Black and White 2: A New Journey

It was a sunny, but breezy day in the small city of Aspertia. Jennifer Whispell was up and ready, bright and early in preparation for the day ahead. Today was the day that she would get a Pokemon of her very own and begin her Pokemon journey!
Heading downstairs, dressed, packed and ready to leave, she walked over to her mother and grinned, embracing her in a hug.
"I'll see you soon, mom," grinned Jenna, her mother nodding.
"Bianca may have gotten lost as it's the first time she's been to Aspertia City, so it might be an idea to try and find her," chuckled Jenna's mom, "Professor Juniper said to look for the green hat."
Nodding, Jenny replied, "Will do!" and opened the front door. She paused for a moment before stepping outside. Grinning, she headed over to her friend's house and knocked on the door.
"Hey, Kyo!" she called, "I have some awesome news!"

Kyo opened the door to see his friend, he squinted his eyes from the sunlight. "Hey, Jenna. What's the news?" he asked. Rubbing his eye's Kyo quickly getting used to the sunlight. He had been up late last night studying. He was wondering what the news was. "Mom's gone out shopping by the way."

Ooc: Kyo looks like he does in the games.

"Ah okay. Anyhow, Professor Juniper called my mom and said she's gonna give us a Pokemon and a pokedex so we can start our own Pokemon journey!!" she grinned, obviously extremely excited by the idea.
"There's a girl called Bianca who we're supposed to meet and she'll give us our Pokemon! C'mon we don't have all day, you gotta come with!"

Kyo looked down for a moment thinking of what Jenna had just told him. His Mom wanted to study to become a doctor, but he loved Pokemon. This may be the only chance he could get. "Give me a second." he said before closing the door. Taking out a sheet of paper he wrote a note for his mother when she would come home.

Mom,

I'm going on a Journey with Jenna. Sorry it was kind of a last minute thing. I promise I'll call you when I can. You know how much I love Pokemon, and I know that you want me to study to become a Doctor. I promise, I'll study. Just let me have this chance, please.

Reading over the note, Kyo placed it on the counter and packed some clean clothes and a few of his Text books. Heading out the door he looked at Jenna with a smile, "So, where do we start?: he asked.

Jenna grinned, leading the way from their street towards the centre of the small city. As she headed towards the Pokemon center she stopped, noticing Hugh and his little sister a short distance away.
"Oh hey Hugh," she smiled, waving him over, "How have you been? Kyo and I are about to get our very own Pokemon!"

Hugh tuned to see his two friends, talking about getting their first Pokemon. "That's awesome, I thought you were studying to become a doctor, Kyo." he said. His sister looked at Jenna with kindness and worry. "When you get your Pokemon, please be kind to it." she said.

Kyo chuckled, "I'll still be studying along the way." he said with a small blush. "Want to help us find Bianca? She wears a big green hat, and she's Proff. Juniper's Assistant." Kyo explained. Kyo was trying to think of what Starter Pokemon he should get.

Jenna smiled in response to Hugh's little sister, "No need to worry, I'll be the kindest partner there ever was."
Turning to Kyo, she grinned, "If anything, I think a Pokemon journey will strengthen the experience you have in becoming a doctor. After all, some Pokemon are rather similar to us humans, perhaps by journeying with them you'll learn things you otherwise wouldn't."
Jenna smiled, "Anyhow, we should probably find Bianca. Let's try up at the lookout point!"

Being rather excited to get her Pokemon, Jennifer moved quite quickly, leading the way to their chosen destination.

Hugh decided to follow them to see what pokemon they would choose for their starter. "Race you two to the Lookout!" he said. Dashing off he glanced to see if they had accepted his challenge.

Kyo dashed forward matching Hugh's pace, there was no way he was going to lose to his rival. "Come on, Jenna!" he called out. Racing up the stairs of the Lookout, he saw that someone was there looking at the mountains. Coming to a stop, Kyo looked at the person. "Um, excuse me?" he asked the blond.

