| The Burmy had kept walking, but hadn't really paid attention to the thinning of the trees until Pokkoji had pointed it out. He'd been too busy thinking about the information he'd need to note down in his journal about the items they recently found. However, when the Metapod mentioned that it looked like they were nearing the exit, Russell turned his attention to the forest around him.
"I... think you're right," he replied with a small chuckle as he looked around. The number of trees in the area was definitely fewer now, and if he looked ahead, he could see where the treeline ran out entirely, "I wonder what side of the forest we're on..."

| "Lets go and see." Pokkoji said as he started hopping towards it. Pokkoji didn't wait for the Burmy to follow him. He was too curious to see what he would find out there. As Pokkoji reached the exit, he could make out some buildings in the distance. There was no mistaking it. That was Grassveil over there. Pokkoji was happy to see the village over there.
The Metapod turned back to Russel. "Hey look, that's Grassveil over there; See? There are all those buildings over there." He said in a happy tone. He wanted to go back to Grassveil and eat some good food and maybe find a place to stay for a while. He didn't really have the chance to explore the town so far. He would make sure to do that too.

| Russell smiled at Pokkoji's eagerness and promptly followed the Metapod as fast as he could with his small bug body. He caught up to the other just as he stopped and turned towards him to point out Grassveil Town a short distance away.
The Burmy felt an almost wave of nostalgia at the sight. He hadn't really been back to Grassveil Town since he'd left to start the Windrose Scouts. Now that he was here, perhaps he could take advantage of the opportunity and go visit his parents and let them know he was still alive and kicking.
"So it is," he grinned, "It's been a while since I've been back there."

| Pokkoji was pretty happy. It had been a while since he had gone to the village. He was really looking forward to go back there. he could barely contain his excitement. "Hey, lets go to Grassveil. I want to go explore the village. I still have to see so much out there. I really want to eat yummy food too." The metapod was bouncing in place at that point. He could no longer wait. Pokkoji started hopping towards the village, leaving Russel behind. He would catch up if he wanted to come to Grassveil with Pokkoji, right? The Metapod was not paying attention to if Russel was following behind him or not. | |

| Russell halted for a moment, just staring at the cluster of buildings in the distance. He wasn't sure if it was a good idea to go back there just yet or not. He had planned on making more progress on his dream before he went back to see his parents. They had been a little worried about letting him go off into the world due to him being such a small bug pokemon. They knew the dangers and they didn't want to let their child be harmed by them.
Nevertheless it was Russ's dedication that had eventually lead to them changing their mind. He'd worked so hard to learn all he could about cartography, and was really doing his best to follow those dreams of his, even overcoming the physical barrier that made it hard to draw and write. Stopping him from leaving had been unkind in a way.
Russell smiled fondly at the thought of his parents. No, it didn't matter how much progress he'd made yet. He would tell them about the organisation he had formed and the friends he had gained along the way. They'd be proud of him even now!
The young Burmy then followed after the Metapod, eager to reach the small town.
