Frozen Heights - Page 4 Empty
PostSubject: Frozen Heights   Frozen Heights - Page 4 EmptyFri Mar 18, 2016 6:12 am

First topic message reminder :

Garnet: 12
Linus: 9
Acro: Enough....48
missions for Acro/Linus:

It was cold, not a problem for him through. The very snow around him gave way and melted with ease, the heat of the fire type forcing the snow to melt. Garnet stared up at the mountain once more, his long tail swishing behind him a bit. The tall white mountain was quite different from the dark crevice he had been beaten to a bloody pulp in not too long ago. The reptile glared at the peak, he wanted to go. Now. Ever since he had awoken and learned of what had occurred, he had felt an intense rage building within him far worse than what occured when he used Outrage. It was a more natural rage, pent up anger. Who was it directed at? Himself.

The charmeleon was leading, walking quickly as he wanted to get there quickly. It was annoying that the newcomer by the name of Acro and Linus had brought missions with them, it would slow them down. Hell, he couldn't even use Fire Blast now because of those two missions. His strongest move, gone. Just like that. Well, he could use it, but he would get in trouble. He had decided that overall he was friends with Sova. He almost kind of felt that he was allowed to be real around the glaceon, but still he was going to keep that whole taking joy in harming others on the down low. Wouldn't want to make it a habit now would we?

The charmeleon looked back ahead of him rather than looking up with narrowed eyes. He had been a grump ever since the events in the rift. While he had not taken it out on others by snapping at them or growling at them, he certainly showed it in his body language and growling to himself when he was alone. He certainly had a good hold on his anger with himself, but he was not bothering to hide it around this group like he would have around Garnet and Namataki. The two probably would have been terrified to see him angry, which is why he had cancelled his search for a bit, in order to come here and obtain one of the precious items hidden within the mountain.

Sova had invited him along on this journey to the mountain to obtain what was rumored to be the cursed items. Powerful items that could give great boosts in strength. Sure they had massive drawbacks, but he was willing to do anything to make sure he wasn't slammed against a wall again.

--

The archeops followed along behind the charmeleon, alongside a client. The vanillish needed to be escorted to a friend, a slurpluff. It was a bit of an odd combonation fo friends, but who was he to judge? He barely had friends in the first place. Acro was a bit unsure of this newcomer Sova had brought along. He seemed to be angry, the charmeleon had barely said anything to him. Apparently this charmeleon was the friend of the snivy's they had come across. If they just knew where the hell the snivy went afterwards, they could have told this charmeleon where to look for his friend. Was he angry about that?

The glaceon had not told him the specifics of where he had met the charmeleon, so he was not exactly sure what was going on between the two. The archeops was walking, keeping himself paced with the charmeleon and the glaceon. The vanillish beside him seemed to be looking around and amusing itself, "oo"ing and "ah"ing at the pretty sites of the frozen forest.

The archeops glanced up to the skies, where a dark bird flew. Dark not only in typing and color, but in mind. Linus had been acting differently as of late, worse than even before the events in Monochrome Ruins. He was snapping at everything, he seemed to be angry with everything. He had not yet informed Sova of the situation, but he believed that Linus had been touched by the madness that had started up when the events of Giratina's Rising began. He felt awful. It was his fault wasn't it? Maybe that curse was a real thing after all, the superstitious bird should have left. He should have flown far far away.

Acro looked down to the ground he walked on and merely focused on it. He wanted to get this mission over with, he wanted to grab that ability suppressent that was rumored to be in the ruins as well. Maybe things would be better if he wasn't so damn useless? Would he be able to help Linus? What was even going on in Linus's mind right now?

--

The world is trash. Everything is useless, futile. the yelling started up in the bird's mind as he glared at the mountain ahead. Linus flapped his great wings, flying high above the group and out of the way. There was no way of holding a conversation with him, even if he were close to the ground. The honchkrow huffed as the yelling in his mind continued, Kill it all! Kill it all! Destroy it! Build anew! No, he should not. He knew what was happening. He was not some dimwitted simpleton that was just going to give in to the strange thoughts.

He was angry, he had always been angry as of late. Over the simplest things, even if the temperature was just slightly uncomfortable it always set him off. The honchkrow was having difficulty controlling this rage, and had found himself to be glaring at pokemon whenever he looked to them. His combat had become more vicious, and it felt as if all the fear he had once experienced in combat simply vanished.

It...it actually felt kind of...good. To be able to fight without fear for his life, to simply enjoy fighting for fighting. Who knew it could have been this fun? Concede! No, those weren't proper thoughts. Or were they? His mind was still clouded and plagued, the bird was confused, infected, and there was nothing he could do about it that he knew of.

Frozen Heights - Page 4 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Frozen Heights   Frozen Heights - Page 4 EmptyMon May 30, 2016 12:54 am

-Sova-

Linus didn't quite collapse into a pathetic heap from the attack. While Sova hadn't been aiming to cause any severe harm in the first place, he was still impressed. He was ready to hit again, and harder, if the bird tried to give any more backtalk, but this never happened. It was simply silent until Acro spoke up and took his attention away. He looked back to the archeops and gave a simple nod to show he was in agreement for this "talk" they would need to have. He expected it would be something along the lines of Acro getting all mad at him for hitting Linus, but he wasn't going to apologize for it. However, before that happened, there was something else that needed to be handled in the form of a snorunt.

The glaceon looked toward the little creature to see it patiently standing there, awaiting its answer. He began a slow approach toward it as he started up speaking: "Yes, we have supplies. And if you're a thief, I hope for your sake that you have friends."
He stopped a mere few feet from the snorunt and stared at it with a look that wasn't exactly happy, but at the same time, wasn't a glare. For a moment, it simply gave an emotionless stare back. Then a glowing white ball formed in its hands, which it then tossed up into the air. The ball never came back down. "And what was that?" Sova questioned the snorunt.
Instead of an immediate answer, he merely got a chuckle from the creature as it began backing away.

"I do, in fact, have friends...." it started up.
As if in tune with its words, hail began to fall from the dark clouds in the sky. "And they are now on their way."

Sova didn't care about this development. It wasn't exactly surprising to him, and he wanted something to hit anyway. He darted toward the snorunt and stopped in front of it before speaking: "Too bad you won't get to see them die."
As he spoke, his fur bristled and froze into spikes. He spun around to whack the snorunt with his tail and send it very far away, but a rapidly approaching black orb forced him to stop when it finally reached him. It was a Shadow Ball, and the resulting explosion knocked him off his paws and sent him tumbling across the ground.

"I agree. But look on the bright side: maybe I'll get to see you die instead."

-Dusk-

It seemed like everything was going to be alright.... or however close things could get to "alright" with Sova around. The crow didn't seem to be too badly hurt, and the problem looked to be solved. Dusk was relieved for just a moment and stopped paying attention to what was going on, but the sudden explosion snapped her out of it. She looked up to see Sova on the ground and the snorunt scurrying away. What had happened?? She didn't want to ask and look like an idiot, but she kind of needed to know. It seemed relatively important to know who was suddenly attacking them. She found it hard to believe a little snorunt was capable of knocking Sova off his feet, so that meant there had to be someone else.... If only she'd been listening to the conversation, it would probably have been much clearer!

