The Princess and The Peasant - Page 3 Empty
PostSubject: The Princess and The Peasant   The Princess and The Peasant - Page 3 EmptySun Feb 15, 2015 5:25 am

First topic message reminder :

Victoria sighed, looking at the perfect territory she had claimed for her kingdom. She had been quite a distance outside of the boundaries, for her territory had been stolen from her by another tyrunt. She was too weak to fight it, and whenever she stepped foot into her territory that tyrunt would attack and driver her out with its massive strength. The darkly colored tyrunt could only stare, trying to figure out what to do. She had finally made it back to the Black Spear Mountain Range, but she had no knights. She had no allies, no subjects, no protection, no offense. She was just her, she could do nothing.

It was not too far off, perhaps on the other side of a mountain within the range, that a tropius was walking along. He was lost, hearing that tyrunts had lived within this area. He looked around for the princess, not daring to call her name in fear of attracting unwanted attention. He sighed, just what was he supposed to do? How was he to find her?

Victoria huffed as she glared at the tyrantrum, an icy layer coating her fangs as she waited for the king to attack. She watched as the king called the zorua out on his lie, "Imposter!" he had snarled, "Get off of my territory! I haven't even left!" Her eyes flicked towards the scraggy who looked between the two in confusion. Two more seeds landed into the hoods of the scraggy who had not yet been seeded. She made sure not to look at the seeds as they dropped, not desiring to give it away.

The tyrantrum gave a roar as he noticed his own men didn't believe him, Veriq watched as the tyrantrum charged towards the two. He hesitated, trying to think on whether or not he should activate the leech seed. He decided to wait, in case the scraggy put two and two together about the tyrantrum being attacked made him the real one. However the tyrantrum just kept getting closer and closer to the princess and her new friend, that he forced himself to activate it, not wishing to have the one he had been searching so long for be torn to bits.

Firseir thought quick as the enemy charged them. If all else failed, he could make himself look like Victoria again and just run around with her, confusing the tyrantrum until it dropped from the leech seed. But for now, he wanted to avoid doing that as it would give him away. He noticed the leech seed taking effect, but wondered if that could even come close to stopping the giant. "Move." he whispered to Victoria from under his illusion before taking his own advice and moving to the side to avoid the raging dinosaur, in case he managed to get to them.

Vines burst from the seed of the Tyrantrum, and vines quickly wrapped around the tyrantrum and entangled it in the green ropes. The king gave a surprised bellow as his legs began to trip up, and fell just in front of Victoria, she had not moved from the spot, and she was practically nose to nose with the king now. The king glared at her, looking into her eyes before its eyes widened, recognizing the tyrunt.

"Long Live the King, B*tch" Victoria spoke with a sly smile, the smirk on her face enraging the Tyrantrum.

"KILL THEM! KILL THEM! KILL THEM!" The tyrantrum roared, but the scraggies refused to budge, still not knowing who was who.

Veriq stayed in the air, flapping his wings harshly and sending a Leaf Storm down to assault the Tyrantrum's body. The tyrantrum roared in pain, giving Veriq a feeling of satisfaction. He dove down and landed on the ground, "Hail to the king!" he demanded, almost saying princess, but managed to not trip up and ruin it for everyone.

The plan was working amazingly well so far. Firseir refused to let himself celebrate early, though. He still had to try to win the trust of the scraggies. Turning to face them and approaching the four, the illusion taking confident and calm steps, he spoke once again. "As you can see, the impostor has been defeated. Now, would you all like to greet the new recruits?" he spoke, continuing with his fake voice despite the strain on his voice box starting to really hurt. He really hoped this would be over soon so he could stop with this difficult act.

Once the tyrantrum had heard the words "Defeated" it was thrown into a furious rage. The tyrantrum tore at the vines that entangled it, freeing itself until it was mobile. The tyrantrum gave a roar, causing Victoria to flee before she was snapped up in his jaws. He rose to his feet, struggling slightly as he had no assistance from his tiny arms, before giving a loud bellow in the direction of Firseir, Victoria recognized it as a bit of a Roar of Challenge.
The tyrunt neared the zorua, "He's challenging you to a one on one..." she mumbled to him.

