The Misadventures of the Tree Lurker and His Prey

It was dark. This much was obvious seeing as the setting is a pitch black forest with only random spots of sunlight able to seep through lighting the way. Something less obvious, however, was the Pokemon lurking atop a branch about mid-way up the tree. The only clue that indicated that the Pokemon was there was the occasional glint of weak sunlight against gold and the ever present green eyes that seemed to glow in the gloom.

Keyami was in a tree. It felt like a tree kind of day. Not a bush kind of day, that's for sure. It happened to also feel like a fantastic day for lurking and waiting for unsuspecting passerby. Ohh he was gonna prank these Pokemon SO hard. And it was going to be absolutely perfect.

Keyami whipped around wildly, leaping backwards quickly enough to get out of the way of the Mightyena's attack. He growled at the Pokemon before his claws began to glow a pale white. They elongated and he leaped towards the dark Pokemon, ready to latch on and claw.

The Roselia let out a cry as the water rushed over it and around it. It feebly raised one arm to whack Astrid upon the head before finally succumbing to the ebb and flow of the water pulse. After this it quickly fainted, going limp in the wrap attack.

Astrid sighed in relief as the Roselia fainted and quickly let go of it before slithering over to Keyami. He seemed to be using Fury Swipes on the Mightyena, and similarly to the Roselia, quickly fainted from the attack. It collapsed on the ground, causing a small puff of dust and leaves to blow upwards, taking a few moments to settle once again on the ground.

Astrid lay down on the ground for a moment, deciding to gather his strength back rather than move away just yet. He felt slightly dizzy because of the hit the Roselia had given him with it's rose, but hoped that he would be fine if he rested for a few moments.
"You okay Keyami?" he asked. He was pretty sure he would be since the Meowth was a higher level than himself.

Keyami was a bit shaky and could use some time to rest, but ultimately felt fine. After telling Astrid this he plopped himself down on the ground, laying down on his back. He stared up at the treetops before turning his head towards Astrid. "Heyyyy let's play a game~ Tell me a fact about anything in the world starting with the letter A. I'll do letter B and then you can do C, see?"

"Okay then..." blinked Astrid, still lying on his stomach. He would have rolled over, but it wouldn't have done much as his body was pretty much round.

"Uhm... Apples float because 25% of their volume is air," he stated eventually, "Your turn Keyami!"

Keyami thought for a moment, humming quietly as he thought. After a moment he replied with his fact. "Air-sacs make up for than 1/5th of the volume of a flying pokemon." The only reason he knew this was from the vast amount of time he spent in the library waiting for someone to come along for him to prank. After spending weeks and weeks of your life in a place filled to the brim with knowledge, you began to pick up some of it. "Your turn~"

"Uhm..." Astrid lay in thought for a moment, trying to come up with something beginning with the letter C. He racked his brains but to no avail. Knowledge wasn't exactly his strong point. He only knew a few little facts such as the one about Apples. The Dratini rolled from his position on his front to one on his back, his paler grey belly showing. He flicked the end of his tail but froze as he heard a telltale rustle in the bushes.
"Well that didn't last long," he whispered to Keyami, keeping his voice quiet in the hopes of keeping the Pokemon unaware of the fact that they knew it was there. Astrid casually rolled back onto his stomach so he was in a better position to rear up at attack if he needed to.