-Krikka-

The "fight" was rather short, but it was enough entertainment anyway. Krikka continued sitting in the background, listening in on what was going on without interrupting anyone. She personally would not have been one to even humor such a question from the snorunt, but she wasn't really in any place to complain about the choices of others. Besides, nothing bad was going to- SUDDENLY EXPLOSION. She jumped up from where she was sitting and ran straight over to the honchkrow, hoping their deal to watch each other's backs was still good. Sure, it seemed as if he wasn't too strong relative to this group, but it was better to have a weak ally than no ally at all; she wasn't exactly very strong either. "Hey there, partner," she spoke to Linus.

Hopefully, the bird wouldn't hold it against her that she didn't try to help him out with the angry glaceon. That seemed like a rather stupid decision, especially since he was a guild member who definitely wouldn't be killing anyone just for some sass. Or.... she thought so, at least, but maybe the guilds were darker than she thought.

Frozen Heights - Page 4 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Frozen Heights   Frozen Heights - Page 4 EmptyTue May 31, 2016 6:02 am

Pokemon that appeared: Piloswine x2, Cubchoo x4, Froslass x2, Beartic, Mamoswine x2, Snorunt x7, Glalie x4, Cryogonal x2

Acro was quite surprised by the sudden hail that rained down from above. He gave a frustrated squawk as the snorunt revealed itself to be rather villainous. Why did EVERYONE have to be an asshole these days?! Why couldn't they just come across some nice civilized pokemon having a freaking tea party or something?

The archeops's tail began to glow a bright light gray as he prepared for the battle ahead. He knew for certain from this little snorunt's demeanor that they weren't going to just go away because they asked nicely...though that would most certainly be ideal.

--

Linus stared up at the sky as the orb acted as a signal for the other pokemon. He spotted some movement just ahead of where they needed to go, and spotted quite a large army of pokemon.

"Knew it." he declared as he flared out his wings and launched himself up and over Krikka. As he did so, he grabbed Krikka's tail and dragged her along for the ride whether she liked it or not. He grabbed the client with the other talon as well and brought them back and farther away from the group to safety. He could take one look at that army and know that they were no match. He had placed the more stronger members with a token minority of Dusk between them and the army of pokemon that appeared.

They would be much safer here...

--

Garnet followed the orb into the sky and watched as it begun to hail. His attention was brought over to the significant amount of friends the pokemon seemed to have. He was quiet for a moment before he began to laugh, "Are you f*cking stupid?" he asked the snorunt. The laugh sounded a bit unhinged and strange even for Garnet due to the amount of stress and general emotional mess he currently was.

As soon as the laugh started, it ended. He spoke, "Your little signal literally just doomed well over half of your friends just then."

As much as he was beginning to hate Blizzard and get sick of it, he had to admit...that was an extremely stupid move on the snorunt's part. Sova just had to pretty much press the "die" button and over half of that army would be wiped out.

He'll be thrilled to pick off the leftovers though.

Frozen Heights - Page 4 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Frozen Heights   Frozen Heights - Page 4 EmptyTue May 31, 2016 10:33 pm

--------

The snorunt looked over to the charmeleon with an expression that appeared as if it thought the words were funny. "How so? Your friend here is the one on the ground, and soon, the rest of you will-" it started up.
Then the glaceon rising off the ground made it pause.

-Sova-

Sova laid on the ground for a moment, though it was more from his own frustration and doubt than from the attack. The Shadow Ball had been somewhat painful, but he'd been through far worse too many times to keep track of. He was just sick of the fact that he had to fight so much. Did he have to? Was it just a necessity to be so violent? A job that someone had to do? Did it make him evil if it was his sole job to hurt others? He was truly getting sick of a life of violence, and for a time, he'd thought that his aggressive tendencies were selfish on his part. However, seeing how badly his friends had just been hurt due to his attempt at a peaceful end to the conflict with the ditto was making him think that perhaps he had it wrong. Maybe he was selfish for striving for peace all due to personal doubts he was having.

"I guess peace is a privilege I don't have," he spoke to himself as he lay on the ground.
He then arose back to his paws with an oddly calm demeanor for someone who had just been attacked after giving out their trust. He was paying no attention to any of the talking going on. He looked into the distance to see a small army. A froslass fired another Shadow Ball at him from the distance, but he didn't even attempt to avoid it. The orb exploded on impact with him, but when the dark haze cleared, he was still standing as if nothing had happened. The froslass formed another dark orb in front of it, but before the attack could be fired, a sharp jet of wind and hail cut through it, causing it to explode and knock the fiend to the ground.

Sudden jolts of wind began pulling at the hail all around the enemies, dragging it into them and causing it to cut at them. All of the smaller enemies dropped to the ground fairly quickly, while even some of the stronger ones had difficulties standing through it. The single snorunt who had served as a messenger was not targeted by this attack, instead being allowed to sit and watch its group be torn apart. "Enjoy the show," the glaceon spoke in a calm voice.
When the snorunt turned to look at him, he was already gone. The froslass who'd been blown to the ground was just getting up when its arm was suddenly caught by something too fast for it to follow with its eyes. Before it could react, it was pulled by its arm and tossed back into the ground, kicking up a flurry of snow.

Next, the glaceon targeted a mamoswine. They were large and powerful creatures that he didn't want to have a chance to do anything. A Shadow Ball struck the one he'd targeted from the side, to which it responded by slamming one of its feet down and causing spikes of stone to ripple out of the ground in the direction the Shadow Ball had come from. This attack only hit one of its allied cryogonal, knocking it out of the air. Before the mamoswine could react any further, there was a swipe at its opposite side. Before it could turn, a gust of freezing wind filled with hail followed along the same path and knocked it off its feet, to the ground. Sova's tail had left bleeding marks on the mamoswin's hide. It wasn't quite unconscious, but he wasn't aiming to finish them all off on his own; he just wanted to incapacitate them enough to ensure that they wouldn't be hurting his friends.

-Dusk-

Dusk decided that rather than be around the unpredictable, dangerous powerhouse known as Sova, she was going to group up with someone else. She didn't know much about Acro, but he seemed calm and collected enough to.... well, calm enough to be trusted. Sova was best off given space and she knew this. "Acro, right?" she looked for verification as she ran over to the bird.
"Do you all have a plan, or-" she started up just as another explosion rang out.
Immediately, she stopped and looked toward Sova only to see a cloud of black haze around him from the Shadow Ball. For a moment, she was worried that being struck consecutively had seriously hurt him, but the haze cleared to reveal him still standing. He seemed completely unfazed by the attack.

"So.... do you have a plan?" she asked.

-Krikka-

Upon being picked up by the tail, Krikka's first instinct was to poison the culprit. She very much liked her tail; it was one of the few things in the world she liked, because it was a part of her! Thankfully, she had enough restraint to not immediately attack the guy she'd just agreed to a truce with. While being carried by her tail felt demoralizing and agitated her, she figured it was better than potentially dying due to being closer to the fight. She'd gathered that Linus was carrying her away from the potential death, thus, she was not interested in complaining. This was what she'd asked for, after all. Upon being placed back on solid ground, she immediately spoke up: "Aren't you planning on helping your friends....?"
Not that she cared, but this bird was interesting to her. Did he not care if his allies were hurt.... or worse?

