| Rex is not like the average Pokémon. Rex is not a friend. Rex is almost always openly hostile. He seeks to demonstrate his superiority, typically through combat. If one were to speak to him, they’d be equally likely to receive a response in the form as an attack as they would one in the form of words. Rex fully understands the concept of mercy, but it’s highly unlikely he would show it in any form. He is cruel, and derives great pleasure in other’s displeasure, suffering, and misfortune.
Combat and destruction was Rex’s panacea. Something blocking his path? Destroy it. Someone causing him trouble? Break them. Hungry? Bored? Trample through a forest, unrooting trees, crush any other Pokémon that gets in the way, perhaps make a meal of the fallen. Fallen fruit, or fallen foes? Rex wasn’t picky. Pecha Forest was home to relatively weak and docile Pokémon. It was also a popular place for adventuring types to explore and berry pickers to… Pick berries. Rex saw little difference in the types of Pokémon he may encounter in the territory. To the onix, they were all little more than pieces in his game.
The massive stone serpent buried his head deep into the soil, twisting and squirming as he buried himself ever deeper into the earth. Then, at the moment that the tip of his tail disappeared below the ground’s surface, the onix suddenly shifted directions, curving back upwards and quickly drilling his way upward, on direct course to impact the base of a sturdy tree. Upon reaching the deepest roots, he changed path once again, shifting from a direct route to one in the shape of a spiral, shifting and loosening the dirt in which the roots kept hold. Following this, the rock snake darted downward at an angle, made a rather tight U-turn, and then rocketed upward at an even sharper angle.
Rex roared as he breached the soft and loosened soil. The onix’s large horn crashed into the trunk of the tree, and with his great weight in combination with the displaced roots, the tree fell easily to the floor with a resounding CRACK! Rex stood and looked upon the fallen tree, then glanced upward to see the many others that had already met similar fates. After a long moment, Rex turned his attention to the next tree, and pondered how he might break this one.

| It was difficult to figure out which bothered her more: the fact that the rock snake was laying waste to the beautiful forest without a care for anyone but itself or the sight of the Pokemon around her that seemed to be losing their minds because of it. Many of them were either huddled together or running off in the opposite direction shouting, "Onix! Run!". Where was the courage? The will to defend your home and family? It made the woolly wanderer shake her head in disappointment and caused her to think that perhaps the tales that her uncle had told her of had perhaps not been true. He had spoken of great battles and acts of heroism but clearly that was not the case here.
Undeterred, the confident Mareep continued forward, heading towards the sources of the disturbance although she had to pause now and again whenever the massive Pokemon began to burrow, causing the ground to shake. She knew that if things turned violent that she would be at a disadvantage but Desiree was not the type to let a simple fact like that stop her. Besides, not only did she have a move that was effective against rock types but she did not have much in the way of electric moves anyway. Perhaps she was getting ahead of herself anyway by thinking in such ways as there was no guarantee that things would turn out hostile. Yet, the thought of that did send a shiver of pleasure through out her body and caused the adrenaline to start pumping.
She eventually reached far enough in to the forest to see the damage that the snake had caused and the site brought a frown to her face. The area was littered with felled trees, a site that made the country Pokemon's blood boil slightly. Her gaze soon turned upwards as she took in the size of the monstrous rock type as it examined its next leaf decorated target.
"Oi! Don't you have anything better to do?" she yelled up at it, her tone anything but gentle, swishing her tail from one side to the other.

