Silverdawn Energy: 32 - 20 = 12 - 5 (Yigo) = 7 - 5 (Tempo) = 2 + 10 (Oran Berry) = 12
Items:

Max Elixer (2)
Oran Berry (3 - 1= 2)
Reviver Seed
Poison Dust (Raises Attack and Special Attack by 5) -Reduces Energy Cost of Pokemon by 1.

Silverdawn slithered through the muck and mire, making sure to stay above the mudline so that Yigo, who was riding on her back, wouldn't get in the mud. It was slow going, making their way through the swamp while trying to avoid the deeper areas.

Silverdawn cast her senses behind her, where she could hear Tempo sloshing through the mud as well. "I think we've made it to the Misty Mire," she commented thoughtfully as they made their way forward, Yigo still clinging to the scales on her back.

"I really hope this Shaymin pokemon thanks us for what we're doing for it.
My scales will never get clean at this rate,"
Silverdawn grumbled under her breath. The mud was clinging to her like leeches to a warm body. As she slithered through the mud, it occurred to her that she had a couple oran berries in her bag. It might help restore her energy from trekking through the mud for ages.

She twisted her head around and stuck it in the bag she was carrying around her neck, picking out an oran berry and gulping it down. She then thought that maybe her companions could use a pick-me-up, too. "Would you guys like an oran berry?" she offered to the group at large.

It felt like ages since they started swimming through the marshy "waters" of the area... It was exhausting to the poor Oshawott, but it was most likely annoying to walk through for Silverdawn, as well. Yigo didn't even bother swimming, since he wasn't exactly built for it.

Soon, he stopped and floated on the marsh's mud, exhausted from trying to swim through the marshy and sticky waters of the place. "Agh... This is... so... exhausting..." he said to everyone. He saw Silver trudge through the marsh and offer an Oran Berry, clearly noticing Tempo's condition. He happily eats it, feeling a bit better and ready to continue swimming through the marsh.

[Energy. Escorted => 0 ]

The Mire. Seeing ground corrupted by water was not exactly pleasant. What was once dirt became a sea of mud that Tempo and Silverdawn had to swim through while Yigo could do nothing but hang on to Silverdawn´s back until they could find a relatively solid patch of dirt, stone or anything that the Sandshrew could stay on without sinking. Even though he didn´t have to move, just the act of being in the Arbok´s back tired him greatly. Yigo knew he couldn´t hold onto her much longer, his muscles in pain and about to give up. His partners seemed to be exhausted as well but they had a reason to: they were the ones that got them into the Mire.

Yigo couldn´t be happier to hear that they were planning on taking a break to eat something. Maybe that was the time to finally use the Sitrus berry. However, Silverdawn´s sudden move trying to reach her bag was too much for the Sandshrew´s poor muscles, making him fall from the Arbok´s back, his satchel´s string getting stuck on the serpent´s skin and making it open up completely. Fortunately, he fell onto dry mud instead of the sludge his friends had to swim in while his items suffered the same fate as Yigo. Four crystal spheres that he had gathered through his adventures, the Cheri berry he had found back in the marsh and the Sitrus berry he had tried to hide were scattered across the visible ground for anyone to see. Yigo moaned after the fall, clearly tired and in pain. His back ached and it refused to curl in to make it easier for the Sandshrew to stand up "Oh... No..." he muttered after hearing all of his items fall "I... I-I´ll... pick it up... s-sorry" Yigo rolled sideways to get on his fours, slowly picking up his items one by one... until he reached the Sitrus berry. He couldn´t even contain himself at that point, he was too hungry and thirsty to miss that chance to bite on the berry. Leaving all of the items he picked up previously in front of him he started chewing on the Sitrus berry, regaining some energy and making him recover from the tiring ride.