--------

The snorunt watched with growing worry as its small army was dismantled. It looked back to the charmeleon who'd spoken to it before, seeking guidance. "How? What is this trickery?? What did you do to them!?"

PostSubject: Re: Frozen Heights   Frozen Heights - Page 4 EmptyTue May 31, 2016 11:57 pm

Acro was quite surprised by the numbers of the opponents, and when Sova had simply allowed himself to be struck by the attacks of the froslass. The archeops was speechless as Sova seemed to tear apart a majority of the army in one swoop of a blizzard. Dusk was talking to him, but he did not answer as Sova began to charge straight into the remains followed by a bipedal lizard with his tail on fire.

"I-Uh..." he babbled, his heart feeling as if it was stuck in his throat. He was being weak again! He turned around and looked for Linus as he snapped himself out of his trance. He saw that the bird had fled along with the client and that other umbreon, which was actually a good idea considering that meant he and Sova did not need to worry about the weaker ones.

He looked to Dusk then back to the army before he spoke, "Go back there with Linus and the client," he ordered despite her not being a part of his team, "Make sure they don't get hurt and...keep an eye on Linus, he's the honchkrow," he told the umbreon. Without giving an explanation, he rushed forward suddenly and took to the skies as a few glalie levitated themselves into the air in order to smash down on the opponents below.

The archeops gave a screech as some boulders ripped themselves out of the ground below him and launched themselves towards the glalie. There were four glalie total, and each one had a giant rock delivered into their face. However two of them merely opened their jaws and crushed the rocks with sheer power. Acro dove right for one of them, the round ice type opened its jaws in preparation for an Ice Fang just for the archeops. He turned at the last moment and allowed the momentum to carry him farther and slam his tail down onto the glalie's head before it could take a bite out of him.

The glalie was forced downward as it crashed straight into a Cryogonal that had been about to attack Sova. The two pokemon were down for the count with that impact, and were incapable of making themselves float once more. One glalie down, three to go.

--

Linus watched as Sova pressed the "die" button. Krikka was talking to him, but he did not even look to her as she asked if he was going to go help his friends. He felt nice and safe back here, where he would not be attacked or bothered by the aftermath of the attacks. Acro, Garnet, and Sova were all fighting, a bunch of pokemon he did not care about.

"They're not really my friends," the honchkrow spoke as he watched the battle and waited for a winner to emerge. He kind of rooted for the bandits that attacked to hurt Acro, hell even killing him would be great at this point. Then he could go home. "They're just shields," he elaborated a bit more to Krikka.

"W-wait aren't you Acro's teammate?" The client asked, a bit confused.

Oh...he forgot the client was here. Oh well, "Yes." he confirmed.

"Then shouldn't you be help-" the client started up only to be cut off by the interrupting bird.

"If I help I'll die. It's suicidal for him to even be participating in that mess, i'm not going to let my so called leader drag me to my own demise like a lost sheep," The bird snapped at the client...oh look that shut the ice cream cone up! Yay! :D

--

Garnet looked over to the snorunt as it spoke to him. His smile grew wide as he showed his sharp teeth to the creature, "I did nothing. This is allll you," he hissed. This was going to be fun. Yes. He may not be able to take his stress out on Sova, but this would do. He still wanted that fight with Sova though.

"Now do me a favor and hold still," he spoke as his arm suddenly hooked underneath the hat of the little snover. He began to drag the little snorunt along with him as he followed behind Sova...ok FAR behind Sova but he was making a bee-line for the beartic who was much closer.

The beartic reared up onto two legs and began to take in breath as it prepared to attack. Garnet merely snarled, "You idiot!" before bringing the snorunt a bit higher off the ground and letting it go. He gave a quick spin and managed to slam his tail into the snorunt's rear end and send the little ice type flying into the beartic's stomach. The bear bent over from the force as the pointed pokemon jabbed his stomach. A puff of frost emitted from the bear's mouth as its attack was interrupted.

Garnet rushed forward as his body began to emit a light purple light. He launched himself behind the beartic as it gripped its stomach in pain. He moved quickly as he spun himself around and slammed his tail into the bear's rump and forced it to be knocked over. He landed on top of the bear with a laugh and began to tear at the beartic's back with his claws.

The bear roared and bellowed in pain as it stood up and tried to shake off the pest on its back. Garnet had latched on with not only his claws but his teeth as be bit down on the back of the beatic's neck. The ice type flailed itself around and stood up on to legs as it tried to claw the charmeleon off of his back. Garnet wanted to burn this sucker so badly right then, but nooo he had to play by the rules and not burn down the forest. Damn restrictions from a stupid mission that wasn't even his...

He tugged and tore at the neck, not noticing a Cryogonal preparing a Hidden power attack just for him just above and behind him.

Frozen Heights - Page 4 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Frozen Heights   Frozen Heights - Page 4 EmptyWed Jun 01, 2016 1:43 am

-Sova-

The first enemy Sova's sights landed on was the next one he bolted for. He had spotted another froslass and two mamoswine, all grouped together, but the prior was the one he was really interested in. He just couldn't help but have a bias against froslass. It was directly between the two piloswine, which made it a difficult target, but it was also smart to take down the most fragile one first. He slammed into the ghost before it could react and brought it to the ground with his own body weight. The two larger enemies immediately noticed him, one charging straight at him while the other began manipulating the hail and wind toward him in a blizzard. He had the froslass pinned down on the ground with no intention of letting it go; he was not moving.

The wind carrying the hail all suddenly seemed to turn away from the glaceon, almost as if he had a wind-proof barrier around him It started up spinning in a circle around him, picking up in intensity as the other piloswine neared. By the time it reached him, the wind and pelting hail was fierce enough to blow it off-course and force it to run right past him. The froslass he was pinning swatted him in the face with a Wake-Up Slap, which knocked his head to the side, but he remained on top of it despite the attack. Both piloswine were now charging right for him from different directions and the froslass was about to slap him again.

"Tsk."

A dark orb formed in front of his face as he stared down at the vile creature. He paused for a moment, then fired the orb down onto the froslass and released the vicious blizzard winds outward at the same time. Both piloswine were close enough to be caught in the explosion on top of the blizzard and knocked clean off their feet while the froslass and the glaceon himself were obscured in the dark aftermath of the attack. He waited for a moment in silence to see if any of the enemies were getting up. They weren't. As the obscuring aftermath of his own attack cleared, he searched around for his next target. Acro was handling all of the glalie, while Garnet was taking on the beartic. His first instinct was to help the one who was outnumbered.... until he noticed a certain cryogonal was targeting Garnet.

With his preference for close-range combat, it was a bit problematic that he needed to help his allies who weren't in his immediate range. But, then again, it was merely his preference. His species excelled at long-ranged attacks, and he was by no means an exception. Sova's maw opened slightly and a light began to leak out in warning of what he was about to do. A Shadow Ball wasn't instantaneous to stop the cryogonal before it attacked, so he needed something a bit more intense. There was nearly no delay before a large, bright white beam was released from within the glaceon, reaching the cryogonal nearly instantly and knocking it clean out of the sky. The beam dissipated mere seconds after it had started up, leaving the wielder of the attack temporarily exhausted. He tried anyway to immediately help Acro as well, but when he opened his mouth once more, it created only sparks of light.... and pain. He nearly fell to the ground as his body threatened to give out on him from the excess strain.

