Flipping the Script [Event]

Everspring Vale: Round 2.

Last time Osiris had stomped through these grounds, he'd met a very good friend and had a very bad day. The dratini had been woefully underprepared, weak, unimaginative, and a burden to the people that he wanted to take care of. Today, he wasn't much different. The most prominent difference was that he was aware of it and actively looking to flip the script, thanks to some much-needed advice he'd gotten.

It was time to really, honestly challenge himself for the first time. Fully, fairly, and most importantly safely. The dragon worm slithered through the tall-grass of the Vale's many forestlike areas, ducking through bushes and between trees as he searched for good match-ups. He'd brought his satchel with him this time around, packed full of supplies and useful items in case he found himself hurt, needing an edge in a fight, or a way out of a sticky situation.

It was time to do this right.

43 - 20 (entry): 23 energy

"Those are a lot clearer directions than the bidoofs', at least." Osiris offered, looking back at the ninetales as Victoria started in the opposite direction. The dratini smiled back at the fox pokemon as they left, all good cheer and gratitude. Some pokemon were just too nice! It was the ones like her that made coming to these awful dungeons worth at the end of the day.

Maybe it was a bit curious that both she and the beaver pokemon back at the dam gave totally opposite directions, but he was of the opinion this ninetales just knew what she was talking about. Osiris didn't spend any more brain-power on the issue, squaring it away as a helpful local correcting the mistake of a few misguided ones - good pokemon all around. This little trip out to Everspring hadn't gone at all the way he envisioned, but it wasn't so bad in hindsight.

Aside from the monumental butt-kicking, anyway. He at least got to meet this absolute unit of a dragon queen. "All we gotta do is get out of here, then we can find our way back home. I just don't know this dungeon well at all," Iris said. "It'll be a different story once we're somewhere else."

Spoiler alert: it wouldn't be.
