The archen looked around in the shadow filled forest, it was dark, but sunlight somehow reached through the tree's leaves and left enough light to let the Archen see. He wondered if his friend would have any trouble in this forest, considering she was a dark type. Could absols see in the forest? Did her odd color help her in any way? Speaking of which...where was his friend? Acro's eyes widened as he turned around, where was she? Where was Izumi?

Suddenly, a new attacker burst forth from the forest undergrowth. The newly-revealed Leveanny jumped out of almost nowhere, and it did so so suddenly that Izumi just barely avoided getting sideswiped. "Tuck and roll! Tuck and rooooooll!!!!!" her brained screamed as her instincts took over and she switched to the offensive.

"Look out Acro! It's a bug type; don't let it confuse you with speed!!!" Izumi called to the prehistoric bird who was accompanying her.

"What?" the archen called out the the absol, who did not quite hear her. The leavanny gave off a screech as it began to move around the archen quickly, creating doubles as it used double team. The archen seemed to shrink a bit in fear as the leavanny doubles smirked one by one.
"All right...you wanna p-play that way!" The archen tried to sound intimidating, but failed to do so and only seemed to look ten times less intimidating.
Although, once the archen finished speaking, he began to move around quickly as well, doubles of himself being created until Archens and Leavannys were all over the area, each either glaring at each other, the leavanny glaring at the absol, or the archen looking to the absol, looking for a little help.

Izumi provided backup by pegging the Leavanny square in the back with a Quick Attack. The Absol was NOT screwing around this time; she happened to have a weakness to bugs after all, so this thing had to go down. Fast. The second her paws touched the ground, Izumi retreated backwards a bit so that there was a bit of distance between her opponent and herself.

The Leavanny screeched in pain and whirled around to face it's other attacker. Luckily enough; the bug opted to launch a Razor Leaf instead of a more threatening Bug-Type move. Izumi dodged rather easily, escaping with only a few scrapes.

"Let's take this thing out fast, Acro! Bugs make my skin crawl, and I don't even have to mention how bad they are for my health!!" Izumi shouted.

The archen was a bit amazed by the absol's luck in hitting the right leavanny about of the multitude spread around the area. The archen put on a determined front despite his fear, and climbed up the nearest tree, allowing his doubles to keep the real Acro hidden from view.
Rustling began to occur in the trees, they steadily began to shake faster and faster, until finally the archen dropped down from above and crashed into the leavanny, hitting the orb that was its head directly in a critical hit. The leavanny screeched in pain, but survived. Acro was burdened by the joy ribbon, so his move was massively weaker than what it could have been.

Izumi very strongly doubted that she would get that super lucky ((failed to resist pun urge)) again if she tried to attack her foe directly. She was disoriented enough by the multitude of copies surrounding her, and their scents were all so identical that she didn't even have a prayer of sorting them out that way. The most Izumi could do in this predicament was Feint away copies as they tried to strike her and hope that the real one leapt at her. Izumi was hopeful when she saw Acro peg the little bugger square in the noggin, but huffed unhappily when it survived.

Acro screeched as he was grabbed by the leavanny's arm by the tail and thrown into the treetops. The branches kept him from rocketing into the air. The archen rubbed his behind, his tail sore from nearly being pulled right off of him, and returned to the battle field. The archen looked to see the Leavanny attempting to set up more doubles to add to her team, the leavanny have a sneaky snickers bar to the duo as she prepared what seemed to be a Leaf Blade as the blade that was her arm being to become thicker and sharper, not to mention less wavy and more heavy.