-Dusk-

Upon being told what to do, Dusk's first instinct was to completely disregard it and do the exact opposite just to be rebellious. She didn't like being bossed around and wasn't afraid of hurting herself just to go against someone else's "orders." Despite this, she knew it was a good idea for her to just stay out of the way, and while she didn't like doing what someone else told her to, it was also what she wanted. Besides, making sure edge and edger didn't get hurt seemed like a noble enough cause to put her ego aside for. She made her way over to the bird and the other umbreon.... and the ice-cream cone, overhearing some of their.... interesting conversation in the process.

Linus did not seem to be a fan of anyone, including his own allies. Although he had seemingly protected the other, more annoying umbreon, so perhaps he just really had an odd preference in friends. "You sure seem fun," she remarked sarcastically.
Of course her frustrating clone had picked the biggest downer out of the entire group to get cozy with.

-Krikka-

A slight smile crept onto Krikka's face as she watched Linus go at it with the living dessert. He was just becoming more and more appealing to be around by the second. It helped that she fully agreed with everything he was saying. Despite the bird being a Guild member, she wondered if perhaps he was someone she had potential for working with in the future.... honestly. He didn't seem particularly interested in guild work and his morality looked to be rather dark, so it seemed viable enough to at least keep in mind. However, she wasn't even going to try something like that unless she was absolutely positive she could get out of the situation if it went south.

Just as she was starting to enjoy someone's company, the fun-to-annoy-but-not-fun-in-general umbreon by the name of Dusk decided to jump in. "Don't listen to her; I think you're fun," she spoke in response.
Despite her tendency to tell things that were less-than-truthful, this was no lie. From what she'd seen so far, she genuinely thought Linus seemed like someone she could tolerate being around for long periods of time. Sure, he also seemed like someone who'd leave her in a ditch in a heartbeat, but that was something she looked for in partners! It was so very easy to trust someone who was open about the worst of themselves. At least she would know that he'd leave her in a ditch.

Frozen Heights - Page 4 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Frozen Heights   Frozen Heights - Page 4 EmptyWed Jun 01, 2016 2:42 am

The archeops had taken care of one glalie, but now there was three left. He gave a loud caw as duplicates of himself began to appear around the air. Each one flew about as if it were the real Acro, and he managed to slam another Iron Tail into Glalie and pitch it down to the earth below.

Since it did not rise once more he assumed that it was down and out, leaving only two to worry about. Unluckily for him, each one glared at the different clones as the hail around them began to swirl and work against him, making it much more difficult to move. The archeops gave a another squawk as he charged straight for another, this time hoping to dive below it at the last second and smack it face first into the other glalie that chased behind him.

He ducked underneath the glalie just in time to smash into it, but the last glalie had seen the move coming and avoided it. It floated up and around the other glalie, but the winds still seemed to move against Acro and slow him down greatly. It was just enough for the Glalie to catch up with the real Acro and fly above him with a sinister grin as it opened its jaws with a maniacal laugh.

Acro's look of shock faded into a deeply displeased expression as he quickly realized there was no way of avoiding the attack, "...Shit."

The glalie unleashed the powerful blast of cold air and frost that froze the archeops over completely. The Sheer Cold attack blasted the archeops into the snow covered ground as well and created quite a large chunk of ice for the archeops to become entrapped in.

--

The two umbreons were currently arguing over whether or not he was fun. Fantastic. He really did not care at this point what happened, but he turned his attention back to the battle just in time to see Acro being blasted in the face with an immense amount of ice and frozen to the spot. He watched as the glalie laughed at its victory, how it had succeeded in where its brethren could not with this single Archeops.

He stared at the scene, he found one side of him wanting to smile and laugh at the fool getting what he deserved. The other side that was still sane wanted him to cry out in fear for the archeops's life. He certainly found himself emotionally conflicted over this development, and instead allowed the two umbreons to bicker over whether or not he was fun.

"I think our rides are about to died though," he commented as he saw Sova almost collapse. Ok, that one he thoroughly enjoyed.

--

Garnet was quite surprised by the sudden beam of light, but was forced to focus on his fight as the beartic thrashed about more and more. He looked up just in time to catch the movement of an incoming Glalie...oh that was useful. He released the neck of the beartic and pulled himself up and over its head. While he would have preferred to directly strike it with a Fire Blast, he instead breathed a puff of smoke mixed with a bit of embers into the bear's eyes.

"Now now there buddy, shhh shhh, no need to get upset, just move a little bit to the right and it'll all be over," he spoke as he dug his claws into the bear's neck wounds and directed the raging bear to the side. The bear had no choice but to listen to the charmeleon in hopes that the pain would be relieved as it failed time and time again to throw off the little pest. Just as it got the idea to flop over on its back, the charmeleon released it and jumped off of his ride.

The confused and blinded beartic was in the midst of an ever so scary roar just as a meteorite in the form of a glalie came crashing down from the sky and striking the bear head on. Neither of them got back up.

The charmeleon turned just in time to see the snorunt from earlier struggling up to get away. He smirked and grabbed back of the little guy's snow-hut-hat and dragged it right back, "And where do you think you're going?"

He heard a particularly loud blast and turned back around just in time to see the archeops be devastated by the ice type attack and Sova was nearly collapsing in attempt to perform yet another hyper beam or something. Crap, the two strong guys were down...well one was nearly down

"I still need you," he told the snorunt as he began to drag it along. He looked up at the glalie in the sky before hefting the snorunt up and giving it a slap of the good ol' Iron Tail once more as it headed straight for the ice type in the sky. It missed. Well damn, now he just wasted some ammo. Oh well, he had more pressing matters as the mamoswine that Sova had attacked earlier was heading straight for him.

While Garnet would have liked to grab the glaceon's spikey ass and got the hell out of there at this point, he got the feeling that he would not be able to out-speed the remaining pokemon. Not to mention Acro was knocked the hell out, if not dead. Looks like tonight he was dining in hell...maybe he'll see that mamoswine down there with him!

He gave a loud snarl and launched himself at the Mamoswine before it could do anything to the glaceon. He aimed for the eyes and clung on as tightly as he could as he thrashed away at the ground type in attempt to get it to die already.

Frozen Heights - Page 4 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Frozen Heights   Frozen Heights - Page 4 EmptyWed Jun 01, 2016 5:44 am

-Sova-

Sova watched helplessly as his body failed him when he just needed a bit more strength. He'd known about the side effects of Hyper Beam, but he had just assumed if he pushed himself hard enough, he could overcome them. He'd thought wrong, and he was beginning to understand the consequences of using such an attack carelessly. But maybe this was a good learning experience and nothing more; maybe Acro would be fine without immediate help. Acro was tough and capable of defending himself, even with a less-than-useless ability burdening him. And for a moment, it seemed like the archeops was going to manage just fine without any assistance. Sova felt a faint hint of relief over the pain of his strained body before it was all ripped away in one moment.

The sight reminded him of something. Seeing someone frozen solid was an experience he'd had before. The ice, coating someone he cared about and threatening to take them away forever. It was his fault for making the wrong choice and saving Garnet, surely. Whatever would have happened to Garnet, it had to have been better than.... All he could do was stare wide-eyed and motionless, oblivious to anything happening around him. His maw hung open, emitting sparks of energy as he continuously tried to do the only thing he could think to. He wanted to fire another beam, to ensure that the glalie would no longer attack his friend, but he couldn't. Just as fear began to overcome him, his body started moving. Every step was shaky and weak, but he needed to move.

