| Did the scyther really have a split personality? S.S. had just assumed it was general insanity, rather than two separate personalities. He'd never really expected to be faced with anyone at all like him, so this was certainly a new experience. He wasn't quite sure yet whether he liked or disliked it. However, more importantly, the scyther had mentioned being made dark, and he just couldn't help but not take it seriously. Instead, his mind instantly thought up something witty and inconsiderate to respond with. It wasn't his job to care about others; he certainly didn't plan to hold his tongue for anyone's feelings.
A smirk crept onto his face as he responded: "Shadows didn't make you dark. Paint did that." He knew exactly what the scyther was talking about, but it was just too good of a joke to pass up. Besides, he wasn't one for.... whatever they were currently doing. The deep, feels-y stuff was very unappealing to him. It wasn't that he didn't understand; he just reeeeeeeeeally didn't care about the problems of others.

Zorre looked at the glaceon. So this guy thought he was funny, did he? "Ha-ha," he deadpanned. "Funny guy, aren'tcha?" He said sarcastically. The glaceon apparently had a sense of humor, at least. That meant that maybe he wasn't a total psychopath. That or he was a psychopath with a sense of humor. Then again, who was Zorre to judge someone else on being a psychopath when he himself might as well be one, if he wasn't already.

| S.S. chuckled at the scyther's response. Clearly, only one of them was amused at this. He knew the bug was probably unhappy about trying to be serious while he was simply making a joke out of the situation, but he didn't care. What was the use in living if he simply lived to please others rather than himself? Perhaps one would argue that he could do both, but Sova had tried that so many times and it simply never worked. "Why be anything else? Whether you're dealt a good life of a bad life, it's best to laugh at it," he spoke with a slight smirk.
Now, he had less of an open, apparent bloodlust, as the fighting seemed to be over. At that, the scyther was being more.... sane, and sanity was less fun to mess with than insanity. The guy was honestly taking the broken arm fairly well, though, and he wasn't sure whether to be impressed or disappointed by this. Maybe both. He wondered if perhaps the scyther could walk, as he really didn't like staying in one place for too long if there was nothing fun going on.

Zorre cocked his head to the side as the glaceon replied to him. He shuddered at the clear malice in the ice-type's tone. "Well, I suppose that's one way to deal with life..." he muttered. "Me, I prefer to paint the world with the blood of my foes. Much prettier than a laugh, in my opinion." He grinned like a shark, but knew that the other fellow would not be intimidated by him.
"Surely someone like you could understand the beauty in that?" He questioned. "You did take quite the pleasure in breaking my arm, after all," he said bitterly, wincing as the pain reminded him of the breakage once more.

| S.S. giggled lightly at the mention of the broken arm, his handiwork. He was quite satisfied with what he'd done, and while perhaps he didn't consider it beautiful, it was certainly enjoyable to him. Sadly, it seemed no more broken bones were in line at the moment, since the scyther was now being considerably more cooperative and had entirely stopped struggling. The reward was less satisfying if it had no struggle to go with it. "If not beautiful, I can at least agree that it's fun. I don't really care whether it's an art, a sport, or an addiction, though," he responded honestly.
With that, the glaceon started off walking deeper into the gulch. "If you'd like to keep this chat going, walk and talk. I'm sure you can do that, since, as you said.... I broke your arm," he paused to turn around and look at the bug with his ever-present smirk. "Not your legs." With that, he turned back toward the path and started walking again. Even he couldn't stay in this place for too long, what with the toxic air, so he'd have to make sure he could thoroughly enjoy himself before he needed to leave. That involved not sitting around doing nothing but having a chat with someone.

Zorre forced himself to his feet unsteadily. He was still interested in the glaceon. Even if he was the prey in this situation for once, his obsession with beauty wouldn't let him just stop talking to the glaceon. The glaceon seemed to understand what made Zorre tick, and he liked that about him. Of course, one falter, one moment of weakness from the glaceon, and the bug would pounce like the predator that he was, but for the moment, he was attracted by the greater power. He followed the glaceon, wincing at the pain in his arm. "Yeah, I still don't know why you had to break it completely," he grumped, his arm limp next to his side. "Besides the fact that it was fun for you," he added, remembering what the glaceon had said previously. - Silver carried out 2 launched of one Venen Gulch :

