Until the midnight comes

The moon was high over the town and the cool winter air cut into the black long cloak of Dante chilling him too his bones. He took a heavy breath it being clearly visable as a wisp of white mist. He brushed his blonde hair from his eyes. He saw himself in the window of a home in the shadow of the castle the moonlight lighting him enough and the glass enough to see. He looked so young to himself no where near the face of a 15 year old maybe ten or eleven if he was lucky. He was a very pretty boy though not dashing or handsome or anything a lady would quite like just pretty and pretty Dante aligned with the idea of a puppy. His eyes especially a very odd shade of blue far darker then any you would see like the color of blueberries.

Watching Dante jump down, Alex waited a few seconds before following behind him. Hope we're ready for this. As far as I can tell I'm sure we are, but still. A little doubt never hurt anybody. He figured as he landed on the table behind Dante and looked around at the now confused knights. He pulled his hand out from under his coat, unsheathing his weapon and holding it out in front of him. He closed his eyes and mumbled something under his breath before the blade began to crackle and spark, electricity coursing throughout the weapon. Alex swung it around a few times, a few sparks coming off of it with every swing of the weapon before returning it to a battle position, held in front of him.

The knights recovered quickly gathering up their weapons those that didn't have them on hand fled to the armory. Dante started to move he leaped over them all dancing on up raised blades and spears halberds even gauntlets of warriors shielding their faces, one of the knights would later describe it while on his death bed as Dante was a fairy god of war dancing over his equal of flowers: weapons. Eventually he landed on the floor and the crowd turned he was surrounded instantly.
A knight rushed him Dante's eyes responded, he saw every tension in his body every muscle atom, the tendons everything he saw everything about the knights body it was child play to step in and pound in on his side easily with his sword. But even for how sharp the sword was it wouldn't cut only pound like a club.

While Dante moved more gracefully and agile, Alex took a more brutish approach. He jumped off of the table in the other direction, and immediately began running towards the knights who were busy gathering up their weapons. He pointed his sword forward and began to swing it wildly at them, the electricity coursing through his blade heating it up to a point where it could make some cuts through a minimal amount of armor. This seemed to be just enough, as Alex shredded a few of the stray knights, slicing into them before turning to notice Dante, who had gotten himself surrounded. Having fun yet? You can handle yourself for the time being. He thought to himself and suddenly felt a pain in his forehead, the electricity no longer coursing. Crap, tired myself out. he thought, just in time to notice one of the knights charging him with a sword. Catching sight of this, Alex easily parried the attack and bashed him in the head with the hilt of his weapon, before swinging his blade vertically and hitting between the armor pieces, slicing his arm off.

His eyes started to play across the crowd every movement caught by them he started to turn and dodge each blade and club and mace and lance carefully and effortlessly the mental effect of seeing this man just easily overcome all of them. Rage started to play on their emotions they started to swing wild and unrefined. Dante took advantage they started to fall before his feet easily his sword shattering bones and breaking ribs and spines rather then cutting and slashing. Even his stabs didn't pierce the clothing or skin of the knights.
Eventually he returned to the table blood splattered lightly across his cloak from the coughing of the masses.
A knight probably of higher rank then most with a great sword in his hands shouted above the ranks of warriors. ' It's them! The Kingdom Killers!"
Kingdom Killers? that's interesting. Dante thought as she sheathed his sword the light of it was already dieing out he'd used up the power in that name.
" That's Dante the Unslaying!" Another knight screeched. " Cursed by the devil for seducing his daughter he can no longer send a man's soul to Heaven or Hell!"
Well they aren't wrong at least. he recongized like the last group he and Alex had beat.

Huh, looks like we have a name. Charming. Alex thought to himself as he listened to the claims the knights were making. Deciding to join in over on Dante's side, Alex used the table as a boost and jumped over next to Zash, landing next to him. Pointing his sword at the higher ranked knight, Alex rushed him and swung diagonally downward at him, attempting to clip him underneath the armor in his shoulder and slice him in two from that point. "Sorry to cut you short, but I hate speeches." He commented as he did so, mentally slapping himself for the horrible pun he had made.

Dante couldn't stop a grin from crossing his face at that the horrible puns of Alex strike again, Dante could swear they claimed more lives then any sword he had ever wielded. He unsheathed his sword again an idea forming in his head he didn't name this on instead he used his own skill with it which most would say was more than enough as he again danced in and out throughout the knights making his way to Alex and the high rank knight. " Give me the that great sword!' Dante yelled to Alex as he dodged a blade and beat the knight in the back of the head with the but of the hilt of his sword shattering his skull.

