Character Bio:
Name: Toby Moise
Gender: Male
Age: 16
Appearance:Personality: Don't be fooled by his child-like face, Toby acts nearly nothing like a child. Quite cynical, this boy is prone to assumptions and harsh judgement. He enjoys citing flaws and finding out meanings and is not afraid to speak his mind, causing him to sound like an insensitive jerk at times. Although, he really doesn't mean it. He just likes being 'brutally honest' as he puts it.
Although, this 16-year old isn't always such a judgemental jerk, and enjoys the peace and serenity of swimming and water in general. He prefers pokemon more than people, but won't mind having to converse with them at times. After all, it just means more opportunities to cite the flaws of humans, right?
History: Toby was forced to live with his uncle Akio in Ryujin Village a year ago. He used to live by the coast, but was moved because of family issues. He had trouble (And still does) with getting used to and learning about the odd culture of the villagers. What had puzzled him the most was the fact they seemed to worship pokemon. 'Dragon Gaurdians' as they were called. Toby didn't believe them.
One fateful day, he spotted a Bagon drowning in a lake nearby the village. He immediately came to its rescue, swimming with impressive speed towards the small dragon. Once he'd got it safely on his shoulders, he began to swim back to shore. He set the small pokemon on the ground, relieved to see it was still alive.
A voice. He'd heard a voice. Toby didn't believe it at first, but the odd, echo-like voice pursued. The boy gave up resisting, and began to follow it. Down, down he went, deeper and deeper into the lake. It hurt his lungs greatly, but he persevered. Soon, he was floating mere inches above the seaweed and underwater plant life. A large, dark silhouette loomed over him, its eyes glowing. There were two large gems embedded on its arms. Using telepathy, it used the same, but clearer, voice to explain why Toby was here. It told him about the Gaurdians, the Shrines, and how he was chosen by the Gaurdian of Water.
Once it was done, the odd, large figure disappeared into the darkness of the water. Toby swam back to the surface, his lungs no longer in pain. The same Bagon stood there, grinning as it walked over to Toby. The dragon followed him to his home, and soon became the boy's partner. Toby refused to believe the mysterious figure, and avoided the lake like a plague. But of course, he couldn't resist forever and soon swam back to the depths where he met the figure again. Palkia was its name, and Toby would often visit it during his swimming sessions at the lake.
Other: He almost never removes the goggles. They were a present from his parents when they found out about his fondness for the water. (He sleeps with them still hanging from his neck, for pete's sake!)

He's very obedient and loyal to his trainer, and would go through lengths to make him proud. Unlike other Bagons, Gill wants to learn how to swim instead of flying, but he's quite satisfied with holding onto his trainer's shoulder and being dragged around in the water during their swims.