| It seemed the scyther had the poor sense to follow along. S.S. wasn't intending to kill the guy, but he was still just a bit surprised at this. He focused on the path ahead, though he also listened to the bug's rambling at the same time. The only thing he could think of was how hilariously hypocritical the complaints were. The guy was complaining about a mere wound despite being a murderer? He couldn't help but chuckle in response. "Would you have preferred me to do it your way?" he questioned without looking back. If the scyther wanted to die, then he could accommodate, but he was really just joking. Well, perhaps he was trying to be insulting, but the point was that he wasn't serious. Walking was starting to become a bit of a chore, both due to the exhaustion from the poison and how unfathomably boring it was. He really hoped something interesting would happen soon to occupy his time, or at the very least, that Sova would take over now that there was nothing left for him to do. As much as he liked being free, he didn't enjoy trying to pretend to be normal. If not for his forced attachment to the pathetically weak "good guy," he would likely simply not put up with most of it, but that would result in him being a wanted criminal. He doubted Sova could handle that, and he was pretty sure Sova simply wouldn't cooperate for such a goal. He didn't quite want to push the guy he was bound to into getting killed, whether by accident or.... otherwise. The response from the glaceon shut Zorre up right away. He shook his head wordlessly, conceding to the ice-type's point. He was still surprised that he was somehow still alive in the eeveelution's presence; the other a clear murderous predator like himself -just far superior to him apparently. Zorre skidded on some rocks as the incline began to get sharper, and he fell on his bad arm, sliding into a small hole at the edge of the path they were on. He yelped in pain as his broken arm was jarred, and groaned, leaning his head back, laying it on a hard surface. He looked around at himself, and realized that he was laying halfway on a pretty box of some sort, with a strange looking ticket next to it. He forced himself to his feet again, gathering the items with his good arm and storing them in the pack he carried around his shoulders. - Silver carried out 2 launched of one Venen Gulch :

| S.S. chuckled when the bug followed him fell on its arm. He was well-aware of how bad it had to hurt, but that didn't make it any less funny to see someone have to struggle from injuries he'd given them. He decided to stop and wait for a moment, though, as the scyther was interesting enough to keep around for a while. When it seemed the bug was ready to get going again, he started up walking like nothing had happened. He wondered how long they would be able to stick around here before being forced to leave. Was the scyther feeling the effects of the toxic air yet? "How're you holding up, uh...." he started up, pausing as he realized he did not know the name of the scyther. "Name?" he simply questioned. The guy was crazy, but clearly not an idiot. His question would surely be understood. He sure hoped so, as he didn't really feel like repeating himself. Plus, he didn't like having to deal with idiots.... or anyone, for that matter. Socializing in general just wasn't fun to S.S, not like violence was. There were some whom he was willing to tolerate, but he still didn't necessarily "like" sitting around talking to them. Maybe there were those he would appreciate having as combat partners, but talking? Talking was for those still bearing sanity. Zorre rolled his eyes at the chuckling of the glaceon. He should have known his fall would be hilarious to his traveling companion. Well, he'd probably get a chuckle out of someone else's pain, too, especially if he had been the one causing it. It was hard to stay mad at the glaceon for things that Zorre himself would do in the glaceon's position.
"The name is Zorre," he replied to the glaceon's query. "And I'm doing about as best as one could imagine, with a broken arm... The air is hard to breathe, too. I'd imagine that's the poison in the air around here."

| (And I forgot the edgy red text. Damn.)
Every mention of the broken arm brought joy to S.S. He glanced back at the scyther as he continued walking along, not mentioning the arm. Zorre.... he would remember that. Zorre brought up a good point about the air in this place: it really wasn't pleasant, and even someone as hardy as himself would only be able to stay in it for so long. Sure, he could put up with poison for a while, but that didn't change what it would do to his body if he stayed in it too long. He assumed the same applied to his new friend, since the scyther was complaining about it. Perhaps this meant they'd need to part ways sooner rather than later, or at the very least, they'd need to leave this place.
"Yes, well, there's a reason the name sounds so much like "Venom Gulch." I assume you didn't come here without knowing the risks," he responded. Then the sounds of movement nearby made him stop in his tracks. He wasn't afraid, merely excited. "And I do hope you can still fight. It'd be.... rude of me to take all the fun if we happen to encounter anything," he continued, expecting the sounds to prove to be something hostile. If they were, he certainly didn't want to have to deal with any small fries, nor did he desire to look after a crippled scyther.

Zorre flicked his eyes to the glaceon curiously as the sounds came closer. "I hope I can fight," he replied doubtfully. The broken arm hurt like heck, and if the sounds were anything to go by, he would soon have to fight off feral pokemon in this condition. Sometimes Zorre hated his life.
He flipped around as a koffing came towards him, wheezing a sound that Zorre supposed was meant to be menacing, but only came off as the pokemon being ill. Zorre prepared himself, and then screamed as loud as he could, causing the koffing to flinch backwards from the sheer force of sound being thrown at it.

| Guy was still willing to fight, and apparently able as well. S.S. was impressed. He waited idly for something to attack him, and moments later, the sounds of slithering behind him indicated he was about to get his wish. He spun around to see an arbok inches from him, about to bite into him, but he wasn't intimidated. He stopped it by placing his front paws against the upper and lower jaws of the snake before forcing its mouth open and pinning the bottom jaw to the ground. He then took in a deep breath and blew freezing mist down the writhing snake's throat until it finally pulled itself out of his grip. The arbok immediately tried to attack him again, going for the predictable bite once more, but it just ended up going through an afterimage.
The glaceon's tail swatted the snake in the face as it attempted to keep up with him. This attack didn't do much, and it was just about to lunge for him once more when a freezing wind whipped up along the path his tail had taken. This wind sent the arbok flying back before it finally came to a stop on the ground, unconscious. S.S. then thought to turn his attention to Zorre, but the sounds of something behind him made him spin around. Things here seemed to really enjoy attacking from behind. It was a nidoqueen, raising its arm high above its head in preparation for a Focus Punch. The glaceon lifted one of his front paws just in time to stop the fist from slamming down on him, but the nidoqueen was powerful. That, and the poison was beginning to wear him down.
He estimated he could hold out for about five seconds before his body would give out. Five seconds was plenty of time to decide how to deal with this thing.

