The First Adventure Far From Grassveil! Why the Hell is Akuroma Going to Black Mist Mountain!?

Akuroma was beginning yet another excursion into Shadowhue Forest. His bag carried the items he's gathered over his adventures along with scrolls of paper to draw maps and make notes on anything interesting he saw. However, they were the same papers he took the last few times. Nothing was changing in Shadowhue, at least nothing noteworthy for Akuroma.
'There's nothing mysterious about Shadowhue Forest anymore... and the guild still won't allow me to travel any farther without an escort, which I'd have to pay for...' the Ralts silently complained. As he continued walking he spied Enzu closing up the dojo, a rather large travel bag strapped to his back.
"Enzu! Where are you going?" Akuroma said as he walked up to the Pawniard. He hadn't seen Enzu since he trained here once with Keyami, and that was before he got the three scars across his cheek.

"I'm not exactly sure," Enzu said as he tried to look around in the dark mist. "I would normally recommend that find some kind of shelter, a cave or overhang of some sort, but I cant see anything in this mist." he said. Enzu looked around and tried to spot anything that they could use for shelter, "So it might be best to keep walking until we find something." he said. As Enzu walked his foot hit something on the ground that was hidden by the mist, "Huh, whats this?" he asked as he leaned down to look at the item.

"Hold on, let me try something," Akuroma said when Enzu mentioned finding something. His eyes began to blue a bright blue as he prepared a Confusion attack. He focused on the mist around them, as it was simply just a cloud on the ground, and the mist began to change from black to blue. He slowly began to spread his arms wide, and the mist around them spread away, but only about ten or so feet, giving them a small clearing.
Akuroma looked over at Enzu, his eyes remaining in their glowing state as he looked at the seed, "Seems to be a Blinker seed. Eating it will temporarily blind you," Akuroma said, "It's believed that normal seeds that don't get into the earth on this mountain absorb the mist around them, and become these."

"Hm..." Enzu picked up the seed and looked at it closely, "that seems to make sense." he said. Enzu began to think of ways that he could use this seed, "This would be useful in a battle if we could just get it into the enemies mouth." he said. Enzu then looked around the small clearing that Akuroma had made with his Confusion move, "I think we should try going at a partial angle," Enzu said, "that way we can continue to climb the mountain, and when we reach the mountain wall we might get lucky and find a cave or some other form of shelter. What do you think?" he asked Akuroma as he put the blinker seed into his bag.

Akuroma nodded, "Sounds good to me, let's get going, I won't be able to keep this up forever," he said heading at a partial angle like Enzu suggested.
"Shouldn't be too far for now but we'll likely run into Pokemon because they'll be attracted to the light my Confusion makes," he said. As if on cue, a pokemon jumped out of the surrounding mist.
"Me and my big mouth..." Akuroma grumbled to himself.

An Aerodactyl came walking into the open area of mist and let out a loud and piercing roar. "Watch out!" Enzu shouted as the Aerodactyl appeared. Enzu tried to prepare for an attack but he was blown back by the Aerodactyl's Roar. How could I have not seen heard a large pokemon like that nearby, Enzu thought to himself. "Akuroma, get rid of the clearing in the fog!" Enzu shouted, "It will be just as blind as us in the darkness and we can use our senses to keep track of it!"

Akuroma nodded, letting go of the fog as he redirected his Confusion attack at the Aerodactyl.
"Let's not give it a chance to fight back," he said as he raised the Aerodactyl above the mist only to slam it back onto the ground. He then used the attack to bind the Aerodactyl to the ground.
"Take it down before it breaks free, Enzu." Akuroma said, both the Aerodactyl and himself struggling for control over the enemy's body.

Enzu nodded as Akuroma gave the command. As the fog began to close back in on the clearing, Enzu began to run towards the Aerodactyl. As he ran Enzu began to charge up a Psycho Cut on his blades, his blades began to glow black and grow in size into the shape of large crescents. The blades were finally to their full size when the fog had completely closed in leaving Enzu practically blind. Luckily Enzu could guess that the Aerodactyl was in the same spot with Akuroma holding it down, and even if it broke free it would most likely fly in the direction of the attack. As Enzu continued to run forward he jumped in the air and swung his arms, launching the Psycho Cut forward at the Aerodactyl. Since the blades were made of black energy, they vanished almost instantly in the fog, but Enzu heard the Aerodactyl cry out, assuring Enzu that the attack had landed.

