It was a quiet morning, an early Tuesday one to be exact, and Rae Tanwen lay in bed. Her eyes gently blinked open to the bright rays of sunlight that filtered into her bedroom through the window. Taking a deep breath, Rae sat up and threw the quilt off of herself. Yesterday she had brought up her dreams in a conversation with her mother... and against all the odds, she had said that she would support her. Support her in her bid to rid the nation of the king and enable Pokemon to live alongside people again. She truly hadn't expected it... after all, she was only fourteen. But then again her mother and father had lived through four years of war and conflict up in the north before moving down to Furikkusu Town to settle down and have a child. The one catch was she wasn't allowed to go on her own. She needed to convince at least one person to come with her.
Rae sighed. It really was quite an unrealistic dream when she thought about it. A few teenagers taking on a whole military, along with the king himself. Some of the friends she had in town were afraid of Pokemon entirely.. and it was obvious they would need Pokemon's strength if they were to overthrow the king. So they were out of the question.
Getting up, Rae got dressed and threw on some jeans and a plain lilac shirt. She wandered downstairs and made herself some toast before grabbing her coat and scarf and putting her shoes on. "I'm going out mom!" she yelled before disappearing out of the door.
Rae slipped into her coat as she wandered up the path towards the edge of the village. She was headed into Chiratsuki Forest as, despite it being quite dark when you went in too far, Rae found it easier to think when she was alone.
She entered the forest, her white scarf now wrapped around her neck. Picking a tree, she scrambled her way up it and sat on one of the branches. A rustle came from one of the bushes nearby and Rae cursed herself for not bringing her sketchbook and pencil case. She could probably have done something better with her time rather than just sitting here if she had done. Rae leaned her head back and stared up at the bright blue sky. It didn't look like it was going to rain today. At least that was a plus.

| "Look, there's a reason people tell that story. If you can't control a pokemon you'll probably end up burning down the town for a second time. Not only that, but it will probably look a bit suspicious." Dante retorted, and then sighed. He didn't want to shoot down Rae's ideas, but they just didn't seem possible for their time. "You know what? When you figure out how to train a pokemon, you can come back and tell me, and I'll start to consider what you're talking about." He continued to say. He figured that it would be nearly impossible, and she would most likely fail. Of course, he did't want her to get hurt trying. But it was really the only thing he could think of at the time. | |

| Aria suddenly clapped her hands together. "Everything that the king hates is mostly revolving around Pokemon and their capture...Have you ever heard about Flicky...Flicker...however you pronounce it Fruit? I almost got in trouble because I ate the fruit, and decided to show the glow in the dark fruit to my parents. Long story short they kinda didn't like it..." She said embarassedly. Aria glanced at the brightening sky. "Actually I'm not really supposed to be out here anymore. I should probably be going back. Bye!" She leapt through the trees again, and disappeared. | |

| "Flickerfruit...." blinked Rae after waving goodbye to Aria. She frowned as her friend disappeared in the trees. The flickering ones grew just deeper in... she could... if she wanted to.
"Hey... Dante. What if I could prove to you that the Pokemon aren't as dangerous as everyone makes them out to be..." she paused for a moment before asking suddenly; "If I could befriend a Pokemon before sunrise in a weeks time, would you at least consider that my idea might work?"

| Dante tossed his arms up into the air, wondering what the heck was going through the two girl's minds about all of that. Training pokemon, going against the king, it all just didn't seem liable to him. He jumped out of the branch in the tree, landing on the ground and looked back up at Rae. "If you can do either of those, I'll do whatever. Heck, I'd cross dress for a week if you could manage that." He commented, still thinking that she wouldn't, couldn't do it. "But in the meantime, I've got to help my mom out with some stuff back home. I guess I'll see you around later." He commented, starting to walk out of the forest. | |

