When birds meet

In the air there was a Delibird... well, kind of in the air. He really wasn't up all too high. Sure, he passed over one story buildings, and even two story ones, though only just, but his height wasn't all too astonishing. Still, it helped him get from place to place. Nicholas' wings were tiring however, and he spotted a town near by. The Avian landed just by the town border. "Ooooh, I knew I shouldn't have flown that long." He complained to himself out loud while rubbing each of his wings with the other. With goggles worn on his head, the bird walked into town, hoping to find a place he could rest if nowhere else. It didn't have to be fancy. A soft patch of grass where he was unlikely to be disturbed was more than enough. That's just what he found too. In a wide gap between two buildings, there was some tall grass that didn't seem very attended to. Nick walked in and allowed himself to fall into nature's pillow. He relaxed in this spot for a while, allowing his wings to recover from the soreness he felt.

Acro rushed about in a frenzy through the crowd. He couldn't find his new partner, Flint. He was with him only just a moment ago. Acro didn't like the crowds, it made him feel enclosed and trapped. He darted about around pokemon and under larger pokemon's legs. The archen was fast, nobody noticed him darting about. When he finally made it to the edge of the town he had been looking back in relief from the freedom of the crowd. He didn't notice the delibird lying there and tripped right over it! He fell onto the ground, accidentally eating some dirt in the process. He spit it out and turned to see just who's day he had ruined, "S-Sorry!" he exclaimed in a small voice. He was a White and Red bird carrying a sack that wore goggles, he didn't know what type of pokemon this species was. He didn't ask, thinking that it would be kind of rude to do so. He didn't want to make this pokemon angrier than it probably already was. He felt himself shrink a bit in fear of the new pokemon.

The bird enjoyed the rest he got from laying down, even if it was in the warmth of the sun. Most Pokemon would enjoy that bit, but not Nick. Still, it hardly ruined the moment. What -did- ruin the moment, however, was a Pokemon coming out of nowhere and tripping over him. "H-hey!" The bird cringed a little as part of the Archen landed on top of him. Nick's body would feel cold. This wasn't due to some illness, nor was it Acro's fault in any way. Nicholas' body just produced and surrounded itself with cold air. The Delibird looked over to Acro and got up as the other bird backed away, removing himself from being on top of Nick. Nick's expression was easy enough to read for the most part. He seemed more worried than angry. Sure, he might have been a little frustrated, but nothing hostile. "You should be more careful. That hurt you know." After having his moment to complain, Nicholas walked over to Acro a little more. "W-what about you? Are you ok?" The bird's head tilted as he waited for a response.

Acro was still a bit scared of the bird, he responded, "I-I'm fine!" he hadn't noticed that he had bruised his wing due to his attention being focused on the Delibird. He had noticed the the bird was cold, Acro assumed that he was an ice type. If the pokemon decided to battle him, he wouldn't be in a good situation being rock and flying type. He was also reminded of icicle woods, he shivered at the memories there, but he had fun there too. The delibird towered over him, being at least a foot taller than him. "I-I'm sorry" he repeated several times before shutting his trap. You're saying sorry too much! he thought to himself [i]Relax a bit, maybe he's friendly. After all he is in Grassveil, which means he's not a savage pokemon that live off of other pokemon in the woods and kill and eat the meat. He shivered again at the memory of hearing the pawinard Zeri eat a weedle. He banished the memories from his mind, now was not the time to think of that either! He stopped himself from shaking, gathering up his courage, and managed not to run as he waited to see what the Delibird would do.

Nick nodded to the little Pokemon. "Well, at least nobody's hurt then." He offered a still slightly sore wing to help Acro up. Rather he took it or not, Nicholas' actions would have little change. "Soooooo, why were you running so fast anyways? Was someone chasing you or something?" He asked with a wing to his beak as he pondered the possibilities. "Or maybe you're in a race, or were you trying to fly maybe? You do gotta run real fast for a good take off, but I don't see why you'd try and take off somewhere so crowded." He pondered a little more before he suddenly stuck a wing out for shaking. "I'm Nicholas by the way." Well, if anything about him was warm, it was the smile on his face. He already seemed completely over the accident that happened not even a minute ago.

