» Likes: Growing up in a very competitive family, Brian loves competition in any form. Whether it’s battling, racing, or a simple eating contest, he enjoys all forms of competition (though he prefers battling/sparring the most) regardless of whether he wins or loses. Brian also loves venturing to new places, due to having lived in the same area all his life and hearing so many stories from his parents about the places they went to on their explorations. Most of the time he would enter a new area, Brian would just stand there analyzing the unique surroundings for a while before actually exploring.
» Dislikes: Brian disapproves of any form of cheating, regardless of the situation. He sees cheating as the most dishonorable thing anyone could possibly do and when he sees cheating take place, it’s one of the few times where he lets his anger get the best of him. He also dislikes doing nothing for long periods of time, believing that he could be doing something productive with his time instead of nothing at all.
» Personality: Brian is headstrong and optimistic, always trying to look at the bright side of a situation. He’s also very competitive and will use everything he has to win a competition, but is honorable enough to know when he has lost. However, Brian is almost never saddened by losing as he believes that in the end, everything he experiences will make him stronger. Brian isn't the most social person though, regularly getting nervous around strangers and getting embarrassed very easily, but is nice to any friends he makes and others in general. He also tends to become overexcited about certain situations, most of the time leading to more embarrassment. Despite his social awkwardness, he treats others with respect and is generally a nice person.
» History: Brian grew up in a small village with his parents, an Infernape and a Blazikien, along with his brother Ace who was also a Chimchar like him. In their early years, Brian and Ace would regularly watch their parents spar with each other, thinking that it was the coolest thing in the world. So whenever their parents had to go out on an expedition or anything else, Brian and Ace would spar with each other, attempting to replicate what they saw their parents do(though the best they could do was scratch at each other).One day however, they sparred for so long that they were at the end of their stamina, which in turn activated their blaze ability for the first time. When they went to scratch at each other again, they saw their fist’s become enveloped in powerful flames which when they collided, created a huge explosion. The explosion alerted their parents to come back home, not having left the village yet, and when they got there, they say both Ace and Brian lying on the floor completely out of energy after their previous collision. Not knowing that they had done this prior to that time, both of them were astonished, yet oddly inspired. They had no idea that either Brian or Ace had that kind of power within them. So after Brian and Ace had rested, they decided that they should train them so that both of them could harness that power and fighting spirit within them. Brian and Ace began regularly training with their parents after that, slowly beginning to harness their new Fire Punch attack while developing their natural skills as fighters. After a while, their parents relieved that staying in the village only training with them will not make Brian and Ace the fighters that they want to be. So eventually, when they believed Brian and Ace were ready, told them that they should go join a guild so that they can go explore the world around as they've always wanted to and improve their skills along the way. Before they departed from the village, Ace decided that both he and Brian go separate ways and develop their skills through their own path. Then when they eventually return to the village after mastering their abilities, they can finally have the epic battle that they always wanted. So Brian and Ace went their separate ways, with Brian filled with anticipation for his future adventures. He was determined to live up to both his brothers and his parents expectations of him and become stronger that they could’ve ever imagined.
» Other: Brian doesn't really have any preferences when it comes to food. He’ll eat pretty much anything, regardless of what it looks or smells like.
