| - Mission:
Wurmple attacked me and stole my Rinka berry! Without it I can't heal my voice if it ever breaks! Please help me get my Rinka berry back before that terrible day comes to pass! When I last saw him he had headed into Pecha Forest, he shouldn't be too far off by now.
» Client: Jigglypuff » Target: Wurmple » Place: Pecha Forest » Restrictions: none » Difficulty: F » Reward: 100 Poke » Exploration Points: 10
A blue creature slithered into the forest excitedly. He had just taken a mission without Acro's knowing, since the prehistoric bird pokemon seemed to be busy with other things. The dratini was excited to take down a bad pokemon, a wrumple that had stolen from a poor Jigglypuff. He looked up at the berry filled trees with a hint of disgust, he had finished a mission recently that included collecting 10 of the annoying Pecha Berries. He gave a huff at the trees and slithered on, in hopes of finding the evil thief that should be brought to justice! | |

| William floated through the forest, he called home, wearily looking around. He had been here for so long, now, and there wasn't anything to do... He wandered past the same old trees, the same old twigs, the same old berries. What should he do? William didn't know. Sighing, he watched the small spots of light, which had broken through the leafy cover of the forest and were now dancing on the ground. And the Gastly dreamed of better times. Of times, in which he could actually talk to someone without them running away. Of times, in which friends wouldn't be just a fairytale to him. But it all was just that...a dream. It would never happen. After clearing his mind, William continued onward. If only there would be something to do around here... And then it happened. He spotted HIM. That dreaded Dratini dreamily dancing through the forest. The same Dratini, that had almost fried William's brain in Black Spiral Staircase and Fiery Chasm. Why was he here? What did he want? William was sure, that he didn't want to know. But as he had spotted him, all those dark memories welled up inside him once more. He had wished for something to do, but THAT?! Unable to restrain himself, the Gastly found himself blurting out: "Oh no, not again!" There was no way in the Ghost World, that that slithering torture device wouldn't have heard him. | |

| "Oh no, not again!" A voice cried from not far away. Astrid heard the familiar voice, and slowly turned to see a dark orb surrounded by purple fumes. It was a ghastly. His smile widened as he recognized the ghostly pokemon, "Wiiiiiiilllllyyyy!" He cried before slithering towards the ghost pokemon quickly. He gave a cry of joy as he slithered around the pokemon's shadow and uselessly tried to leap up and wrap around the ghastly in a hug. His attempts failed which caused him to fall back to the forest floor and try once more to hug "Willy" who was actually William. She had nicknamed the pokemon "Willy" like she did with most pokemon she met. "Willy! Willy! I'm going after a Wrumple that stole a berry from a jigglypuff! Wanna come with me? Please! Please!" His eyes glittered as he begged to the ghastly, hoping for a 'yes'. | |

| Although he didn't show it, because the Dratini would be even more annoying if he did, William was crying on the inside. Why did things like this always have to happen to him? Did he have a Kick-Me-sign on his spectral back or something? But since he was sure, that the Pokémon wouldn't leave him alone until he said yes, he heavy heartedly decided to help him. "I guess I have no choice here...I'll have to come with you...", he replied, followed by mumbling: "Note to self: Never leave house again.". This day certainly wouldn't be a boring one... | |

| "Yaaaaay!" The dratini slithered in a circle around the ground the ghastly levitated above. He raised his head up high with a paper in his mouth and said, "So, what does the paper say? A pokemon told me it was about fighting a wrumple that stole something from a jigglypuff but other than that I have no clue. I can't read!" The Dratini didn't seem bothered by the fact of not being able to read, because he wasn't. Sure pokemon could go to different places in books, but Aster wanted to experience things first hand instead of reading teasers. | |

| William wasn't even surprised anymore. Astrid not being able to read had been almost expected by him at this point. He couldn't follow a train of thought for longer than two seconds, so why should sentences be different? William almost wanted to tell him, that the mission consisted of ntering and more importantly leaving the forest as quickly as possible, but after getting told, that he didn't finish his mission at the guild, he would probably return, which was the last thing William wanted. Sighing, he read the paper out aloud, expecting Astrid to have forgotten half of it after five seconds again, but at least he would be quiet for a second. "So...?"