Veriq watched uneasily as the tyrantrum broke free of some vines, the leech seed still taking effect as it attempted to challenge the zorua to a battle. He looked to the scraggies and wondered if they would be affected by this. What would the zorua do? If he accepted it he was sure to lose, if he denied it then that might look odd to the scraggies, depending on how he worded it however...

Firseir froze under his illusion as the tyrantrum broke free of its captivity and rose to its feet. He had NOT expected this. On top of that, according to Victoria, he was being challenged to a one on one!? There was absolutely no way he could win! He had to stop this without actually fighting the tyrantrum. "I think you've had enough already. Now get out of here, you don't have any hope of winning." he bluffed, though he didn't really expect this to work. He just wanted to stall for time as he came up with a plan.

The little zorua needed some way to beat this tyrantrum without even being touched. He couldn't use his moves either other than copying one of the real tyrantrum's moves, or else he'd risk being found out. It would be hard to beat the thing even if they'd all teamed up on it, how in the world was he supposed to win alone without being hit or using his own moves? The only thing he had over this enemy was that he was calm and smart, it clearly wasn't. If he could send it into enough of a rage, maybe he could get it to blindly charge him and run over a cliff side.

The tyrantrum charged forward, giving a roar as it neared the opposing tyrantrum. It grew closer...and closer...and closer...until it found itself hurtling off of a cliff.

Victoria laughed as the zorua sidestepped, the cliffside behind him being the end of the tyrantrum, "Bloody idiot!" she huffed. She looked to the scraggies, they blinked in surprise. She knew that they would be no problem to handle compared to the threat that was now gone.

"You work for me now," She huffed, her nostrils flaring as she glared at the Scraggy menacingly, asserting her authority. The scraggies flinched, not realizing they had safety in numbers, and nodded rapidly, "Now SCRAM!" she ordered, the scraggy tripping over each other to flee, not caring that they had just abandoned what they had thought to be their leader.

Veriq looked to the princess as she ordered the scraggy around. A concerned thought rose to his mind, what if this was what the vision warned him of? She was rather stern with the scraggy, what if this was the beginning? He cleared his throat, catching the princess's attention, but saying nothing as she questioned him on what the noise had been about.

Just as Firseir had figured, the tyrantrum wasn't interested in standing down. But, with great relief to the zorua, he was able to get out of the way of the big dinosaur. Even better, it went over the edge of the cliff like he'd hoped! It was perfect. After taking a moment to breathe, his panic and the straining voice having worn him out, he turned his attention to Victoria, who was busy scaring the scraggies off. When they were out of sight, he let his illusion fall, the familiar band of rainbow light falling over it and leaving behind nothing but the zorua's true form. "We did it!", he yipped.

The tyrunt huffed, a grin on her face as the feeling of victory swelled within her. She did not do much herself, all of the work belonging to Firseir, but she still felt as if she had done the work by bringing him with her. The tyrunt looked to the zorua, "Thank you," she thought for a moment, falling silent before speaking once more, "You can be a Spy for my Kingdom. Your job is fairly simple, especially with that amazing ability of yours. Just spy on any foes I might come across and find their secrets!" she smiled, welcoming the zorua to her kingdom with a job.
"Since you just got rid of the only one, your job is even easier now as well!"

Veriq made his way towards the two, a bit uneasy about giving this stranger they barely knew such a trust requiring position. He would have liked it better if he had been something simpler, maybe a jester? A janitor? Despite his opposing thoughts to the princess, he remained silent. She was royalty, she knew better when it came to this kind of stuff. If not, then she would have to learn from her mistakes to become better in the future.