[Sitrus Berry (+15). 15 + 0 = 15]

After finishing his little snack, he looked at both of his friends embarrassed, unable to establish eye contact with them "I-I´m... s-sorry... I should have offered you some..." he apologised in a quiet voice seeing how the Silverdawn not only had offered him a ride to the mire but she also had offered them berries to regain strength. Yigo felt guilty. He had been selfish to the ones he should be trusting, the ones that were helping him in the first place. How could he make it up for such a terrible act? The items in front of him gave him an idea. His satchel was ruined and he wouldn´t be able to fix it for a while. He had no way to carry his items around. He looked at both of the Pokemon, expecting them to hear him out "H-Here... take these!" he shouted with his eyes closed in an impulse, pushing two of his orbs away "You must know how to use this better than I do!" He shouted one last time before remembering where he was: somewhere unsafe. He quickly lowered his voice "My b-bag... it´s broken... I can´t carry all that I had now"

(OOC: Each of you can have a House Orb and use it to find the needed Pokemon. Good luck!)

Silverdawn felt it when Yigo tumbled from her back, and she turned to him, tongue flickering out of her mouth. "Are you ok, Yigo?" she asked in concern. She smelled it when Yigo bit into something sweet, most likely a berry. "Ah, you've got a berry of your own... You don't need my oran berry, I guess..." she placed the oran berry back in her bag, and returned her attention to the other two pokemon.

Yigo was bemoaning the fact that he hadn't offered them part of his berry. Then he pushed something across the ground; Silverdawn heard it move. She leaned down and flickered out her tongue, hitting a glass ball. "What kinds of orbs are these?" she asked, taking one in her mouth and placing it into her pack. The other could go to Tempo if he wanted it.

"You came prepared, huh, Yigo?" Tempo asked when he saw him take out some orbs and a Sitrus Berry. But apparently, Yigo didn't know what the orb did, and he apparently broke his bag, as well... "Oh... Well, maybe I can help fix it..." He says, offering help. He looks at the orb, too, but he didn't really know what it was... "Looks pretty, though."

"I guess we're all set to continue, right?"
Tempo said, looking at the others, who are seemingly prepared to trek through the rest of these awful marsh lands... Really, Tempo actually wanted a break from the "water" and just wants to be on dry land, again...

Yigo watched as both of the other Pokemon agreed on taking some of his gear, even if they were going to use it and not just carry it. The crystal spheres shone in a dim light that barely lit up its surroundings. The ones that Yigo offered to his companions shone in a different colour from the ones he kept "Those are... house orbs... Darcy told me their name... but I don´t know what they do..."  The Sandshrew looked back at his bag, strings still attached to Silverdawn´s scales. The satchel wasn´t of any use to him now that it couldn´t hold his items.

Tempo offered to help with it but the Sandshrew remembered that someone else was already in the line "O-Oh... if you could... no, it´s too broken. Shaymin still needs our help, this can wait" Yigo tried to hold on all of his remaining items at once but, after stumbling and having them fall once more he opted for another solution "S-Silverdawn...c-can I... can I use your bag?" he said picking all of his items once more. Some of the items had to be retrieved from the muddy sludge but, at the end, he suffered no further losses "I just need to... I´d like to... Can it hold these?" he responded, getting as close as he could to the serpent tail wagging lightly with impatience. If she refused to let him carry his items in her bag Yigo could always bury them down and go back to get them when his bag got fixed. However, the Mire was not exactly a place he´d like to come back to.

Silverdawn cocked her head to the side. "House orbs, huh? I think... they summon pokemon, don't they?" She said, swinging her head between the two other pokemon. She listened as Yigo mourned his old bag, parts of the bag still hanging from her scales.

"Uh, sure, you can keep your stuff in my bag..." Silverdawn said when she was addressed. She opened her bag with her head, and lowered herself so that Yigo could place his stuff in there.

Once he had, she would straighten up and take out the house orb. "Maybe we can summon the trespassers with these orbs."

House orb... So that's what this mysterious orb is called. It was a good idea, too: Silverdawn mentioned that they can be used to attract Pokemon. "Really? Do we want to do that? I don't want to be outnumbered..." Tempo said, since he's not exactly trained for battle, but Silver seemed to already use the orb. "Looks like we're fighting, anyway..."

