Black and White 2: A New Journey

It was a sunny, but breezy day in the small city of Aspertia. Jennifer Whispell was up and ready, bright and early in preparation for the day ahead. Today was the day that she would get a Pokemon of her very own and begin her Pokemon journey!
Heading downstairs, dressed, packed and ready to leave, she walked over to her mother and grinned, embracing her in a hug.
"I'll see you soon, mom," grinned Jenna, her mother nodding.
"Bianca may have gotten lost as it's the first time she's been to Aspertia City, so it might be an idea to try and find her," chuckled Jenna's mom, "Professor Juniper said to look for the green hat."
Nodding, Jenny replied, "Will do!" and opened the front door. She paused for a moment before stepping outside. Grinning, she headed over to her friend's house and knocked on the door.
"Hey, Kyo!" she called, "I have some awesome news!"

"Fair enough," smiled Bianca, "I'll call professor Juniper later just to let her know that all of your Pokemon will be transferred there. She has plenty of space though and you can be sure your pokemon will be well looked after," she grinned. Bianca then closed down the computer and headed over to the two clerks that Kyo had pointed out earlier, Jennifer following with Lutro still sitting on her head.

"As I said before, this part of the Pokemon Center is used as a mart. here you can buy supplies like Potions and Pokeballs. It's always a good idea to stock up on Pokeballs especially if you're planning to catch quite a few Pokemon along your journey," she smiled. Jenny nodded, taking in all the information. After a few moments thought, She decided to purchase multiple Pokeballs so that she'd have a good supply in case she ran into a Pokemon she wanted to catch.

I think I'll get some Potions, and a few Pokeballs. Kyo thought. Waiting for Jenna to get her items, Kyo purchased the items he had been wanting to get. Heading outside he glanced at his new partner and smiled, "Garcia this is going to be an awesome journey." he said. "Now off to Route 29!" he shouted before dashing towards the gate.

"Good luck on your journey, you two!" grinned Bianca, waving as the duo left the Pokemon Center and headed for Route 29.
"So then, Lutro! What sort of Pokemon do you think we should get on our team??" she asked the Oshawott, smiling as they wandered down the grassy route.

Garcia hopped off of Kyo's shoulder and ran beside him, she had never been in this part of the region. Kyo stopped at the edge of the tall grass and waited for Jenna to catch up. Kyo sat underneath a tree and looked at the tall grass, he could hear some of the Pokemon playing, or looking for food. Wounder what we'll catch out here? he thought. "Wait wasn't there some kind of rule to catch only one Pokemon per Route?" he asked aloud.

(Just realised I got the route name confused with another trainer rp i'm doing. We're on Route 19 not Route 29)

Jenny wandered along the route, Lutro glancing around at the new area, a grin on his face. She figured that the Oshawott had a pretty decent view from up there and wondered what else he could see, being that bit higher than she was tall.
Glancing over to Kyo she nodded, "Yea. Trainers are only allowed to catch one Pokemon per route to help preserve the environment. It's why less and less people are being granted trainer cards nowadays," she replied before turning back to scan the area.
"C'mon Lutro, lets go and have a look around! We'll have to think carefully about what Pokemon we wanna catch!" grinned Jenny, climbing one of the trees on the opposite side of the route so she'd have a better view of the area. From here she identified two main species of Pokemon that lived on Route 19, Patrat and Purrloin. Shading her eyes with one hand, Jenny attempted to decide on which Pokemon she would like to catch...
Lutro copied his trainer's movements, shading his eyes with one paw before pointing at a Pokemon with the other.
"So you think we should catch a Patrat huh?" asked Jenny, looking up at the Oshawott and following where he was pointing, "Alright then. They are kinda cute!"

Kyo was wandering through the grass with Garcia beside him, it didn't matter what Pokemon he caught as long as it was healthy and strong. Garcia was looking around and accidentally bumped into a Purrloin. The cat like pokemon got to her hind legs and let out a hiss. Kyo heard the pokemon and turned to see the Purrloin attacking with Scratch. "Garcia dodge it!" he commanded. Gacia sprang to her right avoiding the claws.

"Hold on tight Lutro!" grinned Jenny, grabbing hold of a nearby branch and using it to swing swiftly back down to the ground. She landed perfectly, her knees bending as she did so. Straightening back up to her full height, she scanned the area again for a Patrat. Spotting one not far away she jogged over, Lutro hopping off her head and landing neatly on the ground, using one paw to balance himself.
"Osha!" he cried, attracting the Patrat's attention.
"Alright Lutro. Tackle!" called Jenny. The Oshawott cried out again in excitement before charging at the Patrat. The Patrat made a short little squeak, flicking it's tail before turning and fleeing.
"Oshawott!" called Lutro, giving chase.
"Lutro, wait!" called Jenny, running after the water type. She caught up with Lutro to find him peering around a large tuft of grass, the Patrat hiding behind it from what Jennifer could see.
Lifting Lutro back up onto her shoulder, Jenny gently pulled the blades of grass apart until she could see the Patrat.
"Shh it's okay," blinked Jenny, smiling warmly, "I'm sorry for scaring you. I guess we were just a bit excited about catching our first Pokemon..."
Jenny frowned then sighed quietly, sitting down on the shorter grass. Crossing her legs, she held her knees and leaned backwards, staring up at the sky.
"Ahh. It's so nice out here. Maybe I should just slow down and take in the sights instead of running around everywhere. After all, i'm on a journey now, there's no need to rush, right Lutro?"
The Oshawott grinned, nuzzling Jenny's cheek from his position on her shoulder. He was already looking forward to travelling with Jenny. Lutro glanced down at the Patrat, who was peering out from the longer grass.
"Osha," smiled Lutro, noticing the Patrat's curiosity. Upon noticing that Lutro was looking at her, the Patrat blinked, ducking back behind the grass tufts. She sat behind the tufts, not wanting the Oshawott to see her.