| The tree before Rex was virtually indistinguishable from the last several he had encountered, with the only exception being that this one had yet to be uprooted, broken, or trampled. Rex had devised many methods of ruining many things. For trees, there was trampling, uprooting, breaking—with tail, with bind, and with jaws. Destabilizing soil and causing a landslide was one of his favourites, but the terrain of Pecha forest hardly accommodated for such a strategy. Before he could come to a decision on which method to use for this particular tree, he was distracted by a voice that was distinct from the distant and panicked cries of the locals. Based on the volume, the source was close. Very low to the ground, but close.
The onix wrapped himself around the trunk of the tree, tight, but not too tight. The onix then looked in the direction the sound came from, and adjusted his view downward until the relatively tiny cotton ball of a Pokémon came into his view. Rex recognized the species: mareep. Small, light, electric-type. And apparently quite brave. Or was it stupid? Rex couldn’t tell the difference. As he stared down the tiny Wool Pokémon, Rex tightened his bind around the tree, causing the wood to creak under the pressure. ”Mmmm…” the onix groaned in a deep tone as he began to lean his massive stoney head toward the would-be hero. His hold of the tree and the shifting of his weight resulted in a building “CRACK!”
As the tree snapped and fell with the onix still holding it, Rex hit the ground with a heavy thud. The rock snake unwrapped itself from the felled tree, and quickly circled around the mareep, creating a stone walled arena with his own body. His head came to rest atop his tail. ”No.” His voice almost painfully loud yet deep and monotone. ”You see before you a behemoth—a stone serpent—standing something more than fourteen times your height, weighing over four hundred and fifty pounds, deforesting—rather quickly and easily—a population of trees. And you think to yourself, not to flee, but to say to the behemoth… What was it? Oi? Oi!” The onix’s shout was deafening. ”AND THEN… You proceed to question the stone serpent’s doing?”
Rex grinned—which was only a slight change in his otherwise expressionless face. In a gruff and failing attempt at a whisper, he spoke. ”Why do you seek your own demise, talking cotton?”

| The sheep like Pokemon had to shake her head in order to get rid of the ringing that his voice had caused her to start hearing. She kept her equilibrium though and neither backed up nor attempted to flee although given her current situation, the latter would have been out of the question anyway. He had moved with surprising agility in order to create his arena of stone and there was not much that she could have done to evade or escape it. She was stuck for the moment and would simply have to play things by ear. Yet, the woolly wanderer did not feel much in the way of fear and if anything, her current dilemma only seemed to fuel her more aggressive and bold instincts.
"Whoever said that it was my demise that I was seeking or anyone's for that matter?" she answered, having to still crank her head upwards slightly to look the rock creature in the eye, "I was merely curious as to why you were spending your time making a mess of this forest. You boast about your height and weight, yet you use it to knock trees down and frighten meek Pokemon with no courage or backbone to defend themselves. Hardly the actions of a behemoth. No, they seem like the actions of a cowardly runt to me. Is that the truth behind this show of supposed strength, oh high and mighty rock serpent? Is this all just an act?"
She took a step forward towards him and swished her tail once more, it briefly turning a dull grey colour in order to show her willingness to fight, as well as a brief burst of static electricity to run across her woolly frame. Was it a challenge? Partly but it was just as much of a sign that she was not afraid, unlike those who were either running for their lives or who were slowly returning, watching the scene from afar.

