Lost or found?

Corus tilted his head from one side of the road to another and back again, but couldn't see much due to the taller Pokémon around him. He climbed on a nearby crate in order to get a better view. He repeated his previous action, ignoring everyone that spared him a glance in his search. After a few more seconds, Corus nodded to himself, jumped off the crate and sighed. Yup, he was lost, not all that difficult as he had no idea where anything in this town was. Even worse, he had lost sight of Teach Jack. Corus chuckled to himself in embarrassment as he recalled how they got separated. The Steel type had been amazed by the new sights and the many different Pokémon. So amazed in fact that he had been rooted to the spot and lost sight of his caretaker.

He looked at the iron strapped on his back, shrugged and put the bag on the ground as he sat on his hunches. He then picked an iron ore and started nibbling on it. He might as well stay put and wait for Jack to find him. The Bisharp would quickly notice he wasn't by his side any longer and immediately search for him. Or so Corus hoped. If not, then he'd just find a trustworthy looking Pokémon and ask for directions. It wasn't as if he was pressed for time and now he could even enjoy a little snack.

The small Houndour was confused for a moment when one of the heads started laughing. She had heard each had a personality of their own and she was wondering if it wasn't tiring arguing with eachother like that. Still, she was relieved it didn't end in a fight. The other Pokemon seemed to move on and leave Corus alone. It was not worth their time.

Niracamda smiled at the Aron, despite the pain she was feeling. "I tried following you but then someone kicked me and I ended up against the wall of a building." She explained to him. Niracamda was relieved the Aron was alright, although it should not be that surprising with his though body.

Corus tilted his head in confusion. How did her being kicked throw her off track? It wasn't as if the same thing hadn't happened to him, yet he had been fine. He gave another look at her furred body. Maybe she was less tough them him? Well, not that it mattered in the long run. Corus just opted to nod his head in understanding before a look dawned to him. He turned his body and ran back to the still bickering Pokémon.

"Uhm, excuse me, sir?" The multiple headed Pokémon focused its undivided attention at him. All three were surprised to see him back, having believed he had made his way for a long time by now. One of the more easily frustrated heads opened its beak.

"What do you want? Need our 'help' again to find another lost Mareep?" It's tone was sarcastic and meant to be crawl under his skin. Unfortunately for them, he had very thick armor, not to mention that the tone flew completely over Corus' head.

"I'm sorry for disturbing you, again, but I wonder if you know the direction to the 'police'."

The easiest to deal with nodded and turned its head until his back was facing Corus.

"Just continue down this road and you'll find the office quite easily."

Corus nodded and thanked the Pokémon before he made his way back to Niracamda. "Well then, shall we?"

The shiny Houndour could tell the Aron was confused about something. She was kind of curious what was so confusing but before she could ask, the iron Pokemon walked back to the Dodrio. Niracamda wondered what he was planning to do. It didn't take her long to realize.

Niracamda watched as Corus asked the bird for directions and then walked back. He sure was an interesting Pokemon. "Yes, let's go." She answered as she started walking. She was not exactly sure what way they needed to go to so she stayed close to the Aron. She hoped he didn't mind that.

As he walked Corus let his eyes roam over the town, taking in every building, side road and direction the main road was making. At least his Teach would be proud of him trying to make a mental map of the town. Corus wasn't fooled that the map would be much worth by the next day though, such a thing was too mentally taxing for him. Besides, physical feats were more his forte and he liked it the way it was.

He turned his head to watch a rather strange Pokémon - he'd never seen a tongue long enough to almost reach the ground - and bumped into someone else. It would be a more fitting term to say that Corus barely felt the hit and completely ran the Pokémon over. When he finally took note of his victim, Corus blinked a couple of times as he stared at the downed creature. He tilted his head, having no clue what just happened or why the Pokémon was sprawled over the ground.

"What are you doing on the ground?"

The Pokémon in question pushed himself up and growled at Corus, though it didn't look as menacing as it tried due to still holding its stomach. It wasn't too much taller than Corus and had a rather bulgy head. It looked mostly red with only its belly having a yellowish colour.

"You ran into me, bonehead!"

"What? I did? Huh, sorry. I never noticed you, sorry for that."

Corus had no idea that his apology angered the Magby even more than it had been beforehand. No way was the Fire type going to let this go unanswered.

Niracamda also looked around. She never saw a town like this before. It was so much more lively than the town she grew up in. She tried to take a lot of it in and was mentally trying to determine the species of all the Pokemon she saw.

The shiny Houndour noticed the Magby too late. Corus had already ran over him and he didn't seem too happy. She quickly moved towards them. "Corus, watch where you are going. Most Pokemon don't have such a tough body as you. Niracamda said annoyed to the iron Pokemon. Then she turned her attention towards the Magby. "I'm really sorry. Are you alright? I am a medic so maybe I could do something for you?" The houndour had noticed the Magby was not happy with this and in pain. She was hoping he would calm down at least.

Corus stared in confusion at his companion. Why did she sound annoyed? It wasn't as if he had walked into her. He then gave her a once over, as if he had never seen her before. She was a medic? He wondered how that worked. Did she have some kind of powers that'd allow her to help injured Pokémon.

His gaze fell on the Magby, who scowled at Niracamda. "Do I look that weak that I'd need help from something like YOU? You're not even a normal Houndour, so get your paws off me."

Corus blinked and looked at Niracamda. She wasn't a normal Houndour? Huh, he would have never known. Well, not that being different was all that bad. He shrugged before he addressed the Magby.

"Well, I'm sorry for bumping into you. Okay?"

His scowl was directed at Corus. "No, no it's not okay. You bumped into me, practically ran me over and you think you can get off with a simple 'sorry'? If you kneel before me and ask for forgiveness, I might just not burn you to a crisp." The Magby crossed his arms and smirked arrogantly at Corus, confident that the small quadrupled Pokémon would do just that.

Corus just tilted his head and seemed to go over the Magby's words. He then completely ignored the Pokémon and focused on Niracamda. "Let's continue on, shall we? I really don't want to let Teach wait too long." He did not notice the shocked Magby, nor did he notice the rage flash over the Pokémon's face before it inhaled deeply.

Niracamda was shocked by the reaction of the Magby. Those words stung more than any others insult. "I'm not...normal." The shiny Houndour just repeated that part. Tears were welling up in her eyes. It has been a long time she heard those words but the pain was still the same. She was not paying attention to what happened around her anymore.

Chorus' voice snapped her bacl to reality. She looked at the iron pokemon with a confused expression. "Continue...?" Niracamda had no clue what he was talking about. Then she noticed the Magby was about to attack. "Watch out!" The Houndour yelled as the Magby fired an ember attack. Before she knew it, Nira jumped in front of the Aron and got hit by the flames instead.