Suddenly, he was hyper-sensitive to his environment. He caught the mamoswine being attacked by Garnet, but more importantly, something was rushing toward him from the opposite direction. He ducked just in time for a froslass to pass over him: it was the first one he'd attacked, which he had neglected to knock out. As it passed by, he bit onto one of its arms and stopped it from getting out of his range. It formed a Shadow Ball in its free arm and struck him with it, but despite the flashy explosion, the attack did absolutely nothing. He dragged the froslass to the ground and placed a paw on it as he pulled at its arm, bringing a scream out of its lungs. He didn't let up until he heard a snap. It almost instantly passed out afterward, which he assumed was from the pain, but he didn't care. His mouth opened to release the arm and it fell limply to the ground.

Sova's energy was returning to him, and the first thing he did was burn it all firing another, even larger beam of energy directly at the glalie that was still up. This accomplished the goal of finishing it off, but he didn't bother to watch to make sure. Instead, despite his body's protests, he forced himself to run straight toward the frozen archeops as fast as he could. It hurt and he felt like he would pass out if he kept going, but he didn't care. He tried to form another Hyper Beam as he ran, then down-graded to a Shadow Ball, but he was capable of neither, so he ended up just ramming the ice encasing his friend. This pathetic attempt didn't even dent the wall of ice, so he stumbled back and rammed his shoulder straight into it again, and again, and again. Every time he could hear his armor cracking and feel his body being put through more and more pain.

The ice finally began to crack, but he was stopped in confusion when he backed up for another hit and saw a red stain on the surface of the mirror-like material. In his own reflection, he could see that the armor around his shoulder had completely shattered and he was bleeding. He was beginning to feel lightheaded. There was a second mamoswine that he could hear approaching him from behind, and he knew there was no one capable of stopping it. In a last, desperate effort, he slammed into the ice casing around Acro and heard something very loudly crack. Before he could see if it was the ice or himself, he began to fade back into his own mind as if he were about to pass out. His head was spinning, but instead of hitting the ground, he.... turned around to face the approaching mamoswine.

"Oh, are you here to admire the art too?" he could hear his own voice remark.
He was smiling. He could feel it. He felt like he wasn't supposed to behave in such a way, but his mind was so hazy that he just couldn't fight the desire.

The mamoswine didn't slow its approach at all.... until a massive, careless gust of freezing wind swept through the entire area, easily knocking it off its feet. The icy armor around the glaceon had already repaired itself and even grown larger. He bolted forward at a speed that almost seemed as if he were perfectly healthy again and rammed his body into the mammoth. His spikes easily punctured the enemy's underbelly, eliciting a pained roar of sorts from it. He wasn't done yet, though. He pulled himself out of the creature, leaped back, and rammed it once more. This time, the creature made a noise more akin to a groan. He pulled his spikes out of the mamoswine once more and rammed into it a final time, with no reaction.

After a bit of a struggle, S.S. pried himself out of the fallen foe and allowed his armor to begin melting away. He chuckled at the sight of the bleeding body and looked himself over to see the red that was coating parts of himself. He looked like a bloody mess, but most of it wasn't from him.

-Dusk-

"You two are perfect for each other," Dusk commented on the two edgelords whom she could already tell she didn't like.
They seemed to be getting along so well, despite clearly not being particularly interested in anyone else. She, for one, was worried about those who were fighting. She doubted anything would go wrong, but it didn't stop her from being worried. She'd followed Sova in the first place due to being worried about him, and after a short talk with Acro, she didn't want anything bad to happen to him either. Then, to her dismay, the worries she'd hoped to be senseless were fulfilled as Linus pointed out that their "rides" seemed to be.... dying. She didn't immediately turn to see, mostly because she was afraid of if it was completely true. When she finally hesitantly looked to see what was happening, she saw a very much frozen archeops and a glaceon who looked about ready to give out. That looked bad, but if the foes had beaten them, she knew there was no way she could help.

Dusk restrained herself from trying to run in and help them, figuring that she would just get in the way of the one who was still somewhat standing and the capable charmeleon who was already helping. She watched as a froslass approached Sova, and what she expected to happen next was him being defeated. Something very different, and only arguably better happened: the glaceon blocked the attack and proceeded to do something to cause the froslass to scream. She couldn't tell for sure from her distance, but it seemed like he'd broken something on the froslass' body.... very unnecessarily. Sova proceeded to attempt to break the icy casing that had trapped the archeops, and when another foe attacked him, it was met with more unnecessary force. The battle seemed entirely lopsided and more like senseless torture at that point. He seemed to be purposely trying to hurt the foes rather than beating them as quickly and effectively as possible.

To say the least, Dusk was scared and confused. She couldn't even think to hide her feelings, and thus her face made it very clear what she was feeling.

-Krikka-

Krikka chuckled at the comment on how she was "perfect" for her new ally. It was true that they seemed relatively compatible for each other, so she didn't really care about what she could only assume was meant to be an insult. She was considering how to respond when Linus pointed out that their rides were dying. Now that was something she was a tad bit worried about. If the powerful escorts died, how would she get to Treasure Land!? She immediately looked off to the battle to see what the honchkrow was talking about, and sure enough, the two she'd figured were the strongest members of the group seemed to be having a rough time. Sova was at least still standing, but the archeops.... not so much. She knew the archeops was a very capable guild member, Acro, and so the fact that he had seemingly been bested was worrisome.

For a moment, she feared Sova was about to share the same fate, but that fear began to fade as she continued to watch. A mamoswine had attempted to attack the glaceon, only to be intercepted by the guy she didn't really know. She then watched the path of terror the glaceon went on as he seemed oddly more violent than he had previously been. Krikka was extremely hard to scare or unease, so the incredibly violent behavior didn't mean much to her, but it still surprised her. In fact, she was actually enjoying the show.

Frozen Heights - Page 4 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Frozen Heights   Frozen Heights - Page 4 EmptyWed Jun 01, 2016 6:24 am

Don't let them in, don't let them see. Be the good bird you always have to be. Conceal, don't feel, don't let them knooooooow- shit wait what was he doing again? While he was conscious, he was not exactly in the best state of mind. His head felt hazy and it felt like he had just had a large rock dropped onto his head and thrown into a frozen lake.

While he knew he was encased in ice, he felt...nothing. He didn't feel cold, he didn't feel warm, and he just wanted to close his eyes and go to sleep. Obviously that was not the best idea in the world, but at the moment it seemed like the best option. The only thing keeping him from sleeping was that infernal thing that kept bashing into him. Screw off! He was trying to sleep!

The bird wanted to sigh as he heard a cracking noise. Wait...what was that large lumbering shape coming towards hi-OH GOD NO PLEASE STOP!

--

Linus watched the scene unfold, not quite commenting much or showing any emotion at all for the matter. The dark haze that gripped his mind was certainly enjoying the show. If not for the considerable difference in power, he would be joining in on the fun most likely. He only kept back due to the fact that these powerful pokemon not only had a type advantage but a difference in strength.

He watched as there was now only one mamoswine left. The cries of the pokemon as they screamed in pain did nothing but cause the more sane side of his mind to retreat farther into his mind and the dark haze to continue to cloud his mind even further.