Akuroma groaned slightly, after Enzu's attack the Aerodactyl broke out of Confusion.
"Enzu! It got loose, be careful!" he called out, not knowing how far the Pawniard was from him. Akuroma was about to use Confusion again until all the sudden he was grabbed by the Aerodactyl and lifted up into the sky.
"G-gah! Enzu! We're in the air!" Akuroma called out struggling to get free.

Enzu landed back on the ground as Akuroma called out. Enzu looked up and saw the Aerodactyl up and out of the fog. Luckily by taking off it had created a small clearing in the fog that also opened up the sky. When Enzu looked up he could see a vertical face of the mountain just near them. "Don't worry, Akuroma, I have an idea!" he shouted. Enzu then ran towards the cliff face and jumped towards it while charging up another Psycho Cut. Once Enzu made contact with the mountain he jumped again away from the wall so that he was now heading towards the Aerodactyl and was above the fog layer. Once Enzu saw the Aerodactyl he launced the Psycho Cut forward and blades flew. The black blades flew at the Aerodactyl, one blade hid the end of its tale, which barely seemed to effect the Aerdactyl since the tail was flying free anyway. But the second blade hit the Aerodactyl's left wing causing to fall towards the ground. The last thing that Enzu saw before he himself fell back into the fog was the Aerodactyl falling to the ground with Akuroma still in its grasps.

With a loud thud and a rush of air, the Aerodactyl slammed into the ground, Akuroma in tow. Thankfully the Aerodactyl broke Akuroma's fall, leaving him unharmed. He managed to wiggle out of the Aerodactyl's grasp before jumping away and preparing to attack, only to notice the Aerodactyl not moving.
"Hey! The crash must've knocked it out!" Akuroma called out, using his Confusion on the fog to create a clearing. He walked towards the Aerodactyl's face and looked at it, "Should be fine, seems to only be out cold, hm? What's this?" the Ralts ask grabbing something from the Aerodactyl's head.

Enzu ran over to the area where the Aerodactyl had fallen, as he got closer he saw the fog turn slightly blue, indicating that Akuroma was using confusion to create another clearing. As Enzu came into the clearing he noticed Akuroma was okay and holding a seed, "Glad to see that your okay," he said, "What kind of seed is that? It doesn't look like the blinker seed I found earlier."

Akuroma nodded, "Yeah, it's a stun seed, if the Aerodactyl had eaten this it would've become parlayed for a while," he said looking towards Enzu, but the glint of a bottle catching his eye near the Pawniard.
"Hey, looks like there's a Max Elixir stuck between it's toes. That'll restore your energy, which'll help you fight longer. There's no need for us to use it now, though," he said, placing the stun seed in his bag before grabbing the Elixir and handing it to Enzu.
"Let's get under that cliff face you used earlier and set up camp for the night," Akuroma suggested, changing the fog so a path opened up for them straight to the cliff face.

"Yea we'll have to remember that we have this now." Enzu said as he took the Max Elixir from Akuroma. Once he had placed the item in his bag he began to walk towards the over hang now that he could see where it was. "You know, it really is a shame that we haven't found a single Joy Ribbon." Enzu said, "I mean I figured it wouldn't be easy, but we've been searching all day and haven't found that many items in general."

Akuroma nodded, "Yes, they're probably worn by stronger Pokemon higher up on the mountain," Akuroma said, using his confusion to look for a cave on the rocky wall before them, "I doubted an item that makes you get stronger faster would be easy to get, at least not without sheer luck."
When Akuroma's search for a cave proved useless he used his Confusion to lift the ground underneath the two Pokemon up above the mist. Akuroma took a few deep breaths when he released the ground and it thankfully did not sink back into the mist.
"There, we should be safe here, we'll be able to see any changes in the mist that would only be caused by Pokemon moving around in it," the Ralts said, plopping down against the wall.

"Yea hopefully," Enzu said as he looked just over the edge of the lift that Akuroma created. Once he had adjusted to their knew height, Enzu sat back and looked out towards the sunset. "You know, the view from up here in the mountains really is spectacular," he said, "If it weren't for all of the Feral pokemon and unstable ground, I wouldn't mind living up here."
