First topic message reminder :

Wolfgang, or Wolf, which he always went by, stood on the top of a lone office building in New York City. It was almost sundown, but the streets were still packed with cars and people running along the sidewalks. It was a chilly outside, but Wolf liked it that way, even though he was in a T-Shirt. He breathed out leaning over the small wall of the rooftop, scanning around. He was anxious, as he always was on these occasions. He turned around and leaned his back against the wall then, watching the door that lead to their meeting spot.

Wolf leaned back a bit when Doa started to prime his attack. He raised his hand and waved it in front of him in a wide curve. A swirling drift of snow began to form in front of him remaining suspensded in the air as it intenseified. Soon Wolf put both of his hands into the motion, until him and Doa seemed to be charging both of their attacks, collecting energy. Though he wasn't sure how it'd play out, seeing as this was a massive dragon and he being a man wearing.. not exactly armor grade clothing. But then hearing voices from his left he got startled thinking it was Henry. Instead of beaming his attack right at Doa, he moved his hands to fire it towards the two that just arrived. But because of the power of the cloud, it was only really meant to remain stationary then be fired. So as he turned, it dispanded and shot out, spreading out in a massive plume going towards... everyone.

Sophie continued to hover in the air, her path now blocked by the flame Henry had created. "Son of a half pint snowflake..." she muttered to herself. Of all the mages to pickpocket it would be a fire one. Just her luck of course. She turned back to Henry and crossed her arms, her jaws parting to reply to his offer when another pair of mages appeared on the roof. She was positioned slightly behind and above the pair and so seemingly went unnoticed by them. Sophie remained quiet, deciding to listen to this no-nonsense woman -until Wolf's snowbomb was released.

Seeing the plume before it reached her, Sophie quickly tucked her shephard's crook under her arm and held her hands out in front of her. Just as the snow reached her, she closed her eyes, concentrating on maneuvering the snow around herself, keeping herself out of harm's way.

Doa was completely oblivious to the attack Wolf was launching, he released his white hot fire and it vaporized his ice attack headed in Doa's general direct even the if they weren't hit the heat from Doa's breath turn them to steam it barreled right threw headed on it's way to Wolf.

Henry turned as the two new arrival came his anger was steadily raising. So many new arrivals and this woman has the nerve to ask for our names as opposed to introducing herself. Doa's blasted had gotten rid of the ice coming towards him so he was free to reply." Who might you be?" Henry asked instead of answering her.

"Call it." The young boy stated. He put his hands out in front of him, and from the space between his two hands a flat sheet of blue light with what appeared to be a low-frequency wave going through it spread out to a length of about ten feet in front of the boy. The snow bomb's force couldn't even put a scratch in the strudy shield of light. When the danger passed, the boy put his hands down and the shield vanished.

Mia tapped her foot a little as she waited for a response from Henry. She had failed to hear Henry as she had not yet removed her noise-cancelling headphones. She suddenly realized both her mistakes and reacted by saying, "I'm sorry, I almost forgot to introduce myself. My name is Mia Parker; the name I took after I became an orphan." She removed the headphones promptly after this.

"And I am Miss Mia's student, Lucius. It would almost be a pleasure to meet you, but then again, putting guests in harm's way doesn't exactly seem like a very hospitable greeting." the eight-year-old boy commented plainly, his facial expression calm and his emotions well hidden. There was, however, a faint glimmer of a smirk in his eyes.

Even though he said this, however, he couldn't help but notice the girl who was floating around in the breeze. She seemed like a decent enough person from afar, and seeing as Lucius wasn't all too quick to take to people, or even like them for that matter, that was definitely saying something. "Shame you can't be more like the blonde girl there. She's probably way more courteous a person than yourself."

Wolf opened his eyes, upon which he learned two things. One, no one had gotten hurt, which was good(excluding Doa). Two, Doa was still trying to kill him. He barely flung himself to the side as the fire singed the air in front of him and exploded against the small guide wall. Wolf cursed under his breath. Not only was everyone on the street below (including the cops) were sure to have seen the fire cascade off the side of the office building, but was literally the equivalent of a flare to every Gale within a 5 mile radius. Wolf scrambled back up and dug one of his hands into his pockets. Alright, two on one isn't working out. He decided.

