The Misadventures of the Tree Lurker and His Prey

It was dark. This much was obvious seeing as the setting is a pitch black forest with only random spots of sunlight able to seep through lighting the way. Something less obvious, however, was the Pokemon lurking atop a branch about mid-way up the tree. The only clue that indicated that the Pokemon was there was the occasional glint of weak sunlight against gold and the ever present green eyes that seemed to glow in the gloom.

Keyami was in a tree. It felt like a tree kind of day. Not a bush kind of day, that's for sure. It happened to also feel like a fantastic day for lurking and waiting for unsuspecting passerby. Ohh he was gonna prank these Pokemon SO hard. And it was going to be absolutely perfect.

Astrid's eyes gently blinked open and he groggily raised his head to look around. Realising that he couldn't see very far, he stretched his long body and peered down at the ground. His mind suddenly registered that it was now sunset, and he had slept through the most part of the day up in this tree.
"Well then..." he said to himself as he gently dangled himself down from the treebranch he was on and lowered himself down onto the ground. Astrid wasn't scared of the dark, in fact he liked it because of how much prettier the sky looked at night. However he didn't like being alone...

A devilish smile curled the corners of Keyami's lips, not that anyone could see it in this awful lighting. His whiskers twitched in anticipation. He began to plan out just what kind of joke he'd use on this innocent looking little Pokemon. Nothing too cruel. He didn't want any tears on his conscience. With an internal hum and a nod of approval of his own choice, he whipped out his old fashioned, but favorite trick of all. Yes that's right. Keyami whipped out the Silly String.

The Dratini, adamant to either find his way out of the dark forest, or find someone to talk to, promptly slithered away from his tree and onwards. He focused solely ahead of himself, but listened out for the presence of others. He heard a rustle in the bushes and a grin spread on his face as he slithered towards it. When he reached the spot he sighed as he realised it had been nothing but the wind.
Astrid then once again continued on his path, unwittingly travelling underneath the one specific tree that a certain Meowth was hidden in.

Keyami let out a wicked cackle as Astrid slithered beneath his branch, unable to hold the silence any longer. He showered the Dratini with silly string before slinking to another branch of another tree. He wanted to keep up this game of cat and mouse, (Cat and worm type thing in this case), up for as long as he could.

The Dratini blinked as the silly string draped itself along his body. He wondered where it had come from, and glanced upwards, seeing the shadow of a Pokemon as it moved onto another tree branch.
"Hello up there!" he grinned, glad that at least sometimes, he could be as observant as a detective.
Astrid looked quite silly, still covered in the silly string but he didn't exactly seem to mind. If anything, he quote appreciated the prank. He found it funny.

Keyami said nothing in reply to the Dratini hoping that he could remain anonymous if only for a little longer. He hunkered down lower to the branch he was now perched upon. His grip tightened around the can of spray. He promptly squirted at the Dratini and then threw the now empty can towards it as a distraction. He hopped trees again.

Astrid frowned as more silly string was dumped on him. He dipped his head downwards so that most of it just gathered on top. When he looked up, it was like he had grown some weird form of hair. Astrid reacted quickly to the can being thrown and batted it away with his tail.
"That was rather rude..." he frowned. Unfortunately it seemed that Keyami had unwittingly taken the joke just too far.

Keyami pouted from his tree branch. "Oh pish posh~" He crowed, remaining hidden in the leaves. "I, for one, feel that this joke was very successful. Well.. Actually it failed horribly." He frowned. "I'M A FAIILUUREEE" Suddenly a sobbing wail came from the tree. "I ALWAYS KNEW ITTT"

Astrid blinked, quickly shaking the silly string off of his head. He looked up at the tree again.
"You're not a failure..." he replied, unsure of how to deal with the situation at hand. He thought it best to tell the truth and since he had in no was suspected the prank to 'go down', it must be designated as a success.

Keyami's head poked out from the leaves. He squinted down at the Dratini blinking up at him. "Oh of course I'm not!~" His grin returned as he shimmied down the tree and trotted over to Astrid. "A pleasure to meet you~" He bowed, whiskers brushing his feet. "I'm Keyami~"

Astrid was a little confused at the Meowth's sudden change in behavior but decided to just go with the flow.
"You, too," he smiled, "I'm Astrid."
The Dratini's normally cheerful nature seemed to shine through, despite the previous silly string prank.
"So why are you in such a dark forest....especially as the sun looks like it's about given up on the day."

Keyami beamed at Astrid before turning his head upwards. He stared at the leaves that covered the sky since he was currently surrounded by trees. "So it seems."

After quite a long moment of silence, Keyami looked back to Astrid. "I think I'll call you MWTMF!" He called out, looking as if he had made the name up on the spot. Which he probably had.

Astrid blinked. Keyami hadn't answered his question and instead had presented him with a set of letters that was apparently a nickname.
"MWTMF?" asked the young Dratini, hoping for some clarification as to why this name had been allocated to him.

"Minuscule Worm That's Mildly Fun!~" Keyami explained with a bright yowl. He then dashed off ahead, stopping at the last tree that one could see from where they had been standing. "Coming?~" He grinned, eyes glinting with mischief and a devilish looking need for excitement and adventure. This could really only end badly.
