Repo The Love Story

The sun was rising on this new day, but for one such lone figure in this city of taint and evil, it was just the ending of the night as his body drags him up the stairs to his apartment in the part of town which could be considered habital, not so much slums but still not ritsy. This night had him up till this hour for what he would call his job, a line of work not like any other. It took a while, but the man was able to make his way to the right floor and to the right door, a soft sigh escapes his lips before he unlocks the iron door holding his hideout from being over run by the drug crazed morons that now little the streets below.

Stumbling inside the doorway, his body fully exhausted before a large wide brimmed black leather hat is placed on the rack near the door, followed by his leather trenchcoat. Zeri gives off a loud yawn before throwing the now blood stained shirt across the room, his bare chest covered in scars and fresh marks from the night before. Unstrapping the hooks on his shoulder, Zeri takes the leather holster from his side off, a large revolver sitting comfortably in it before he places this on the coffee table, sitting with a loud grunt on the couch, his large leather boot placed in the table to begin removing them, knifes following the revolver onto the table. It was an easy job last night, so he brought minimal equipment with him. Zeri was a trained assassin you see, a sword for hire, a hitman.

Zeri runs a hand through his spiked silver hair, some blood traces staining the follicles a deep crimson, a sigh escaping his lips before he makes his way to the bathroom. Both hands placed on the sinks surface as he takes a good long look at himself in the mirror, the scar over his left eye looking to have healed nicely, his piercing silver eyes staring back at him.

"I swear to all that's holy in the darkness in the scum of this city, next person to call me and say, It is an Easy Job, will be killed once the contract is complete."

Heading to the GeneCo building a young woman of 21 was heading to her workplace for the last time. Not getting enough sleep the previous night from sleeping next to a dumpster she stretched her sore muscles. Running her fingers through her black shoulder length hair, Sojnia Ryuzaki stopped in front of the doors and sighed saddly. Wearing a navy blue shirt with a black jacket, she wanted to look good for her last day.(or just cleaning out her desk) Walking in she could hear the faint rumbble of thunder, going towards the front desk she started to gather her things.

This was where she worked, as a secretary for GeneCo., ever since she was 15 years old Rottie Largo gave her a place to stay and a job even. But she was under contract and since he died his three spoiled kids made her leave her home, forcing her to live on the streets once again. She picked up some papers from a few weeks ago and turned on her computer, when she did her eyes widened and she looked around, no people were around. Glancing back at the computer she saw a list of all of the people with GeneCo organs. Without thinking she started printing the list and put them into her own shoulder bag.

It was still taking some getting used to it seemed, staring into an eye that wasn't his from birth, his right eye having been replaced by GeneCo when he was barely thirteen years old... it has already been ten years since that day. Carefully Zeri washes his face from the sink to remove the caked on blood, not letting his mind wander to the past when he has to keep looking to the future. Slowly grabbing a towel and exiting the bathroom, he moves out onto the balcony to stare out at the putrid city and the majestic thunder, Zeri's eyes scanning the sky to see the clouds forming around to create the illusion of peace... but the rain is only going to wash away the top layer of blood that had soaked this city to the bone ages ago.

Opening his back pocket, he pulls out a cigarette from the box held within and with a quick flick of his wrist lights it with the clover lighter he always keeps with him for luck. inhaling the smoke as he stares out at the morning light of the city, watching others being robbed and killed... it didn't seem like anyone here had an easy life, it was almost as if the word easy had been taken out of the city's vocabulary...

A loud ringing from inside the apartment sends Zeri out of his daydreaming, getting a little agitated as he moves to pick up the phone, with a pissed off outlook...

"Yes, what the fuck do you want now?"

"Now is that any way to speak to your employers?"

"Oh it's you guys, I should have you know that you're no longer my employers... your contract is over with, and you have been kicked out of the safety zone."

"We need you for one last job... we have twice the usual payment... and it's an easy job."

Zeri's eye twitches at the mention of an easy job, nothing in this city has been easy for the past few years... glaring at the phone before sighing while flicking the finished smoke out the window...

"Who is it?"

"The skank's name is Sojnia Ryuzaki, she has been charged with stealing a list of patients!! We need her dead!!!"

"Bring me her face!!!"

Zeri sighs softly, it was just another job this time... agreeing to the cash before looking out at the sunrise once more before getting his gear together... it was a nice morning.

Sojnia walked out the door with no trouble, about half way down a few blocks she pulled out her guitar that her father had given her when she was a small child. She had started playing when she was only 13 years old. Taking off the black pants to reveal a pair of dark skinny jeans underneath she sat on the concrete and started playing a song from her past. Strumming the guitar she started to sing as the rain began to fall. As she sang a few people started dropping change into her empty guitar case. I'm not even singing for money. Oh well can't complain though. she thought as she continued to sing above the thunder and light rain.

That phone call had Zeri on edge, his eyes never focusing as he put his gear back on... these three never liked to be kept waiting so he had to get this done by tonight. On his bandolier he decides to put a few extra cylinders worth of rounds for his revolver, strapping the Cavalier to his shoulder holster before getting everything together to head out. This was a bad idea indeed, going out for a kill on no sleep and an intensive night out, but what else could he do with those three always breathing down his neck for progress.

Heading out into the world, Zeri would have to first visit his contact in the GeneCo building to see what this Sojnia was like; her looks, habits, attitude, why she would be put on the hit list, etc. Looking up at the sky as he exits his house, the rain starts to fall down slowly, lightly as he stares at the clouds... such a beautiful day had to be wasted killing someone... looking back down to the street before putting his hat on his head, hands in pockets as he makes his way to GeneCo.

