Seems like a normal forest after all, but there are indeed quite a few Pecha Berries around. A lone Kecleon thought while sitting somewhere in Pecha Forest. She sighed and looked around a bit before picking up her bag. It was empty, she didnt think she'd need anything for such a place as this. She wandered over to the forest in search of some kind of entertainment, but so far it's nothing but natural forest.

mhrr... Guess the explorers were right. These dungeons, they do indeed seem like normal places, but then why is it so draining when you enter them and why is it, items just happen to be lying around. as she was thinking that she heard a noise just off in the distance. Finally! Something... Hopefully... Probably should hide though. she went over to a nearby tree and shifted her color as best she could. She hasnt mastered it still. If she moved she would be seen, and she usually never takes into account her belly pattern not changing, but this time she did, she crouched to hide the pattern abit better.

Cub walked down the path that he thought lead to the exit. As before mentioned he dosen't really care where he is going. What if they care? Cub wondered. Most Pokemon like to know where they are going so if they keep following him they might have a problem. Cub looked back to see how the others where doing and he saw The others still off a ways. The mean Piplup seemed to be acting weird as he slowly trudged behind Yooka. Cub turned back ahead and saw that as they got further from the clearing the path became more cluttered with plants and bushes. Cub continued until. {WHAM! WHAM!}Cub didn't even see what hit him as he flew backward and landed about a foot away from where he was before.

He stood up and saw a Nidorina standing (slouching?) there. Her mostlikely boyfriend following close behind. Cub could see from here the poison particly dripping from his horn. they look too smart to be feral. Cub thought to himself. Of course he could be wrong. Feral or not they looked ready to fight and he knew there was no way to avoid what happened next. He stood up but wobbled a bit. Still a little dazed by the sudden double kick. What started out as a peaceful walk though the forest has just turned into a nightmare. Cub growled at the Nidorino hoping to make him let his guard down. Hopefully the Cub could get a shot in without getting poisoned.

She was watching the cubone as she got closer. Yooka turned to check up on the piplup to see him... lagging behind. is he really that slow... but then the piplup called out to slow down really oddly, like it was begging. The piplup managed to reach Yooka before it nearly collapsed. Oh lord. I thought only Kecleon's were able to color change... wait, is it sick? as she started to check for signs of sickness she heard a noise in the direction of the cubone. When she went to look, she stopped checking the piplup. The cubone was being attacked by the Nidorin couple. She changed to a blue-green color, for a couple seconds, she calmed down enough to remember something.

"Gods, damn it! Not now." She looked back at the piplup. "Do I have to make a moral choice...? no, I can save both... think. Sickness... poison? pecha berry... AH, that Aipom! Thank you Divine Aipom..." she quickly pulled out the Pecha Berry, the mysterious orb spilled out in her hurry. huh? this orb... yes. I may have to take my chances. she handed the Pecha Berry to the piplup. "Don't ask just eat it. I need to go."

Leaving the piplup to itself. Hoping it takes the berry. She started to run over to the cubone holding the orb. "If your like the other one, then tossing you at the enemy should warp them." However when she tossed the orb at the enemy, instead of casing the two Nido's in a ripple in space/time, it floated next to them while sending out an extremely scary aura that locked them in place. Thankfully it only effected the two Nido's "Run, cub! it's to dangerous around them!"

The kecleon appeared to have complied with his plea, not just slowing down but stopping outright. Clovis caught up to her, groaning a bit from the effort, and clumsily stopped his movement once they were next to each other. The piplup began catching his breath as he stood, out of balance, next to Yooka. Clovis did not protest when she started looking him over. In any other circumstance, he would have felt degraded or perturbed from the examination, but in his sudden, panic-inducing spot of illness the presence of someone, even a stranger taking concern for him was a comforting feeling. But just as soon as this good feeling had come to him, it was gone as Yooka started shouting to the gods and uttering something about 'saving them both'. Clovis opened his beak and prepared to ask just what exactly she was talking about, but a sudden fit of soreness in his throat and being given a soft, pink fruit interrupted him.

Clovis looked at the fruit. It was clearly a pecha berry, the fruit for which the surrounding area was named. They were known for their use as a 'miracle cure-all' for venoms and poisons, and while Clovis would have very much appreciated some kind of remedy, he was fairly certain that he hadn't been poisoned. He was definitely certain that he hadn't seen any poison pokémon. So he was confused as to why he had been given this. But the kecleon gave him clear instructions: "Don't ask just eat it. I need to go." So he leaned against a nearby tree, opened his mouth, tried to ignore his nausea, and took a bite out of half the fruit. Its sweet taste was, unfortunately, overshadowed by his aches, but if the kecleon was right to administer him a pecha berry, those would soon be disappearing.

Speaking of disappearing... where did those two run off to?

He saw a strange orb hover over the Nidos and froze there in mid-air. When it started to emit a strange aura he started to freak out. Then he heard Yooka's warning He complied running away as fast as he could from the strange aura. He stood behind Yooka preparing for the moment to arise when the Nidos would be unfrozen and attack again. He knew the strange orb had power but he had no idea of the possibility of it warping the pokemon away.

What happened to that Piplup? He wondered.

To Yooka's semi-surprise the orb wasn't the same as the other one. She mumbled to herself"That's weird... it's acting differently. It isn't a warp orb is it?" She still watched the two Nidos as the cubone went behind her. When she became aware that the orb wasn't going to warp the Nido's she turned towards the cubone and said,"I want to leave this dungeon before nightfall, things like this become far more common at that time. Well, If you want to come with me back to grassveil, that's up to you. she looked back to see the piplup leaning against a tree. Yooka then pointed to the piplup, "But, meet me back with the piplup, and also tell him about me leaving if anything happens or if he's still not feeling well, I'll be taking him back to grassveil with me. she looked back at the orb I want to go check something first...

