A Vacation into Winter..?

Keyami sat on the banks of the frozen body of water, staring at the ice. "Alright!~ Time to skaaate!~" He leaped onto the ice (thank Arceus it was safe for him to walk across), and promptly fell on his face. "Yoooow~" He whined, trying to get back up and ending up sliding around on his stomach and getting a faceful of ice.

Nate had been walking along the river, checking out more of the area since he hadn't been able to yet. As he walked over the ice to get across the river, he heard a noise. He turned to look at what it was, only to see a Meowth sliding across the ice on his stomach, coming towards him. "Wha-" he started to say, and backed up, falling down back onto the ice. "What the heck was that for?" He asked, looking at Keyami, slightly annoyed.

"Srree" Keyami's apology was muffled by the ice his face was being introduced to. With a bit of difficulty, he scramble to his feet, wobbling as he stood. "Nice to meet you!~ I'm Keyami~" He made to step forward and offer a paw-shake. He had apparently already forgotten that he was really bad at walking on the ice. Face, meet my good friend ice.

"Nice to meet you. I'm Nate." He replied, and extended his paw to shake Keyami's when Keyami faceplanted the ice once more. "Maybe you should stay off the ice. You don't seem to be doing too good on it." He suggested, keeping his paw out to offer to help Keyami get back up.

Keyami pried his face off of the ice and took Nate's paw. When he met the Pikachu's gaze, he sniffled and tears welled up in his eyes. "I KNOW I'M JUST A HORRIBLE HORRIBLE CREATURE! DON'T LOOK AT ME! ANYONE WHO CAN'T EVEN WALK AROUND ON A MEASLY BIT OF ICE IS JUST UNDESERVING OF LIFE! LOOK AWAAAAY!" He wailed, fling himself towards the stream-bank and rolling about in the snow.

Nate just stood still, completely surprised by the sudden outburst from Keyami. "Um, it's really not that bad. I mean, there are plenty of pokemon who can't walk on ice." He said, trying to calm down the meowth. Walking over to Keyami, he looked down at him as he rolled around.

Keyami shot up, now completely covered in snow. "YEAH! You're right! I'm clearly amazing~" He stood up on the solid ground, apparently pretty pleased with himself as of now. "Well then, EMWAME. Let us travel together!" He didn't give Nate a say in the matter. That wasn't really the Keyami way.

Nate blinked, once again surprised by the change in attitude. And the random nickname. "Um, okay? And can I ask what that stands for?" He asked, now curious as to what the huge chain of letters meant. Looking at Keyami again, Nate could tell that it was going to be a long day.

"It stands for Electric Mouse Who Acknowledges My Epicness, duuuh~" Keyami gave Nate a look that said 'I feel bad for you if you can't understand even that' "Anyway, where to? I've heard that the Mountain is far too difficult to attempt to climb at my current level of skill.. So let's try the woods!~" He crowed, grabbing Nate's arm and dragging him off through the tundra.

Nate was no longer surprised by the moodswings, getting used to the fairly quickly. What he wasn't used to was getting dragged off into the woods. He was about to resist, when he realized two things. One, it was better to go with someone else then by himself, and two, resistance was futile. "I can walk you know." He said, and tried to keep up as he was being pulled along.

"But everyone always goes so much faster when I do the walking~" Keyami grinned and refused to relinquish his grip on Nate's arm.

When Keyami stopped, the duo was met with an army of trees. "Pretty~" he cooed, watching as the sun glittered and bounced off of the icicles that hung on the trees. He let go of Nate's arm and turned to him. "Welp!~ Let's go on then~"

I can see why... Nate thought to himself as he walked. Not that Keyami wasn't likeable, he was just annoying. He sighed, and kept keeping up with the meowth so his arm wasn't torn from his body. As he looked up, he noticed the trees as well. "Yeah, they are nice." He said, and then noticed that Keyami had said something to him. "Oh? Yeah, let's go." He answered, and kept walking through the forest.

Keyami took up his normal position for when he was exploring with someone. That is, he was a few feet in the lead, skipping and either humming or whistling. This was nearly always how he attracted the enemy Pokemon in the dungeon, but he clearly wasn't learning any sort of lesson from it. Speaking of enemy Pokemon, Keyami waved with a grin. "Hello there! Oh wait... You're probably pretty angry at having me in your place, huh?"

This dice is not existing.

Nate was just walking along behind Keyami, looking around at the scenery and taking it in. He wasn't listening too much until he noticed Keyami had started to talk to someone that wasn't him. "I don't think that's the best idea." Nate stated as he walked over next to Keyami. A Vanillite was hovering in front of them, not looking very happy. Without saying anything, Nate used a thundershock attack on the Vanillite, sending a bolt of electricity towards it.

"Eep!" Keyami squealed, quickly shooting a Foul Play attack towards the Vanillite. "Ruuun, EMWAME!~" The Meowth dashed around the Vanillite, screeching the whole time. He stopped by the base of a tree, gasping for air. Opening up a bag he had brought for this trip, he took out the green gummi. It wasn't his favorite, but it would do. He was starving! Then again, he was nearly always starving.
