Joining the guild.

Nike walked up to the guild not exactly sure if he should even go in. But he walked over in front of the door. He heard a voice screaming below. "It's an Absol, clear to go in!" The voice scared him a little bit after getting inside. When we went through the door he saw a ladder in front of him. He looked down at his feet flipping them over. "No hands, thing will be fun." Nike muttered. He slowly went down the ladder until eventually getting down. When Nike entered the room from where he was at he could see many pokemon.

He slowly made his way around until he reached were he was hoping to find. "The Guildmaster's Quarters." Nike knocked his blade onto the door and sat in his place while he waited for a answer.

As Faye heard a knock at the door, she smiled warmly, wondering who she'd be meeting now.
After opening the door with her vines, it swung open, revealing an Absol.
"Hello, my dear.", she said kindly, happy about seeing a new face in her guild.
"My name is Faye. Now why don't you come in? Is there anything I can help you with?"

Nike walked in plotting himself into a empty seat. He wasn't sure what to do now. "I'd like to make a team." Almost saying this in a whisper. He looked around around the room not sure what to look at. He saw a line of bags, a giant book, and some plants until returning his attention to Faye.

"Ah...that is most noble of you.", Faye smiled.
"Don't worry, the signup process doesn't take long."
The guildmaster calmly walked to the back of her room, where several bookshelves were adorning the walls. As she retrieved one of the books and placed it on her desk, she began:
"So...first I'd need your name and the name for your team."

Nike forgot about the name of his team. What to name it. "My name is Nike....and my team name...is....Team...Howl." Sounded good to him. He looked down at the book looking at the different teams. So many.

While Faye was writing down the details into the book, she saw the Absol peek into it as well, supressing a chuckle as she felt reminded of her own first adventures. The time in which everything was new and interesting.
"Okay, honey.", she spoke, handing the Disaster Pokémon one of the various bags that were hanging on one of the walls of the room.
"This is your Treasure Bag. It's great for storing everything you might find or want to carry with you. In it, you will find your Explorer Badge, which shows, that you're a member of the guild, and a Wonder Map. That one's really useful to find out, where you need to go. Also you'll find a little gift from me in there as well. Feel free to look through it. Once you're done, we'll go and get you a room here."
Faye's smile grew even wider. She just loved giving presents to her friends. And that description extended to pretty much everyone, so one could say that she loved to give presents in general.
"Just tell me, when you're ready to go, sweetie."

Nike took the bag looking through it. He looked at the badge and map then turned his attention to the present. Inside was a black scarf. He took it and tried to tie it around his neck eventually getting it. After getting it he took the bag into his blade and then tossed it around so it hung by his neck. "Ready to go." Nike wanted to get a look around.

"Sure, just follow me!", Faye chimed as she walked out of the door.
After a quick tour of the guild and some brief introductions to the other members of the guild, they had finally arrived at the sleeping quarters again.
Thinking about which rooms were empty, the guildmaster then walked up to one of the empty rooms and opened the door.
"This is your room. It's rather small and there isn't much in there, but you won't be spending much time in there anyways. Most teams only use these rooms for sleeping. Feel free to decorate it as you wish, though. Oh and should you get other members for your team as well, you'll get a bigger room of course. That would be the signup process then. I suggest that you get some sleep. Tomorrow is going to be an exciting day and you wouldn't want to fall asleep on your first adventure now, would you?"
As she stepped out of the room again, she turned around and asked:
"Is there anything else you need?"

Nike looked through the room happily but didn't know what she meant by first adventure. He turned to the Meganium and asked. "What do you mean by first adventure?"

"Well, since you're a rescue team now, you'll probably want to take on a mission tomorrow. And while those certainly can be exciting, they're exhausting as well. Since missions usually involve traveling through lesser-known territory, I would describe them as a mission.", Faye smiled, happy that the new recruit apparently displayed such an interest for the missions already.

Nike thought that sounded like fun. He slipped the bag off of his body and made himself comfortable in the bed. "Ok then, better rest." He buried his head into the bed falling asleep quickly.

Silently closing the door behind her, Faye walked back to her quarters.
This had certainly been an exciting day, so she decided to get some rest as well.
How would the Absol do? What friends might he make? What would he see?
All those questions and many more floated around in Faye's head, as she thought about his decision to join the guild.
His adventure had just begun...