--

Garnet did not know what the hell was happening with Sova over there, but he currently had his own concerns. The mamoswine managed to throw him off of its face, but he only clung to one of the tusks. The mamoswine continued to charge forward as it threw its head about in order to shake off the annoyingly clingy lizard.

He decided to take this time to look around and see what was going on. Let's see...Acro was frozen, Sova was having a good time with the other mamoswine, and-oh crap they were headed right for Acro. The Charmeleon snarled and launched himself into the mammoth's face once more.

"Peek a boo!" Garnet snarled as he dug his claws into one of the mamoswine's eyes. The ice type howled in pain and began to shake its head about even more. He managed to divert the path just a bit, but the mammoth slammed its tusks into the Acro Ice Statue and completely shattered the ice enough for Acro to be able to actually fall to the ground.

Garnet released the mamoswine and flung himself off to the side. The mamoswine came to a stop as it swerved around to glare at him with a remaining eye.

"You'll pay for that!" The mamoswine growled.

The charmeleon smirked, it thought it was soooo tough didn't it? The mamoswine launched itself forward with a blast of ice trailing behind it. It slammed right into Garnet, but quickly found that it merely opened an avenue for him to latch onto its face again. Good job mamoswine!

Garnet suffered quite a bit of damage from the attack since it was a head-on collision. The charmeleon coughed and choked up a bit of blood, but merely spat it on the mamoswine before speaking up, "You want an eye for an eye huh? I'll be happy to pay, but I don't have any spares so i'll just stock up!"

The mamoswine's remaining eye widened just before the other claw plunged into it. The creature gave a pained bellow as it began to blindly charge about, and straight into a tree. Garnet had been sandwhiched between the mamoswine and the tree unluckily for him, but this was nothing compared to what Genesect had to offer. While it was still painfull, he thought little of it. He "allowed" the mamoswine to back up and continue its blind rampage, thrashing about and running off into the distance.

Coughing up a bit more scarlet blood onto the white icy snow, he forced himself to stand. He wiped a bit of blood away from his mouth before struggling to take a deep breath of satisfaction, "Arceus that felt good..."

Frozen Heights - Page 4 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Frozen Heights   Frozen Heights - Page 4 EmptyThu Jun 02, 2016 12:16 am

-S.S./Sova-

The glaceon stared with his manic expression and admired his work for a moment longer. The ice coating his body was taking a considerably long time to melt due to the cold environment he was in, and the blood had frozen to his armor. He wasn't ignorant to the fact that the archeops had been freed, but it wasn't something he cared an awful lot about. Worrying about such things was Sova's job, but he was not Sova. Despite the lack of any real worry for the well-being of others, though, he still found himself curious as to what state the bird was in after being frozen solid. He turned around to look at the bird with his wide smile and wider eyes, a bit disappointed by what he saw. Acro was in very poor shape after the ordeal.

Sova could feel disappointment, but it wasn't his own that he was feeling. He was supposed to just be glad that his friend wasn't dead! However, he found himself simply feeling uninterested in the archeops, feeling that he was too weak to be interested in.... It didn't make any sense. Sova could feel his own emotions beginning to return to him as he stared at the injured archeops. It started out slow, then he snapped back to normal so suddenly that he stumbled forward and almost fell over upon regaining control of his body. The smile plastered on his face faded, but his eyes remained widened. His stare lowered from the archeops and toward the ground in front of him, directed at his paws. He could barely remember what had just happened.

Then, to make things worse, one of his front legs began to.... tingle. His left leg. The tingling sensation quickly turned into pain, all over his body but centered in his leg. The shoulder in specific was burning in agony that took all of his will not to scream out from. He slowly turned his head to look at his leg and saw that it was covered in blood.... and in fact, most of that side of his body was in a similar state. However, most of the blood was on top of his frozen fur, as if it weren't his own. He tried to remember what was happened, but it was hazy; all he could recall was that he'd been fighting. The specifics of what had happened were a bit lost to him at the moment. He could feel his head begin to spin, and in that moment, all he could do was force himself not to pass out. He knew the feeling he was experiencing all too well and he was absolutely SICK of it. Whatever the other one had done that he could barely remember, he could handle the effects it was having on his body!

-Krikka-

Krikka glanced over to the other umbreon and held back a smirk at the face she was seeing. It was someone who'd never seen such levels of violence before. She, meanwhile, had partaken in such displays of excess force before. She certainly didn't have the power of the ones who were fighting, but the bloody violence was something she knew well enough. More importantly, though, the foes had been dealt with. Their rides were not dead.... or at least, only one of them was. She personally felt that this was cause for celebration, but her companions didn't seem to agree; one appeared to be completely neutral to the situation while the other seemed horrified that their allies had won.

"Well, it looks like our rides aren't dead after all, eh?" she remarked, mostly hoping to snap Dusk out of the trance she was in.
When that didn't work, the blue-ringed umbreon decided to take a more.... aggressive approach. She got in front of Dusk to ensure that she was the center of attention and spoke up once more: "Your allies won. What's wrong with you?"
She didn't want to blow her cover, but the snowcone wasn't important and she was pretty sure she didn't have to play nice around these two.

-Dusk-

Dusk stared out at the scene before her, foreign to such violence. She'd been in fights, she'd seen bullying, she'd been bullied, and she knew what killing looked like, but this was totally different. Even from where she was standing, it was unnecessarily bloody. She couldn't get a good look at Sova's face, but that wasn't a primary concern to her. She heard the other, annoying umbreon speaking to her. The voice seemed to be muffled by her mind's priorities until the other umbreon got in front of her and blocked her view. She then began to understand what was being said to her, but she still didn't exactly know how to answer. Sure, she was supposed to be happy that her allies had won and weren't dead, but she just couldn't shake the sight of the excess violence. She kind of wanted to be good, after all, so seeing something that seemed so bad was.... unpleasant.

She shook her head to snap herself back into reality before responding. "It's just.... the.... I'm not used to that is all. I knew Sova was violent, but...." she trailed off.
It was hard to think at that moment. It was something she could get over, but it was still a bit unnerving for the time-being and there was nothing she could really do to ease that until she could at least talk to Sova. Was the aggression, perhaps, what he was aiming to get rid of?

Frozen Heights - Page 4 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Frozen Heights   Frozen Heights - Page 4 EmptyThu Jun 02, 2016 5:39 am

Acro was currently teetering on the edge of passing out and remaining awake. His mind was not exactly all there as it felt rather dazed and confused as to what exactly was going on around him. While he did feel confusion, he was not exactly panicked. There was no fear or concern, just...the feeling of being giddy. Stupefied by relief maybe?

He did not know, not did he really care at the moment. He did not force himself up from the ground as he simply laid there and stared up at the sky. If his wings had still not been frozen for the most part the Archeops probably would have been making a snow-angel right about then to be quite honest.

"I think," he finally spoke after some silence, "We should all just lay down and...chill," he found himself giggling at his own horrible pun. Either way, he was not all there in the head at the moment...please leave a message after the tone.

Beep!

--

Linus rolled his eyes as the girls' little exchange. He remained silent as Dusk seemed to be a bit more horrified by the situation. Krikka was being a bit rude to Dusk, but he ran out of f*cks to give the day his mother decided it would be an intelligent idea to simply leave him at small pond with nothing but a note.