Sonja stopped playing and placed her guitar beside her and started to count the money that was in the case. Ten Dollars. Not all that bad. she thought as she put the money in her pocket. Getting her instrument back into it's case she got up and dusted off the back of her pants. Swinging the guitar over her shoulder she started walking to find a dry place to find something to eat.

It didn't take long until she found a small cafe called, "The Crispy Cream" it didn't take long for Sonja's stomach to growl. She giggled and placed her hand over to try to quiet the rumbling. Crossing the not so busy street she walked into the doughnut place and found a table near the back away from the window. She had enough of the rain just by sitting in it.

The entire time he was walking, Zeri was pelted by the oncoming rain, drenching his trench coat almost all the way through, and it was made from leather. He wasn't in too much of a hurry this day though, so his steps were kinda slow... yawning every now and then cause he was running on fumes. His thoughts drifted lazily to the kill he made last night, a child prostitute trafficker was the target; Client was a father of a recently found dead girl... this one was a personal vendetta contract that was almost too easy, the man was in a warehouse without that many personal guards. The only drawback of the contract was that he had to sever the man's head from his body and deliver it to a disclosed location... which proved to be a problem when the police showed up.

His thoughts continued like this until he was just walking onto the street where GeneCo was resting, the doors nearly sealed and the building shut down... Zeri peering over the brim of his hat to spy a little cafe... The Crispy Creme... his stomach lets out a loud growl as he thinks of something sweet and coffee, feeling his wallet in his pocket and doing the math of how much cash he had on him... enough to bribe a contact and maybe get a quick meal.

Making an I line to the cafe shop, Zeri almost collides with a young woman carrying a guitar case, quickly opening the door for her and tipping his hat in respect...

"My apologies Mi'lady."

Zeri lets her go in first before making his way inside, getting a glare from the person behind the counter due to him dripping water on the ground... looking around to find a seat near a window, before setting his hat down on the table, his trench coat on the chair... no one even looking at his gun. This city had long since gotten used to anyone carrying a weapon on their person... Z sits himself down with a sigh, leaning back to watch the rain fall from outside the window as a young waitress makes her way to him, to take his order...

Sonja's thoughts were on the man that let her go first into the cafe, her waitress(an old friend from her passed) came to see what she wanted. "Hello, welcome to Crispy Creme can I interest you in our pancake special today?" she asked. "No thanks, just a coffee, what kind of doughnuts do you have here?" Sonja asked looking at the name tag. Her eyes widened in excitement, "Lilly?" she asked.

The girl looked at the one in the booth, "Do I know you?"
"It's me, Sonja. Sonja Ryuzaki."

"How have you been? Are you trying to find a job? We have applications." Lilly said. Sonja chuckled softly, "Again thank you, but no. i want to see if i could give singing a try."

Z leans back in his chair and admires the rain as it falls from the sky outside, natural beauty was indeed still the only thing that one could smile about in this world... his eyes focused intently on the outside world as waitresses walk around the interior of the small cafe, the smell of fresh coffee filling him with some vigor for this day. Slowly his mind begins to wander to the woman he had nearly collided with on the way in, admiring the subtle curves of her body with a small smile on his face... wondering who she was...

"It's me, Sonja. Sonja Ryuzaki."

Zeri's eyes slowly follow the sound of that voice till they come to the woman he had followed in... his eye twitching slightly as he takes in a deep breath... it could NOT be that easy. His attention moving back outside but his ears train themselves on the conversation she was having with the waitress at the table. The woman, Sonja, was looking for a new way to find work... the three didn't mention that she had been fired from their employment... why do they want her killed then... She apparently sings, thus explains the guitar case she carries on her back. Only a small tidbit of information on the girl... but every little bit helps on how to best handle the contract.

The door opens with the small bell over it giving off the entrance of someone, Zer's eyes instinctively moving to see who it was and is met with the appearance of a man dressed in a long purple coat, a golden cane, and what appears to be a large feathered cap... I believe they either called this type of man a Moron or a Pimp... Zeri goes with Moron. The man walks as if he owns the place, dressed like that he probably does... Zer's eyes scanning him slowly... For some reason Z had a thought that he knew this man from somewhere before, but could not place him for the life of him...

Lilly walked off to get the order for Sonja. She notice the man in a purple coat but payed him no attention. I'd be embarrassed to be seen in that thing. she thought. Picking up she special notice it have a picture of a Pecan pie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. "That looks so good." she whimpered feeling her mouth watering.

It seemed like this purple robed fellow wasn't in the mood for being nice, his cane clicking against the ground in agitation as he stood in line waiting to get whatever he was there for... the cane making Zeri's eye twitch as he hoped for some reason to kill this fucker. His mind wandering to the amount of torture he could put into this guy before he finally cracks or dies... it could be a bunch of fun if he wasn't on the job right now. Zeri's eyes roam back to she who identified herself as Sonja, scanning her to see if she was armed or at all had any identifying marks as being dangerous. Could it be possible that this was an easy job... his eyes roam back to the man with his cane as he takes a sip of coffee...

He was standing at the front of the counter now, making his order with a loud tone of voice, his skull topped cane being rubbed affectionately with every syllable that trailed from his forked tongue. Z knew this man from somewhere, but it was currently escaping him as to from where... and why was it he had such a seething dislike for that cane. The man moved from the counter to a booth in the corner of the place, putting his back to the window and sits in the full circular booth... his eyes scanning the shop... just like Z's were.