Sophie was quite content to spectate from the air, watching as the older female and the wealthy man had a rather civil conversation. The fire mage didn't seem to be concentrating as much on the flames he had used to stop her flying away and so it looked like she could make an easy escape, however after all this fiery magic, there were sure to attract whatever Gales were in the area.
Sophie shivered at the thought of the Gales, thanking her lucky stars that she hadn't encountered one in the past three an a half years.

Brought out of her thoughts by the sound of a younger voice, Sophie looked down. She blinked, before grinning widely again.
"Why thank you!" she grinned, her happier demeanor returning quite suddenly, "Though I do think we -as in all of us- should be getting out of here rather than engaging in pleasant conversation. Huge plumes of fire don't go unnoticed in New York City."

This is not how I wanted this to progress Henry thought, he glared at Mia first of all he did not like her the kid that she had brought along was annoying but at least he was a little silver tongued that could be respect but she she was just a very annoying obstacle. Thankfully the boy now distracting the girl he wouldn't need to worry of either of them for the moment he turned his attention to Wolf ignoring the girls warning and the boy's insult, the older girls introduction at that. He raised his hands his fire bow and arrow reappeared. " Doa lend me some thrust. " He said and a rumbling from Doa's stomach agreed he let the arrow fly at Wolf and Doa spat a smaller more densely packed but equally as powerful as his attack before after it adding to the fire's destructive power that had incinerated the guide wall.

An Unconventional Reunion - Page 2 Empty
PostSubject: Re: An Unconventional Reunion   An Unconventional Reunion - Page 2 EmptyThu Apr 18, 2013 3:59 am

"So he's going to ignore me." Mia thought to herself. She didn't like this man; not one itty-bitty bit. He made her a feel a strange mixture of both utter disgust and burning rage; accompanied by just a strong feeling of anxiety she just couldn't shake. That was why, as Henry shot his arrow, Mia suddenly tossed two spinning balls of magic into the air. As they fell from the sky, they began to matrix and change shape, and when Mia caught them they had fully turned into two glock-style handguns; the one she had in her right hand having a white dragon printed on it and the one in her left a black dragon. The strange thing was, this magic seemed to have come out of nowhere because Mia lacked a visible Object of Power.

*Bang Bang*

Lucius watched his teacher's two bullets, one made of shadows and one made of light, race towards the arrow Henry had shot. He honestly hadn't even seen her draw her weapons it had happened so fast, but then again he rarely ever did. Mia was the fastest shot he had ever known; quick enough to shoot a hummingbird through both wings with one bullet. She had dealt with many gangs and thugs, so she had plenty of experience with speed shooting. Sadly, Lucius knew her bullets couldn't actually stop the arrow with the strength it had behind it, but he doubted that was his teacher's goal anyways. She was most likely trying to knock the arrow off course somewhat or slow it down just a tad to give Wolf time to react.

Lucius suddenly found himself looking up at the blonde girl again. She was definitely different; just like his teacher. He found most humans and mages alike to be annoying, tiresome, and frequently quite dense, but the mannerisms and ways in which she carried herself were very... unique.

"You don't have to worry." Lucius commented up to her, crossing his arms against his chest. "If need be, my teacher can at least give us all a head start on any two-bit law enforcer or ugly old bear creature that comes here. We could slip away in the blink of an eye if we really had to."

Wolf's left arm became in case in a large, solid gauntlet and he raised it above his head. He finally got a hold on his coin when the bow hit his forearm. He suprisingly didn't lose his footing, he only slid back one or two feet. That and a smoldering hole was left in his makeshift claw. The rest shattered onceh e willed it to though, he wouldn't need it anymore. Quickly he yanked the coin out and held it tight. Once he flicked it up into the air it remianed suspended there. One flash of rather blinding light, and in place of the coin sat an eight foot tall, gray and blue griffin. It's wings spanded out with a wing span of around 15 feet, with dull feathers coating every inch of them. Coincidentally, in place of talons the beast had animalistic paws and thick, furred legs. However did retain the usual eagle head, also covered with navy blue feathers, whiched puffed up for a brief moment upon it's arrival. "Huh. Looks like Czar put on a few pounds too." With that comment his summon squalks in displeasure. "Ah I'm kidding bud." He patted him. "Now let's fight on even terms."