He saw Yigo's bag in terrible condition. If Silver didn't offer her bag, already, he would've offered his own. "Alright, then, we can use your bag." He decided that since they're already gonna be attacked by the intruders, he decided it might be a good idea to get it over with, but to make sure they're not attacked by everything but the plants underwater, he threw it somewhere far away after activating it.

Rewarding Rescues Empty
PostSubject: Re: Rewarding Rescues   Rewarding Rescues EmptySun Sep 17, 2017 10:35 pm

Yigo gathered his things and started saving them inside Silverdawn´s bag while she explained what she thought about the House Orb. According to the Arbok, they summoned Pokemon to their position, the trespassers. Yigo was not native to the marsh so, wasn´t him a trespasser as well? Next, Tempo brought up the fact that they might need to fight them and that summoning them might not be such a good idea. Yigo agreed with his friend but, before he could try to argue with the Arbok, she had already activated it. Not only that, Tempo threw the one he had taken after activating it as well. The sound of shattered glass echoed through the mire as a gust of pure, fresh air made it clear that something was bound to happen.

The Sandshrew´s senses started picking strange readings from everywhere around them. They were a lot, too many to be counted by the young shrew. A wave of sludge coming towards them warned them about some Pokemon surfacing from the muddy and dirty waters while the sound of the plant life around them brushing and rubbing against something gave away the position of many others that were approaching from either the solidified mud or by hovering the sludge completely. Lastly, Yigo picked up distant shadows and hazed visions of intruders, Ghastly apparitions of green bodies floating around them. The number was too high, they were too much to handle. Unable to control himself, Yigo screamed in a panic, stumbling backwards trying to escape the ghosts of what was to come. They were surrounded, they chose to be surrounded and that was only what Silverdawn´s orb summoned!

"Silverdaaawn, Tempooo! Ruuun!" he shouted, trying to find a way out of the mire. However, the patch of dirt and solid mud he found had limited boundaries. There was no escape for the Sandshrew other than the river of mud. Looking for a solution, Yigo spotted a crystal orb nearby. It faintly glowed with a yellow hue, a colour Yigo remembered. Did he forget about that orb when his bag ripped apart? Darcy had called them Petrify Orb before. Not knowing what it actually did or how to actually use it, Yigo jumped towards the orb, elegantly pouncing and catching it with his hands.

"Work, work, work..." he chanted, expecting that his wish to make it activate was enough to trigger the orb´s effect. To his surprise, the orb shattered into dust without any visible clue that might suggest that it worked. Did it work? Yigo looked at his surroundings to check if the orb did something.

Items:

Max Elixer (2)

Silverdawn felt the heaviness in the air, moments after she shattered the orb. It was like the tension in the air before a thunderstorm, but worse. She then sensed, all around them, approaching pokemon. It felt like a ton of pokemon. Slime bubbled up from the mire around them, the telltale scent of a Muk carried through the air.

Silverdawn swung her head back and forth, trilling a series of clicks against the top of her mouth with her tongue, sending a wave of images into her mind. They were surrounded by pokemon: a duosion here, a swampert there, a quagsire there, and more... Silverdawn readied herself for battle.

Then she heard Yigo's panicked screams to run, and she rolled her sightless eyes. "The point of the house orbs was so we could summon the pokemon holding Shaymin captive!" she said. "We have to fight! Stand your ground!" she said bracingly. "Yigo; find your courage, somewhere deep within yourself. You can help take these guys. They won't defeat us!" She said bravely.

She struck out with a tail at the approaching quagsire. The dual ground/water type wailed as the poison struck its side. She lashed out with a bite, striking it on its shoulder. Then she slammed her tail into the ground, summoning a ton of rocks to bury the quagsire in them. The quagsire wailed, then struck out with a paw, sending a wave of water at Silverdawn. She felt the force hit her side, but she powered through the pain and went for another bite on the quagsire's other shoulder.

