-Pokémon of the Week Contest-

Hello there and welcome to the Artist's Corner and the Pokémon of the Week contest!

As you probably know before clicking this thread, the Pokémon of the Week contest is an art competition where each week a specific Pokémon is selected. Artists are challenged to draw the selected Pokémon in whichever method they prefer, traditionally or digitally, for a 500 poké prize!

Feel free to discuss the current entries but note that they may be subject to change depending on whether the artist feels the need to change something about their drawing, or withdraw from the contest altogether.

This week's participation prize (earned for merely submitting an entry) is a Reviser Seed and will be received after this weeks judging has been completed.

NOTE: The image was slightly edited by the host to remove the signature that left the username, the host did her best to make it unnoticeable that there was an edit but it's still noticeable if looked at closely. Please do not judge based on that edit for it was to hide the username.

So far in locking number three, even though the tail shading bugs me a little. I like the pose and expression of the Fletchling though. Just thought if share some opinions so far :3
I do however like the technique used by entry 1. The black line around the Fletchling certainly draws attention to it, and the bird's pose is pretty cool though I feel like the shape of the wings needs a little work.

I like entry 2's style, it just seems really cute! Although the beak is more rounded on a fletchling and this one is rather sharp. The shading is also a bit abrupt, but it just seems cute to me especially with the music notes xD

Okay Judging time!
My choice for a winner is Entry #3, because of the amount of effort that was put into it. I love the expression that the Fletchling has and honestly the only thing I don't like about it is the shading on the tail, which I think could have been considered a bit better.

The runner up choice for me would have been #2, because I absolutely love the style of it. It's really simple, but the thick black outline makes it stand out. The reason I didn't choose this as my winner was the shape of the wings, which were a bit off to me and I felt could have been done better.