"I-I'm Acro...I was looking for my partner, Flint. We're a rescue team. I can't fly." He spread his wings as if to prove his point, "My wings can't support my weight, so I have to run around like that to avoid getting stepped on." he mumbled. He accepted the wing though, he had calmed down slightly, seeing that the pokemon was friendly. His curiosity got the better of him though, "I'm sorry if this is rude, but what pokemon are you? I've never seen your kind before." he shuffled his feet a bit. He wanted to run, but at the same time he didn't. He was torn between what to do and what not to do. He hated it when he was indecisive like this.

"Looking for someone? I can help!" The bird jumped in the air and flapped his wings, resulting in a slow fall. Well, normally it would, but Nick's sore wings couldn't hold up and the flapping didn't last. He rubbed his wings again and looked back to Acro. "O-oh. I'm a Delibird. Sorry, normally I'd be able to fly and look for your friend, but right now my wings are kinda sore. I can still look with you though. What's Flint look like?"

"H-He's grey and he's kind of taller than me. He's a poochyena." Acro watched as the pokemon attempted to fly, but slowly fell, "I-it's fine. It must be really cool to fly around, like I said earlier, I can't fly. I have to wait until I evolve" he explained, kind of going off topic. He felt kind of guilty, thinking that he had made the Delibird's wings sore by falling on them. He tilted his head with concern and said, "If your wings are sore than you should rest though."

"Oh, a Poochyena. Never heard of that before. Sounds cool." The bird was excited and full of energy. As Acro reviewed his inability to fly and commented, Nicholas nodded his head. "IT IS! Flying through the air, feeling the wind, seeing everything from so far away, it's great!" Of course, the bird insisted he was ok. "No, I'm fine, promise! I can rest later. Right now we need to find your friend. Come on!" The bird ran off a small distance. If Acro didn't follow right away, he would be waited for as Nick would turn back to check.

(If we can't get Drawr to join for whatever reason, we'll just have them give up eventually.)

Acro felt a little jealous at the Delibird, he forgot it when the delibird began to run. He stayed close behind it, not really wanting to be alone. "Thank you!" he said. He looked at the crowd and cowered a bit though, he didn't want to go back in there. He was small, smaller than the average Archen. He could easily get stepped on in there, "Why does today have to be busier than normal?" he mumbled. He huffed and decided to let the delibird lead.

"Ah used to pass by here lots with my folks.". Flint said happily, calmly trotting through the street. He was telling Acro about himself for alittle bit now. It was five minutes into the conversation when he noticed something odd.
"Acro? You haven't said anything in awhile.". He said, turning around expecting to find his team member.
"Acro?"". Even though he'd been truding through the sea of pokemon for awhile now, he just realized. It was really crowded today. Really really really crowded. He frowned. From what he remembered, Acro didn't like crowds (or at least from his experience the bird showed a mild disdain for them).
"Acro? Acro?!?". He began to bark, searching through the large crowd.

Nicholas ran through the crowds at a fast pace, occasionally bumping into other Pokemon. "Excuse me. Sorry. Pardon me." The bird continued to run through. Soon, he reached somewhat of an opening. It was still crowded, but open enough that dodging was easier. However, Nick made the mistake of using this to pick up speed. This was fine at first, but soon, right in front of him was a grey canine like Pokemon Nicholas tried to stop himself, and would at least lighten the blow in the attempt. "LOOK OUT!" If Flint was quick enough, he would be able to avoid Nicholas and his rashness. Otherwise, there would be collision, and it would cause Nick to fall, and may do the same to Flint.

(I'm gonna wait for both Flint and Acro's response before posting again.)

Flint's ears twitched at the warning. Look out? But he was already outs-
That was the end of his thought process when a giant red and white crashed into him.
The poochyena rolled a few times before coming to a stop and landing on his back. He stared at the sky, feeling woozy. Funny, he swears could see stars, but it wasn't nighttime...

Acro rushed behind the bird, he was surprised to find that the delibird had ran into his partner, literally. He rushed over to the two, causing his tail to get stepped on and be knocked over by a large leg. He picked himself up and came to the small clearing were the two were in a pile. "Are you guys okay?" he asked. He couldn't help but let the concern show on his face.

Nick ran into Flint and ended up on top of him. Like with Acro, Flint may realize that Nicholas has a certain coldness to his body. Like the canine, Nick was also dizzy. Acro's call of concern was enough to snap him into reality. Before he could answer, however, he saw tho Pokemon below him. Nick's voice was panicked. "Oh, I'm so sorry. You ok? This is all my fault. Here, let me help." The Delibird ran to Flint's side and tried lifting him to his feet. Of course, Delibird weren't known for their strength, and for a good reason. They didn't really have much to be known for.