The koffing reared back, wailing from the pain in its body as it did so. Zorre stopped screaming, panting from the effort it took to keep up the attack. He peered blearily at the glaceon, pain coursing through his body as he fell over, collapsing from sheer exhaustion. He gave a weak rasp of pain as his injured arm hit the ground, and then he knew no more.

| (Alright, we've decided to end the thread with this page, so I'm gonna go out with a bang!)
S.S. could feel the strength of the nidoqueen overpowering his own. He wouldn't be able to hold the fist back with just one paw for long, yet he showed no signs of panic in the slightest. He merely lowered his paw, allowing the fist to come down on him like a hammer. The cloud of dust that the attack kicked up obscured the two from view for a moment, and when it cleared, he was a few inches back from his original position, just barely out of reach of the nidoqueen's fist that was planted into the ground. He'd purposely waited until the last second then stepped out of the way. A smirk made its way onto his face as he stared the now-growling nidoqueen down, waiting for her to attack again.
The enemy pulled its hand out of the ground, then simultaneously lit both hands on fire. After another growl, she threw a fist forward, but the attack seemed to just go through the glaceon. It took her mind a moment to register that he was no longer standing in front of her, that he had moved so quickly that she couldn't keep up. A giggle sounded behind her, making her whip one of her arms around backward in an attempt to hit the glaceon, but he was already gone by the time she turned around. "You should have gone for Child's Play over there.... I'm out of your league," his voice rang out, but he was difficult to locate. It sounded like he was everywhere. Through the smog, faint images of the glaceon could be briefly seen in random places.
Then he stopped in front of the nidoqueen, and before she could react, he exhaled a burning-cold mist from his lungs. The beast cried out in pain and stumbled backward, but S.S. was forced to cut the stream of mist short when he spotted something coming at him from the lift in his peripheral vision. He glanced over to see a scolipede charging straight for him with green-glowing horns. For someone less capable than him, perhaps such a situation would have been.... problematic. But of course, he was not someone else, and thus it was easy to simply jump up over the creature. He didn't quite get high enough for his legs to clear the massive bug, so he forced his body into a sideways spin as it passed under him in order to completely avoid it. He then came to a near-perfect landing on the-
Or not.
As the fox neared the ground, he felt something latch onto his tail. It burned, but he was suppressing the pain. The nidoqueen had latched onto him, ignoring how his fur-quills were piercing her hand. He was then tossed into the ground, managing to get his body spun around and land on his paws under the conditions and minimize the damage. His legs weren't capable of completely absorbing the shock with no damage at all, but it was enough. He then ripped his tail out of the queen's grip, just as the scolipede came charging at him once more. "You all don't play fair...." he spoke. Then the glaceon turned around and blew a breath of frost onto the dinosaur-thing's hand, forcing it to release his tail.
Just as the giant bug neared, he spun around with his tail out, though it hit neither of the opponents. The nidoqueen raised one of its arms for a Focus Punch while the scolipede neared him with its glowing Megahorns.... Moments before the two attacks would have reached him, the slight changes in air currents caused by spinning in a circle turned into a fierce - albeit short-lived - cyclone of freezing air that quickly stretched outward and sent both of the opponents flying backward. The cold air created diamond dust as it traveled, shrouding S.S. from view in what appeared to be a cloud of mist. Inside the cool, refreshing cloud of ice particles, a faint laughter could be heard. This continued on for a few moments before turning into a cough.
"It looks like it's about time to go. The poison's getting to me, so I'd rather not push my luck," he spoke out. No response. Was his new friend perhaps dead? As the dust cleared, he took a look over to where the collapsed scyther lay. He spotted a koffing nearby and swatted it away like a ball with his tail. He then approached the scythe-bearing bug and carefully leaned down, pressing an ear against his black chest. There was a heart-beat. "Well, I may not be allowed to kill you, but that doesn't mean I have to be your babysitter. I handled the pests.... I'm sure you can manage on your own from here," he spoke, then turned around and began walking toward the way they had both entered the gulch. He spotted a nidorina hiding in the shade under a large rock, staring at him with fearful eyes. Maybe a child of the "queen." He didn't care, and since it wasn't messing with him and didn't look particularly strong, he wasn't going to bother with it.
The glaceon then paused and added on one more thing: "Not really. Good luck, though. Not that you can hear me."
