When birds meet

In the air there was a Delibird... well, kind of in the air. He really wasn't up all too high. Sure, he passed over one story buildings, and even two story ones, though only just, but his height wasn't all too astonishing. Still, it helped him get from place to place. Nicholas' wings were tiring however, and he spotted a town near by. The Avian landed just by the town border. "Ooooh, I knew I shouldn't have flown that long." He complained to himself out loud while rubbing each of his wings with the other. With goggles worn on his head, the bird walked into town, hoping to find a place he could rest if nowhere else. It didn't have to be fancy. A soft patch of grass where he was unlikely to be disturbed was more than enough. That's just what he found too. In a wide gap between two buildings, there was some tall grass that didn't seem very attended to. Nick walked in and allowed himself to fall into nature's pillow. He relaxed in this spot for a while, allowing his wings to recover from the soreness he felt.

With the help of the delibird Flint hoisted himself up into a sitting position.
"Oof... it's okay.". He shook his head. The world was spinning,but he managed to look over at the thing that help him up. He squinted, trying to get a better look but... The poochyena looked the delibird up and down.
"Santa?"

Acro sighed in relief, "That was a fast find. Thanks uh...what was your name again?" Acro asked. He felt bad that he had forgotten the other bird's name. He looked to Flint and wondered if he had been hit in the head. "Hey Flint." he smiled when Flint asked if the Delibird was Santa, finding it amusing. He cried out as his tail was stepped on once more, he turned to see who stepped on it but he couldn't find who in the midst of the giant crowd.

As Nicholas somehow managed to get Flint to a sitting position, he was forgiven for his error, which brought him relief. The canine then said something that made Nick's eyes grow wide. "Santa? Where!?" The Delibird looked around the area for the red suited being of legend. He was told Santa didn't really exist, but there was always a part of him that wondered. "Did he see what I just did? Ooooooh, now I'm gonna be on the naughty list forever." His head hung low. The idea of no more Christmas presents does have the ability to depress a guy.

Flint rubbed his head with a paw.
"Heello Acro. I found you.".A few seconds later the world was kind enough to stop spinning now, complying with the silent request the poochyena made. Only a faint heartthrob remained now. He stood up and shook his head.
"Should prolly move to another spot.". Flint suggested.
"One with less... Tail stomping...". He swerved his head over to the delibird.
"Hey... Your not Santa..."

Acro remained silent, lost in thoughts as the two conversed about the legendary fat old man. He avoided yet another tail stomping as he was snapped out of his thoughts, "Uh-Uh yeah. That sounds like a good idea." Acro wondered why he had to be so small, he was less than a foot tall for Arceus's sake! He didn't know about a single pokemon that was smaller than him. The shortness was really beginning to bug him, like it always did in crowds.

As Flint made his comment about Nick's mistaken identity, the Delibird looked up to him. He was confused at first, but the realization hit him soon enough. "Oh, no no no." His head shook rather quickly. Shockingly enough, that's the first time he was mistaken for Santa, despite being named after him. "My name's Nicholas actually." Finally, Nick's wings rubbed together again. "Yeah, do you know somewhere I can rest my wings? I tried laying on the ground, but that didn't work very well." He smiled meekly to the Poochyena.

Flint nodded, he started to walk his way out of the crowd, occasionally looking to make sure the two were still behind him until they got to the side of the road.
"Wait... Isn't that Santa's name?". The canine tilted his head to the side.
"Well, anyways, I'm not sure of many places tah rest. There's the guild, which have beds and...". The poochyena looked at Acro for help.

Acro thought for a bit, "Small pond isn't as crowded as this" he suggested, "It's always either a few pokemon or completely nobody. Very rarely is there a huge crowd like this." he was nervous to speak. What if he was wrong? Would they be angry with him? Would Flint leave his team like George did? He still didn't know just why George HAD left his team. It bothered him a bit, but not much. It was George's choice. He had no say in it.

The Delibird laughed innocently as Flint asked about Nick's name. "Well, yeah, but I'm not -the- Nicholas. I just happen to have the same name." After hearing about the places, he tried to think, but was pushed around a bit too much by the general crowd to really ponder. After a bit he just made a choice at random. "Yeah, the pond sounds nice." The bird started walking off before stopping and turning to his company with a slightly embarrassed smile. "Actually, I don't know where the pond is. Do either of you know?"

Flint nodded, grinning.
"Yep, I know tha way. Ma used to take me there... Made me swim in tha water...". He muttered the last part in disdain.
