as the nice warm smile that Brian usually had appeared once again. He seemed to wear the smile on his face just as normally as he was wearing that defense scarf he picked up a while back. It was as much a part of Brian as his arms, legs, chest, head, or heart. That smile was a part of his very being itself and it grew even wider now that he knew where the ruins were.

"Well, what are we waiting for? Let's get behind that waterfall." Brian said as he began running towards the waterfall, hoping that Ares would follow soon after.

That compliment was just enough to make Ares puff out his chest. His smile, which had previously been quite small, spread swiftly and grew larger. Indeed, his deduction skills could stand as tribute to his abilities to mentor and guide another soul towards greatness. As Brian insuiated that he should be the one to penetrate the waterfall's secrets first, the Charmander would rise to the occassion. The waterfall was very close to the cliff-face, and thus it was more likely that the only way to get to the ruins would be to leap through the cascading falls. He would take a gallant step forward, his brow furrowed and his eyes burning with the smoldering flames of determination.

Slowly, he would pick up speed, and then hurl his body like a living projectile towards the powerful, downward flowing water. His body, small in comparison to the thunderous roar and din of the titan sized natural formation, was rattled by the pounding water as his trajectory presented him safely unto the other side. His belly would slide across the wet, rocky ground, and he would realize that he had successfully made it. Standing up, he decided to wait for Brian before proceeding.

As he saw Ares speed ahead and jump through the waterfall, Brian proceeded to do the same. He dashed towards the falls as fast as he could, not letting his slightly weakened and tired state get the best of him. Brian's feet then leapt off of the ground as he jumped towards the raging falls, eager to see what was beyond them. His body then became enveloped by the water as he jumped through it, clouding Brian's vision for a second before his body fully went through the falls. Brian then started to spin as he landed on the ground, attempting to look cool after jumping through the falls. However, as soon as his feet touched the wet ground, Brian immediately lost his balance and tripped, falling and rolling on the ground before getting stopped by hitting a wall.

"Yahoo! That was awesome! What a rush." Brian said, still smiling as he leaped up off of the ground, not losing his balance this time. He didn't seem to be injured by tripping or hitting the wall, though that may just be because he was too excited to care about a minor bit of pain caused by that.