| It hurt. Everything hurt.
Leander had been leisurely strolling through the forest, trying to make the most out of his trip to Grassveil by throwing in some mild training in the only dungeon that seemed mellow and safe enough for a small and weak pokémon like him to train in. Except he had arrived in the forest on that one day of the year where it wasn't. Nope, today it just had to be the playground for a humongous, serpentine string of rocks with no moral compass.
Now the seedot lay underneath a fallen tree, having failed to outrun it as it fell over him. He was completely covered by it, his body even pushed partially into the soil from the force of the tree's fall, but he was not dead. The fact that he was not made from soft flesh had saved him from as much.
The tree's weight, together with the pain of being hit by it, made him want to just lay still. That probably was not a particularly good idea, though, as he was quite injured and needed to get the tree off him before the pressure it put on his shell would crack it. Wriggling his body and pushing at the soil behind him with his feet, the nut slowly fought his way out from underneath the tree.
At last, he was greeted by sunlight. Leander looked around. Most of the pokémon that had been around at the start of the attack were gone. Understandably so, as he would have wanted to join them had he not been trapped under some Arceus-forsaken tree. He could still spot some here and there, either hiding or watching, tense and scared. Watching what? He moved his gaze again.
The onix. It was still close. This was bad. But for some reason, it was lying still, forming some kind of rocky murder-donut. Someone was talking, but he could not make out what was being said. What he did notice, however, was that the voice sure as hell did not fit an onix. Had someone actually come to stand up to the snake? An explorer, maybe, or even the police? That could probably save them. Since he was close to the beast, Leander treaded carefully as he moved in a half-circle around them. No, it couldn't even be called that. A quarter-circle? That would be more appropriate. Just enough to let him peer past the living stone wall and see the challenger.
A mareep. A single, fuzzy mareep. Any feeling of hope Leander was having was instantly converted into concern. Was she mad? She seemed oddly lucid for someone standing face to face with a monstrosity like that, so maybe not. Maybe the onix had trapped her and she was forced to stand her ground? Poor thing! Leander wondered if there was anything he could do to help the unfortunate soul he assumed that she was. On the offensive front, he had little to work with. Surviving enough attacks to retaliate with Bide seemed impossible when faced with a giant like that, especially after having been crushed by a tree. No, direct fighting was out of the question. But maybe he could play a supporting role? She seemed to ready to fight. He could use Grassy Terrain to help heal her if she got attacked, but that also meant healing the onix. It would make tremors more difficult to set off, though, which could help. Onix were ground-types, and Leander knew those would often fight using tremors. Mareep, as electric-types, were even weak to that sort of attack to boot.
Or he could just run off and save himself. But he had come here to strengthen himself so that he could help others in the future. His goal was to become a better person, after all. And what was a better way of being good than helping someone escape the clutches of a terrible monster? If there was something he could do now that would help, but not kill him, he would want to do that. So he stayed and looked for an opportunity, but kept a low profile by keeping out of the giant's field of vision.

| [Energy: 19 - 5 (Entry) = 14] The onix listened patiently as the mareep before him responded. Her claim that she was no in fact seeking her own death didn’t seem right to Rex. Why else would someone approach him so boldly? She feigned curiocity, and her not-so-subtle insult did not go unnoticed by the rock snake Pokémon. Neither did the slight colour change of the mareep’s tail as she boldly stepped forward. It was this deliberate show of the wooly creature’s willingness to fight despite the apparent disadvantage that made Rex think that this was, in fact, bravery. No, wait, was that stupidity? Rex still couldn’t tell the difference. Without a word, Rex began to rotate himself around the ring he had created, as if to remind the mareep of where she stood in this situation. Insults didn’t really affect the onix. They usually indicated that the Pokémon hurling them was either angry or scared—or both—which meant that his actions were having the correct effect. Whether or not someone insulted him, Rex was likely intended to crush the person regardless. Without stopping, Rex spoke. ”I am neither runt nor coward. I destroy what I please because I can, because I enjoy it. It is like an art to me.”As he continued to wind around the sheep-like Pokémon, Rex’s stoney skin glimmered for a moment, the shine traveling from his horn down to the tip of his tail—Harden. ”The cowards are all around us—fleeing in fear of the stone serpent who is destroying their home. They would rather run and leave their home undefended than face the monster. Cowardly, but smart. But not you, Cotton. I don’t believe this is your home. You are at every disadvantage. And yet, here you stand...”He stopped suddenly, tail lashing out of the circular rut in the ground he had created, swinging around until it collided with a tree. The bark was easily severed from the trunk, the wood cracked loudly, and the tree itself shifted somewhat, tilted slightly, but not yet broken. The mareep was left ample opening to move away from the onix. ”This is your one opportunity to attempt to correct your mistake.”- Badger carried out 5 launched of one Pecha Forest :

| During the Onix's display, Desiree did move an inch although she listened intently to every word, as well as to the loud crack that rang through out the area as the tree was struck by the massive rock serpent. Did she imagine for a moment that it could be? No, such thoughts were self destructive and the adrenaline was flowing far too strongly for her to consider such things. The situation reminded her of the first battle that she had taken part in, a somewhat similar one to this although it had been her home that she had defending rather than someone else's. That night had revealed so much to her and not only that but it had awakened something else, her lust for battle. That was what if she was honest with herself.
The woolly wanderer was somewhat surprised that the snake had even considered the idea of letting her walk away but it was an offer that she passed on the moment it was offered to her. If she walked away, it would undermine every word that she had said and what was worse, she would never be able to look her uncle in the eye again. The Mareep's journey had only just begun and she would be damned if it was going end so soon, against this destruction loving monster. No, she would survive this encounter and continue onwards. There was a wide world out there for her to see, Pokemon to meet and other battles and scrapes to get in. Yet, walking away from this was not an option, it was never an option, not for her. It left her with one course of action, in her increasingly stubborn mind.
"I will have to pass on that opportunity," she eventually said, "I'm not just going to walk away and watch you continue to make a mess of this forest and if that means that I have to put you down then I will do. The fact that you would even offer me that opportunity baffles me."

