Pokemon: Rajin Adventures

Killa Port was a nice ocean side town, one that many people loved. The sea air, friendly pokemon, and the trainer's school made it a desirable place to live. Aya Satoshi, better known as Grey, was a resident here. She'd be leaving soon though to start her journey to being the first champion of the Rajin League. First though, she had to wait for a foreign kid to come before getting her first pokemon. A pokedex too! She hoped Professor Maple had an awesome one waiting for her.

Miles stepped off the boat. He couldn't believe his journey was about to begin...and in a new region, no less. He was lucky to have been able to save that man...or else, he may never have gotten a chance like this. Miles looked at the new things he had never seen in unova...but then he looked down at a piece of paper. It had a few words he had written down on it. He was supposed to meet some girl here, and over the phone, the connection got messed up. All he cuaght was 'Girl" and "Grey". He figured Grey must be a name, becuase he didn't see ayone dressed in grey. He decided to look around, and began calling out "Grey?".

Grey looked to the source of the voice and recognised Miles from the picture Professor Maple had supplied before. Grey eagerly walked to him, waving and calling out. "Hey, I'm Aya Satoshi. Everybody calls me Grey though. I'll be showing you around the town on the way to the lab. C'mon!" Grey went off, pointing out places as she walked. "That's the Poke-Mart... That is the Trainer School my parents run next to the Pokemon Center... And there is the town battle field. We have all our pokemon battles there. Have any questions by the way?"

Miles looked at each place as they were pointed out by Grey. He had seen some before in Unova, but they seemed a bit different anyway. "Well, I guess I do have one, though it's a bit off topic...what's going to happen, exactly? In the pokemon league, I mean. I know the gym situation in Unova, but is there anything different here? Just give me a summary, please."

Grey stopped and turned to Miles. "The Rajin League works the same as the other leagues really. Gain eight badges and challenge the Elite Four. But there is no champion yet... until I beat the Elite Four and become the first of course! I know everything about pokemon there is to know and I'll beat the Rajin League! Of course, you are here for the same reason. I won't go easy on you though!"

Miles smiled. He liked Grey's hope. But...Miles had other plans. Grey wouldn't become Champion. Not if he became Champion first.

"Okay, that's good. So, shall we head down to the lab, then? I can't wait to start this adventure!"

Grey nodded and headed in the lab, one of the largest buildings in town. Inside were many aides were working all over at complicated machines and the professor waited ahead. "Professor! We're here!" Professor Maple smiled and got a case, meeting the two beginners half way. "Excellent, you two look ready to start your journeys. Lets just get to your pokemon, shall we?" He opened the case and took out two pokeballs, releasing the pokemon inside. A Shinx came out in front of Grey and she bent down to smile and hug it. In front of Miles was a Vulpix. It looked at the affectionate way Grey and Shinx greeted each other and looked away as if it was beneath her.

Miles looked at the pokemon in front of him. He had made sure to study all of the discovered pokemon before coming here, and it seemed this was a vulpix. He followed her line of site to Grey and the Shinx, and the way she reacted...oh, boy, that doesn't seem good.

Miles kneeled down to the vulpix. "Well, hello! I'm your new trainer, Miles! It's nice to meet ya!" Miles said hapilly, as he extended a hand. The vulpix looked at him and then sat down, seeming to ignore him. Miles frowned. "Well, that's not very nice. Come on, we're going to be partners now!" Miles then used his extended hand to rub the vulpix. It seemed to perk up slightly, but still showed little emotion to Miles. "I think I'll call you Amber. You like that?" The vulpix looked up a little, seeming to accept the name. "Then Amber it is!"

Miles looked up at Professor Maple. "Thank you again for the pokemon, professor. I think Amber and I will get along soon...hopefully..."

Miles then turned to Grey. "So, Grey? What do you think you'll call your new friend?"

Grey thought a bit before coming up with an idea. "How about Charles? You look like a Charles." The Shinx grinned and ran around Grey, clearly accepting it. Grey giggled and suddenly had an idea. "We should totally have a battle before leaving! At the field!" Professor Maple chuckled and held a pokedex out to each of them. "Take this at least. A pokedex. It will help me with research and help you as well." Grey nodded and took her's. "Race you there Miles!" Grey ran out, Charles right beside her.

Miles took the pokedex, and waved to the professor as he scooped up Amber and followed Grey. He was surprised that Grey was able to go so fast that she reached the field long before Miles. When he caught up with her, he stood at one side of the field. He took a look at his pokedex to see what Amber knew, and then put her down. "Ready for a battle, Amber?" Amber looked at Miles with a fierce look in her eyes, and she then looked towards the opponent, obviously itching for a battle. Miles was glad that Amber wouldn't have any trouble with battling. Miles then looked up, smiled at Grey and said "Are you ready?"

Grey already had her pokedex out when Miles got there and had a plan of attack. From her lessons at her parents' school, she knew at least two things. One was fire types like Amber could dish out damage, but weren't defensively sound. Another was electric types like Charles had high speed. It was time to battle! "Charles, use Leer and weaken Amber's defenses!" The little guy's eyes stared right into Amber's as he used the move on her.

Amber seemed to sweat a little at the Leer, and Miles knew her defense was lowered. He might as well even the playing field...

"Amber! Use Tail Whip and show Grey that Charles isn't the only one who can lower defense!"

Amber proceded to was her tail,making herself appear as cute as possible to Charles.

The tail whip did as Miles wanted, throwing Charles off from the out of place cuteness. Grey giggled lightly and pointed forward. "Charles, rush forward and Tackle Amber!" Charles growled and ran forward, leaping forward to slam into Amber hard.

Miles smiled. Perfect.

"Amber, use Ember! And hurry!"

Amber then bagan to spit fire at Charles just as he was nearing Amber to tackle her.

Grey gritted her teeth, but didn't waver. "Stay tough Charles! I believe in you!" The Shinx powered though despite the fire attack and still rammed into Amber hard to deal damage to her. Taking damage was not something a Vulpix could do well, especially physical damage after having lowered defenses. Charles clearly had an advantage and Grey wouldn't give it up. "Don't let up! Tackle again quickly and keep Amber off balance!" Charles growled and jumped back before jumping forward again to slam into Amber again.
