| - Mission:
I've heard so many things about Monochrome Falls, but I've never seen them! I don't think I'm strong enough to make it there on my own, though. Could you please help me?
» Client: Mienshao » Objective: Escort Mienshao to Monochrome Falls » Place: Shadowhue Forest » Restrictions: Don't let your client faint. » Difficulty: F » Reward: 150 Poké » Exploration Points: 10
A brown, red, and blue shape accompanied by a purple pokemon that was larger than it. The brown bird like pokemon spoke to the purple pokemon, "So you're Mienshao?" "Yes" the pokemon replied. "Alright, I can get you to the falls" Acro the Archen replied, I think... he thought. The Archen walked in front of the meinshao, leading the way for the pokemon. He had been to the falls before, it would be easier to get there that way. What made Acro wonder was why a fully evolved pokemon would want help in such a dungeon that wasn't as strong as said to be. Acro was a higher level and could take on this forest easily, so why couldn't the other pokemon? | |

| The small, spiral-shelled fossil pokemon moved through the forest, using it's tentacles to carefully make his way through the roots of large trees. He had his face stuffed diligently in a science-fiction novel, absent-mindedly pushing up his glasses. He was so engrossed in his book, he almost didn't notice that he was moving along behind two pokemon, a purple mammal pokemon, and a multi-colored bird pokemon, who looked like a fellow fossil pokemon. "Oh, hello! I'm sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt whatever you were doing, I was just a little bit stuck in this novel." He hoped he hadn't made the two too mad, they looked like strong pokemon, not ones to be messed with. |

| Acro turned in surprise to see a strange shelled creature behind him. The mienshao reacted more drastically on the other hand. The mienshao squealed and tried to hide behind the Archen, "TH-THAT'S one of the forest pokemon isn't it? It's dangerous isn't it?" The feathered pokemon was surprised by the pokemon's reaction to the smaller pokemon, and wondered if the Meinshao had bad experiences with wild pokemon. Acro decided to speak to the Spiral-shelled pokemon, "N-No, Y-You're fine!" The Archen cursed at himself mentally, Why am I always so NERVOUS around new pokemon!? The Archen shook his head and tried to speak more steadily once more, "Wh-Who are you, might I ask?" Well, I only stuttered once that time... he thought. He knew this pokemon was most likely friendly considering it had been behind them the entire time and didn't attack them, and it seemed to be wearing and reading things that wild pokemon wouldn't have. | |

| Jack looked at the two with a curious expression, the purple mammal seemed to be scared, even though it looked like it could crack Jack's shell open. The fellow fossil pokemon didn't look scared, but its voice sounded nervous, 'Is it something about my appearance? Maybe if I take off my glasses...' He book-marked his novel and stuffed it in his shell, along with his glasses, "Hello, I'm Jack the Omanyte, and who are you, if I may ask?" He moved a little back and forth nervously, he wasn't too sure he was welcome here. |

| As the pokemon named itself as Jack, the Archen listened closely to it as the client pokemon continued to cower behind the Archen. The Archen knew little of Omanytes, just that the species was elderly like his and dated back to prehistoric times, like his. The small bird finally spoke, "I-I'm Acro the Archen of Team Roark, and this is my Client, Mienshao. I'm on a mission to take him to Monochrome Falls, sorry to be nosy, but why are you here?" He could tell the pokemon must have been partially water type, considering the blue color and the tentacles reminded him of tentacool. "Sh-shouldn't we j-just keep moving?" The Mienshao asked, "The sooner w-we get there the better...I don't care who comes with us as long as I get there!" | |

| Jack slapped one of his tentacles on his forehead in a "DUH!" expression, "Oh, so you're an Archen! I know some things about you, like the fact that you can't fly yet, right?" Jack's tentacles started swishing a bit faster as he got excited, a real live fossil pokemon, just like him! "I was just heading to the Monochrome Falls, I heard it's nice and quiet there, and I plan on reading my novel." He listened to the Archen explain what they were doing with a slightly amused expression, "Oh, then, is it ok if I tag along? I don't know the landscape too well yet, so I'd probably get lost in here...but if you don't want me to come, I understand!" He noticed the Mienshao seemed to be in a rush to get to the Falls, for some apparent reason. |

| Acro nodded, "I-I don't see why not!" He hated being reminded that he was physically incapable of flight yet again. It only reminded him of how weak he was and how long of a way he had to go before he became strong and evolved. He was glad he had a joy ribbon though, with this his progress was going a lot faster. The Joy Ribbon was wrapped around his neck like a scarf and it even kept him warm sometimes in colder climates. The Archen pointed further into the forest, "I've been to the falls before, so I know the way to it. It was a long time ago so my memory might be a bit foggy, so I apologize in advance if we go the wrong way." "I don't care how we get there I just want to get there. The waterfall is amazing, but I can't get there on my own. Once we reach there i'll be fine though, I'm trusting my life in your hands so don't fail me please..." The Mienshao responded with a huff. | |