| "Ooooh...COOL!" The dratini made a tight circuit in the forest floor. He spoke, "What are we waiting for? Let's go punish that Wrumple! He deserves a good beat down for stealing!" The dratini's nose seemed to glow a bit red with anger as the pokemon suppressed the urge to use Fire Blast right then and there. "Once we find him I'll just keep attacking him over and over with Fire Blast while I Wrap him up so he can't escape!" Aster spoke with a bit of a devious tone. He gave a huff once more and looked to Willy, going back to his normal self, "I'm glad you're coming though! It's likely someone like that will have underlings, Acro disappeared somewhere, he said something about going to Furnance Peak but I have no clue what he's doing up there...he wouldn't let me go with him.." the dratini pouted once more. | |

| "Smart choice...", William mumbled, rather envious. "Maybe he has finally learned to say no..." Then he spoke louder again, as this time his words were directed at Astrid. "I doubt the Wurmple will make it this easy for you...it wouldn't have reached the status of a wanted criminal without being at least somewhat prepared and having considerable talent. Do you know, where the Wurmple could be? I've been wandering these forests for three eternities, but up to now, I haven't seen anything suspicious." While William didn't believe, that Astrid's ideas about the criminal's hiding place would be of any help at all, maybe ignoring him while he was rambling would give the Gastly enough time to figure out a plan on his own. | |

| "Well, the wurmple will probably find someplace homey and oldest part of the forest, so maybe it'll be in the tallest tree? It would have lots of room to make silky traps there right?" Aster suggested, he slithered about beneath the ghastly as he spoke. He occasionally stopped to search a tree for any signs of Wurmple Silk of some sort. He knew that wurmple could use string shot, which would be good for setting up traps to catch off guard pokemon. Aster looked to the ghastly to see if his idea was valid enough to give them a goal, search for the tallest tree and see if the wrumple is there. | |

| Although it certainly was one of the last things he expected, Astrid's suggestion was among the least illogical things William had heard him say and even made sense, if only partially. With Astrid, everything was an improvement. Still not fully capable of comprehending, what he had just heard, the Gastly's response was: "Uh...y-yeah...that somehow makes sense...but of course the tallest tree here just had to be on the other end of the forest...why can't anything be easy for once? I don't suppose you have achieved flight yet, do you?" Although the answer would probably be more mind-melting randomness, William's usage of sarcasm had at least helped him to reduce his level of frustration, if only for a bit. Sighing, he awaited the Dratini's response. | |

| "Sadly no...I can only fly once i'm fully evolved" Aster sighed, but brightened up, "You can though! You can do that levitating thing you're doing right now, so you can go up and see just how far we are from the evil doer. Come to think of it, it's a good thing that you have levitate too. Without it you'd llook like a shadowy voltorb with purple gas flying around you!" Aster giggled at his thought as he imagined William rolling around on the ground similar to a voltorb. His giggle changed into a hysterical laughter at the thought quicker than he could think. | |

| William sighed once again. "Yes, I know...I've been here often enough, so I know, how far away we are...I was only asking, because flying would be a safer and faster way of moving. Now come on. We need to go." Although he would have probably said that every time you asked him, William was losing his patience with the Dratini. How could that little body hold that much energy and yet so little thought? Once again abandoning the thought for the sake of protecting his own mental stability, William decided to get this job done as soon as possible. | |

| "Really? Do you live here? Cool! How far are we? How long until we reach there? This is awesome~" The Dratini slithered ahead and into a bush. He poked his head out of the top as his body rested on the branches, "Come on! Come on!" he called. He wondered what it was like to live in Pecha Forest, he used to live in a forest with some eevees. It was always chaotic and fun and Mama-Eevee always cared for him along with her own child, who had evolved too early due to contact with a Moss Stone which caused him to become a bit paranoid of everything to do with his weakness. Aster missed his family sometimes...he would have to find some way to find them again if he could. | |

| "No, this is not awesome. The forest is a dangerous place and nothing for Pokémon like you. And to answer your question, we still have quite a distance to go. Now come on." For once, Astrid's enthusiasm seemed to be a good thing. It would lead to them reaching that tree more quickly, which in turn would lead to William being able to enjoy the silence again sooner. Hoping for not too many disruptions, the Gastly began floating forward, not speaking at all, trying to avoid conversation. | |

| However, Astrid seemed hell-bent on creating conversation. "Why are there soo many Pecha Trees?" "is that why this place is called Pecha forest?" "When do you think I can evolve?" "Where do trees come from? I know they come from saplings but where do those come from?" "Where do pokemon come from?" "Where do eggs come from?" The dratini spoke while searching about for any sign of what could possibly be the tallest tree. Upon the last question, he found an item. He picked it up and looked to William for answers to his many questions. He thought that William was smart, what better to do than ask smart pokemon questions? | |