| (Skipping Saku cause her char left earlier)
Rae blinked for a moment as Dante threw his arms in the air before he climbed down. She frowned. Was he just ignoring her? He then looked back up at her, and what he said made Rae smile. "See you later!" she grinned, waving as he headed back home.
After Dante had gone, Rae nimbly climbed down from the tree, but instead of going back home she headed deeper into the forest. Soon she would reach the area where the fruit from the trees glowed at night. She'd been here before and thought it was quite pretty... though the older people in Furikkusu Town had always told her to stay away in case people got the wrong idea. Rae's mother had once told her how 20 years ago, people would use the shells from the flickering fruit to catch and befriend Pokemon. If they could do it then, surely she could learn to do the same?
Gathering up as much fruit as she could carry from that part of the forest, Rae then proceeded to travel back toward her home town. If anybody asked, she would say she wanted them to try cooking with them as their taste was so sweet. She only needed the shells according to the story her mother had told her, and so she could likely do both and no one would be any the wiser.

| Heading back through the forest, Dante shook his head and sighed as he made his way back to town. Honestly, what were they thinking? At any rate, if Rae and Aria didn't get themselves hurt attempting that, Dante was more worried about what would happen if they did succeed. They may be able to go through a couple towns, but the King's forces would find them at some point if they became to much of a problem, and they could take them out easily.
Walking back out of the forest, he headed through the small area and went into his house. His mother wasn't in sight, and so he figured that she had decided to get some rest in the other room. Dante sat down in a chair at the table, looking around the room and planning out what to do for the rest of the day.

| Aria carefully opened the door, and peeked in. So far the coast was cle- "Aria. Is that you?" a voice called out worriedly. Aria winced, so her mother was awake. Well there was no point in pretending that she was home the whole time. "I'm home." She mumbled and swung open the door. Her mother stood at the table. There appeared to be bags under her eyes so she probably was working late nights again. "You didn't go out to the forest did you?" Aria hated having to lie but..."No mom." She looked relived. | |

| Rae wandered into her house, closing the door behind her. "I'm back mom!" she yelled, grinning as she dumped all of the Flickerfruit on the dining room table. Rae's mother walked in and gasps quietly at the amount of fruit.
"Okay Rae... I think you went a bit overboard. I'm sure we don't need this much to cook with," she blinked. "I wanted to try and learn how to de-shell them without breaking the shells. You know? To catch Pokemon with..." replied Rae, frowning. She hoped that her mother hadn't gone back on her word and wouldn't try to stop her now.
With a short sigh she replied, "Alright then. Just be careful. And make sure you stay inside when you do it, otherwise we'll end up with the military on our doorstep."

| After sitting down for a couple of minutes, Dante looked at the table and noticed a piece of paper on it, with some chores listed. A couple of them had been crossed off as already done, making him smile in a bitter-sweet way. Thanks, mom. But you shouldn't be doing that much of it. No wonder you're resting, in your condition. He thought to himself, as he put the list in his pocket and walked up to his room, throwing his coat onto his bed and looking at a picture sitting on the desk in his room. Smirking, he ran back down to get some work done before his mother woke up. | |

| Aria walked upstairs trying not to look like some guilty child that breaks her parent's rules practicly 24/7. Good and bad, she was getting better at it. Aria was doing this daily and she was getting used to looking like everything was alright, which is also bad since she is having skills of criminals. "Mom I'm going to clean up my room." She yelled down the top of the stairs....which was half the truth. Aria walked quickly to her room, and started taking stuff out, then puting it back in, searching for something. Finally when a decent amount of the room seemed clean enough, she found what she was looking for. "There you are...." she mumbled, closing her hand around the fruit. Truth be told, after she was banished from the forest...the first time she went into the forest she took one single fruit. It dried a bit from now but it was still the same glowing fruit. The fruit that once you get rid of the stuff inside could hold a Pokemon. The fruit that once de-shelled could get you killed. | |

| Grinning, Rae grabbed some of the Flickerfruit and began to try cracking it open. It was much harder than it looked to crack open the fruit. Rae's mother took one and cracked it open, though the shell broke in her hands.
"Hmm...Looks like we're going to have to be very careful with these if you want them whole..." Rae nodded and tried again, attempting to gently pry the shell off of the fruit. It took a few tries but she did eventually get a shell that didn't split... only it was hanging on by just a thread and looked like it would break at any given moment. Frowning, Rae put the nearly useful shell in a separate pile to all the broken pieces of shell and tried again.