An Unconventional Reunion - Page 2 Empty
PostSubject: Re: An Unconventional Reunion   An Unconventional Reunion - Page 2 EmptyThu Apr 18, 2013 10:44 pm

Sophie twirled her frost covered shepherd's crook around, unwilling to get involved in a fight that would inevitably end in death because these two were too absorbed in their conflict to realise that by continuing they were only going to attract more and more trouble.

"I'd rather not take that chance..." she blinked, her blue eyes glancing down at the younger boy. He seemed to keep staring at her for some reason. Sophie would have asked him why, if not for the ear splitting screech that cut through the area before she could say anything. Her eyes widened at the sound and she visibly froze. It was one she hadn't heard for over three years now, but the reality of how close the Gales now were was actually beginning to scare her.

"Guys. I... I think we should all be moving... Like... now," she called out, trying to get the other four mages to move too. She didn't want to stick around to let the Gales find her, and yet she didn't want to leave these other people to the Gales' non-existent mercy either.

PostSubject: Re: An Unconventional Reunion   An Unconventional Reunion - Page 2 EmptyThu Apr 18, 2013 11:21 pm

Henry was surprised that Wolf had managed to stop his arrow with just his ice gauntlet that had certainly been unexpected. Doa stretched out uncoiling to his full length as Czar finally emerged. "Finally someone for me to play with." Doa said please as he seemed to brake into a grin or what looked like a grin it was kind of impossible to tell by his dragon face.
Henry suddenly felt a flash back, his room back when he and Wolf had been just kid. Himself reaching under his bed taking out a pistol sleek metal loaded with just one bullet, pulling his ring onto his finger he leap out the window hiding the jacket in his jacket. He saw Wolf surrounded by a hazy film he saw threw his eyes Henry standing surrounded by flames and mini suns just out of his reach floating. He remember Wolf on his knees Henry placing a gun to his Wolf's forehead.
"Now let's fight on even terms."
He was snapped from his vision by that one line he locked eyes with Wolf his bow disappearing his hands sliding to his tie fixing it again. Then his mood was spoiled the air splitting wail of the Gale filled the air. NO! I wanted a fight I wanted it to be fair to mean something Suddenly rage took Henry and flames rose from all around him making a seen that nearly looked like Hell. ' I'm sorry but our party has been terribly spoiled, I'll call for you again Wolf." He said his tone dark and filled with venom. He turned and Doa curled around to his finger he turned and proceeded to walk off the side of the building.

An Unconventional Reunion - Page 2 Empty
PostSubject: Re: An Unconventional Reunion   An Unconventional Reunion - Page 2 EmptyFri Apr 19, 2013 1:01 am

"Bother." Lucius spoke at the sound of the wail. He played with his tuning fork absent-mindedly; as if the Gales' appearence wasn't phasing him very much at all. He shrugged slightly. "Pity, really. Clean-up duty isn't exactly very much fun. Maybe we could make this a little more interesting...?" He mused, looking first in Sophie's direction and then over to Mia. His facial expression remained constant, but his eyes retained a glimmer of curiosity.

Mia's face hardened as the Gales arrived, but what made it even worse was when Henry walked right off the edge of the building. He was just going to leave them to clean up the mess they had all pretty much started; himself included. She had half a mind to go pump that guy's brain full of bullets.

Inside, she began to feel twice as restless as she had already been feeling. Two other beings connected to hers had picked up on her new emotion change and were now emulating the same emotion; pushing her harder and harder to act on her feelings.

"Not now; not yet. I've seen what he can do and you've seen through me. There's other things to be done." she whispered; focusing inside herself as hard as possible. The emotions from the other two beings swirling inside her then shifted gears, just begging to be let out to fight. Mia thought for a second, but finally she reverted her guns to their original form; the light creeping back up her right arm and the shadows creeping up her left. She was well ahead of the two beings within her; she had already been planning on calling for their assistance.