It was clearly a bad idea... He could hear the sound of many Pokémon running towards the group... "Sounds like we've got company..." The Oshawott was clearly scared, though... He prepared to battle the group, but he could feel something grab him, and could see it is a Swampert... "So-" He tried to call for help, but it didn't work... What also didn't help was the fact that the Swampert stuck him in a plant as a trap underwater, preventing him from surfacing for air... He was gonna drown, and there's nothing he could do, and he doubt the others knew where they were...

Rewarding Rescues Empty
PostSubject: Re: Rewarding Rescues   Rewarding Rescues EmptySun Oct 08, 2017 2:33 am

The orb became dust in front of Yigo. He was betting everything on that orb while his allies had called for him, they needed him to be brave and fight. However, unbeknownst to them, fights were never Yigo´s strong point, his lack of confidence and desires to flee were enough to prove it. As much as he tried to summon some courage, he wasn´t able to even look back at the fight. Any foe attracted by those orbs seemed to be focused on those who had used the orbs. That meant that Yigo was safe as long as Silverdawn and Tempo continued to fight. Surely they both were able to fight, right?

Apparently, it was not the case, since Tempo shrieked until his voice suddenly drown. The Sandshrew was only able to catch a glimpse of what was happening: one of Tempo´s paws sinking in the filthy waters of the Mire and being replaced by a hideous creature. Meanwhile, the Arbok seemed to be entangled in combat with a monstrous Swampert. Yigo was unable to move at that point. He wanted to save Tempo but the Oshawott was in deep waters. Even if Yigo could take on the Swampert that had just dragged down Tempo he couldn´t even help him back. The only one that could save him at that point was the Silverdawn. That was enough to fill him with courage, enough to fuel a fire inside of him with which he would burn his opponents.

Without realising it, Yigo was already moving in to help Silverdawn fight that Swampert. With a brave yell and unsheathed claws, he tried to slash the side of the Swampert. However, upon contact, Yigo noticed that the claws just bounced off it. It´s hide was too resilient, he couldn´t even pierce it! The Swampert noticed the failed attempt and tried a counterattack by grabbing a fistful of mud. However, right after seizing a respectable amount of wet soil in its hands, its moves became twitchy. The twitches made the Swampert lose most of its agility until, after a few seconds, it had stopped moving completely.

Yigo looked at the Arbok after witnessing that anomaly to be certain that it had happened and to be sure that it didn´t happen to her as well "S-Silverdawn... w-what was-" Yigo shook his head for a moment before remembering what he was supposed to be saying. This was no time to be wondering were their luck came from, Tempo had to be saved "T-Tempo! O-Over there!" Yigo managed to stutter while pointing at his last known location "Get him back, please"

Silverdawn encircled the quagsire and squeezed, not stopping as she heard its bones creak and crack under the immense strain they were under. The quagsire wailed as she turned her head and sunk her fangs into its shoulder as she continued squeezing. The quagsire made a final squeak as its bones cracked further under the strain, and the pokemon went limp underneath her.

Silverdawn uncurled from the quagsire, lashing out at the next attacking pokemon, leaving the bloody, crushed body where it lay. She cried out as the attacking malamar zapped her with one of its tentacles. She lashed out at it, fangs sinking into squishy flesh. The malamar shrieked and beat her head with its two tentacles, both crackling with electricity. She winced, drawing her head back before lunging forward and attempting the same tactic she had tried with the quagsire: encircling the malamar in her thick body. She squeezed, and felt more than heard the malamar squeal in pain beneath her body.

Then the malamar went limp, and it took Silverdawn a moment to realize it wasn't because of her strength -the sounds of battle around them had stopped too, and she looked up to realize that all the pokemon around besides Yigo had frozen. Tempo was nowhere in sight.

Yigo looked up at her and yelled frantically, pointing to the water. "T-tempo! Over there!" he cried.

Silverdawn dove into the water, her body unwinding from around the malamar, streaking into the water. The swampert that had grabbed Tempo had frozen too, with its arms around the water weasel. Silverdawn struck at the arm that held Tempo prisoner, and suddenly the swampert came to life, as if nothing had happened. It swung an arm at her through the water, and Silverdawn took the hit, getting in between the swampert and Tempo. She flicked Tempo upward with her tail as she sunk her teeth into the swampert's side.