After softly nudging the cubone towards the direction of the piplup, Yooka catiously approached the Nidorina and Nidorino. when she got close she could feel the evil pressure coming from the orb. Geez, what have I done? she tried to get closer to the orb but the pressure started to get too great, she backed off shaking her head, I think it made them Petrified... ah, duh. Petrify orb. why didn't I notice sooner. she looked back at the couple. They indeed, had a terrified look on their faces and their eyes were completely blank. Yooka frowned... Were they really just a couple and the cubone just stumbled upon them? argh... but, heh. serves them right for hurting a kid.

Clovis wiped the crumbs of the pecha berry off of his face, then again for good measure, taking care that not a single drop of juice stained his feathers. Any time was a good time for vanity, afterall. Clovis had to admit, the kecleon made an awfully clever move giving him that pecha berry. He could feel an almost immediate relief in his stomach, as though it were being cleansed by the presence of pecha, although Clovis was fairly certain that any effects he was feeling at this point were purely placebo. The piplup returned to an upright stance with moderate difficulty, breathing with some trouble, but less so than before. Still however, he ached across his body. Clovis could only hope the berry would start working soon.

Clovis decided that now would probably be a good time to go looking for the two strangers. While the cubone's unusual tastes in headwear made him uncomfortable and brought some unfortunate implications, just about any non-hostile face would have been a welcome sight while he was all alone and exausted in the dark forest. The piplup took a few clumsy steps before noticing the pair of strangers off in the distance, standing in front of a nidorino and a nidorina. Confident that he hadn't been abandoned, Clovis went back over to the tree and began taking deep breaths to keep up his strength.

Cub ran as fast as he could. The fear of nightfall leading him from the forest. He pasted the Piplup at a rapid pace. Back in the clearing where they met the Tangela. He Turned and saw another path. One abit more twisty then the other where Yooka was still on. Cub was about to head down the path but then he remembered something.

Oh no the Piplup! Cub had been so afraid about what might happen at night he forgot about the Piplup. He ran back to where the Piplup was. Out of breath Cub returned to the spot and began to apologize incoherently. I just didn't see you. he said not even bring himself to look at the Piplup.

Yooka walked up to the Nidorin' couple, tempted at stealing an item or two, but thought it was already as mean as it comes and decided it wasn't worth it. They pretty much are scared literally out of their minds. I shouldn't make it worse and anyway I should be going back to the piplup, nothing more to look at anyway. As she was walking towards the Piplup. She noticed the cubone was no where to be found. Oh, you got to be kidding me."Oi. Piplup. where's the cubone?" she started to get pretty angry. It's not often she cared for something. She doesnt exactly care for the cubone, she just wanted to figure out what memories his amnesia effected, but now she's kind of lost interest, due to him being to much of a hastle to keep up with. You know what. The cubone's thoughts can wait. I need to figure the differences between the orbs...

She sighed, closed her eyes, shook her head softly, and crossed her arms. She opened her eyes but kept her posture just to notice the cubone returning in the distance, which caused her to suddenly ask a different question. "um, Nevermind... Hey, piplup, need a lift, I could carry you out of here if your still feeling bad. How about a ride on my head. I had a friend when I was a kid who rode inbetween my frills." She pointed to her head as she explained her friends riding location. She noticed to cubone finally returned. It made a rather quick apology to the piplup, stating that it didn't see it. oh... you didn't see it alright. I'm starting to think, this memory problem is just him... she went behind the cubone, He looks exhausted, perhaps he wouldn't mind if I take that skull off his head. heh... actually he probably would mind. smirking, she raised a hand to grab his helmet.

((ooc: I guess this could work... it fits vonsteakhands post if you give it a stretch... and it would fill the gap on that vibe the cubone got in his post, but now... I have to wait. and I hate waiting without knowing when the next post/edit's potential arrival is.

Clovis kept himself propped up against the tree as he watched Cub zoom by him like a zubat out of the badlands. "Yeesh, someone's in a hurry." Clovis mumbled to himself. What, did he forget his pelvis belt and collarbone scarf? Clovis grinned a bit, that was a good one-liner. He decided that he would save it for later.

Then came Yooka, at a much more leisurely pace. She approached him, and asked him about where the cubone had gotten off to. In response, Clovis looked over at the path Cub had passed down, and pointed at it, but the kecleon was too busy keeping her eyes closed and shaking her head to notice. Clovis scowled momentarily and readied himself to point at the path again, but was interrupted by the kecleon saying "Nevermind" and offering him a ride on her head. The piplup waited a moment to make sure that he wouldn't be interrupted a third time. He opened his beak to *finally* respond to a question... when he was interrupted for the third time in a row by the cubone returning and giving him a pitiable half-apology. Clovis decided that he would say something quickly so that he would have a chance to speak, so he spat some snark at the cubone. "Of course you didn’t. Certainly, it must be difficult to see out of that helmet of yours." Clovis paused to take a breath, as the pecha berry still hadn't finished cleansing him entirely of his affliction. "Frankly, I think you'd be better off going bareheaded." He scoffed.

Cub glared at the Piplup. How could he say a thing like that about my helmet? Suddenly Cub felt angry tword the Piplup. It was ok to make fun of him but for some reason. The Piplup struck a nerve with Cub talking about his helmet like that. I'm! Cub started to shout back but couldn't finish as he was interrupted by the strange feeling of something changing around him. Are we being attacked? It didn't feel like this was a Pokemon move. Little did he know the group was far from it. He as completely unaware of what Yooka had tried to do.