He began to scowl as he watched the others, he waited for the Archeops to either get up or be confirmed dead. Oh how he wished he were dead. Linus's life would be so much easier without that damned prehistoric bird! He would be able to run the team and he would do it PROPERLY...how exactly was that, he did not know other than to do the exact opposite of everything this damn bird was doing.

--

Garnet forced his legs to take him closer to the archeops and the glaceon. His head felt rather alight with bliss, adreneline making him a bit giddy. The archeops made a horrible pun, but he did not laugh at it. Instead he approached the bloody glaceon. He had quite a bit of blood on himself and...an eye ball still in his claws. He looked at the eye ball and tossed it aside before he approached Sova, "So, how much of that is yours and how worried should we be for your health?" he asked the glaceon.

He was actually kind of tempted to poke the glaceon in a bit of a joke, but decided against it. The grin from earlier had faded completely into a frown as he decided it would be best to not grin like a stupid idiot while asking if your friend was alive or just dead while standing.

Frozen Heights - Page 4 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Frozen Heights   Frozen Heights - Page 4 EmptyThu Jun 02, 2016 6:27 am

-Sova-

He could hear his heartbeat, and he could hear it; every beat sent another jolt of pain rushing through him in rhythm with his blood flow. It was almost as if he were on fire, which he'd actually been feeling a lot of lately. The fire took different forms, but that always seemed to be what pain made him think of in recent times. Perhaps he was just very angry and thought describing his own pain as fire sounded edgy. Either way, that didn't change the pain he was in.... but it was pushed to the back of his mind when the half-dead bird suddenly spoke up about some nonsense. Something about them needing to.... chill? "Wha...." he managed to get out between his panting.
He slowly shook his head in confusion at whatever the archeops was saying. He wanted to ask if Acro was alright, but it seemed someone else had a similar idea of asking the same question to him, and thus, he had to put his worry for Acro's sanity on hold.

Sova looked himself over briefly before glancing over to the charmeleon. "Considering I'm standing and they're not, I'd hope more of it's theirs," he responded in an attempted joke, hoping to seem alright and avoid worrying his friend.
He certainly was not alright; his body was visibly shaking from the sudden onset of pain, exhaustion, and emotional distress. On top of that, his voice wavered and shook as he spoke, and his expression was a forced, half-hearted smile. All of this came together to make it fairly clear to anyone remotely attentive that he wasn't doing too well.

-Krikka-

Krikka shook her head and chuckled. She expected someone who'd evolved sooner than herself to be stronger than her, but this umbreon seemed to be very lacking in the department of nerves. She found the resident bird's silence in the matter to be odd considering he seemed to like being a jerk, but perhaps that meant he only really liked talking about others behind their backs. So she was with the two cowards. Fantastic! She was beginning to care more about whether or not the more capable bodyguards were ready to move, and thus, decided to just drop the topic since it was beginning to outlive its entertainment value. "Well, they're alive. They won. Now, let's get a move on," she stated and turned to begin walking in the direction of the other three.
She still liked speaking to Linus, but she didn't care for what she'd found to be cowardice within him.

-Dusk-

Upon the suggestion to just "get a move on," Dusk simply nodded and followed along. She just wanted to talk to Sova at the moment, and no remarks the leech could make would change that. Checking to see if the nice archeops was alright was also a priority, of course, but she still couldn't help but worry about Sova. She looked back to the other two for a moment since she'd been charged with the task of looking after them.... which she really figured was just Acro's way of trying to get her to stay out of the fight. But still, she was taking this little job very seriously, especially since it seemed like the archeops had been very severely hurt. She looked back in front of her and trained her eyes on the glaceon in an attempt to see if he was alright. From so far away, all she could see was that he was more red than blue, which didn't really answer the question; it just told her he had definitely played an active part in the fight.

Frozen Heights - Page 4 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Frozen Heights   Frozen Heights - Page 4 EmptyThu Jun 02, 2016 6:53 am

Garnet paused for a brief second after the glaceon's joke with a blank stare, he looked over the glaceon's shaking body before he finally declared the obvious, "Yeah, you're not okay."

"You go lay down and get some kind of rest, I'll go make sure punny-bird over there isn't going to get hypothermia or something on us," he finally gave in to the urge to poke the glaceon slightly with a single talon before turning to head towards Acro...it seemed he was still a bit loopy himself from the rush of adrenaline. He left no room for denial on Sova's part and simply assumed the glaceon would lay down and get some rest.

He passed by Linus, giving him a good strike of his tail for a particular comment the dumb bird made along with a quick and mocking smirk before simply returning to approaching the archeops. When he was close, he figured the best thing to do would be to melt the remaining ice. Being the intelligent fire type he was that was incapable of using any fire moves for the sake of a single damn mission, he turned around and held his tail up to the archeops's wing...this would melt it...eventually...right?

--

Linus followed behind the two umbreons, the client not far behind him. He approached just in time for Garnet to give orders to Sova...what? Since when was he in charge? He looked over to the archeops, and was quite disappointed to find that he was not dead. He huffed quite audibly at the bumbling idiot Acro had temporarily become.

"Is this permanent?" he asked, pointing to Acro as if in disgust. He hoped it was permanent, then maybe he could convince the guild master that he was incapable of leading a team. He would be free, and he would not have to end up on death's door on every damn adventure he went on with this archeops. His only response was a harsh slap from the charmeleon's tail as he passed Linus. A rather insincere apology was delivered, but the mocking face on the reptile's expression only made it even more obvious. He scowled at the charmeleon as it walked away.

"I hate this place," he declared aloud.

--

"N-ice to meet y'all buddiesss" Acro could only say with another strange giggle.
Acro is still unavailable at the moment...and is being skipped.

Frozen Heights - Page 4 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Frozen Heights   Frozen Heights - Page 4 EmptyFri Jun 03, 2016 12:14 am

-Sova-

The haze in his mind was fading and he was beginning to see his recent memories more clearly.  They were still difficult to remember, as if they hadn't been his own, which was because a portion of them really hadn't.  Still, he was beginning to recall the reason why his leg hurt so badly, as well as the violent behavior that he could only blame so much of on.... someone else.  He wasn't worried about Garnet caring if he was violent, but some of the others....  He wasn't sure if everyone would be as nonchalant about such things as Garnet tended to be.  Regardless, he would just have to deal with that if it came up, and there were more immediate things that needed his attention first.  For instance, Garnet was speaking.

Sova sighed at the request for him to rest.  While he appreciated the concern, his physical issues were not the primary concern, and he doubted taking a break would fix the real problem.  On the contrary, the only way to potentially help the problem he was having was to get what he'd come for, which meant he needed to keep moving.  "Rest is for the unburdened," he muttered, though it wasn't meant to be heard by anyone.
He was still speaking loud enough for attentive ears to pick up what he had said, but whether or not anyone heard him wasn't his primary concern.  He looked himself over one more time, observing the blood-painted ice coating his fur.... and suddenly broke into a violent shake.  Much of the ice shattered and crumbled away instantly, which left him looking a lot less red and pointy.  He didn't want to look like that any longer, to be reminded of what had happened.