She wrapped around the swampert, but its thick armor was too tough for her to pull the same trick as she had with the quagsire and the malamar. She uncurled and shot to the surface, breaking the surface and breathing in fresh air as she flailed around blindly for a moment as the water churned around her and then the swampert was dragging her down again.

She struck at the swampert's hide repeatedly, unable to use her tail as a weapon, as the swampert held her tail in its large hands. She curled around the swampert and squeezed, unable to do anything else as she slowly drowned.

As the poor otter ran out of air, he though of a plan to try and take the Swampert with him by attacking its gills to drown the monstrous thing. However, it was holding onto him too tight... He squirmed and squirmed to get free, but nothing would get him out! Plus, his lungs burned with the need for air...

He heard the splash of the blind Arbok and saw her attack the Swampert, but not before freeing Tempo and throwing him to land. When he reached ground level, he gasped heavily to regain his strength, then saw the Pokémon she managed to kill before she went after the Swampert.

He hugs Yigo to show that he’s OK... But realized that Silver isn’t back yet... ”Shit!” The otter cursed under his breath before diving in again to see a drowning Arbok. This time, he used the element of surprise and cuts down the Swampert’s gills, causing its next breath to be met with choking and struggling. It fired Hydro Pumps at Tempo as it swam up, but Tempo’s Assurance assured it stayed under long enough to gurgle its consciousness away. Afterwards, he pulls Silver to the surface and checks to make sure if she’s OK... as well as use CPR if neccessary, even if he didn’t really know how to use it...

Rewarding Rescues Empty
PostSubject: Re: Rewarding Rescues   Rewarding Rescues EmptyWed Feb 07, 2018 6:35 pm

Seeing the serpent dive into the water made Yigo regain hope. Silverdawn had been able to rescue Tempo when he got attacked in the water even though she was blind. Was she able to see when she was underwater? The dust and mud clouded the water´s surface, making Yigo unable to see what could be happened in the depths. His eyes instead focused on the frozen bodies of the foes surrounding him. He didn´t understand how they got paralysed nor how much it would last. What if they start to move again? His claws couldn´t even make it past the hide of a foe and he was sure that any of the invaders could take him on without issues. He wasn´t able to run either, stuck in that safe spot where water couldn´t reach him.

His back left foot began feeling something sticky. Had the ground sink or something? No, it was something worse, much much worse. Right on his back lied the lifeless body of a Quagsire, a small river of ichor streaming from its side. It was dead, DEAD! It would not move again, walk eat or smile. Its wishes and dreams deleted, their family left alone on their own. Yigo let out a loud scream as it slowly curled into himself, turning away from the sight of that corpse and rolling away from the small pool of life wasted on that desolate place.

A splash of water was heard from a distance. Were not all of the enemies dead in their tracks? Upon uncurling, shaking and squeaking in a low tone, he managed to sight Tempo surfacing from the water. The Oshawott had wasted no time in getting close to him and recomforting Yigo with a hug. Why could they only hug in those circumstances? Either way, it was nice to have someone´s shoulder after seeing death looming over them... but Tempo didn´t seem scared. The Oshawott was still prepared and resolute as shown by his following actions.

It had left Yigo, again, to venture into the water once more. "Nooo!" The Sandshrew screamed, barely noticing that Tempo had left his arms. He extended his own after stepping forward but it was too late "Don´t go back in... please... don´t leave me..." If anything happened to Tempo... Yigo would not be able to act or rescue him... and he wouldn´t stand to leave him there on his own either. The only thing the ground type could do was to wait, sitting on the muddy shores.

Hopefully, to his surprise, Tempo did manage to come back, carrying Silverdawn with him. What a true hero that he was! But... Silverdawn was not moving... she wasn´t awake. "W-What is happening, Tempo... don´t tell me that..." he uttered, scared of finishing the sentence while trying to get those dark thoughts out of his mind. Everything was going to be alright, right?