| As Rex slithered in a circle, the seedot followed suit, running in orbit around the onix to remain hidden as the beast's field of view moved. When the fiend finally stopped, the nut nearly toppled over from the pain of moving so much in his injured state. He regained his balance quickly, though, and began looking for a gap between the ground and the rock snake's body again, so that he could check how the electric sheep was doing. There was little time to do so before the onix moved again, however, and Leander was too surprised by the snake's sudden outlash to keep looking for Desiree.
As the tail whipped around the beast's immediate surroundings, the nut's yellow pupils grew small in fear. There was so much raw energy and power in its movements, despite it being so big. Part of Leander expected it to be terribly heavy to move, but now that he thought it over, that wouldn't have made much sense. Of course the onix would be strong enough to move it- it was part of him. A part the seedot did not want hitting him in the face, which was why he threw himself on the ground as the tail flew over his head.
Although that move had been terrifying, at least now the poor mareep had enough room to get away from the onix. So now she's just gotta run, and we're good..., he thought. Except the running part did not happen. Leander tilted up slightly to watch, his muddied body still on the ground, tense and with pupils like pinpricks. She did not move. Didn't seem like she even considered it. All was silent in his mind for a moment. Finally, he could hear what was being said.
"I will have to pass on that opportunity,"
He felt increasingly confused. What was she doing?
"I'm not just going to walk away and watch you continue to make a mess of this forest and if that means that I have to put you down then I will do. The fact that you would even offer me that opportunity baffles me."
That was.... That was so heroic. She wasn't some damsel in distress! This mareep seemed to have walked up to this beast on her own volition, prepared to selflessly fight it and save those who could not save themselves. Though the opponent was huge, and the danger even bigger, she was not hesitating. Not even trying to run. The nut fell flat to the ground again, shivering as tears welled up in his eyes. Being a particularly sappy person, heroism like this easily moved him. He couldn't just run now, even if his original goal of securing the mareep an escape had been scrapped. No, he still had to support her somehow, even if only a little! Grassy Terrain would still be more useful to the mareep than the onix, so he could still provide some sort of advantage to her. Even if the snake knew no ground-type moves, the roots of his plants could perhaps still slow his tunnelling. He hoped. That guy had been toppling trees earlier, after all... Either way, Leander hopped right back up on his feet. It didn't matter if the onix spotted him. They were fighting the good fight! That was what his mind, high on emotions, told him, at least. So he fired loose...
The ground underneath him began glowing a bright green, the light spreading out across the forest floor in his vicinity, including the ground underneath the onix and the mareep. Then, a blanket of grass, small shrubs and flowers grew from the luminescent ground, covering everything in lush, healing vegetation. With his Grassy Terrain set up, the seedot drew in air, preparing to shout.
"Go, mareep! Beat him!"

Rex opened his mouth to respond to the mareep, to explain that walking away was, in fact, never an option. It was simply a ploy to reveal her true cowardly nature before he eliminated her. But the onix didn’t get the chance to elaborate, nor the opportunity to once again remind her that she was standing in her own grave, as he was distracted by the sudden change in scenery and the new tiny voice that had revealed itself. Mouth still agape, the onix’s turned his stoney glare toward the seedot who had just intervened. Rex was momentarily stunned in confusion, trying to work out what exactly the seedot was trying to accomplish. He had cheered for the mareep, but had also used a move that benefited everyone in the area, Rex himself included.
Rex could already feel the restorative effects of the seedot’s move. He turned his attention back to the mareep. ”Your friend is an idiot,” the onix deadpanned. ”And, just so it is clear, you were not going to escape, had you taken the offer. I was just curious—testing your mettle, one would say. Now..." An expression of sadistic delight spread across the onix's face. "shall we begin?”
With no further warning, the stone serpent swung his massive, weighty tail back in the direction of the mareep. The Heavy Slam attack was carefully aimed so that only the smallest portion of his tail could actually make contact with the wooly Pokémon—Rex didn’t want to kill his target outright. Not yet.
From the tree Rex had most recently struck, a spinarak emerged, watching as the stone snake—who had been wreaking havoc on her home—swung its large tail at this stranger mareep. Below the tree was a terrified bonsly, trying his best to hide behind an expressionless tangela.