"Oh, so you're summoning?" Lucius asked, sounding genuinely suprised and even the slightest bit confused. "I haven't seen you summon for years... Not since the first year we met, to be exact." he mused thoughtfully.

The second Mia lost the jacket altogether (promptly tying it around her waist for convenience), the tattoos were blatantly obvious. Each of her arms was practically one big tattoo; the left being a mainly a black dragon curling it's head around the yin symbol and the right a white dragon curling it's head around the yang symbol. There were also a good number of ruins, symbols, and the likewise scattered around in a suprisingly intracate pattern on both arms. The color of the symbols, ruins, ect. was the same as the dragon which they shared an arm with.

Mia crossed her arms in a "X"-shape in front of her face and began whispering a long string of an incantation in a different language; presumably from a foreign place and/or ancient time. As she whispered, the dragons and their respective symbol began to glow with their corresponding power, and gently they began to literally rise up and off her arms while still staying in the position they had started in. They moved ever-so gracefully, as if they were a fluid.

The final syllable that came out of Mia's mouth echoed ominously throughout the area, despite her whispering, and the dragons suddenly shot up into the sky. Two huge orbs, one of dark energy and one of light energy, formed where they finally stopped and remained there for a moment. Then, cracks began to form in them and they split open, revealing two full-size dragons; one white (and practically glowing with bioluminescence) and one black (and emitting a purple-lined black aura). While they could both perch on the roof of the building at one time, only the white touched down; the black one hovering silently above.

"It has been quite the passing of time since you last summoned us, commander. It is our pleasure to finally fight by your side again, my Commander." The white dragon said, bowing it's head in reverence and respect. The other dragon had been bowing its head as well, and now roared in agreement.

"Same. I wish it didn't have to be this way, but I can't exactly have two large dragons around with me in a city like New York." Mia commented, stroking the scales end of his large nose fondly. She then shook her head, realizing that she was getting off track. "There's no time now, though. We have Gale trouble."

The white dragon immediately snapped into alert and aggression mode; however Mia did not board him. She hopped lightly off the edge of the roof and was caught by Yin, the black dragon.

Lucius caught the hint and made his way over to Yang, the white dragon. While he preferred the calmer yet more intimidating mannerisms of the other dragon, it was more to his benefit to stay near an unlimited source of the energy waves he could manipulate. Creating them on his own took more magic, so it was more simple to just draw in and alter what was in his surrounding environment. With a beat of his huge wings, Yang lifted into the air. He glanced at Sophie again, waiting to see what she would do.

Wolf and Czar both jumped a bit from the sound of that echoing battle call. He hesitated though, watching Henry until he dissapeared. I'll call for you again Wolf...
Then he remembered, one problem at a time. "Alright Czar, we need to-" then at pack of a bakers dozen of ravenous Gales completely hopped from who knows how far onto the rooftop. Each at least 8 feet tall, with nails the length of butcher knives and teeth sharper. "New plan. Czar," The griffin looked down to Wolf, "Kill them all." Czar was happy to oblige. He bounded forward, and Gales never backing down a fight, a few met him half way. A split second later they were pinned to the ground being gored by Czar. The rest split up, going for whichever mage they thought tasted best. Six made a B-line towards Wolf. First, he had to go with the cliche. An arsenals worth of snowballs fired right into the six, but these weren't any snowballs. these were Wolf-grade snowballs. Not only did they reach speeds of 50 miles per hour, they were infused with slush making them hard as a rock.

An Unconventional Reunion - Page 2 Empty
PostSubject: Re: An Unconventional Reunion   An Unconventional Reunion - Page 2 EmptyFri Apr 19, 2013 3:48 pm

Now that the flame wielding mage had left them with his mess and hopped off the side of the building, Sophie gently lowered herself until she touched down on the rooftop. She stood shoeless, glancing at Mia as the older female took her jacket off, revealing her array of tattoos. Trying to ignore the sounds of the Gales as they drew nearer, she began to almost skate across the ground. She skillfully generated ice under her feet only for it to melt once she moved again. As she did this, she traced patterns into the ground with her shepherd's crook. The lines glowed faintly with a pale blue light before dimming and blending in with the grey concrete of the rooftop.