The Purrloin hissed at Garcia and used Growl. Garcia flinched at the loud sound and moved back a little, "Garcia hang in there!" Kyo shouted. The Pokemon around this area were always calm and playful, so why was Purrloin attacking. "Garcia, come back!" Garcia turned her head to look at Kyo, he was already kneeling next to her. The Purrloin growled softly warning him to keep his distance. "Can you tell me what happened?" he asked the Sneaky Pokemon.

Chuckling, Jenny glanced down at the grass tufts. She could see the Patrat's white tail-tuft sticking out. Tickling the ball of fluff she smiled, "I still see you there!"
A small squeak later had the Patrat dart out of the grass and hop into Jennifer's lap. Leaping up, first onto Jenny's shoulder and then onto her head, the Scout Pokemon reached downwards, tapping Lutro on the ear before scurrying back down and hiding in the grass.
The Oshawott paused for a moment and watched the grass in confusion. After a couple of seconds a confused Patrat poked it's head back out, tilting it's head to the side.
"Tra!" it squeaked, Lutro's expression suddenly turning into a large grin. The Oshawott hopped down from his trainer's shoulder and chased after the Patrat, darting through the grass. The duo played in the area for a little while before Lutro finally caught up, tapping the Patrat on her ear and running away. With a little squeak of delight the duo switched roles, the Patrat chasing after Lutro.
Jennifer sat watching the two Pokemon, chuckling as she saw their excited expressions and cheerful antics.

The Purrloin started mewing and pointed at Garcia, the fire typed looked over at the sneaky Pokemon and started saying something. Soon both Pokemon were talking over each other. Kyo sighed trying to understand what the two pokemon were saying, finally he whistled. Both Pokemon flinched slightly at the shrill sound and looked at Kyo.

"I can't understand you two. Why don't you two show me what you were doing?" the young trainer suggested.

With a sigh the two pokemon went back to their places before they started fighting. Kyo observed what was happening and saw that Garcia was looking around and wasn't paying attention to where she was going. The Purrloin had her back turned to Garcia and she was cleaning her face. Based on the direction Garcia was going she bumped into the Purrloin.

"Now I get it, Garcia bumped into you. Garcia would you please apologize to Purrloin." Kyo said.

Garcia glances at the cat-like pokemon and apologized with a sad look. Purrloin smirked as Garcia apologized. It mewed and sounded like she had accepted the apology. Kyo smiled, happy that they had settled this peacefully.

After a long while of running around, and a short while of Jennifer herself joining them in their games, the two Pokemon ended up lying down next to Jenny, exhausted. The young trainer couldn't help but chuckle at the duo, scooping both into her arms and wandering over to find Kyo. Before reaching the other young trainer however, she paused, looking at the Patrat in her arms.
"You know we were planning to catch you, but those games you were I kinda forgot about it..." laughed Jenny. The Scout Pokemon looked into Jenny's blue eyes, tilting her head and blinking. She squeaked before nudging Lutro, the Oshawott, looking at her then his trainer.
It took Jenny a moment before she smiled, "I guess you wanna stay with Lutro huh? Well then, why don't you join the team!" she grinned. The Patrat eagerly nodded, squeaking excitedly at the offer.
Jennifer paused, letting the two pokemon down and crouching to dig through her bag for her spare pokeballs. She found them, picking one out and holding it out to the wild Patrat. She didn't even hesitate, touching her nose to the ball and being drawn inside. The ball clicked and Jenny smiled, letting the Patrat back out into the open. Lutro scrambled onto one shoulder, whilst the Patrat settled on the other.
"I guess you need a name then," smiled Jenny, "How about Celandine? Ceela for short."
The Patrat deliberated for a moment before nodding cheerfully.
"Welcome to the team Ceela!" grinned Jenna ruffling the fur on the Patrat's head before she jogged over to find Kyo.

Kyo picked up Garcia and went to look for Jenna. He wasn't aware that the Purrloin was following him. Garcia glanced behind her and saw the Purrloin. "Tepig?" she asked tilting her head. Kyo stopped and looked at his Pokemon, "Is something wrong?" he asked her. Turning around he saw nothing there, the Purrloin was hiding in one of the bushed. Shrugging it off Kyo finally caught up with his friend. Behind him the dark type wasn't too far.

"Hi Kyo!~" grinned Jenny, "Caught anything yet?"
She paused before realising she hadn't yet introduced the newly named Celandine to Kyo. She proceeded to do so, the Patrat giving a short squeak before attempting to hide behind the loose bits of Jenny's hair.
"She's a bit shy but she and Lutro seem to get on pretty well," she smiled, petting the Patrat to calm her down.
"It's okay Ceela. This is Kyo and we'll be travelling with him. There's nothing to be afraid of," she smiled, explaining to the Patrat in a soft, calming tone.

Kyo finally made it back to Jenna, he couldn't shake the feeling that something was following him. Glancing back he saw nothing. Garcia meanwhile was giggling quietly, the Purrloin from before was still following them. Kyo heard Jenna's question and shook his head no. "I ran into a Purrloin, she and Garcia got into a bit of a scuffle, but it's all settled now." he explained. He was starting to wish that he had caught the Sneaky Pokemon.

"You mean... that Purrloin?" asked Jenny, pointing behind Kyo with a small grin. Lutro and Celandince both peered over Kyo's shoulder's to see the sneaky pokemon. Lutro grinned cheerfully, crying out and saying hello to the Purrloin in his own way.