| Desiree could feel the effects of the grass type move seeping up in to her legs and body which left her feeling an odd tingly sensation although it was anything but painful. Her knowledge of the various abilities of other Pokemon was somewhat limited but she had enough common sense to realise that it was aiding her. She did not get the chance to shout a thank you or anything else for that matter as her attention was swiftly back on to the massive serpent as it spoke once more. Its answer was pretty much what she had been expecting and the Mareep did not doubt the truth of it for a moment. There that who spoke in riddles and those who just spoke plainly and it seemed to her that they were both in the latter group.
When the attack finally came, her instincts took control and the woolly wanderer heard before seeing the massive tail coming towards her. Countering seemed out of the question so instead she had to simply try and duck underneath. It was successful but she could hear the viciousness of the swipe as it sailed over her fluffy form. She was fortunate that it had been with the tip of the tail rather than the bulk of it otherwise she could well have been struck with it. When the attack had passed, she then charged forwards towards his central mass, building up speed and attempting to use her Tackle attack on the massive serpent. The rational part of her was screaming about what she was about to do but it was drowned out by the far louder and animalistic side. She had always had a hard head, now was the time to test just how hard.

| (Energy: 12 + 1 = 13) Alright! The terrain was in place, and he could feel the tingling, warm sensation it created spread through his battered body. Moving around would be easier soon. The sweet scent of various flowers also wafted through the area, quite unfitting for the situation it was in, but nonetheless helpful to keep the nut calm and somewhat focused. As calm as his impulsive mind could be in a situation as this, anyway. All was well, until the onix inevitably turned his head to take a gander at whatever had changed the the look of the field. Big, leering eyes with slitted pupils were pinned on him, sitting right above an open jaw looking like it could close around him and crush him in one bite. Though he wanted to cower or back off, Leander remained in place, trying to make a brave face. He had given up on hiding his presence when he launched that move, so bolting off would undermine his earlier bravery. If such reckless acts could even be called that. Although his body still hurt, he was pretty sure that he could muster throwing himself to the side and crawl away should the snake pounce, anyway. Whether that would be effective or not against a creature as big as that, his mind struggled to determine in the heat of the moment. Luckily, the unpleasant attention did not linger on him for long, and the serpent went back to focusing on his first aggressor. The seedot was apparently not going to die quite yet, though he did catch the onix's insult. Being murderous and destructive was apparently not enough for the snake, as he had to go and be rude as well. So, now what? He still had zilch and nada to roll with offensively, leaving him uselessly idle while the mareep fought the onix on her own. Speech was something he usually would be good at, but he did struggle to scoop out good words when his surroundings were not calm. Talking the onix out of his violence would definitely fail, but perhaps he could muster up enough charisma to gain his team some backup? The allies would be ferals, sure, but even they understood when teaming up could be beneficial, right? Hopefully... Closing his eyes and breathing in the lovely scent of flowers, he attempted to calm his somewhat frayed nerves before turning around and approaching a copse of trees near the battlefield. There were pokémon in there, sure, but they looked rather shellshocked after the onix's initial attack on their homes. This sure wasn't going to go butter-smooth, but Leander had little else he could do right now. "Hey! Do any of you have something that could be of use to help us stop him? I'm not asking you to go out and fight directly, but if there's anything else you could use, like supporting moves or some kind of ability...", he began asking, trying his best to sound calm and friendly. They likely were not going to trust him particularly much right off the bat, so he figured he should at least make it clear they were on the same side in this fight. - Scypho carried out 3 launched of one Pecha Forest :