He decided to sit down and stare at his paws until everyone was ready to go.  He could hear Dusk approaching, but he didn't bother to look up and greet her.  Still, he listened when the umbreon started speaking.  She was asking if he was alright.  Without even looking up, he responded: "You suddenly care?"
Dusk continued to ask him another question, but this one, he wasn't interested in giving a response to.  It was the same question she'd asked earlier: why was he here?  Sova didn't want anyone to know the answer to that unless they had to.

-Dusk-

Ignoring everyone else, Dusk went straight for the depressed-looking glaceon.  As soon as she was close enough to speak without being too loud, she did so.  "Are you alright?" she simply questioned, receiving a rather spiteful comment in return.
Perhaps she deserved it for treating him so bad when he'd saved her life multiple times.  Either way, she wasn't bothered by the hostile comment and just continued with her questions.  She had one more thing she wanted to know, and she really didn't want to wait to find out.  "Why are you here?  What, exactly, are you willing to risk your life for?" she asked.
The question hung in the air for a moment with no response until she finally gave up on waiting for one.  It was clear that he wasn't going to answer, so she'd just have to get the answer on her own.

-Krikka-

Krikka followed along closely to the black bird, as she wasn't particularly interested in anyone else.  She couldn't help but find his comment about Acro to be funny, but that didn't mean she was going to stand up for him.  She merely ignored it when the charmeleon decided to give her new friend a swat for the comment.  Surely, he would understand and would have done the same thing in her position.  Even if that happened not to be the case, she didn't really care.  Linus declared out loud that he hated Mount Frostmeer, and she responded: "I second that."
She moved a bit closer to the bird before continuing.  "Don't worry about him," she said with a slight smile.
The smile was fake and her care toward the honchkrow was equally fake, but she didn't want her closest ally to be too caught up with being moody to think straight.

Garnet heard that, his expression dropped into a rather annoyed frown. Welp his joy and bliss of the battle was just killed. Way to go Sova. He finished melting down a wing of the Archeops, the bird still seemed to be off in la-la land unfortunately. He turned around to say something to Sova about getting some damn rest, but the glaceon was sitting down...he'll take it.

He went back to utilizing the flame of his tail to melt the ice off the Archeops, soaking the bird with the melted ice in the process, but hell at least he would be able to stand and fly properly. They needed to get to someplace that was not cold, especially to dry off for the archeops.

He decided to go ahead and make a decision FOR the group since the two most capable of the group seemed to be out of comission or unwilling. He pointed with his tail to Krikka and Linus, "You two, make yourselves useful and get some dry wood."

--

He glanced to the umbreon as she seemd to be sucking up to him...either that or she was romantically interested in him. He did not know which, nor did he particularly care. "I'm not," he spoke simply...at least he wasn't until Garnet decided to talk specifically to them.

"What?" Linus spoke with a displeased tone as he began to leer at the lizard. Was this guy seriously attempting to order him around? What made his guy think he was so special if he would not listen to Acro?

"Are you deaf?" Garnet replied as he took a step towards the bird, tilting his head with a sinister and fake smile of pleasantry, "I said, go get some dry wood. I would like to make a fire, so that bird-butt over here doesn't get hypothermia if he doesn't have it already. Okaaaay?" Linus could sense the malice in the lizard's tone as he spoke much more slowly and clearly, as if the honchkrow were stupid.

The honchkrow glared at the charmeleon for a second. His gaze switched between Acro and Sova as he debated whether or not he could gut this thing without trouble from them. Sova was still up and running, so he would have to comply...for now. He gave a final "Hmph," before turning and taking off into the sky in order to search for wood.

--

Garnet was satisfied as the defiant little birdie finally caved in. He looked back to the group, it seemed the other umbreon was pestering Sova. Shit what was he going to do with her? He did not exactly know what the relationship between her and Sova was, but it couldn't have been good judging from their current reactions with each other.

Wait-that client-thing! He walked over to Dust, or whatever her name was, "and you make sure that the snow-cone over there doesn't get kidnapped or something. Would make a lot of this trip pointless if it did..." Jeez it would suck to have to go through trying tor rescue that annoying little pest...

"And you," he pointed to the statue of a glaceon, "Might as well lay down and get some kind of rest, because we're probably going to be here for a while."

As if to punctuate his point, Acro spoke up in the background once more, "I guess you could say I can't bear-tic this cold anymore!"

-Sova-

Sova continued staring at his paws as others around him were given orders by the group's resident charmeleon. He didn't really want to look up and thus just let his head hang. He knew Dusk was still next to him, as he could hear her breathing and uneasy shuffling of her front paws, but he didn't care to look up. The umbreon was waiting for an answer that she was never going to get, or at least would have to figure out through some means other than getting him to tell her directly. Luckily, Dusk was directed away from him and seemed to be willing to comply. For a moment, he thought he was free to just sulk, until he was given his own little.... order. He'd sat down and tried to "relax" because he knew Garnet was worried about him and he didn't have anything better to do, but he didn't feel like laying down. He wasn't going to just lay down because someone else wanted him to, because they thought he couldn't handle being up.

The glaceon's eyes glanced over to the charmeleon, though his head stayed where it was. He just stared for a moment with a very.... distant sort of expression before his gaze fell back to his own paws. It was as if his front paws were the most interesting thing in the world, like nothing else mattered at all to him. In truth, he was just feeling lightheaded and was trying to focus on something easy to stay conscious.... and to stay as himself. He wasn't going to lay down.

-Dusk-

Dusk doubted she was going to get an answer, but she still intended to stand by Sova until she no longer could and just wait. She shuffled her front paws idly, which made the most significant noise in the uneasy silence. The glaceon looked so utterly depressed like no one she'd ever seen before. Actually, this entire group just seemed to be full of depression and angst. Really fun bunch of guys. She glanced up when she was acknowledged by the charmeleon and essentially told to leave Sova. She looked back to the glaceon for a moment before sighing and deciding to leave. It hadn't really been her place to come along, so she didn't feel she had any right to ignore what someone rightfully in this group had told her to do.

Besides, guarding someone important seemed like a good enough reason to separate herself from the awkward silence. She wasn't a particularly big fan of Frosty the Snowcone, but she was still alright with protecting them. She doubted anything would happen with Sova around, even a depressed Sova, but it still made her feel somewhat useful.

-Krikka-

Orders. Krikka hated nearly everything, and on that long list of everything, orders were pretty high up. She didn't like being belittled and told what to do by others. She wanted to be the center of attention and respect, not.... someone else's slave. As far as she was concerned, her life's path had been set, and it was not directed toward being a maid. "Kill him," the little voice in her head said.
"Just touch him. Just a little tap, and he'll pay for it."
She knew she couldn't, though, partly because she was in his group, and partly because he seemed capable enough to do more to her than simple poison would make up for. But she was most certainly not going to sacrifice her own dignity just for the sake of not blowing her cover.

....Maybe there was another way, though. She gave a happy nod and smile, perked her ears up slightly, and trotted off in the same direction the edgy honchkrow had gone off in. "Hey, wait up!" she shouted after him in the most innocent voice she could muster.
Acting in such a manner was disgusting, but it would all be worth it for the endgame. "Come down here and keep me company!" she continued.
Linus seemed like he really wanted a piece of the charmeleon as well. She wanted to test her luck and see if she could get this guy in on a little plot for some good ol' fashioned spite.
