Extra Move Slot Price Poll

As you may or may not know, back at the beginning of April we held a vote as to whether we would implement extra move slots into the site. The vote result was that we would allow characters to have up to 6 move slots in total, with four of those natural, and two available to purchase for poke.

This new poll will serve to decide the ultimate pricing for these two extra move slots and the options you can vote for are as follows;

• 800 poké per extra slot
  
• 1000 poké per extra slot
  
• 1200 poké per extra slot
  
• 1500 poké per extra slot

This poll will end on the 23rd of May and the extra move slots will be available to purchase for the price that this poll will decide, starting from May 24th.

1000 seems to be the fair middle ground. 800 doesn't feel enough and 1500 makes my head spin, to be quite frank.

Honestly, my vote would have to go for 800. Not because it's the cheapest but because 1000 is the price of a new Thread Slot. And I feel like an extra move slot is less important and functionally does less for a character than a thread slot, considering how little what moves you're using really matter that much, since there's no real mechanics behind their use. As such, it should be a bit cheaper.

I feel that any extra move slot would open up more avenues for roleplay, similarly to an extra thread slot. That's still a fair argument for 800 though.

While that is true, I do not personally think that that amounts to a price that equals a new thread slot. Your actual moves are all about your Pokémon's personal taste and/or battle style. Or at least, that's how I feel it should be. Ultimately, though, it does less for you. Heck, a new thread slot even opens up the ability to earn additional Poké faster by allowing you 6+ active threads instead of 5.

I'm really fine with either one of the lower two prices anyway, regardless of my vote for 1000. I can definitely see where you're getting at with the 800 vote.

I chose 800 due to a similar logic as Digizel's. Actually, it pretty much is the same reason.
Heck, I think 900 would work also for this one.

I'm going to have to go 800 on this one. Sure, it opens up new avenues of RP like a thread slot, but this is just another aspect of a roleplay instead of an entire new RP. It's not too cheap because each player would need to post at least 40 times to get a new slot, which means it would take a whopping 80 posts to max out a character's total number of move slots. With enough time and dedication, even new players would be able to easily get more moves yet still making it about an equal challenge for older players. Not to mention that having 1000 Poke per move slot would mean you could have bought two entire thread slots instead.

I picked 800 for any other reason other than it's the cheapest. However I will claim it's similar to Digi's reasoning.

At the moment, I'm interested in seeing what sort of IC explanation we could possibly have for unlocking two additional moveslots. Because, y'know...
