Try not to BUG OUT

Eve wasn't too happy, eyes darting around. Her adventure was supposed to be fun. She was supposed to be going out to far off lands, finding amazing things, find out amazing forgotten heroes. Just like the stories she was told. But upon coming here, a bad pokemon had attacked her and a good small pokemon had to try to stop him. Luckily they had gotten out of that. This place was nothing like home. Maybe there were bad pokemon because there were so many. Eve could easily name all the pokemon back home because there were not so many. At the moment, Eve was holding her bag in her little arms in front of her, using it as a shield in case something else came at her. She had never felt so helpless, having to face such a mean pokemon. Just how many pokemon were like that one that attacked her... or worse?!

The Mothim chuckled brightly at the Ralts's ideas. They were certainly grand! And he had to admit they might just help with any funding that the Windrose Scouts might need, should they be able to find the things worth writing about to the masses in the world.

"Hehee! I think that's an awesome idea," he smiled, encouraging Eve's creativity to continue. It was great to see someone this young with so much to offer. He just hoped he could help encourage the Ralts to grow further by joining the Windrose Scouts.

"Okay then... for your challenge, how about... You have to find two orbs in Shadowhue Forest," he replied, pausing for a moment in between his words as he considered what sort of challenge he would set Eve.

Eve grinned at the positive reaction to her idea. "Well if we find useful stuff, we should share. Right? I mean, why wouldn't we want t share something that would help everyone?" At the mention of the challenge, Eve thought. She knew about orbs from school. They were found in mystery dungeons which this Shadowhue Forest must have been. A mystery dungeon... could be dangerous. "Okay but... You will come with me, right Mister Russell? I've never traveled away from a town alone so I don't know if I'd do so good. I can get the orbs myself, but you could watch me... right?"

"Well you've also got to be careful who you share it with. Some information should be kept away from the bad pokemon in the world," the Mothim commented, knowing that there were some unsavoury types in the world and it was his responsibility as the founder of the Windrose Scouts to keep any sensitive information that could be dangerous in the wrong hands away from those who would use it for the wrong reasons.

Moving on, the Mothim nodded to Eve, "Sure," he smiled. He wouldn't normally participate in the entry challenges in any way, due to the fact that it was meant to be a test of the pokemon's abilities. However in this particular case, Eve was a little young to be going anywhere alone and he had already said he would go with her to the dungeons around Grassveil. All in all, he didn't regret his decision.

Eve tilted her head. "keep information from bad pokemon? Well... she guessed it sorta made sense. But maybe if they were able to learn earlier, they wouldn't have chosen a bad path? Maybe bad pokemon were just those who were never given attention? Never given a chance to learn better? maybe if they were given more a chance, they could be good? That would be a good idea, but for now she had to focus on the challenge to join the scouts.

Eve sighed in relief when Russel agreed to come with her. "Thank you Mister Russell. You are a good pokemon. I promise I'll do the challenge on my own. I'll find the orbs on my own. Just having you with me however makes me feel a little braver. Thank you. So... I'm ready to go when you are. Everything I have is in this bag."

Russell smiled once more as the young Ralts thanked him, "You're very welcome," he grinned. He really didn't mind at all. After all, he loved exploring and he was glad to help another pokemon begin their own journey of learning the ins and outs of exploration and discovery. Of course, even he wasn't perfect when it came to his own adventures, but perhaps he could help Eve, even if it was just by being there to help her feel braver whilst she explored.

"I'm ready to go whenever," he replied promptly, "I carry a lot of things in my own bag and so I don't think i'll need anything more."

Eve nodded, looking toward the town entrance and exit. "Okay, then let's go. You'll have to lead the way cause I dunno where it is... I promise to do my very best!" Then Eve started on her way out, by Russell's side. It was true, she did not have the most ideal of starts. She had gotten herself in danger with a dangerous pokemon and almost gave up. If it wasn't for the bug type right next to her, she probably would have gone running back home. But now she was back on the path she had set on in the beginning. The scouts seemed like the best chance she had of researching history and learning more about it. It was an adventure, just like in one of the stories she read. She couldn't wait to see where it led her!
