A pink blot in the middle of mist and yellowing grass. That's how it must have looked from above.
Feli felt uncomfortable in her new, unfamiliar surroundings. Her pink and creamy fur stood out on this hill, like a snowflake on black paper. The cold mist made the kitten involuntarily shiver. It was strange, alien-like. Where was the familiar and homely bustle of Grassveil Town, the smoke from the chimney tops? Were was the plump Pecha berries of Pecha Forest, the ripe pink fruit dangling from the bushes? The Small Pond, the Guild? The young Skitty even missed the shadowy trees of Shadowhue Forest, which Feli had always viewed from a safe distance. At least she knew what lurked in those dark depths from a list of Pokemon she had seen, tacked onto a bulletin board somewhere in Grassveil Town. Here, though, she had no idea what lived in the mysterious mist of this hill.
It had been the furthest she had ever ventured before. She had traveled for five days straight. It's only supposed to take a couple days to get here, but Feli had to frequently stop and rest. Her paws weren't used to roaming so long, and after only an hour of walking, the Skitty had to sit down on the side of the road, panting. Sometimes she got off course and went left instead of right, this path instead of that path, here instead of there.
Why am I here, anyways? the feline Pokemon questioned herself.
I could be in the sleeping quarters of the Grassveil Guild, snug and warm. Of course, the answer came to her.
Exploration.
A small pink and cream-colored kitten, with a big velvet bow over one ear, who stutters whenever she first meets someone. Feli does not look like an explorer at
all. But adventure was what she wanted. And for good reason, too. Treasure. Discovery. In Feli's opinion, there's no reason why someone
shouldn't like adventuring.
Pecha Forest and the Small Pond could hardly be called dungeons, and the kitten isn't experienced enough to step a paw in Shadowhue Forest. In order to gain the full excitement of adventure, Feli must explore somewhere she's never been before. Starting with Pricklemist Hill.