As Dante made his way towards him Alex kept parrying and counter attacking the high ranking knight, not having finished him in the first move. Ducking a swing, he heard Dante mention something about a great sword. "Right, got it. Great sword." Alex muttered as he lashed out with a kick at the knight's legs, knocking him off balance and swinging upwards with his blade, knocking the weapon out of his hands. Catching it with his left hand, he shoved it into Dante before dealing with the same knight again, who had pulled out a smaller sized sword now that his large one was lost. "There, now what are you going to do with it?" He questioned, hoping that he had a good plan, or at least a plan that wouldn't increase their risk of death.

Dante gripped the hilt of the blade he quickly got rid of his normal sword stabbing it into a near by knight not piercing him again but having enough force to indent his chest cavity to hold the sword. He launched himself over the battle field jumping atop soilders again. He extended a hand to Alex. " Take my hand!" He yelled to him.

Alex had been taking on a few other knights as Dante seemed to dance across the weapons and soldiers before coming to him. Nodding his head Alex kicked out at a knight, launching him back into a few others as he reached up and grabbed onto Dante, getting ready for whatever plan he had going on currently. Whatever it was, Alex was hoping it was a good one that didn't end in their untimely deaths.

They were above them all know gliding gracefully up onto the balcony they had entered from. The ungodly amount of grace Dante had made him seem more like an angel than a person. He now gripped the sword with both hands, this made him seem more human again that he needed two hands to hold such a mighty weapon. He whispered to the blade again. " Jack the gaint slayer." He christened the blade. With one swift swing of his sword the castle and knights in all were hit with a giant slash the roof fell slightly off kilter and the knights all fell terribly hurt most spines snapped in half. The blade fell from Dante's grasp smoke leaking from his hands he blew on them and whined. " ow ow ow ow ow ouch!"

"Congratulations ballerina, you really brought down the house." Alex deadpanned, looking at the carnage that had once been a normal gathering for the knights. Despite all the broken and slashed bodies that would make people usually feel saddened or upset, Alex simply felt neutral about it and enjoyed the adrenaline and joy of battle. Looking over at the weapon Dante had dropped, he realized that they had just destroyed and collapsed the roof. "Well this might draw some attention. Nothing too out of the ordinary though." He continued to say.

Dante blew on his still smoking hands. " Yeah, we should still be able to go quietly into the night." He agreed nodding. He slipped a hand into a pouch on his battle gear he was wearing and produced some bandaging. " Mind wrapping my hands?" He asked tossing Alex the wrappings. he started to walk towards him to receive first aid but froze as a noise filled the otherwise silent great hall.
Clap. Clap. Clap. Clap. "Very good gentleman, great work I must say." The voice was smooth and deep. Calming and soothing but Dante could hear the edge of age and experience underneath. He turned to see a man standing on the railing of the balcony they were now on. He wore a luxurious dark suit with a stripped black and red tie that did not belong in this time period at all. Along with a dark black cape with the inside a velvet red. Dante caught a logo on the cape, the letters LOL edged in it in golden lettering.

"Yeah, no probl-" Alex started to respond as he caught the bandages, until hearing the clapping noise. Instinctively grasping the handle of his blade once again he turned and looked at the new man who was now observing them from the railing. What? Who the heck is this guy? He wondered to himself as he kept his weapon by his side, calm but ready for the unexpected. "And who are you that we owe the pleasure of your compliments?" He asked the man, wary of him.

" I'm a bit after both of your times, I'm a phantom, a phantom of the opera, the opera to be exact." He answered he spoke highly like this was a very high position or title. Dante fell into place next to Alex wondering if an opera was like an advanced unit of soldiers maybe assassins by the name of phantom.
" What do you want with us?" Dante asked he didn't reach for a weapon or sword like Alex his hands would hinder him Alex would have to be the backbone of the group if this man turned violent.
" It's actually not me personally though I am slightly interested it';s actually a group of people I represent. We are known as the League of Legends and we have taken an interest in two young strapping gentleman that have taken down numerous empires spread across Europe, you." He said inclining his head to Dante. " Are quite famous with your past with the devil and your curse though I'm not entirely interesting in you, what peaks my interest more is you." He said pointing to Alex.
Dante felt a heavy pinch in his chest, this guy wasn't interested in him?! He was more interested in Alex no way impossible they were of equal stature no not even Dante could tell deep in his heart he thought he could truly take Alex and yet he wasn't worth a second look from this mysterious visitor.
"Your back ground is shrouded in mystery you could say you didn't exist until now." the way he said it suggested he was smiling under that dramatic mask of his.

Alex waited a few moments, listening to the man's story and everything he was saying. And then he started to chuckle at first, and then just laugh, recovering after a minute or so. "Alright, spare us the chaff and get to the point. Honestly making up some kind of story about being from a different time and adding in a word I don't know to try and argue your point is completely idiotic. Now, how about just getting to the part where you say what you want with us, because we're on a bit of a tight schedule." He responded, disbelieving all of his story. Plus, what does he mean he doesn't know where I came from? Probably some kind of easy excuse, since Dante's a bit more well known then I am. He thought to himself.