| Unsurprised by the mereep’s evasion of his attack, Rex waited for his opponent to retaliate. Despite his massive size, he not slow. In fact, he was almost certainly faster than either the mareep or the seedot. On top of that, he had a unique ability that would—if all went well—make his enemies regret attacking him. As the mareep struck him with her Tackle, Rex didn’t budge. In fact, he barely seemed to notice the attack, with the only indication that the attack had any effect whatsoever being a crack in the onix’s stoney skin, which spread rapidly across his body. Rex flexed his entire body, and thin stone flakes broke from it, falling to the earth and breaking into bits and dust.
[Weak Armor: -1 Defence, +1 Speed] [Defence: 0, Speed: +1]
Before the mareep could get a chance to make a second attack, Rex wrapped the end of his serpentine form around the wool Pokémon, the static generated by the wool having no effect on the onix. Rex squeezed what to him would be considered lightly, but to the tiny cotton ball of a Pokemon in his Bind would certainly cause some amount of pain. Once again, Rex felt the rejuvenating energy of the Grassy Terrain once more, and a gravelly sound one might interpret as a laugh escaped him. Maintianing his grip on the mareep, Rex glared at the nearby seedot. ”You have made a tactical error, acorn. Your ally here is too slow and too weak to hurt me. Your field alterations only aid in your own defeat.”
Rex moved the end of his tail, forcing Desiree to be close in front of his face. In the lowest tone he could muster—a voice still slightly louder than typical talking volume—he continued. ”Your attacks only make me faster. Your electricity cannot hurt me. I cannot lose.”
Behind and unknown to the onix, the tangela approached slowly and quietly, clearly attempting to avoid detection from the stone serpent, and so far, succeeding. Above it, in the treeline which still stood, the spinarak weaved a tangle of webbing across the tops of the trees. The bonsly was nowhere to be seen.
((I know that the ability Static can, in fact, paralyze ground types. Rex, however, doesn’t realise this, and doesn’t realise that keeping a hold on a mareep with static is a bad idea.))

| Desiree grimaced as the Onix tightened his grip on her but she refused to cry out, biting her tongue to stop herself. She took confidence from her successful attack though and being able to put a crack in his stony skin gave her a pleasurable feeling of satisfaction. Yet, there was little she could do at the moment or at least, that was her first thought. The sheep like Pokemon was stuck in his iron like grasp although the pain was not overwhelming, not yet anyway. She was still concious, his words were still registering and her frustration was starting to build at a very quick rate. Helplessness was not a feeling that the Mareep was all that used too and but certainly did nothing to quell her desire to smash the oversized reptile in to pieces. It only made the feeling stronger.
As he brought her up to look him in the eye and attempted to erode her confidence with his words, the Mareep defiantly began to give off a few sparks of static electric from her fur. It was not an attack as such but more of a sign that she had not given up, despite the situation. She racked her brains, trying to come up with a way out of her situation, something that could break his grip on her. Tackle and Thunder Wave were out, which left only two moves. Her best bet would be Iron Tail but he would probably be expecting that, given how she had used as another show of defiance earlier. So, that left only her with just one move that she could use to help and fortunately, it was one that she was quite happy to use, considering how pissed off she was at that moment.
"You may be faster but what about your defence?" she answered, a glint in her eye, "If I hit you enough times, will you crumble completely?"
She then managed to unleash a Growl, directly in the face of the Onix, allowing all of her anger and frustration to come to the surface in one simple act.