Sophie's skating looked almost like an elegant dance, and it was strangely flowing despite her usual mischievous personality. The sudden air of grace to her movements felt almost eerie when compared to the cheeky responses she had made earlier.

Whilst tracing icy symbols into the ground, Sophie glanced up, watching Mia as she summoned her two dragons. She had to admit she was intrigued, but she was also busy trying not to let her fear get a hold of her. It was then that she realised the young boy was staring at her again. Turning back to her work, she skidded to a halt, spinning around before tapping the wooden crook to the ground. As she did so, the symbols glowed again, revealing an intricate pattern that surrounded her, leaving an empty space in the middle where she currently stood. The pattern consisted of multiple circles and lines, some connected, others standing alone.

The glow soon settled down again, just before the Gales themselves leaped up onto the rooftop. Sophie closed her eyes for a moment, trying to get her nerves under control. She didn't need to fear these beasts, she was powerful now that she knew how to use her magic properly. She could defeat them if she wanted to... she could stop anything like that from ever happening again.
Sophie opened her eyes, only to see some of the white creatures advancing. She shivered as a few of them drew closer to her. Sophie watched as one of them dashed towards her, surprising her with it's sudden movement. However the Gale did not get far before it caught itself in Sophie's trap. Stepping foot in one of the many hidden circles, an array of sharp icicles erupted from the ground, spearing the Gale and stopping it in it's tracks. The other Gales suddenly advanced quickly, some of them spearing themselves much like the first, but others -smarter ones- used the trapped of their group, climbing over the already speared Gales to reach Sophie.

Sophie took a small step backwards, backing away from the Gales as they attempted to traverse her intricate trap. They were close now and though the logical thing for Sophie to do would be to fly away, she wasn't thinking straight. Just the sight of the fearsome white beasts was enough to remind her of that fateful night three and a half years ago. She could remember each scarlet drop of blood, spattered across the walls of her home...
Sophie slowly took another step back, edging towards the far side of the inner area of her circular trap.
Her blue eyes were wide as she remembered the contorted, mangled bodies of her parents and the deep, bloody gashes that covered them. She found herself unable to move as one of the Gales finally reached the inner circle. She wanted to run, to fly away and never get this close to a Gale again, but her terror and fear froze her in place, hindering her thought processes. All she could do was stare as the Gale leaped.

An Unconventional Reunion - Page 2 Empty
PostSubject: Re: An Unconventional Reunion   An Unconventional Reunion - Page 2 EmptySat Apr 20, 2013 12:54 am

Although he was trying to keep focused on the fight with the Gales, Lucius was mesmerized as Sophie skated around the top of the building. She just looked so graceful and free, like a little wisp of wind skating around on that concrete rooftop. He noted quietly to himself that she almost looked like a little wisp of winter air; dancing around the dormant earth as much as it desired while everything slept. He barely even noticed when the Gales started attacking Yang, who shot laser beams of white light at them to fend them off. He was just too distracted by the little spectacle taking place on the roof below him. Watching her made him actually want to join in on the fun; a reaction mostly sparked by the child part of him (that somehow was still there) that just wanted to play. He wondered to himself why he was so transfixed and even moved by Sophie's skating. Perhaps his little eight-year-old mind was just drawn to Sophie like other eight-year-old minds would be attracted to a butterfly. Maybe it was something different.

He glared at the Gales descending on her. How uncouth, attacking a lone girl in a group like that. Once he saw the first Gale get skewered, however; he immediately noticed the flaw in her trap, his perceptive trait showing. "Sophie!" He called, and before anything could be done to stop him he jumped right off of Yang's back.

"Lucius, what are you..." Mia called to her student, turning her head around to allow her to see her student. All she caught was a glimpse of him "falling" off of Yang's back. "LUCIUS?!?" Mia shouted in a panic as she directed Yin to turn and fly to him, but just then she was sideswiped by a sudden Gale and was knocked over herself, clinging to Yin as he corrected himself from a nose-dive to a steady glide. The Gale immediately started attacking her head on the second Yon had corrected, leaving Mia unable to get to Lucius. "DAMMIT!!!!" she fumed inside her head.