Firseir gave a big, happy grin at the tyrunt's offer.  "Thank you, thank you!", he joyously exclaimed in excitement.
He was a part of something now!  A KINGDOM!  Sure, it seemed kind of tiny and he got the feeling Veriq wasn't overly fond of him, but those were just things that would surely get better in the future.  For now, he was focusing on the good instead of the bad. Not only was he officially a part of this kingdom, but he was given a job he LIKED.  Something he was good at and did for fun anyways.  It was perfect!  He wondered how this day could get any better. Maybe Veriq would openly approve of him being there? That was the only thing he could think of at the moment, though he understood if the tropius didn't trust him much.

The tyrunt nodded as the zorua thanked her, smiling still, "There's going to be a lot of work that needs to be done. Those scraggy, if they still listen to me when we find them, should be useful in helping with construction for something like dens. It rains heavily here, so someplace dry to sleep would likely be useful."
She got to planning almost immediately, thinking about what she would need, when she would need it, and how to get it. The construction job was good to go, she had a strategist, and now she just needed some powerful knights. Knights to protect the citizens for her while she was away. She knew that they were probably capable of defending themselves, but backup was always a good plan.

Veriq remained silent, still brooding over the vision he had seen, which had actually been a memory. He seemed to be rather lost in thought, as he struggled to remember what the king would say about all this. What about the queen? Was she just going to completely ignore her parents? He figured he would just wait for another messenger to come, he would play along with the princess's little game for now, and wait for someone to come pick them up and bring them back to the kingdom.

Firseir nodded in response to the tyrunt's plan. He wasn't much of a planner himself, so even if he wanted to protest, he wasn't in much of a place to do so. Besides, he thought it sounded like a great idea. First order of business - shelter. It wouldn't be much of a kingdom without established homes. Though he wondered if he could be any help on this particular note. He wasn't very strong, being just a little zorua, so there wasn't much he could do for carrying supplies. He could dig for underground dens, but even then he wasn't a very fast digger. Either way, he'd just have to do his best to do what Victoria asked of him.

"Why are you guys starting a kingdom, anyways?", he questioned the two, as he was curious of their motives.

Veriq listened closely, as he caught the words of the Zorua asking the princess why she wanted to start up a kingdom. He was interested himself, seeing as she was the reason he was not returning to the king. The living plant looked to Victoria, waiting for her answer eagerly as she grinned and spoke.

"Well, I want to do something great! My mother and father said I should go off and start my own kingdom anyways, I know for a fact that they'll surely be proud once they find out i have my own kingdom started up," she puffed her chest our slightly, standing taller with pride at her goals. Her eyes practically burned with ambition, which worried Veriq. She did not see the concerned look in Veriq however, seeing as she was busy talking to the zorua.

Firseir giggled at the tyrunt's reasoning, not because he found it funny, but because he liked it. "Then I'm gonna help you as much as I can, because I like you and this whole kingdom thing!", he replied happily.
If this little band of nomads actually turned into a full-fledged kingdom, wouldn't that be amazing? The zorua couldn't help but think about it. This alone was more than enough to make him want to help Victoria. If this kingdom succeeded, he wanted to be a part of it. Especially since she was his friend by all means as far as he was concerned, so of course he wanted to help her all he could in completing such a great goal!

Victoria nodded, "we're going to need all the help we can get!" she chuckled, "C'mon, I'll show you where I used to stay before that jerk threw me out," she motioned for them to follow. She was on her way without waiting for an answer, expecting them to follow her orders. Her tail wagged as she walked, and her feet stomped the ground. She seemed to walk a bit taller now that she had regained her kingdom's territory. Now they needed to just collect a Kingdom, which would definitely prove to be a rather difficult task.

Veriq watched the two move along, sighing. So, the king and queen had given her permission to do this? Perhaps they would change their minds and send someone to fetch her? Either way, his current duty was to stay with the princess, he would stay here, and assist her until he could no more. That was his duty, and perhaps he could even work on regaining his memory if possible...who knew?