| (Energy: 13 - 3 + 1 = 11) (Grassy Terrain ends at the end of each page, and has to be reactivated to come into effect again, by the way. Letting you know since the last post of the page ain't mine) With a frustrated sigh, the acorn gave up on recruiting the ferals in the copse. Those he could see, were just blankly staring back at him, eyes glazed over by either fear or indifference. At this point, Leander didn't care which one. This gang certainly was not set on aiding him the way things were now. "Just know that it's your home that's at stake here! We're not doing this because it's fun!", he told them, venting some of his stress by yelling. His stress level was not helped by the fact that when he turned around to check on the fight, the onix was looking at him again, now having coiled his long body around the mareep and stopped her from moving. ”You have made a tactical error, acorn. Your ally here is too slow and too weak to hurt me. Your field alterations only aid in your own defeat," his voice had boomed. This was a terrible timing for him to be questioning his earlier actions, so Leander tried to stay calm. While he did not personally know how strong this sheep was, she had chosen to fight a behemoth like that onix without hesitation. That meant she was confident in her skills, right? Unless she's just crazy. Of course that thought had struck him, too. But doubting her wouldn't do him any good, seeing as she was the only current hope they had to defeat the onix, anyway. If the healing terrain helped her last longer so that she could find a way to break free, it was worth it in Leander's eyes. There was a chance the onix was just trying to prevent him from reactivating the move once it withered away, too, since they still risked the snake having a powerful, tremor-causing move up his sleeve. The terrain was starting to look bleaker, after all, so this was a good time to play one's tricks should one not want the greenery back. After reassuring himself that he had, in fact, not ruined everything quite yet, the seedot resumed his search for aid in winning. This time, though, his attention did not fall on ferals. Those he had spoken to earlier had watered down his faith in them, so instead, he checked the ground for items. They were in a dungeon, after all, so there was bound to be something laying about. And sure enough, he did come across something neat. By a bush not too far from the copse, an orange seed with a tough, almost scaley-looking shell lay, partially hidden in the shadow cast by the bush. It seemed familiar to him, leaving him with a feeling reminiscent of déjà vu until the memory finally surfaced. Hadn't Eleanore talked about this thing while using it in her cooking? Apparently, it was called a Blast Seed, and had to be carefully handled when used as an ingredient, or else you'd risk blowing your kitchen to smithereens. It was explosive. An explosive seed. A perfect weapon for someone with no reliable moves! Had Leander had a visible mouth, it would have crooked into a mischievous smile. Now, this he could certainly use. So he began running towards the bush, hoping to get his stem on the seed before anything bad happened to the mareep. His body hurt less now, thankfully, so running was not as painful as it had been earlier. - Scypho carried out 2 launched of one Pecha Forest :

| [Energy: 1 + 1 (Grassy Terrain) + 1 (Last post’s GT because I’m bad at this game) = 3] [Growl: -1 Defense] [Defense: -1, Speed: +1]
The onix utterly ignored the mareep’s words, opting instead to once again squeeze the wool Pokémon, harder this time, intending to remind her of where exactly she was and who exactly was in control of the situation. Rex could hear the seedot calling out, presumably trying to provoke the inhabitants of Pecha Forest to aid in the fight. This, Rex was sure, was wasted effort. Those that dwelled in the forest were cowards, unwilling to risk their own lives to aid others or even protect their own home. Not that it would have mattered. The stone serpent was absolutely confident in his dominance; the behemoth was sure that no number of lesser Pokémon could bring him down.
Unfortunately for the behemoth, the static of the mareep held in his grip had begun to take hold. Rex’s tail recoiled and stiffened, releasing his captive and allowing her to fall the couple of feet he had suspended her at. Rex glowered at the wooly creature and raised his tail to once again attempt a Heavy Slam against her, only for his entire body to spasm and knock him off balance. The stone snake was quick to recover, coiling up once again and raising his head high above the nearby trees. Still, though, the Static’s effects were evident, causing minor shutters throughout the onix’s body. Even as the last remnants of the dying Grassy Terrain partially restored his energy, the paralysis remained.
”Even without armor I can easily withstand your attacks! You are nothing more than a—” Rex’s jaw jerked slightly, interrupting his monologue. ”NUISANCE!” The onix’s voice boomed like thunder from above the treetops. ”THE BOTH OF YOU!” As Rex roared, he swung his massive tail once again, this time directed at the seedot who had up to this point been playing influencer in the background of the fight.
Behind Rex, the spinarak had completed its trap of webbing that reached between two trees. The tangala stood below it, waving its vines in an attempt to garner the attention of the mareep or the seedot and draw their eyes to the span of webs.
