Find that Wrumple with a Rinka Berry!!

Mission:

A blue creature slithered into the forest excitedly. He had just taken a mission without Acro's knowing, since the prehistoric bird pokemon seemed to be busy with other things. The dratini was excited to take down a bad pokemon, a wrumple that had stolen from a poor Jigglypuff. He looked up at the berry filled trees with a hint of disgust, he had finished a mission recently that included collecting 10 of the annoying Pecha Berries. He gave a huff at the trees and slithered on, in hopes of finding the evil thief that should be brought to justice!

The dratini, which had wrapped around the Rattata to make it immobile was flung off of the rattata. Astrid wondered why William had done that, but didn't have time to question it as the wrumple used string shot to pin Astrid where he was. He allowed his nose to glow bright red and the heat of his nose burned the silk, he then lashed his head in the rattata's direction and used Fire Blast. The rattata dodged it in the nick of time, but took the hit when Astrid turned and used water pulse on the wrumple. The wrumple seemed annoyed that the rattata had done that, for now the rattata was confused and if the wrumple had taken it, it wouldn't have dealt much damage and it was impossible for it to be confused to that move thanks to it's ability.

After all that stuff had happened, William finally managed to oversee the situation again.
The Petilil was still sleeping, the Rattata at least partially icapable of fighting, but the Wurmple was still standing, so the Gastly chose it as his next target.
While it wasn't too strong of an attack and it's paralysis effect would be negated as well, William decided to attack with Lick, since it wouldn't endanger Astrid too much.

Astrid didn't seem to understand the Wrumple's ability though. He had figured out that it was his water pulse was what was making the targets confused, he used another Water Pulse on the Wrumple. He then had an idea that would make it a bit of an easier target, Thunder Wave. His nose glowed a bright yellow as electric shocks shot through the air and at the Wrumple, not damaging it by paralyzing it. It was paralyzed since it's ability only protected it from secondary effects of attacks, this obviously wasn't a secondary attack.

And of course Astrid had to attack the Wurmple at the exact same time William used Lick.
"I camf feel my tomfue..."
Since he couldn't move his tongue anymore, William was now floating around wildly, trying to hit an opponent with it. While it seemed unlikely, it was better than doing nothing.
Hoping for this painful and humiliating journey to end as quickly as possible, William did everything he could to end the battle.

Astrid finished the Thunder Wave and moved in for yet another Wrap attack, he actually had a plan for once! William would've most likely considered it a miracle that this little dratini even had one. Astrid attempted to use a wrap attack, but the wrumple dodged just in time and shot a string of silk at him. Astrid was beginning to feel tired when he tried to use Fire Blast, he was beginning to use it too much, from what he could tell he only had one use left before he wouldn't be able to use it anymore. He HAD to get close to the wrumple and wrap around it.

William couldn't figure out, what Astrid was planning to do, but when again, when did Astrid ever have a plan? It'd be a miracle if he had one for once. William, in his semi-paralyzed condition decided to turn to a Pokémon less likely to dodge - the confused Rattata, that currently was in the process of continuously running against a tree.
Maybe he could hit it with his tongue, paralyzed as it may be.

The wrumple continuously tried to slow the dratini down with string shots, but the paralysis would take effect and keep it from moving some of the time. It finally took on a full paralyzed condition, Astrid slithered up towards the wrumple and began to wrap his way around it. His movements were slow because of the many string shots weighing him down, but he managed to wrap around the wrumple, preventing escape. His nose began to glow a bright red, as his final attack prepared to fire.

Having somehow managed to hit the Rattata, William's attack sent it flying a short distance, as the paralysis had shut down the Gastly's nerves and with them the feeling of pain, enabling him to attack with more force than usual. The hit, combined with the impact and the Rattata's previous injuries was enouh to make it lose consciousness, leaving one threat less for the duo to deal with. Yet, ther still was the issue with the Wurmple...and Astrid probably didn't have any plan at all...

Astrid finally felt the power of the move peak, it took longer since it was the last use, and felt a burst of flames erupt from her muzzle and blast the wrumple head on in it's face. She was blasted back from the force of her own attack, into the air and semi-safely landing in a not too far tree. The wrumple stared wide eyed directly in front of it for a moment before coughing up some smoke and tipping over, defeated. Astrid blinked as he found himself suddenly in a tree, "How did I get here?" he wondered before weaving his way back down the tree to the ground.

William was just floating there, staring wide-eyed for a moment before he realized, that he had regained control of his tongue. As he saw the Rinka Berry lying on the ground next to the piece of toast, that had once been a Wurmple, his spectral heart skipped a beat. Finally they had found, what they had been searching for. Finally he could leave Astrid, hopefully once and for all this time.
But where was Astrid? William couldn't find her in the area, so he kept on floating in the air. Hopefully he would return before the Petilil would wake up...

"Willy?" The dratini called out, hoping for a reply. He was starting to become a bit frightened, the sky was taking on an eerie red as the sun began to set and he was all alone. He felt safer with Willy, Astrid deemed him a trustworthy friend that would probably stick with him to the end. The dratini looked about, tired, exhausted, hungry, and scared. He called Willy's name once more, and heard a rustle next to him.
"Willy?" he asked. He was startled by a large green petlil bursting from the bushes. Asterid gave a cry of shock before instinctively wrapping around it and rendering it immobile.

Of course Astrid hadn't just disappeared.
Of course he had to bring the Petilil with him.
Of course William was annoyed.
Since Astrid was tightly wrapped around the enemy, William's options were once again limited to say the least. For most of his attacks the danger of hitting Astrid was too present, the enemy wasn't worth a Curse and it probably wouldn't succumb to Hypnosis again. Thus William settled for picking up the Berry for now to prevent another wild Pokémon from taking it.

Astrid was able to get rid of the pokemon quick though without harming it much, he used a Thunderwave on it after it had passed out form lack of oxygen. He turned to William and gave an excited shout, "Willy!!" He slithered around as fast as he could around the ground the pokemon hovered over. He noticed the item that the Ghastly had and screamed in delight, "We found it!! Thank you so much Willy! Thankyouthankyouthankyou! I'd hug you if I could!!" the dratini suddenly gained more energy from the sudden discovery, the weariness replaced with adrenaline.

Astrid's weariness certainly hadn't disappeared but much rather been transferred onto William.
The trials and tribulations he had been through again had taken their toll on the Ghost type.
Wanting to get away as quickly as possible, he almost threw the berry at Astrid before saying:
"Uh, I've got to go now I...uh...I have...I have to water my roof! So bye and see you later maybe or not! Have fun and evrything and all that! And don't eat the yellow snow!"
William didn't even care, what he was saying anymore. He only wanted one thing. To get away from Astrid.

"Water his roof? Does he live underground or something? Come to think of it I've never been to William's house before...maybe I should find out and visit him sometime!" The dratini though cheerfully, he picked up the berry and began the medium slither home, for Grassveil wasn't TOO far, but it was certainly a distance. He couldn't wait to show Acro his prize that he had gotten with William, and prove that he can go out on missions with him too.