| "Alright, that's great! So, shall we go?" Jack was still a little cautious about the two higher leveled pokemon, even if he didn't show it. He pulled his book and glasses out again, "Don't worry about me, I can follow, even when I'm reading." 'Most of the time, anyways...' He put on his glasses and opened the science-fiction novel, reading and following behind Acro and the Meinshao. |

| "All right...If you insist.." Acro spoke before turning to lead the way. The archen was resisting the urge once more to ditch the group on the ground and climb a tree then begin to travel up there. His kind was more adapted for the trees and to jump from tree to tree as they practiced flight for when they evolved. The Archen had a mission to do, and it would be rude to suddenly run off when he was supposed to be. It had been uneventful for a 10 minutes worth of walking, other than the mienshao's trembling voice asking about various noises every few minutes and Acro's answering with logical explanations. Acro had just been answering why a bush in front of them was shaking most likely, when two figures leaped out, and didn't seem too happy. One of which, held an item. - This dice is not existing.

| Jack looked up from his enchanting fiction novel enough to see two pokemon jump out of the shaking bushes that the Meinshao was worried about. He backed up behind Acro, but stayed ahead of the Meinshao, stuffing his book and glasses in his shell again and preparing himself for a fight. One of the pokemon, a rather large Poochyena, was carrying a very unusual box on his back, strapped on via web-like strings, probably made by his partner, who was a Sewaddle. "Acro, what are we going to do? I'm a ranged fighter, not a close-quarters one." The area they were in didn't leave many options for ranged moves, and he couldn't just climb into a tree and leave the Meinshao behind. |

| "Just do what you can!" Acro said as a purple aura enveloped him, since he was using Ancient Power. Boulders that had been laying around weaved through the trees as they came to the Archen's aid. The Archen screeched as he tossed the boulders as the pokemon, he could feel himself becoming stronger by the move. The purple aura ceased and the rocks flew through the air towards the attacking pokemon, he was mostly aiming for the poochyena since it would do more damage against the small hyena pokemon. The pokemon was struck by the attack, and his assault seemed to anger its friend even more as it tried to use string shot to slow the fast moving Archen down. The Mienshao kept a distance luckily, scared of the pokemon that had appeared and ready to run if things looked bad. The mienshao would flee and find a newer stronger rescue team if the Archen became knocked out. | |

| Jack sighed, "Alright, I'll try! Meinshao, try to hide somewhere while I fight, ok?" He crawled over to the Sewaddle and quickly wrapped it in his tentacles before it could move. It squirmed and screeched loudly, trying to bit his soft skin. Jack turned so his shell was covering the Sewaddle's mouth, and squeezed harder. Jack's body began to glow as he charged his energy for a full-power Aurora Beam at close range, when he was done, he blasted the squirming bug, knocking it out. Jack let go of it, and surveyed the scene, "Acro, do you need any help?" |

| "No I'm-" Acro had been about to say "Fine" but the distraction made him lose focus on his Ancient Power attack and allowed the Poochyena to attack him with a bite attack. The pokemon pinned the bird down, biting down on the pokemon's back. Acro screeched in fury as his tail changed to a bright white color and arced enough backwards to slam into the Poochyena's side. The bite pokemon screeched in pain and growled even louder at the pokemon, the box had fallen off of its back and Acro had picked it up. The Bite pokemon seemed to be much stronger than its friend. The poochyena howled, in attempt to raise its attack as it prepared to try and either take on or dodge any attacks that may be coming. | |

| Jack saw Acro struggle with the Poochyena, 'Yeah, he definitely needs my help...Hmm, what could I use to my advantage?' Jack had no items to use, and he wasn't seeing a good opportunity to attack. He sighed and watched as the pokemon howled, trying to raise it's attack, then it stared right at him, seeing him as the weaker link. It charged him swiftly and tried to bite at him, but Jack quickly retreated into his shell, trying to block the attack, but it changed tactics and flipped him over, exposing his soft underside. Jack instinctively fired an Aurora Beam, surprised by the sudden attack. |

| The poochyena screamed once more in pain as the cold blast struck its face. It screamed and yelped before running off back into the woods, fleeing. Some of the trees above had been frozen because of the beam, the mienshao looked up at the frozen trees in amazement, "Woow, you guys are strong!" He commented happily, "And here I thought some small fry took my job just for the poke!" Acro ignored what the Mienshao said and asked the small pokemon who was slightly bigger than Acro because of the Archen's below average size, "Are you alright? That was one mean poochyena." Acro used to have a poochyena as a partner, but Flint had suddenly disappeared one day during a mission, Acro thought the poochyena had left because Acro was weak, and didn't want a weak partner like him, but also didn't want to tell the Archen straight up like his first partner did. | |