Jennifer, being already ahead when the race started, beat the other two to the top of the lookout, but only barely. Kyo soon joined her, Hugh staying back a little as he already had a Pokemon.

"You must be Bianca," blinked Jennifer, the blonde turning around and nodding.
"That I am," she grinned, "The view from up here is so pretty."
She paused and shook her head, "You two must be Kyo and Jenna. You're probably eager to pick your Pokemon..." she grinned, pausing to press the button on the capsule she was carrying, "Which would you like? Tepig, Snivy or Oshawott?"

Kyo thoght for a moment and decided to let Jenna go first. "Ladies first." he said. He took a few steps back to let his friend choose her Pokemon. While he waited he took out of of his Text books and started reading. Squinting at the small text he sighed and put on his reading glasses. He hated having to wear them, they were thick rimed and people made small jokes about them.

"Are you sure?" asked Jenna. With an affirmative from Kyo she stepped forward. Standing for a short while, she thought about each Pokemon. Deeming Oshawott to be the most adorable, she picked the Pokeball with the small water symbol on it.
"I'll choose Oshawott," she smiled, stepping back. Bianca nodded, handing Jenna a Pokedex before turning to Kyo.

With Pokedex in hand, Jennifer opened the Pokeball and the Oshawott materialized in front of her. It blinked, taking in the sight of it's new trainer before it grinned.
"Osha!" it cried cheerfully.

Feeling someone looking at him, Kuo put his book down and looked at the two remaining Pokeballs. Hmm, Jenna picked Oshawott. I've always liked a challenge. he thought looking at Oshawott and Jenna. He quickly saw the Pokeball with a Fire symbol. "I'll take this one." he said.

Picking up the Pokeball and released the Pokemon that was inside. The small fire type shook it's head and looked at it's new Trainer. "Tepig!" it cried, wagging it's tail. Kyo noticed that the Pokemon had a ribbon at the base of it's ears. "You're a girl?" he asked the Pokemon. The female tepig nodded, she gazed at his glasses and pointed at it. "Tepig?" she asked. With a chuckle Kyo figured she was asking at]bout his glasses. "They help me read." he said as he picked up his Textbook.

Smiling, Bianca handed Kyo the second Pokedex.

Jenna meanwhile stood in thought. She figured she should name her new partner but couldn't think of anything.
"Hmm... names. How about Lutro, little Oshawott?" she smiled. The Oshawott grinned and leaped into Jenna's arms, "Osha! Oshawott!"
Clearly it was rather happy with Jenna's name choice.

Jenna then turned to Kyo, "So what are you gonna name your Pokemon?" she asked, curious.

The Tepig was messing with Kyo's glasses while he was putting his book away. Turning to face the Pokemon he saw that the glasses was on her snout. "Are you trying to put them on like I had them?" he asked with a chuckle. the female Pokemon nodded sending the glasses to the ground. Picking up the glasses, Kyo heard Jenna's question. Thinking for a moment, he put the glasses on the small creature. "Tepig!" she cried out.

"She looks cute with the bow and in those glasses. What about Garcia?" he asked her. The Tepig wagged her tail and bounced around. "I'll take that as a yes. I think I have a spare pair in my bag. Let's just take the lenses out." he said. Popping the glass out he out them in the trash can and thanked Bianca for the Pokedex and for letting him keep Garcia. He turned to head down the stairs and paused to see Hugh.

Hugh looked at his two friends and their new Pokemon. "They look amazing. Why don't you two have a Pokemon battle? Just to see how strong your new Pokemon are." Hugh suggested. Kyo looked at Garcia and then to Jenna. "You up for it?" he asked her.

Jenny blinked at the suggestion, looking to her new Oshawott partner for confirmation.
Lutro nodded and threw his arms into the air in excitement, "Osha!"
Chuckling, Jenny put him back down onto the ground, glancing to Bianca just to check that it was alright to battle in a public area.
"It's alright you two, as long as we all stand back and you're careful not to damage anything," smiled the kindly blonde.
Nodding, Jenny grinned, "Alright then! I'll let you have first move Kyo, since Garcia is weak against water types."