For a moment, Lucius was still registering in his mind that he was free-falling. The feeling as his body went weightless was exhilarating to the eight-year-old, but he quickly remembered what he was doing in the first place and reached down the front of his white hoodie. He drew out his silver-and-black cross, somehow summoning the raw strength to yank it off his neck by snapping the chain.

He said a few words in a language alien to this world, causing it to start drawing in every wave possible from the atmosphere around him. Visible light spectrum, Ultraviolet waves, radio waves, infrared, x-rays, microwaves, cosmic radiation, sound waves, pretty much everything was drawn into the cross, which was behaving much like a black hole. It drew in the waves so completely that it looked like there was a tongue of pitch-black fire defending towards earth.

As it approached the building, a pair of wings that were black as night burst forth from the flame. The flame directed itself precisely above the Gail; steadily approaching as it hurtled towards the rooftop.

As the Gale leaped at Sophie, all of the sound in the area suddenly ceased and the atmosphere got darker and darker; despite the fact that it was still daytime. The Gales looked perplexed by the sudden development, and time almost seems d to slow down as the leaping Gale was also struck by the new development and entered a short moment of vulnerability.

Huge mistake.

The last movement the leaping Gale would ever make was twitching it's ears up as a low sound suddenly came out of the silence. It started out as a low hum, then ceased. Another huge bass drop, like a slightly scaled-down version of the one before, followed the hum within seconds. The Gale was literally blown apart completely by the intense drop; leaving nothing but a few tiny pieces of the monster. A huge crater marked the place where the Gale had spent its final moments; trapped in mid-air.

Suddenly, the pitch-black flame landed hard on the roof -smack-dab in the middle of the crater where the Gale had originally been with a "BOOM"- enlarging the crater further. It was a wonder the concrete hadn't collapsed yet. The second it landed, the flame dispersed; causing the area to light up again and at the same time revealing a familiar-looking boy with black wings and odd horns.
Spoiler:

The boy was crouched into a thoroughly threatening position; with his left arm pressing his left hand to the ground and his right arm out to steady himself. His head was titled down towards the ground and his black bangs shaded most of his face from view. He slowly and menacingly rose to his feet, his face still turned down. The remaining Gales just looked at him, unsure of what to do.

The tense moment seemed to go on for years (although, in all actuality, it was probably only several minutes). The Gales stared, the boy held his admittedly very epic pose. Just when it seemed the moment would never end, the boy's head rose, causing his prismic horns to catch the light in various beautiful and mesmerizing ways, and his face was suddenly in full view. He had a certain trademark facial expression also worn by certain eight-year-old, only this boy looked older and his eyes were a tad more piercing. His mouth twitched, as if he were preparing to say something.

"Don't. You. Mess. With. Her." the boy spoke quite plainly in a familiar sounding voice, although there was an edge in his words. Despite how plainly he spoke, his words stung like venom. The Gales blinked, but they weren't so easily intimidated; not even by this strange boy. They all screeched in unison, although the sound seemed to be dulled, as if it were being drawn away somewhere. They bared their teeth, then all charged at once to get the upper hand by having strength in numbers. The boy flared his black wings, and suddenly he was moving so fast he was practically invisible. He literally swept Sophie right off her feet (suddenly carrying her bridal-style) and into the sky above the rooftop, narrowly dodging the Gales as they all smashed into each other where Sophie had just been standing. He managed to find and catch an updraft; spiraling higher into the sky. Yang, who was nearby, drew closer to them, both out of curiosity and to cover the duo as the airborne Gales continued their onslaught.

"Sorry about the pause there, I had to regain my strength after the attack I used to... 'stop' that Gale." the boy suddenly addressed Sophie with apologetic and sheepish undertones. Now that he was closer, it was obvious that the boy's voice was a slightly older version of Lucius's. "I also apologize for the spontaneous dragging you off the roof, but We had to get out of there with some haste." he explained, still with the same inflections. "Are you doing alright?" he implored, letting his gaze move from the sky to her face.

In the hand he wasn't using to support Sophie's back, he held tightly to a certain black-and-silver cross.
