Until the midnight comes

The moon was high over the town and the cool winter air cut into the black long cloak of Dante chilling him too his bones. He took a heavy breath it being clearly visable as a wisp of white mist. He brushed his blonde hair from his eyes. He saw himself in the window of a home in the shadow of the castle the moonlight lighting him enough and the glass enough to see. He looked so young to himself no where near the face of a 15 year old maybe ten or eleven if he was lucky. He was a very pretty boy though not dashing or handsome or anything a lady would quite like just pretty and pretty Dante aligned with the idea of a puppy. His eyes especially a very odd shade of blue far darker then any you would see like the color of blueberries.

In the night, Alex found himself walking around the area surrounding the castle. He had a longer sized red coat on himself, which one would think stood out during the nighttime but was a dull enough red color to not stand out too much. The 16 year old sat down against a wall a few feet away from the house Dante was currently in, taking in the cold temperatures and glancing up at the sky every so often. His brown eyes seemed to look curiously at the house for a few moments, before moving away and checking somewhere else, as if taking all the scenery in, or making sure nobody else was around. Either was a viable option.

Dante padded out onto the cobble stone road. " Alex." He called in an urgent whisper. " Come on we need to get to the castle before the moon is too high!" Dante urged him with him quickly as he started to start at a fast walk towards the castle. " Tonight is very important!" He reminded Alex.

"Oh come on, can't it wait?" Alex grumbled as he saw Dante walk past him, heading for the castle. He decided that it was best not to argue and got to his feet, following him and quickening his pace for a moment just to catch up with him as he looked up at the castle ahead.

" No it can't! The moons nearly half way to the top of the sky!" He snapped. The streets were easy to navigate childhood memories started to fill his thoughts as he pasted things like a bakery memories of the nice baker giving him cookies or of the tavern where the cavern keeper had let him stay and drink ale like the adults when Dante had been young. Now all washed in the blue white light from the strange glowing from the braziers of the town at night made Dante sad life as a child was simpler now he had worries like the ones eating at him tonight.

"Well no crap it can't, I was just hoping for the very small chance you said it could." Alex retorted as he easily kept up with Dante, taking notice of the various places they passed. Of course he wasn't feeling very nostalgic about it, what was going on that night was just another event in his life, nothing more, and when one's moving ahead one barely has time to look back.

They arrived at the castle walls, Dante crouched like a cat his whole body turned stiff and then he sprung up and flipped elegently in the air and still having a very good resemblance to a cat he landed feet first on the castle walls. HE grinned down at Alex smugly. " Beat that! and before midnight too!" He bragged.

Looking up at Dante, Alex shrugged ever so slightly and backed up a few steps away from the wall, and turned around so he wasn't facing it. Crouching down first he jumped into the air with a powerful kick off of the ground, attempting to perform a backflip but instead landing on his hands in a shaky handstand sort of position before quickly getting to his feet. "That was part of the plan." He commented quickly in order to hopefully avoid criticism.

"Was the shaking also part of the plan?" He asked raising an eyebrow. He started to saunter towards a watch tower, the guards were neglagent to not notice the two boys doing flips and tricks onto the castle property. He came to the door to an archer tower. He quickly shifted his cloak showing below a crossing of all straps and lengths along a leather sleeveless vest, each crossing strap securing a weapon. He took a knife from one pocket and looked up at the moon, he said something softly under his breath and the weapon glowed white blue he quickly slashed open the lock and opened the door.

"Absolutely. That was a bonus." Alex quickly responded as he followed along with the other boy. He glanced up at the guards and also noticed their negligence, flipping the bird at them for a moment before turning back to Dante, who was pulling a knife out from underneath his cloak. Not revealing what the inside of his looked like, Alex simply stuck his hand into his and rested it on his weapon as he waited for the door to open. Once it was opened, Alex poked his head in quickly, checking out what it looked like inside.

A vast dusty room greeted the duo, Dante scanned it quickly his eyes tinting a slight silvery, an ability indivual to himself his power of a visionary. " It's empty." Dante confirmed. " Wanna wait till midnight before heading into the main chamber?" He asked Alex not sure if they should wait the full time or just enter now and get it done with.

"Well, unless we want to be really delicate and specific with this I'd say we're already here, let's get this over with." Alex suggested, taking a step into the room and looking around with his head, waiting to see what Dante's response would be before before doing anything else.

Dante sheathed his knife and made his way to the tower's window. "Then let's go." He flung himself over the ledge and landed in his same feline manner in the courtyard keeping low he made his way to a low bearing window and slipped into the castle's interior. His hand played along the straps on his vest not unsheathing anything just twitching and messing with clasps and ties. " The knights should be in the mess hall celebrating their victory in battle let's drop in and raise Hell." He told Alex.

Alex followed suit, jumping off and doing a tuck-and-roll to avoid hurting himself as much as he normally would, using the momentum as he got to his feet to quickly head towards the interior without spending too much time in the open where he could be seen. Catching up with Dante, Alex once again grabbed the handle of his weapon without pulling it out from his coat, a sabre. Normally a sword like that was thought useless unless you were on horseback with it, but Alex had found that using it the right way on foot could give one a huge advantage. "Well, what are we waiting for?" He commented back at Dante, showing a slight smirk as he said it.

Dante lead them to a balcony over looking a massive mess hall. Knights of all different rank yelled and screams hollered and hooted, chatting and drinking ale and beer. Some wear in armor, some had just a chest piece or maybe they're boots most were without armor though . Dante felt it a clench in his stomach as he always did leaping down over a battle area the thrill of certain death was wonderful.
He landed in the middle of a center table knights fell off of their benches and seats scrabbling away yelling all sorts of things at him. The lights of the torches that lite the hall well suddenly had their light changed to the white blue color that seems to follow the duo. Dante unstrapped a sword and raised it to his lips. "Goliath" He whispered and the sword lit with it's blue white light matching the torches.
